Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a cleaning device for a surface of a cylinder of a printing and / or copying machine, the cleaning device having a cylindrical cleaning element which can be set in rotary motion by at least one drive and which has a cleaning trim on its outer circumference and a suction device that can be guided at least one suction medium has a suction channel aligned on the outer circumference of the cleaning element and extending along the longitudinal direction of the cleaning element.
  • High speed printers and copiers are known from the prior art which use an electrostatically biased transfer roller to transfer charged toner particles from the surface of an exposed and developed film or photoconductor to a web of material to be printed, such as paper. Any residual toner on the film or photoconductor will stick to the transfer roller.
  • the air flow chamber forms an air channel which surrounds part of the fiber brush and has an opening located below the contact area between the fiber brush and the transfer roller and extending along the fiber brush.
  • the document DE 102 10 806 A1 A variability of the distance between the axes of the fiber brush and the transfer roller and a high density of the fiber bristles of the cleaning brush proposed.
  • the engagement that is, the distance between the transfer roller and the cleaning brush, which exceeds a position in which the bristles of the cleaning brush just touch the outer surface of the transfer roller, should be as large as possible, but not too large, so as not to slip or block the To effect transfer roller.
  • the document suggests DE 103 46 659 B3 a cleaning device with a brush roller with an oval or elliptical cross section or with an eccentrically rotatable brush roller.
  • the brush roller should be changeable in the axial direction. It is also considered advantageous for the cleaning effect if the brush facing extending over the width of the roller has bristles of different elasticity which are arranged in zones in the circumferential direction.
  • a cleaning fluid and / or water can be sprayed onto the brush roller via spray tubes in order to increase the cleaning effect.
  • a squeegee engages in the brush roller.
  • the pamphlet US 2004/0131404 A1 includes an apparatus for removing toner from a surface of a photosensitive layer of a copier or printer.
  • at least one rotating brush is used, on the circumference of which fibers are provided.
  • a housing slot is aligned with the brush surface transversely to the axis of rotation of the respective brush.
  • the toner turned away from the brush is carried away from the brush through the respective housing slot transversely to the axis of rotation of the brush.
  • the housing slots extending therefrom are brought together to form a common channel, the direction of removal of the toner also in this channel running transversely to the axes of rotation of the brushes.
  • a cleaning device for a surface of a cylinder of a printing and / or copying machine comprising a cylindrical cleaning element that can be set in rotary motion by at least one drive and has a cleaning trim on its outer circumference, and a suction device for guiding at least one suction medium with at least one suction channel aligned on the outer circumference of the cleaning element and extending along the longitudinal direction of the cleaning element, in which the at least one suction channel is tubular and is arranged parallel to the cleaning element and in the suction channel at least one extending along the suction channel, Suction slot aligned with the cleaning element opens tangentially to a round inner cross-section of the suction channel, a first end of the suction slot being aligned with the cleaning element, whereas a second end of the suction slot opens into the suction duct tangentially to the round inner cross-section of the suction duct.
  • the suction device is arranged on the cleaning element which cleans a cylindrical printing or copying roller of the printing or copying machine and which is preferably arranged parallel to the printing or copying roller to be cleaned.
  • the particles loosened from the print roller by the cleaning element and the cleaning media used for cleaning are suctioned off continuously or in cycles, whereby the cleaning element and the print or copy roller can be kept clean and a high-quality print result can be generated again.
  • the cleaning element which removes ink residues and other particles from the printing or copying roller, is preferably designed in the form of a cylindrical brush which extends over the entire length of the printing or copying roller.
  • the diameter of the brush can, for example, be in a range from 2 cm to 15 cm.
  • the brush used usually has a brush body with a brush trim. There the brush body can be made of wood, plastic or metal and the brush trim made of animal hair, natural fibers, plastic or chemical fibers.
  • the cleaning element can also be formed from a plurality of brushes arranged one after the other in the longitudinal direction of the brush.
  • the individual brushes can have the same and / or different properties, for example the individual brushes can have different diameters or be made of different materials.
  • the cleaning element can also have, for example, a rod-shaped body with a varying diameter.
  • the cleaning element can also have cleaning cloths, nonwovens or the like on its circumference for cleaning the cylinder of the printing and / or copying machine.
  • the cleaning element can be set in a rotary movement by the drive, whereby the printing or copying roller can be cleaned particularly thoroughly.
  • the cleaning process of the cylinder of the printing or copying machine can take place during, after and / or immediately before the start of a printing or copying process.
  • the suction device is advantageously arranged in the immediate vicinity of the cleaning element, so that the ink and dirt particles removed from the printing roller and any cleaning medium that may also be used to clean the printing roller can be suctioned off without any problems and with almost no residue.
