Definitions

  • the invention relates to a laundry treatment machine, comprising a tub or a drum, wherein at least one first layer with a noise-dampening effect is arranged on an outside of a casing of the tub or the drum.
  • Such a laundry treatment machine is, for example, from DE 1 938 115 U known.
  • the washing machine previously known from this has a tub and a drum rotating in the tub, with a casing of the tub being provided with an insulating layer on its outside.
  • This insulating layer essentially serves to reduce heat radiation from the outer tub.
  • a noise-dampening effect is achieved with the insulating layer.
  • a washing machine which comprises a tub with an outer insulating layer made of a polymer.
  • a drum for a laundry treatment machine with vibration-reducing, noise-isolating elements arranged on the drum shell is known.
  • the preferred material here is butyl rubber, which can be coated on one side with an adhesive and is arranged along a circumferential groove on the outer peripheral surface of the drum.
  • a drum is shown with a noise-reducing element arranged on the drum shell, which is fixed by means of fastening means arranged on the drum shell.
  • the insulating layer can have a carrier layer which is suitable for leveling out any unevenness in the drum casing.
  • the insulation layer can be formed with an adhesive layer for attachment to the drum shell.
  • the U.S. 2014/0230497 A1 shows various designs of damping elements, which are arranged on the tub casing of a washing machine that can be loaded from above and which reduce the horizontal movements of the tub during operation.
  • the document DE 86 13 673 U1 discloses a washing machine with a tub that is provided with a circumferential insulation layer made of a polymer (polyurethane).
  • the invention therefore faces the problem of specifying a laundry treatment machine with a tub or a drum in which good and long-lasting noise damping can be achieved with little effort.
  • a laundry treatment machine having the features of patent claim 1, according to which the laundry treatment machine comprises a tub or a drum and at least one first layer with a noise-damping effect is arranged on the outside of a casing of the tub or the drum, characterized in that the at least one first layer is formed as a strip of a chemically reactive polymer, the formation of the chemically reactive polymer causing an intimate and thus permanent connection between the first layer and the outside of the shell of the drum.
  • the advantage that can be achieved with the invention consists in particular in the fact that good and long-lasting noise damping can be achieved with little effort.
  • Due to the formation of the at least one first layer as a chemically reactive polymer an intimate and therefore permanent connection is made possible between the first layer and the outside of the shell of the tub or the drum.
  • the first layer according to the invention is intimately and firmly connected to the outside of the shell of the tub or the drum, even under difficult environmental conditions.
  • unevenness in the surface of the outside of the casing can be compensated for by means of the first layer, which is designed as a chemically reactive polymer. Washing machines for use in the household or in commercial use, for example, come into consideration as laundry treatment machines with a tub.
  • Laundry treatment machines with a drum can, for example, be tumble dryers for household use or for commercial use.
  • the chemically reactive polymer can be formed, for example, as a one-component polymer or two-component polymer.
  • the polymer can be, for example, a polyurethane or an epoxy resin.
  • the at least one first layer can be formed in one layer or in multiple layers.
  • a particularly advantageous development of the laundry treatment machine according to the invention provides that at least a second layer made of a chemically reactive polymer is arranged on an outside of a base of the tub or the drum.
  • the noise-dampening effect is significantly improved.
  • the at least one first layer apply analogously to the at least one second layer.
  • the chemically reactive polymer for the at least one second layer can be formed, for example, as a one-component polymer or two-component polymer.
  • the polymer can be, for example, a polyurethane or an epoxy resin.
  • the at least one second layer can be formed in one layer or in multiple layers.
  • the at least one first layer and the at least one second layer are made of the same material. This simplifies the production of the laundry treatment machine according to the invention.
  • the at least one first layer and the at least one second layer can be applied using essentially the same or the same device.
  • the specific density of the first layer and/or the second layer is greater than or equal to 1.4 g/cm 3 , preferably greater than or equal to 2 g/cm 3 . In this way, the noise-damping effect of the at least one first layer and/or the at least one second layer is improved.
