- the direction of rotation of the cleaning brush 36 or, in the case of several pumps, the direction of rotation of one, several or all of the brushes can be changed by the operator. It is also possible for an electronic control unit to automatically change the direction of rotation of the brushes at predetermined time intervals.
- a suitable valve combination can be provided in a hydraulic motor, which, when the direction of rotation is reversed, simply acts on the hydraulic motor on different lines and with pressurized hydraulic oil.
- the speed of the brushes is preferably between 50 and 90 revolutions per minute, very preferably in the order of magnitude of 70 revolutions per minute. It has been shown that in this speed range, especially outdoors on roads or sidewalks, excellent removal of dirt stuck to the floor, in particular chewing gum residue, is possible.
- the steam or hot water can then be applied to the surface to be cleaned at a suitable point.
- the steam from the boiler the boiler temperature of which is 170 ° C, for example, relaxes in the area of the implement before it hits the ground to a temperature of preferably between 90 ° C and 120 ° C, preferably between 92 ° C and 110 ° C. It has been shown that in this temperature range an excellent removal of chewing gum residues is again possible.
- both hydraulic drives as in the Figures 1, 1a , 2 and 3 as well as drives with steam or mixtures thereof can be provided.
- the invention also relates to the use of a supply unit or a cleaning machine for removing dirt from surfaces located in the outer area, in particular streets and / or sidewalks. Above all, it is possible to remove dirt residues in an excellent manner, in particular chewing gum residues.

Description
The invention relates to a supply unit for a cleaning machine that can be connected via at least one flexible hose according to the preamble of
It is already known to use dry steam (superheated steam) and / or hot water to clean surfaces, for example from chewing gum soiling, with a supply unit providing steam or the heated water, which is then supplied via a flexible hose to the actual, mostly hand-held, cleaning machine is feedable.
In order to improve autonomous operation and to provide powerful components, a supply unit with the features of
The components to be driven can not only be the components of the supply unit itself, for example a water pump for pumping water from the water tank to the heating device or the drive of the suction turbine of the suction device, but also components of a cleaning machine that can be connected to it. In other words, in this variant, the otherwise autonomous drive from the cleaning machine (in particular completely) into the Supply unit relocated. This means that the cleaning machine itself can manage without an energy source, for example a fuel tank or a battery, and yet moving components such as drive wheels or brushes can be driven there.
Furthermore, an embodiment is particularly preferred in which the drives (preferably all drives) are essentially hydraulic. To this end, a (central) drive motor, in particular a diesel internal combustion engine, is provided, the fuel tank of which is arranged in the supply unit. This internal combustion engine then drives one or more hydraulic pumps, the pressurized hydraulic fluid can then be used in many ways, for example to drive the drive of the supply unit, to drive the water pump, the suction turbine, the fan of the heating device or to pump fuel from the fuel tank the burner of the heating device.
The pressurized hydraulic fluid can also be used to drive movable components of the cleaning machine arranged via a flexible hose line via a flexible hydraulic line.
- a hydraulic line for driving movable components
- a superheated steam (dry steam) / hot water pipe to the cleaning machine and
- a suction line for sucking dirty water away from the cleaning machine and back to the supply unit.
The invention is not limited to an internal combustion engine as the central drive source. Other drives are also quite conceivable and possible. Particularly preferred, however, are embodiments in which the supply unit works autonomously, that is to say no further ones from the outside Energy supply is required, but conversely, its energy is made available to the cleaning machines.
These components are not only used to transport fluids, such as hot water, steam or negative pressure hydraulic fluid as well as dirty water, but rather the term "flexible hose" or "line" should also be understood to include a multiple hose, for example for the supply of hydraulic fluid to

From the above it can be seen that the term "hydraulic motor" can be seen very broadly. It also includes pumps that are driven by hydraulic fluid.
Compared to a conceivable electric drive, the hydraulic drive has the advantage of being small in size and lower in weight. The direction of rotation of the cleaning
In order to reverse the direction of rotation, a suitable valve combination can be provided in a hydraulic motor, which, when the direction of rotation is reversed, simply acts on the hydraulic motor on different lines and with pressurized hydraulic oil.
The speed of the brushes is preferably between 50 and 90 revolutions per minute, very preferably in the order of magnitude of 70 revolutions per minute. It has been shown that in this speed range, especially outdoors on roads or sidewalks, excellent removal of dirt stuck to the floor, in particular chewing gum residue, is possible.
The steam or hot water can then be applied to the surface to be cleaned at a suitable point. The steam from the boiler, the boiler temperature of which is 170 ° C, for example, relaxes in the area of the implement before it hits the ground to a temperature of preferably between 90 ° C and 120 ° C, preferably between 92 ° C and 110 ° C. It has been shown that in this temperature range an excellent removal of chewing gum residues is again possible.