  • the suction device in the present invention has a suction slot extending along the suction channel and opening into the suction channel. This suction slot is aligned tangentially to the suction channel cross-section on the cleaning element. The contaminants and / or cleaning media sucked in from the surface of the cleaning element via the suction through the suction slot are passed on into the suction channel and from there to a disposal and / or processing device.
  • the suction channel is coupled to a suction system for sucking in dirt, which includes contaminated cleaning fluid, air, paint, particles, emulsions and the like.
  • a corresponding suction tract is connected to the suction channel for this purpose. The sucked-in dirt thus first passes through the suction slot, then into the suction channel and then from there into the suction tract.
  • a first end of the suction slot is aligned with the cleaning element, whereas a second end of the suction slot opens tangentially to a suction channel cross-section in the suction channel.
  • the suction channel is tubular, is arranged parallel next to the brush-like cleaning element or to the printing or copying roller and extends over the entire length of the cleaning element or the printing roller.
  • the suction slot preferably extends over the entire length of the suction channel and is aligned in the direction of the cleaning element or the pressure roller, so that dirt and / or cleaning media can be suctioned off particularly thoroughly by the cleaning element or the pressure roller.
  • Such a configuration of the suction channel and suction slot leads to a particularly advantageous eddy current formation within the suction channel, whereby dirt particles, cleaning media and the like can be suctioned off particularly well by the cleaning element and / or the pressure roller.
  • suction slots arranged one after the other can also be provided on the suction channel.
  • the suction channel does not have to be tubular, but can, for example, also be designed with an angular internal cross-section.
  • the cleaning device according to the invention With the cleaning device according to the invention, a particularly good cleaning result of the cylinder of the printing and / or copying machine can be achieved.
  • the suction of dirt from the cleaning element according to the invention increases its maintenance intervals and at the same time minimizes its maintenance effort. This is also reflected in the maintenance effort for the printing and / or copying cylinder.
  • the individual components of the cleaning device according to the invention are protected by the suction of impurities, which means that fewer spare parts are required.
  • the suction channel has an inner cross-section that enlarges outward on both sides in its longitudinal orientation.
  • the enlargement of the inner cross-section towards a first and a second end of the suction channel results in an additional suction effect, whereby the cleaning element is suctioned off particularly advantageously and the cylinder of the printing and / or copying machine can be cleaned particularly thoroughly.
  • the tube enlarges conically towards the first and the second end of the tube.
  • the pipe diameter can also be reduced in a step-like manner towards the first and the second end of the pipe.
  • At least one of the webs that form the suction slit and cantilever along the suction channel is made of flexible material.
  • Such a flexible design of the suction slot enables easy cleaning of the suction slot in the event of a blockage by, for example, very large suctioned particles and at the same time prevents the suction slot from being clogged very quickly by larger particles. Due to their flexible design, the webs can be folded away in the event of soiling, for example, and the soiling, such as particles or the like, can be removed from the suction slot.
  • the webs of the suction slot are preferably designed as separate elements and connected to the suction channel.
  • the webs of the suction slot can be made of rubber, rubber or flexible plastic membranes.
  • the suction medium sucked in by the suction slot can be diverted particularly well through the suction channel in the direction of a disposal and processing device of the cleaning device thanks to a favorable eddy current formation around the rod or the inner tube .
  • the diameter of the rod or inner tube can, for example, be between 1 cm and 10 cm.
  • the rod or the inner tube can be permanently inserted into the suction channel or can be inserted into and removed from the suction channel.
  • the rod or the inner tube can be made of plastic or metal, for example.
  • the rod or the inner tube can be designed in a straight line, with a smooth surface or coiled in the manner of a thread.
  • At least one flow baffle is provided in the suction channel in addition to a suction area of the suction channel connected to a suction tract .
  • the flow baffle can be provided, for example, between an inner wall of the suction channel and a rod or inner tube provided inside the suction channel, so that the sucked-in medium can only flow in one direction around the rod or the inner tube, creating a particularly favorable eddy current inside the suction channel trains.
  • the flow guide plate can be made of the same material as the suction channel or a material that differs from the material of the suction channel. Furthermore, the flow baffle can be designed in one piece with the suction channel or it can be attached permanently or temporarily to the suction channel.
  • At least one doctor blade aligned with the cleaning element and around which the suction medium can flow is preferably provided next to the suction channel and along the suction channel.
  • the squeegee serves to wipe off the surface of the cleaning element, the cleaning element typically being moved relative to the squeegee and the squeegee dissolving particles and liquids adhering to the cleaning element, for example paint residues, cleaning agents, water and other fluidic media used in the printing or copying process, which are then sucked off by the suction.
  • the doctor blade is designed in the form of a rod, but in alternative variants it can also be in the form of a plate, strip or block.
