Abstract

The present invention relates to a device (1) for fixing a post (7) on a mesh (3), such as a post of a traffic sign or a railing (2), remarkable in that that it comprises a part (4) comprising means (5) for fixing to a lower part of the post (7), and at least one first clamp (10) for tightening intended to come to grip and fix around a strand (11) of the mesh (3), said clamp (10) being clamped subject to actuating means (12) for its closure.

Description

TECHNICAL AREA

The present invention relates to the technical field of fixing a post, such as a post of a traffic sign or a post of a safety railing, and more particularly relates to a device for fixing a like a post on a fence.

An advantageous application of the present invention is in the fixing of a safety railing on a steel mesh, having a folded lower part intended to be buried in a ground, as illustrated in particular in the document WO 98/51869 , see reference 2, and used for the stabilization of the surroundings and benches of railways and roads.

Another application consists in fixing such a post on a mesh constituting a gabion.

PRIOR ART

In the current state of the art, no solution is known which makes it possible to fix a railing directly on a mesh.

Indeed, it is rather known to fix a railing by means of underground concrete studs and connected to the vertical posts that the railing has.

This solution is long and tedious to implement.

STATEMENT OF THE INVENTION

One of the aims of the invention is therefore to remedy the drawbacks of the prior art by proposing a device allowing a simple and rapid fixing of a post, such as a post of a sign or a post of a railing on a fence.

To this end, and in accordance with the invention, there is provided a device for fixing a post to a mesh, remarkable in that it comprises a part comprising means for fixing to a lower part of the post, and at least a first clamp intended to grip and fix around a strand of the mesh, with said clamp being subject to actuation means for closing it.

Thus, the invention provides a device, of simple design, allowing the rapid fixing of a post on a mesh. To do this, it suffices simply to position the post, to which the device according to the invention is fixed in the lower part, and to fix said device to the grating by means of actuation means.

Preferably, and to facilitate the positioning of the part constituting the fixing device, it comprises at least one transverse notch intended to come over a horizontal strand of the mesh.

In this way, the positioning of the part of the device is facilitated, and identified using the transverse notches.

According to a particular embodiment, the actuating means of the clamp comprise a threaded rod fixed at the rear of said clamp and passing through an orifice formed in the part, as well as a nut positioned around the rod of the other side of the workpiece relative to the clamp. The part comprises two elements projecting towards and on either side of the clamp, said elements being spaced from one another so that the tightening of the nut allows the clamp to penetrate between the two elements so as to cause the clamp to close.

The fixing of the post is thus facilitated, it is enough simply to tighten the nut so that the clamp is fixed around the strand of the mesh.

Of course, depending on the positioning of the projecting elements, that is to say either spaced from each other in a horizontal plane, or spaced from each other according to a vertical plane, it is possible to close a clamp oriented to grip a vertical strand of the mesh, or oriented to grip a horizontal strand of the mesh.

According to a particular embodiment of simple design, the clamp is oriented to come to be fixed on a vertical strand of the mesh, and the part is in the form of an elongated profile in the shape of "U", whose branches form the projecting elements making it possible to cause the clamp to close.

Preferably, the part comprises at least a second clamp, similar to the first and aligned vertically under the first clamp.

According to a particular embodiment, the collet is formed from a single piece of cut and profiled sheet metal in the shape of a "U", the branches of which are inclined outwards, with the free ends of the branches in the form hooks. In this configuration, the threaded rod is fixed to the base of the "U" shape, opposite the branches.

Advantageously, and in order to avoid the presence of a clearance between the jaws of the clamp and the strand of the mesh, and in order to firmly fix the fixing device to the mesh, the jaws of the clamp each have a notch formed in an orthogonal direction by relative to the direction of approximation of the jaws of the clamp, and intended to receive the strand of the mesh.

The invention also relates to a railing, of any suitable type, remarkable in that it comprises at least one post and fixing device comprising the aforementioned characteristics, fixed in the lower part of the post.

