TECHNICAL AREA

The present invention relates to the technical field of fixing a post, such as a post of a traffic sign or a post of a safety railing, and more particularly relates to a device for fixing a post. such a post on a fence.

An advantageous application of the present invention is in the fixing of a safety railing on a steel mesh, having a folded lower part intended to be buried in the ground, as illustrated in particular in the document. WO 98/51869 , see reference 2, and used for stabilizing the approaches and benches of railways and roads.

Another application consists in fixing such a post on a mesh constituting a gabion.

PRIOR ART

In the current state of the art, no solution is known which makes it possible to fix a guardrail directly on a fence.

Indeed, it is rather known to fix a guardrail by means of concrete studs buried and connected to the vertical posts that the guardrail presents.

This solution is long and tedious to implement.

The document EP 2,664,732 describes a socket intended to be fixed to a reinforcing bar of a reinforced concrete grid, and is not suitable for fixing a guardrail directly on a grid. Furthermore, the fixing is effected by actuating means that are difficult to access.

DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION

One of the aims of the invention is therefore to remedy the drawbacks of the prior art by proposing a device allowing a simple and rapid fixing of a post, such as a post of a traffic sign or a post of a guardrail on a fence.

To this end, and in accordance with the invention, there is provided a device for fixing a post to a grid, remarkable in that it comprises a part comprising means for fixing to a lower part of the post, and at least a first clamp intended to grip and be fixed around a wire of the mesh, with said clamp being subject to actuating means for its closure.

Thus, the invention provides a device, of simple design, allowing the rapid fixing of a post on a fence. To do this, it suffices simply to position the post, to which the device according to the invention is fixed in the lower part, and to fix said device to the fence by means of the actuating means.

Preferably, and to facilitate the positioning of the part constituting the fixing device, the latter comprises at least one transverse notch intended to cover a horizontal strand of the mesh.

In this way, the positioning of the part of the device is facilitated, and marked with the aid of the transverse notches.

According to the invention, the means for actuating the collet include a threaded rod fixed in the rear part of said collet and passing through an orifice made in the part, as well as a nut positioned around the rod on the other side. of the workpiece in relation to the gripper. The part comprises two elements projecting in the direction and on either side of the collet, said elements being spaced from each other so that the tightening of the nut allows the gripper to penetrate between the clamps. two elements so as to cause the clamp to close.

The fixing of the post is facilitated, it is enough simply to tighten the nut so that the clamp is fixed around the wire of the wire mesh.

Of course, depending on the positioning of the projecting elements, that is to say either spaced from one another along a horizontal plane, or spaced from one another along a vertical plane, it is possible to cause the closing of a clamp oriented to grip a vertical wire of the wire mesh, or else oriented to grip a horizontal wire of the wire mesh.

According to a particular embodiment of simple design, the clamp is oriented to come to be fixed on a vertical strand of the wire mesh, and the part is in the form of an elongated section in the shape of a “U”, the branches of which are form the projecting elements making it possible to cause the clamp to close.

Preferably, the part comprises at least a second clamp, similar to the first and vertically aligned under the first clamp.

According to a particular embodiment, the collet is formed from a single piece of sheet metal cut and profiled in the shape of a "U", the branches of which are inclined outwards, with the free ends of the branches in the form of a "U". of hooks. In this configuration, the threaded rod is attached to the base of the "U" shape, away from the branches.

Advantageously, and to avoid the presence of a play between the jaws of the clamp and the wire of the mesh, and in order to firmly fix the fixing device to the mesh, the jaws of the clamp each have a notch formed in an orthogonal direction by relative to the direction of approach of the jaws of the clamp, and intended to receive the wire of the mesh.

The invention also relates to a guardrail, of any suitable type, remarkable in that it comprises at least one post and fixing device comprising the aforementioned characteristics, fixed in the lower part of the post.

The invention also covers such a guardrail, which is remarkable in that the device is fixed, on the other hand, to a mesh having a folded lower part intended to be buried in the ground.

