Definitions
- the present invention relates to the field of vacuum cleaners equipped with a vacuum cleaner nozzle, also called a suction head, making it possible to suck up dust and small-particle waste present on a surface.
- Vacuum cleaners equipped with a vacuum cleaner nozzle are well known on the market, these making it possible to clean surfaces by suction for the evacuation of dust and waste of small particle size resting thereon.
- the surface to be vacuumed can for example be tiles, parquet, laminate, carpet or carpet.
- a vacuum cleaner nozzle traditionally comprises a connecting sleeve and a sole provided with a lower face and with at least one suction channel communicating with the connecting sleeve and opening onto the lower face of the sole.
- the underside of the sole is intended to be positioned adjacent to the surface to be vacuumed during use of the vacuum cleaner nozzle.
- a sole of the vacuum cleaner nozzle having a substantially triangular shape and provided with a main suction channel opening into the lower face and extending along a first direction of extension which is substantially transverse to a direction of movement of the nozzle d vacuum cleaner, and a secondary suction channel opening into the lower face and extending along a second direction of extension which is substantially parallel to the direction of movement of the vacuum cleaner nozzle, the secondary suction channel being fluidly connected to the main suction channel.
- part of the waste sucked up by the vacuum cleaner nozzle follows the path formed by the main suction channel and is evacuated by a suction duct with which the sole is provided.
- another part of the waste sucked up by the vacuum cleaner nozzle follows the secondary suction channel before being evacuated also through the suction duct.
- the present invention aims to remedy all or part of these drawbacks.
- the technical problem underlying the invention consists in particular in providing a vacuum cleaner nozzle with a reliable and economical structure, while guaranteeing improved suction performance.
- the present invention relates to a vacuum cleaner nozzle comprising a sole having a substantially triangular shape and comprising first and second side edges forming a front tip of the vacuum cleaner nozzle, the sole being provided with a lower face, a main suction channel opening into the lower face and extending along a first direction of extension which is substantially transverse, and for example substantially perpendicular, to a direction of movement of the vacuum cleaner nozzle, and a channel secondary suction channel opening into the underside and extending in a second direction of extension which is substantially parallel to the direction of movement of the vacuum cleaner nozzle, the secondary suction channel being fluidly connected to the suction channel main, characterized in that the underside of the sole has a front part extending from a front edge of the main suction channel to the vicinity of the front tip of the vacuum cleaner nozzle, and for example to the front tip of the vacuum cleaner nozzle, the front part of the underside being substantially planar and being inclined so that, when the sole is placed on a surface to be cleaned, the front tip of the
- Such a configuration of the front part of the underside of the sole has the consequence of reducing the passage section of the air flow at the level of the front tip of the vacuum cleaner nozzle, and therefore of increasing the speeds of air flow at the front tip of the squeegee.
- Such an increase in suction speeds at the front tip of the squeegee improves the suction of large waste via the secondary suction channel and the evacuation of this waste towards the main suction channel.
- the vacuum cleaner nozzle according to the present invention has optimum suction efficiency, and therefore improved suction performance.
- the vacuum cleaner nozzle may further have one or more of the following features, taken alone or in combination.

- the front end portion of the secondary suction channel has a height which decreases in the direction of the front tip of the vacuum cleaner nozzle.
- the sole has a suction orifice opening into the main suction channel, and for example in the central part of the main suction channel.
- the vacuum cleaner nozzle further comprises a fixing part to which is intended to be fixed a suction tube of a vacuum cleaner, the fixing part being pivotally mounted on the sole around of a transverse pivot axis.
- the transverse pivot axis is substantially perpendicular to the direction of movement of the vacuum cleaner nozzle.
- the fixing part comprises a fixing sleeve fluidly connected to the main suction channel and to which the suction tube of a vacuum cleaner is intended to be fixed.
- the sole comprises a suction duct comprising a first end delimiting the suction orifice, and a second end intended to be fluidically connected to the suction tube of the vacuum cleaner.
- the second end of the suction duct is fluidically connected to the fixing sleeve.
- the vacuum cleaner nozzle comprises a flexible connecting conduit connecting the suction conduit to the fixing sleeve.
- the secondary suction channel comprises a deflection part located in the vicinity of the suction orifice, the deflection part being configured to increase a vertical speed of an air flow flowing at the suction port.
- the deflection part comprises an inclined face which is inclined towards the surface to be cleaned in a direction of air flow in the secondary suction channel, so that the section of the channel secondary suction is reduced.
- the vacuum cleaner nozzle comprises a first side brush extending along the first side edge of the sole and a second side brush extending along the second side edge of the sole.
- the first and second side brushes are mounted fixed relative to the sole.
- the sole has a rear edge substantially perpendicular to the direction of movement of the vacuum cleaner nozzle.
- the vacuum cleaner nozzle includes a rear brush extending along the rear edge of the sole.
- the vacuum cleaner nozzle comprises displacement wheels intended to roll over the surface to be cleaned.
