Definitions
- the invention relates to a threaded rod that can be used for embedding in cement-containing binders according to the preamble of claim 1. Furthermore, the invention relates to an anchoring unit formed from a threaded rod according to the invention and a method for producing the threaded rod.
- screwable steel elements made from conventional, non-corrosion-resistant carbon steels are used as so-called securing elements in the ground.
- These securing elements comprise a threaded rod and can in particular be designed as ground nails, anchors or micropiles. They serve to anchor building pit walls or supporting structures ( Fig. 1 ), anchor rockfall nets or transfer the forces of entire houses into the ground.
- the security elements are used temporarily ( ⁇ 5 years) or permanently (> 5 years). If it is intended to be used for more than five years, this is referred to as a permanent securing element.
- the securing elements In permanent applications, the securing elements should remain in the ground for up to 100 years in accordance with the lifespan of the structures. In order to protect the steel against corrosion for this period, the securing element can be provided with a so-called double corrosion protection ( Fig. 1 ). Corrosion protection is provided by centering the threaded rod in a plastic pipe and filling the space between the threaded rod and the pipe with cement mortar. The steel of the threaded rod is permanently passivated due to the alkaline environment of the concrete. In this case one speaks of a pre-injected system.
- austenitic-ferritic steels also called duplex steels
- Ugigrip 4062, 4362 and 4462 from Ugitech, Inoxripp4486® from Scheibinox or also partially hot-ribbed (Ugigrip 4462 from Ugitech).
- the object of the invention is to provide an improved threaded rod for reinforced concrete construction, with which in particular the above disadvantages are avoided. Further objects of the invention are the provision of an improved anchoring unit and a method for producing the anchoring element.
- the threaded rod according to the invention is intended and suitable for embedding in cement-containing binders.
- the percentages relate to parts by weight and the symbol "x" represents the multiplication.
- the said ferrite factor is also known as the Kaltenhauser ferrite factor (KFF) and is used to estimate the structural components of (partially) ferritic stainless steels ( C. Siyasiya, GT van Rooyen and WE Stumpf, Metallurgical factors that affect the strand width during continuous casting of DIN 1.4003 stainless steel, The Journal of the South African Insitute of Mining and Metallurgy 105 (2005), 473-481 ).
- KFF Kaltenhauser ferrite factor
- the threaded rod according to the invention is provided with a profile in the form of a continuous external thread, the latter can be used on the one hand for screwing on counterparts provided for the intended purpose and at the same time serves as an adhesive-effect ribbing in the entire length range.
- the profile is hot-rolled, there is no material removal during manufacture and, accordingly, there is no undesirable reduction in the effective cross-section in the thread area.
- the hot-rolled profile is dimensioned in the manner of a coarse thread, which, in contrast to a cut fine thread, is not only screwable, but is also robust against damage and dirt and also forms a sufficiently coarse space structure to hold the cement-containing binder.
- the external thread has a related rib surface f R according to DIN 488 of at least 0.056.
- the related rib surface is the rib surface projected onto a cut surface perpendicular to the bar axis, based on the nominal circumference and the average rib spacing.
- the related rib area f R is generally defined as the ratio between the rib area and the friction area between two ribs.
- the threaded rod according to the invention proves to be a cost-effective solution compared to the prior art, in that a comparatively inexpensive stainless alloy is processed in a comparatively simple manufacturing process. In this way, the finished product is produced directly from the rolling heat, eliminating the need for complex corrosion protection on the construction site.
- the threaded rod according to the invention enables the implementation of a coupling system without loss of cross-section.
- a smaller overall diameter is required than with a finely cut fine thread, which can help to reduce weight by up to 40%.
- smaller borehole diameters are possible, and anchors and nails made from threaded rods according to the invention can also be installed more quickly than before.
- a further aspect of the invention relates to an anchoring unit for reinforced concrete construction, comprising a threaded rod according to the invention and at least one counterpart made of a compatible stainless steel, the counterpart having an internal thread that can be screwed onto the external thread.