The invention also covers such a remarkable railing in that the device is fixed, on the other hand, to a screen having a folded lower part intended to be buried in a ground.

According to a particular embodiment, the post of the railing comprises a parallelepiped section, and has at least two lateral orifices passing through, and the fixing device comprises two projecting end fins for laterally enclosing the post, the two fins being provided with two through orifices, in correspondence with the orifices in the post for the passage of fixing screws.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

With reference to figures 1 to 8 , the present invention relates to a device (1) for fixing a railing (2) on a mesh (3), and a railing (2) equipped with such a device (1) fixation.

The present invention makes it possible to fix, in a simple and rapid manner, a post on a mesh (3), for example a post of a traffic sign, or a post of a railing used to secure the surroundings and benches for railway tracks or roads or medians.

The fixing device (1) comprises a part (4) comprising means (5) for fixing to a lower part of the post.

According to the embodiment illustrated in Figures 1 to 7 , the railing (2) comprises horizontal bars (6) and vertical posts (7), and the fixing device (1) is intended to be fixed on a vertical post (7) of the railing (2) . Of course, those skilled in the art will know how to adapt the embodiment of the fixing means (5) to fix themselves on any type of existing post, whether they are of rectangular, circular, or other section. For example, if the post (7) is of circular section, the fixing means (5) comprise, for example a sleeve intended to receive in engagement the circular post, in which is or are formed one or more orifices allowing the passage of fixing screws, for example.

In the illustrated embodiment, the fixing device (1) is intended to be fixed to a vertical post (7) of a railing (2), of parallelepiped section. To this end, and with reference to the figure 4 , the fixing means (5) are, for example, in the form of two fins (8) projecting end, in particular vertically, to come laterally enclose the post (7). The post (7) has at least two lateral through holes, and the fins (8) are each provided with two through holes (9), in correspondence with the holes of the post (7), for the passage of fixing screws. . Preferably, the orifices (9) of the fins (8) are oblong to allow the height adjustment of the railing (2).

Of course, other fixing means (5) can be envisaged, without departing from the scope of the present invention.

With reference to figures 4, 5 , 7 and 8 , the part (4) of the fixing device (1) also comprises at least one first clamp (10) which is intended to grip and fix around a strand (11) of the mesh (3).

To this end, the clamp (10) for clamping is subject to actuating means (12) for closing it.

According to a preferred embodiment, and with reference to Figures 7 and 8 , the actuating means (12) comprise a threaded rod (13) fixed in the rear part of the clamp (10) and passing through an orifice formed in the part (4). A nut (14) is positioned around the threaded rod (13) on the other side of the part (4) relative to the clamp (10), so that the tightening of the nut (14) makes it possible to pull on the threaded rod (13), and therefore move the clamp (10) backwards.

To cause the jaws of the clamp (10) to close, the part (4) comprises two elements (15) projecting towards and on either side of the clamp (10), so that when the clamp (10) moves backwards by tightening the nut (14), this penetrates between the two projecting elements (15) so as to cause, by abutment, the bringing together of the two jaws of the clamp (10) , and therefore its closure around the strand (11) of the mesh (3), see figure 8 .

The clamp (10) for clamping the device (1) according to the invention is capable of being fixed as well around a strand (11) horizontal, as a strand (11) vertical of the mesh (3).

Indeed, this depends on the orientation, either vertical or horizontal, of the clamp (10), and on the position of the projecting elements (15) which can be either spaced vertically from each other, or spaced horizontally from each other.

According to the illustrated embodiment, the clamp (10) for clamping is oriented horizontally, that is to say that the jaws of the clamp (10) approach each other in a horizontal plane, and the elements (15) projecting to act as a stop for the approximation of the jaws of the clamp (10), are spaced horizontally from one another.