According to a particular embodiment, the post of the guardrail comprises a parallelepipedal section, and has at least two lateral orifices passing through, and the fixing device comprises two projecting end fins to laterally grip the post, the two fins being provided with two through holes, in correspondence with the post holes for the passage of fixing screws.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

With reference to figures 1 to 8 , the present invention relates to a device (1) for fixing a guardrail (2) to a fence (3), as well as a guardrail (2) equipped with such a device (1) for fixation.

The present invention makes it possible to fix, in a simple and rapid manner, a post on a fence (3), for example a post of a traffic sign, or a post of a guardrail used to secure the surroundings and benches of railroad tracks or roads or medians.

The fixing device (1) comprises a part (4) comprising means (5) for fixing to a lower part of the post.

According to the embodiment illustrated in figures 1 to 7 , the guardrail (2) comprises horizontal bars (6) and vertical posts (7), and the fixing device (1) is intended to be fixed on a vertical post (7) of the guardrail (2) . Of course, a person skilled in the art will know how to adapt the embodiment of the fixing means (5) to be fixed on any type of existing post, whether they are of parallelepipedal, circular, or other section. For example, if the post (7) is of circular section, the fixing means (5) comprise, for example a sleeve intended to receive in engagement the circular post, in which is or are formed one or more orifices allowing the passage of fixing screws, for example.

In the illustrated embodiment, the fixing device (1) is intended to be fixed to a vertical post (7) of a guardrail (2), of parallelepipedal section. To this end, and with reference to the figure 4 , the fixing means (5) are, for example, in the form of two projecting end fins (8), in particular vertically, to laterally grip the post (7). The post (7) has at least two lateral through holes, and the fins (8) are each provided with two through holes (9), in correspondence with the holes of the post (7), for the passage of fixing screws . Preferably, the orifices (9) of the fins (8) are oblong to allow the height adjustment of the guardrail (2).

Of course, other fixing means (5) can be envisaged, without departing from the scope of the present invention.

With reference to figures 4, 5 , 7 and 8 , the part (4) of the fixing device (1) also comprises at least one first clamping clamp (10) which is intended to grip and be fixed around a strand (11) of the mesh (3).

To this end, the clamp (10) is subject to actuating means (12) for its closure.

According to a preferred embodiment, and with reference to figures 7 and 8 , the actuating means (12) comprise a threaded rod (13) fixed in the rear part of the clamp (10) and passing through an orifice made in the part (4). A nut (14) is positioned around the threaded rod (13), on the other side of the part (4) from the clamp (10), so that the tightening of the nut (14) allows pull on the threaded rod (13), and therefore move the clamp (10) back.

To cause the jaws of the clamp (10) to close, the part (4) comprises two elements (15) projecting in the direction and on either side of the clamp (10), so that when the clamp (10) moves backwards by tightening the nut (14), it penetrates between the two projecting elements (15) so as to cause, by stop, the bringing together of the two jaws of the clamp (10) , and therefore its closure around the wire (11) of the mesh (3), see figure 8 .

The clamp (10) for clamping the device (1) according to the invention is capable of being fixed both around a horizontal strand (11) and a vertical strand (11) of the mesh (3).

Indeed, this depends on the orientation, either vertical or horizontal of the clamp (10), and the position of the projecting elements (15) which can be either vertically spaced from each other or spaced apart. horizontally from each other.

According to the illustrated embodiment, the clamp (10) is oriented horizontally, that is to say that the jaws of the clamp (10) approach each other in a horizontal plane, and the jaws projecting elements (15) to act as a stop for the approach of the jaws of the clamp (10), are horizontally spaced from one another.

In particular, in this embodiment, the part (4) is for example in the form of an elongated section in the shape of a “U”, the branches of which form the projecting elements (15) making it possible to cause the closure of the pliers (10).