  • a further advantageous development of the laundry treatment machine according to the invention provides that the glass transition range of the first layer and/or the second layer is approximately 25°C to approximately 60°C, preferably approximately 25°C to approximately 35°C. This further improves the sound-absorbing effect of the at least one first layer and/or the at least one second layer.
  • a particularly advantageous development of the laundry treatment machine according to the invention provides that the at least one first layer is essentially uniform over the entire free surface of the outside of the casing of the tub or drum and/or the at least one second layer is essentially uniform over the entire free surface of the Are distributed outside of the bottom of the tub or the drum / is. Due to the essentially uniform distribution of the at least one first layer over the entire free surface of the outside of the shell and/or the at least one second layer over the entire free surface of the outside of the floor, the noise-damping effect can be achieved with a lower material usage of chemically reactive polymer .
  • a substantially uniform distribution includes not only a substantially full-area coverage of the respective entire free area, but also only partial coverage of the respective entire free area.
  • a further advantageous development of the laundry treatment machine according to the invention provides that the at least one first layer and/or the at least one second layer is/are each formed as a strip.
  • a material-saving arrangement of the at least one first layer and/or the at least one second layer can be implemented in a technically simple manner.
  • the as a strip formed at least one first layer is distributed substantially evenly over the entire free surface of the outer side of the shell of the tub or the drum and/or that the at least one second layer formed as a strip is distributed substantially evenly over the entire free surface of the outer side of the base of the tub or the drum is distributed.
  • a particularly advantageous development of the aforementioned embodiment of the laundry treatment machine according to the invention provides that the at least one first layer and/or the at least one second layer is/are designed as a single continuous strip. This simplifies the arrangement of the first layer on the outside of the casing and/or the second layer on the outside of the base. In addition, the first layer and/or the second layer can be applied in a time-saving manner.
  • a particularly advantageous development of the laundry treatment machine according to the invention provides that the at least one first layer and/or the at least one second layer are/is designed and arranged in such a way that the at least one first layer and/or the at least one second layer are in a conventional manner Laundry treatment machines existing space can be arranged / is.
  • the invention can be integrated into already existing production devices, so that a far-reaching change of production facilities or the like can be avoided.
  • FIGs 1a and 1b a first exemplary embodiment of a laundry treatment machine according to the invention is shown in part.
  • the laundry treatment machine is designed as a tumble dryer for the household and includes a drum 4 that can be rotated about an axis of rotation 2 for receiving the laundry to be dried.
  • the laundry is not shown.
  • the drum 4 has a jacket 6 and a bottom 8 .
  • On the end face arranged opposite the base 8, the drum 4 has an opening 10 for loading and unloading the drum 4 with laundry.
  • the shell 6 of the drum 4 has a so-called honeycomb structure 12 .
  • the jacket 6 is correspondingly profiled in the area of the honeycomb structure 12 . In the Fig. 1a The visible outside of the shell 6 is therefore not flat in the area of the honeycomb structure 12 .
  • the jacket 6 has two contact strips 14 for sensing residual moisture in the laundry.
  • the two circumferential contact strips 14 are about 4 mm high.
  • the drum 4 is rotated about the axis of rotation 2 by means of a drive belt, not shown, in a manner known to those skilled in the art.
  • first layers 16 are arranged on the outside of the casing 6 , essentially circumferentially and parallel to one another.
  • the two first layers 16 are each in the form of a chemically reactive polymer and are in the form of a single layer.
  • the first layers 16 are formed as a polyurethane.
  • the two first layers 16 are each formed as a strip and have a height of slightly less than 4 mm.
  • the two first layers 16 do not protrude beyond the contact strips 14 . How out Fig. 1b As can be seen, the two first layers 16 formed as single-layer strips are only formed substantially circumferentially and each have a gap 17 in an area required for screw connections.
  • the two first layers 16 each have a density of approximately 2 g/cm 3 and a glass transition range of approximately 30°C.
  • the two first layers 16 are made of the same material.
