Anchoring device for an avalanche barrier It is known to have tensioned nets to stop avalanches and prevent their propagation and their damage.
The installation of a net is shown in fig. 1 and 2 in which the net 1 is fixed in the ground at 2, 21, 22, 23, etc ... and supported by posts 3, 31, 32, etc ...
Said posts 3 rest on a hooking plate 4, 41, 42, 43 by means of a ball joint 5, 51, 52, 53 and are held by cables 6, 61, 6W, 63 fixed in the ground in 7, 71, 72, 73.
The attachment plates 4 are themselves implanted in the concrete dice shown; in section fig. 3 to ensure stability of the whole net.
This arrangement has various serious drawbacks and in particular the following a) need for neighborhood. rock or hard ground receiving the concrete thimble; b) necessity of supplying materials in particularly inaccessible places; c) very high cost price of the concrete used which amounts to approximately half a m3 per concrete die.
The object of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks.
It relates to an anchoring device for an avalanche barrier net, characterized in that it comprises at its upper part, fixing means for said net and at its lower part, anchoring means intended to be fixed to the ground. .
The anchoring means for rocky and hard ground can be constituted by a plug on which a ring supporting the net is positioned or by several plugs coupled to form at their upper part a kind of screed joined by an axis on which is articulated the lower end of a post that supports the avalanche net.
In soft grounds, the plug can be driven into a wooden keel which is itself stuck in the ground.
The plugs can be formed by a profiled metal frame and be provided along their length with flanges, producing fins forming retaining surfaces when the plug is in the ground.
Figs. 4 to 22 of the appended drawing represent by way of example some embodiments of the positive device which is the subject of the invention.

Figs. 11 and 12 are anchoring devices with metal plugs with flanges arranged in several variants.
Fig. 13 is a sectional view of a metal plug for guy wires or for anchoring nets for example, which can be screwed into the rock.
Fig. 14 is a sectional view of a post provided with a ball joint placed in a cavity dug in the rock. Figs. 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 are views of cards according to several variants.
Figs. 21, 23 and 24 are views. of cards fixed in wooden skittles.
Fig. 22 is a top view of a keel provided with a device against tearing.
The anchoring device shown in fig. 4 is tiné to the rocky ground and is constituted for this purpose by a plug or steel rod 8 blunted at 81 which comprises at its upper part a forged flat head 82, pierced with a hole 83. This hole 83 allows the pitch wise of a pin or a shackle on which come to take position the rings 9 supporting the net, the guying or the anchoring upstream of the net.
Different embodiments of sheets, metal or wood, shown in fig. 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 allow an adaptation determined according to the nature of the terrain.
An anchoring device in soft ground is shown in fig. 6 and consists for this purpose of a plug 8 conforming to that shown in fig. 4, this plug being blocked in a wooden pin 12.
The wooden keel 12 is first driven into the ground and is circled at its upper part to prevent, when the metal plug 8 is driven in, the wood splitting.
The plugs, as shown in fig. 21, 23 and 24 may have several modes of fixing in the pins. To increase the strength of the mooring, the plug is pinned into the wooden keel.
It is obvious that for the location of each wooden keel 12 individual excavations will be made in the land, excavations whose depth will vary with the length of the wooden keel and when this keel 12 is in place, it will be suitably packed. on each side of said keel so as to ensure a solid fixing; this keel can also be fitted with an anti-arcing device (fig. 22). Only then is the plug 8 inserted, maintaining the shrouds or the anchoring of the nets.
You can anchor using cables stretched across two shafts, the cable can be connected to plugs; the cable passing through the plugs themselves or through slings attached to plugs.
When we are in the presence of friable ground such as limestone-schist rock, the sheets 8 shown in fig. 13 can be pressed in a particular way. Indeed, these plugs are provided over their length with a thread 30 and beforehand a pilot hole 31 is drilled in the rock, then the plug is screwed into this hole. The nets therefore penetrate the rock and the inserted plug is held firmly.
The devices comprising a post supporting avalanche protection nets are constructed in different ways and examples are shown in fig. 5 and fig. 7.
The device of FIG. 5 consists of two plugs 8 driven into rocky terrain and the head of which has a hole. These sheets are arranged parallel so that their heads are face to face, which makes it possible to produce a kind of yoke in which the base of the post 3 will engage. An axis 11 will join the post of the plugs 8 and allow the free movement of the post 5.
However, in rocky and hard terrain, it is possible to be satisfied with digging a cavity 28 shown in fig. 14 in which will be placed the base of the post 3 comprising a ball joint 29.
For greater convenience, the base of post 3 can simply be rounded. This rounding allows an oscillation of the post 3 producing a ball joint.
In soft grounds, the pins 8 do not constitute a sufficiently solid base and wooden pins 12 are used (fig. 7). These wooden skittles 12 have on their flat surface two angles 111 placed opposite one another by means of lag screws 17. The. vertical wings of these angles also produce in this case a yoke, and are pierced with a hole, so that they can be poured through a pin 15 which can be held by two pins 16 for example.
It is understood that the axis 16 also passes through the bottom of the post 3, the latter being able to oscillate around this axis.
The cables supporting the nets can also be tied to trees when in a wooded area, these trees being protected at the place of the ties.
If there are no wooden skittles nearby, it is planned to use metal plugs. These metal plugs 18 shown in FIGS. 8, 11 and 12 are produced by an armature constituted by a metal profile such as T, square, rectangle, triangle, etc., one end of which is blunt and the other end of which comprises a fixing device.
To increase the adhesion of the metal sheets 18 in the ground, fins 19, 191, 23, 24, 25, 26 are arranged on said sheet either by 2, by 3, by 4 or in steps or according to any other variant. These fins are provided with holes 27 and allow the flow of water.
The upper end of these plugs 18 comprises a yoke produced by two welded blocks 20 and 21 (fig. 8) or directly provided in the plug (fig. 12). This yoke allows the anchoring of the posts 3, as well as their articulation by an axis 15.
The plugs 18 also include an anchoring device for the upstream fixing and the fixing of. wire. They comprise a ring 32 articulated on an axis 33 making it possible to receive the rings 9 of the nets or the shrouds.
The posts 3 shown in fig. 9 are composed by a flattened tube at both ends 35 and 36 and pierced with holes 37 and 38 for its fixing. These posts receive at their upper part (Fig. 10) the rings 34 and 35 articulated around an axis 36, these rings allowing the mooring of the nets and guy ropes. The posts can also be made in different ways and be made from metal profiles of different cross-section (square, rectangular, triangular, etc.), the ends having been flattened to allow anchoring of the joint.
The sheets 18 may also include on their outer surface adhesion means such as those shown in FIGS. 15 to 20.
In fig. 15, the plug 18 comprises a bead 37 in the form of a helix.
In fig. 16, the plug 18 comprises beads 38 in the shape of a cross forming additional hooking surfaces.
The plug 18 shown in FIG. 17 has ring-shaped bosses 39.
The plug 18 shown in FIG. 18 also comprises ring-shaped bosses 40, these being joined to each other.
In fig. 19, sheet 18 has points 41.
In fig. 20, the plug 18 has a cavity 42 for the passage of a fixing bolt 43.
In fig. 21 and 22, we see a plug 18 fixed in a wooden keel 12, the latter itself being held in the ground by bars 44.
In fig. 23 and 24, we see sheets 18, such as those of FIGS. 19 and 20, fixed in wooden pins 12.