Indeed, when tightening the nut (14), the clamp (10) penetrates inside the "U" -shaped profile, and the two jaws of the clamp (10) are found close together. the other, forced by the branches of the "U" shape of the profile, for clamping and fixing around the vertical strand (11) of the mesh (3).

In order to perfectly position the part (4) of the device (1) according to the invention, the latter comprises at least one transverse notch (16) intended to eventually cover a horizontal strand (11) of the mesh (3).

According to a particular embodiment, and to facilitate the design of the clamp (10), the latter is formed from a profiled part in the shape of a "U", for example from a single piece of cut sheet. The branches (17) of this "U" shape, forming the clamping jaws, are inclined outwards, and the free ends of the branches (17) are in the form of hooks, with the threaded rod (13) attached to the base of the "U" shape, opposite the branches (17).

In order to ensure a firm fixing and without play, the jaws of the clamp (10) each have a notch (18), formed in a direction orthogonal to the direction of approach of the jaws, intended to receive the strand (11) wire mesh (3).

Advantageously, the part (4) of the fixing device (1) according to the invention comprises at least one second clamp (19), similar to the first clamp (10), and aligned vertically under the latter, to come to be fixed around of the same vertical strand (11) of the mesh (3).

It emerges from the foregoing that the invention does provide a device (1), of simple, safe and rational design, which allows rapid and easy attachment to a wire mesh (3).

Claims (9)

1. A device (1) for securing a post (7) to a grid (3), the device comprising a part (4) comprising means (5) for securing to a lower portion of the post (7), and at least one first tightening clamp (10) intended to be placed around and secured about a rail (11) of the grid (3), said tightening clamp (10) being firmly fixed to actuating means (12) for closing it, the actuating means (12) comprising a threaded rod (13) secured to the rear portion of the clamp (10) and passing through an orifice provided in the part (4), and a nut (14) positioned around the rod (13) on the other side of the part (4) with respect to the clamp (10), the part (4) comprising two elements (15) protruding in the direction of and either side of the tightening clamp (10), the elements (15) being spaced from each other in a manner such that tightening the nut (14) causes the clamp (10) to penetrate between the two elements (15) in a manner such as to cause the clamp (10) to close.
2. The device (1) as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the part (4) comprises at least one transverse notch (16) intended to go on top of a horizontal rail (11) of the grid (3).

The device (1) as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the tightening clamp (10) is orientated in a manner such as to be able to be secured on a vertical rail (11) of the grid (3), and the part (4) is in the shape of an elongated "U"-shaped profile with the branches forming the protruding elements (15) which can cause the clamp (10) to close.
4. The device (1) as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the part (4) comprises at least one second clamp (19) which is similar to the first clamp (10) and is aligned vertically below the first clamp (10).

The device (1) as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the tightening clamp (10, 19) is formed from a single piece of sheet metal which is cut and profiled into a "U" shape with the branches (17) being inclined outwardly, the free ends of the branches (17) being in the form of hooks, and the threaded rod (13) being secured to the base of the "U" shape, opposite to the branches (17).
6. The device (1) as claimed in one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the jaws of the clamp (10) each have a notch (18) provided in a direction which is orthogonal with respect to the closing direction of the jaws of the clamp (10) and intended to receive the rail (11) of the grid (3).
7. A railing (2), characterized in that it comprises at least one post (7) and a securing device (1) as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 6, secured to the lower portion of the post (7).
8. The railing (2) as claimed in claim 7, characterized in that the device (1) is additionally secured to a grid (3) having a bent lower portion intended to be buried in the ground.
9. The railing (2) as claimed in one of claims 7 and 8, characterized in that the vertical post (7) has a parallelepipedal cross section and has at least two lateral through orifices, and the securing device (1) comprises two terminal flanges (8) which protrude in order to be able to be placed laterally around the post (7), the two flanges (8) being provided with two through orifices (9) which correspond to the orifices of the post (7) for the passage of fixing screws.