  • the doctor blade can be made of rubber, metal or plastic. Only one doctor blade or several doctor blades can be provided along the cleaning element.
  • doctor blade is designed so that its position can be changed relative to the cleaning element within a guide.
  • the guide here advantageously extends parallel to the entire length of the cleaning element, so that all areas of the cleaning element can be reached and cleaned.
  • the doctor blade can be oriented perpendicular to a circumferential surface of the cleaning element or at an angle to the circumferential surface of the cleaning element.
  • the angle at which the doctor blade is aligned with the cleaning element can also be varied.
  • the squeegee can be removed from the guide and can be reinserted into it.
  • the doctor blade can also be permanently installed in the guide.
  • doctor blade can be adjusted radially or linearly in an angular position to the axis of rotation of the cleaning element.
  • Adjusting or removing the squeegee in the direction of the cleaning element allows, for example, that the squeegee can also be used when using differently designed cleaning elements, for example brushes with different diameters or different cleaning materials.
  • the position of the Squeegees can also be positioned or changed in position in the radial direction of the cleaning element as a function of wear of the cleaning element or its cleaning trim and / or for procedural reasons during the cleaning process.
  • a suction channel is provided on both sides of the doctor blade.
  • attaching two suction channels the suction performance of the cleaning device and thus the cleaning result can be improved.
  • attaching the second suction channel also results in a second suction direction for the suction medium to be suctioned off, whereby particles or the like may also be sucked in which would not be captured by the suction effect of the first suction channel.
  • the second suction channel is advantageously designed mirror-symmetrically to the first suction channel, but in certain embodiments of the cleaning device according to the invention can also have a different shape and / or dimensions than the first suction channel.
  • a suction slot oriented towards the cleaning element also extends along the second suction channel as well as along the first suction channel and opens tangentially to the suction channel cross-section in the second suction channel.
  • the sucked-in medium flowing in the second suction channel is advantageously passed on to the same disposal and / or processing device to which the first suction channel is also coupled.
  • the drive for the cleaning element is preferably provided at one longitudinal end of the brush.
  • the cleaning element can also be set in rotation by two drives provided on both sides of the breasts or by a coupling of the brush with the drive of the pressure roller.
  • the cleaning element advantageously rotates in the opposite direction to the cylinder to be cleaned, but can also rotate in the same direction as the pressure roller.
  • the at least one drive is provided within the cleaning element and is attached to a machine wall of the printing and / or copying machine, since the drive can thus be provided in a particularly space-saving manner.
  • two drives for the cleaning element can also be provided in the cleaning element, which drives are fastened to opposite machine walls of the printing and / or copying machine.
  • Such a configuration enables a particularly efficient drive of the cleaning element. Since the inside diameter of the cleaning element is only limited, motors with a small diameter and thus with lower power can also be used as a drive in this embodiment of the invention, since the two motors double the motor power compared to only one motor.
  • the cleaning device has a humidifying device with at least one spray bar extending along the suction channel.
  • a cleaning medium can be applied to the cleaning element and / or the cylinder of the printing and / or copying machine through the spray bar, which supports the cleaning process. By spraying the cleaning medium, in particular dried-on paint residues or paint residues that are difficult to access can be removed more easily.
  • the spraying of the cleaning medium supports the cleaning of the cylinder (s) of the printing and / or copying machine chemically / physically, such as the chemical / physical dissolving of paint residues and / or the emulsification of particles and other solid particles on the surface of the Cleaning element and / or the cylinder located residues of the printing or copying process.
  • a plurality of individual spray nozzles or a spray nozzle extending over the complete or almost complete length of the spray bar can be provided in the spray bar.
  • the spray bar is aligned in the direction of the cleaning element and / or in the direction of the cylinder of the printing and / or copying machine to be cleaned.
  • the spray nozzles can be used permanently during the entire cleaning process, in cycles or only once at the beginning and / or during the cleaning process.
  • two spray bars are provided on both sides of the suction channel, it being possible for the two spray bars to be identical or different.
  • the humidifying device has at least one first spray bar for spraying the cleaning element with water and at least one second spray bar for spraying the cleaning element with cleaning agent, the first and second spray bars being arranged on opposite sides of the suction channel .
  • the separate use of water and cleaning agent means that there is no need to mix the water and cleaning agent before using them. Nevertheless, it can be ensured that the desired ratio of water and cleaning agent is always used during the entire use of the humidifier and that the mixing ratio does not change, for example due to a separation of a water cleaning solution mixed before use. Furthermore, the ratio of the use of water and cleaning agent can be precisely controlled in an uncomplicated manner during the cleaning process. It is also possible, for example, depending on a previously determined degree of soiling of the cleaning element and / or the cylinder of the copier and / or printing machine to be cleaned, to only use water for cleaning at times or to increase or decrease the detergent supply. Of course, the ratio of water and cleaning agent can also remain constant during the entire cleaning cycle.