- a desired ferrite factor and thus the structure or. the mechanical properties can be adjusted. This applies in particular to the elements chromium, silicon, titanium, molybdenum, aluminum, manganese, nickel, carbon and nitrogen contained in the Kaltenhauser formula.
- the chromium content is also important for the corrosion-resistant property of stainless steels.
- Carbon is a strong austenite and therefore also a martensite former.
- the upper limit of carbon to 0.08% by weight ensures that the strength is not too high and the ductility is not too low.
- Higher carbon contents also promote the formation of carbides, which adversely affects the corrosion resistance via chromium depletion at the grain boundaries.
- the manganese content and thus the strength level of the steel is influenced by the manganese content, another austenite stabilizer.
- a certain minimum manganese content is therefore required in order to be able to set a sufficiently high level of strength.
- the manganese content is limited to 1.5% by weight.
- Phosphorus is a steel pest and weakens the structure. For this reason, the phosphorus content was limited to 0.05% by weight.
- Sulfur is a steel pest. Excessive sulfur contents negatively influence the corrosion resistance. For this reason the sulfur content is limited to 0.03% by weight.
- Chromium is the most important alloying element and is responsible for the corrosion resistance of stainless steels. With a minimum component of 10.5% by weight, this alloying element leads to the formation of a passive layer, which protects the underlying metal from attack by surrounding media. The chromium content is limited to 18% by weight in order to suppress the formation of sigma phase, which in particular reduces the ductility. Chromium is a ferrite former.
- Nickel is a strong austenite former and extends the range of states of austenite. As a result, the element has an influence on the martensite content and thus also influences the strength. A certain nickel content is required so that a sufficiently high strength can be achieved. To be sufficiently ductile To ensure structures with a not too high martensite content, the nickel content is limited to 1.5% by weight.
- Molybdenum is a ferrite former and an element that increases the corrosion resistance of stainless steels. Since molybdenum is an expensive alloying element, the content is limited to 0.4% by weight.
- Aluminum is also a ferrite former. Aluminum can be added as a deoxidizer at low silicon contents.
- Niobium stabilizes the ferrite and binds the strong austenite formers carbon and nitrogen, which prevents intergranular corrosion. Therefore, niobium up to a max. 0.2 wt .-% are added.
- titanium is a ferrite former.
- titanium can bind both carbon and nitrogen, making the steel less sensitive to intergranular corrosion.
- the maximum titanium content is limited to 0.2% by weight.
- Nitrogen increases the stability of austenite and thus affects the amount of martensite.
- the nitrogen content is limited to 0.04% by weight in order to ensure sufficient ductility of the steel.
- a hot rolling process with subsequent air cooling is advantageously used in particular for the production of comparatively thin threaded rods (claim 9).
- a cooling rate of 1 K / s is typically achieved.
- threaded rods with an outer diameter of up to 20 mm can be produced, the ferrite factor increasing to a maximum of 11.1 limit (claim 2).
- the ferrite factor can be increased up to 11.3 (claim 3).
- a hot rolling process is advantageously used, in which the cooling is effected in a first step by water cooling to a surface temperature of 350 to 500 ° C. with subsequent air cooling at a cooling rate of approximately 1 K / s (claim 10) .
- the initial water cooling gives the threaded rod a comparatively hard surface layer around a comparatively ductile core (claim 4).
- threaded rods with an outer diameter of 20 to 100 mm can be produced in this way (claim 5).
- a threaded rod according to the invention is in the Fig. 2 shown schematically. This has, in particular, a hot-rolled profile in the form of a continuous external thread.
- the main dimensions of the threaded rod are its outer diameter D, the thread depth H and the thread distance L.
- the external thread is designed such that it has a related rib surface f R of at least 0.056.
- the yield strength (R p0.2 ) and the elongation at maximum load (Agt) are also shown in the table.
- the external thread is for the intended use as a threaded rod formed such that it has a related rib area f R of at least 0.056.
- the yield strength (R p0.2 ) and the elongation at maximum load (Agt) are also shown in the table.

Abstract
Description
Fig. 1 ).