  • the drive belt is in the present embodiment in the image plane of Fig. 1a arranged to the right of the first two layers 16 .
  • the unevenness of the outside of the casing 6 of the drum 4 due to the honeycomb structure 12 can be compensated for by forming the first layers 16 as chemically reactive polymers. On the other hand, the intimate and firm connection of the first layers 16 is not affected by the unevenness.
  • the tumble dryer according to the present exemplary embodiment has a second layer 18 which is arranged approximately in the shape of a circular ring on the bottom 8 of the drum 4 .
  • the second layer 18 is essentially circumferential, single-layered and made of the same material as the two first layers 16 .
  • the second layer 18 has a density of approximately 2 g/cm 3 and a glass transition range of approximately 30°C.
  • the height of the second layer 18 is such that the second layer 18 does not protrude beyond the edge of the base 8 . See also Fig. 1a .
  • the first two layers 16 and one second layer 18 are dimensioned and distributed over the entire free surface of the casing 6 and the base 8 so that sound absorption, i.e. noise dampening, is satisfactory for use of the tumble dryer in the home. Since the height and length of the two first layers 16 and the second layer 18 are essentially predetermined due to the dimensions of the drum 4 and the desired maximum height for the respective first and second layer 16, 18, the degree of sound absorption is determined in particular by the width of the respective first and second layer 16, 18 adjustable. Correspondingly, a greater width of the first layers 16 and/or the second layer 18 can further improve the noise damping.
  • the two first layers 16 and the second layer 18 are of the same material, it is also possible for the two first layers 16 and the second layer 18 to be applied to the drum 4 by means of a single application device. Furthermore, from the Figures 1a and 1b as can be seen from the above explanations that the two first layers 16 and the second layer 18 are designed and arranged in such a way that the two first layers 16 and the second layer 18 can be arranged in an installation space available in conventional tumble dryers.
  • the Figures 2a and 2b show a second embodiment of a laundry treatment machine according to the invention. This is also designed as a household tumble dryer and only partially shown.
  • the present exemplary embodiment has a total of four first layers 16 running in parallel.
  • the first layers 16 are each interrupted by means of a gap 17 in an area of the jacket 6 of the drum 4 that is required for screw connections.
  • the first layers 16 embodied in each case as strips are therefore only embodied essentially circumferentially.
  • improved noise damping is achieved in the second embodiment by doubling the number of first layers 16 formed as strips. This has, inter alia, a manufacturing advantage.
  • the first layers 16 for tumble dryers according to the first exemplary embodiment and according to the second exemplary embodiment can be produced with one and the same application device.
  • the drive belt not shown, is in the second exemplary embodiment in the image plane of FIG Figure 2a arranged between the two first layers 16 running on the right. A substantially uniform distribution of the first layers 16 over the entire free surface of the outside of the casing 6 of the drum 4 can thus also be improved.
  • the first layers 16, which are designed as single-layer strips, are each significantly reduced in width.
  • the degree of sound absorption depends to a large extent on a substantially uniform distribution of the first and second layers 16, 18 over the entire free surface of the outside of the jacket 6 and the bottom 8.
  • the width of the individual strips 16 a considerable amount of material can be saved and, at the same time, sound absorption that is sufficient in comparison to the second exemplary embodiment can be achieved.
  • the Figures 4a and 4b show a fourth embodiment.
  • the at least one first layer 16 is only formed as a single, continuous strip 16 here. This has advantages in terms of manufacturing technology, for example, since, in contrast to the three first exemplary embodiments, the first layer 16 according to the third exemplary embodiment does not have to be removed when it is applied.
  • the single first layer 16 embodied as a continuous strip can thus be completely applied to the outside of the jacket 6 in a single application step by means of an application device (not shown).
  • the first layer 16 which is designed as a continuous strip, is designed in a meandering shape, that is to say in the form of a snake. Due to the meandering shape of the first layer 16 adapted to the concrete conditions of the drum 4, an interruption of the first layer 16 is not necessary in the present exemplary embodiment, for example due to the area of the jacket 6 of the drum 4 required for screw connections.