In particular, in this embodiment, the part (4) is for example in the form of an elongated profile in the shape of a "U", the branches of which form the projecting elements (15) making it possible to cause the closure of the pliers (10).

In fact, when tightening the nut (14), the clamp (10) penetrates inside the “U” shaped profile, and the two jaws of the clamp (10) are brought together one of the other, forced by the branches of the “U” shape of the profile, for tightening and fixing around the vertical strand (11) of the mesh (3).

In order to perfectly position the part (4) of the device (1) according to the invention, the latter comprises at least one transverse notch (16) intended to possibly cover a strand (11) horizontal of the grid (3).

According to a particular embodiment, and to facilitate the design of the clamp (10), it is formed from a profiled piece in the shape of a "U", for example from a single piece of cut sheet. The branches (17) of this "U" shape, forming the clamping jaws, are inclined towards the outside, and the free ends of the branches (17) are hook-shaped, with the threaded rod (13) fixed to the base of the "U" shape, opposite the branches (17).

In order to ensure firm fixing and without play, the jaws of the clamp (10) each have a notch (18), formed in a direction orthogonal to the direction of approximation of the jaws, intended to receive the strand (11) mesh (3).

Advantageously, the part (4) of the fixing device (1) according to the invention comprises at least a second clamp (19), similar to the first clamp (10), and aligned vertically below it, to be fixed around of the same vertical strand (11) of the mesh (3).

It follows from the above that the invention does indeed provide a device (1), of simple, safe and rational design, which allows rapid and easy attachment to a mesh (3).

Claims (10)

Device (1) for fixing a post (7) to a mesh (3), characterized in that it comprises a part (4) comprising means (5) for fixing to a lower part of the post (7), and at least one first clamp (10) for clamping intended to come to grip and fix around a strand (11) of the mesh (3), said clamp (10) for clamping being subject to actuating means (12) for its closure. Device (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the part (4) comprises at least one transverse notch (16) intended to come over a strand (11) horizontal of the mesh (3). Device (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the actuation means (12) comprise a threaded rod (13) fixed in the rear part of the clamp (10) and passing through an orifice formed in the part ( 4), and a nut (14) positioned around the rod (13) on the other side of the part (4) relative to the clamp (10), the part (4) comprises two elements (15) projecting in direction and on either side of the clamp (10), the elements (15) being spaced from each other so that the tightening of the nut (14) makes it possible to penetrate the clamp ( 10) between the two elements (15) so as to cause the clamp (10) to close. Device (1) according to claim 3, characterized in that the clamp (10) for clamping is oriented so as to be fixed on a vertical strand (11) of the mesh (3), and the part (4) is under the shape of an elongated profile in the shape of a "U", the branches of which form the projecting elements (15) making it possible to cause the clamp (10) to close. Device (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the part (4) comprises at least a second clamp (19), similar to the first clamp (10) and aligned vertically under the first clamp (10). Device (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the clamp (10, 19) for clamping is formed from a single piece of cut sheet metal and "U" shaped profile, whose branches (17) are inclined outwards, the free ends of the branches (17) are hook-shaped, and the threaded rod (13) is fixed to the base of the form in "U", opposite the branches (17). Device (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the jaws of the clamp (10) each have a notch (18) formed in a direction orthogonal to the direction of approach of the jaws of the clamp (10 ), and intended to receive the strand (11) of the mesh (3). Guardrail (2) characterized in that it comprises at least one post (7) and a fixing device (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 7, fixed in the lower part of the post (7). Railing (2) according to claim 8, characterized in that the device (1) is fixed, on the other hand, to a grid (3) having a folded lower part intended to be buried in a ground. Railing (2) according to one of claims 8 to 9, characterized in that the vertical post (7) is of rectangular section and has at least two lateral through holes, and the fixing device (1) comprises two fins (8) end, projecting to come laterally enclose the post (7), the two fins (8) being provided with two orifices (9) passing through, in correspondence with the orifices of the post (7) for the passage of screws of fixation.