  • a fifth embodiment is shown.
  • a single first layer 16 is designed as a continuous strip 16 .
  • the continuous strip 16 in the present exemplary embodiment is arranged in a helical, ie helical, manner on the outside of the jacket 6 of the drum 4 .
  • this type of arrangement of the continuous strip 16 has the manufacturing advantage that the application device for applying the first strip 16 to the outside of the jacket 6 has to be moved much less. Correspondingly fewer forces act on the construction of the applicator. In addition, there is also a not inconsiderable saving of time.
  • a particularly advantageous embodiment of the laundry treatment machine according to the invention is as a sixth embodiment in the Figures 6a to 6c shown.
  • the sixth exemplary embodiment has two strips 16 which are each formed continuously, namely a continuous strip 16 in the respective image plane of FIG Figures 6a to 6c above and a continuous strip 16 in the respective image plane of Figures 6a to 6c below, the upper continuous strip 16 being helically shaped analogously to the continuous strip of the fifth embodiment, while the lower continuous strip 16 essentially forms only a closed strip 16, the ends of which abut one another.
  • the upper continuous strip 16 runs in a helical shape over the outside of the jacket 6 of the drum 4.
  • the pitch of the helical shape is not continuous, ie constant, but rather abrupt. See the Figures 6a to 6c in a synopsis. In this way, on the one hand, an essentially uniform distribution of this first layer 16 over the entire free surface of the outside of the casing 6 is achieved.
  • the seventh exemplary embodiment has two strips 16 which are each formed continuously, namely a continuous strip 16 in the image plane of FIG Figure 7a left and a continuous stripe 16 in the image plane of Figure 7a right, the left continuous strip 16 being helically shaped analogously to the continuous strip of the sixth embodiment, while the right continuous strip 16 essentially forms only a closed strip 16, the ends of which abut one another.
  • the unillustrated drive belt is arranged in the space between the left continuous strip 16 and the right continuous strip 16. As shown in FIG.
  • the two continuous strips 16 in the seventh embodiment are reduced in their respective widths compared to the continuous strips of the sixth embodiment.
  • the course of the respective strip 16 can be better adapted to the requirements of the individual case.
  • the uniformity in the distribution of the at least one first layer 16 on the outside of the casing 6 of the drum 4 is thus further improved.
  • the invention is not limited to the present embodiments.
  • the invention can also be used advantageously in other laundry treatment machines. Only washing machines with tubs are mentioned here as an example.
  • the invention can be used both in household appliances and in appliances for the commercial, ie professional, sector.
  • the chemically reactive polymer does not necessarily have to be a polyurethane or an epoxy resin.
  • Other chemically reactive polymers can also be used according to the invention.
  • the embodiments for the arrangement of the at least one first layer on the casing and the at least one second layer on the bottom are to be understood purely as examples.
  • other shapes are also conceivable for the at least one strip, whether continuous or discontinuous.
  • individual strips can also cross each other or each other.
  • the chemically reactive polymer for the at least one first layer or the at least one first and the at least one second layer can be freely selected within wide suitable limits in terms of type, material, dimensioning, shape and arrangement. This applies in particular to the density, the glass transition range and the number of layers of the at least one first layer or the at least one first and at least one second layer.
  • the design of the at least one first and/or the at least one second layer is not limited to any strip shape whatsoever. Other geometries and profiles of the at least one first layer and/or the at least one second layer are also conceivable.
  • the at least one first layer has been changed.
  • an adaptation of the at least one second layer is also possible depending on the requirements of the individual case. This is also the case because the use according to the invention of at least one second layer has a not inconsiderable share in the sound absorption, ie the noise dampening, of a laundry treatment machine according to the invention.
  • the first layers In the case of a plurality of the at least one first layer, it is not absolutely necessary for the first layers to be made of the same material. The same applies if a plurality of second layers are used.
  • the at least one first layer and the at least one second layer also do not have to be made of the same material as each other.