  • the cleaning device has two suction channels
  • a spray bar is provided next to a suction channel so that the two spray bars enclose the suction channels arranged in the center and aligned parallel to one another.
  • the guide for the doctor blade is provided parallel to the two suction channels, between the two suction channels.
  • two spray bars arranged on both sides next to a suction channel can also be provided.
  • the cleaning device has a first module, which has the cleaning element and its drive components, and a second module, which has the suction, its components and the humidifying device, the second module being the pressure and / or copying machine can be dismantled without having to dismantle a component of the first module from the printing and / or copying machine.
  • the suction and the humidifying device can be cleaned, serviced, repaired and replaced in an uncomplicated manner. Furthermore, the accessibility to the cleaning element and its drive components is improved, as a result of which these components are also easier to clean, maintain, repair and / or replace.
  • the first module can also be removed easily and without problems from the copier and / or printing machine.
  • the components of the second module are provided in a common housing that can be removed from the printing and / or copying device separately from the components of the first module.
  • the housing not only protects against contamination of the individual components, but also makes it possible to remove all components of the first module from the copier and / or printing machine at once, which simplifies the removal and installation of the first module.
  • the components of the second module can also be surrounded by a housing. It is also possible for the first and the second module to be provided by a common module in addition to the housings of the first and second modules or enclosures replacing the housings of the first and second modules.
  • the second module is attached or can be attached to the first module in the manner of a rucksack.
  • at least that part of the second module that is aligned with the first module is adapted to the shape of the first module.
  • the cleaning element of the first module is designed like a cylinder
  • the first module will have a predominantly cylinder-like shape, so that the second module can expediently have a curved, half-tube-like design so that it can be placed on the first module like a backpack.
  • Such a configuration of the second module makes it possible for the components of the second module to interact particularly efficiently with the components of the first module and for the cleaning element or the cylinder of the copier and / or printing machine to be cleaned to be particularly thorough.

  • the cleaning element 3 is not by one
  • the drive shown is driven in rotation and guided over the surface 21 of the cylinder 2 for cleaning the surface 21 of a cylinder 2 of the printing press.
  • the cleaning element 3 rotates in the opposite direction to the cylinder 2.
  • the cleaning element 3 can, however, also be moved in the same direction as the cylinder 2 to be cleaned or stand still in relation to the moving cylinder 2 .
  • the cleaning element 3 is cylindrical and aligned parallel to the cylinder 2, the cleaning element 3 extending over the entire length of the cylinder 2, so that the entire cylinder circumference of the cylinder 2 can be freed of dirt by the cleaning element 3.
  • the cleaning element 3 can be formed from one or more brush (s) and / or have one or more cleaning rags or cloths on its cylinder circumference. • the cylinder 2 to be cleaned is, for example, a rubber blanket cylinder
  • the cylinder 2 can also be cleaned after the end of the printing process and / or before the start of the printing process and / or at intervals during the printing process.
  • the cleaning element 3 is cleaned by the components of the second module 20 of the cleaning device 1, so that a transfer of dirt from the cleaning element 3 during the cleaning process of the cylinder 2 on the cylinder 2 can be excluded.
  • the second module 20, attached to the first module 10 in the form of a backpack, has two suction devices 4, 4 ', a doctor blade 5 and two humidifying devices 6, 6' for this purpose.
  • the second module 20, specifically the half of the second module 20 aligned with the first module 10, is adapted to the shape of the first module 10, in particular to the shape of the cleaning element 3.
  • the suction devices 4, 4 'each have a suction channel 41, 41', in which dirt particles, fluids and the like located on the cleaning brush 3 are suctioned off through a suction slot 42, 42 '.
  • the suction channels 41, 41 ' are tubular, tapering from the two ends of the tube towards its center, with these extending over the entire length of the brush in the longitudinal direction of the brush.
  • the suction slots 42, 42 ' extend over the entire length of the respective suction channel 41, 41', the suction slots 42, 42 'being provided in such a way that they are aligned with the cleaning brush 3 and tangential to the suction channel cross-section in the suction channel 41, 41' flow out.
  • the suction slots 42, 42 ' are formed by webs 43, 43' which protrude from the respective suction channel 41, 41 'and which run along the suction channel 41, 41'.
  • the webs 43, 43 ' are formed from a flexible material, so that a blockage of the suction slots 42, 42' can be avoided or more easily removed.
  • the remaining components of the cleaning device 1, on the other hand, are made of a stable, largely inflexible material, for example plastic or metal, but can also consist of other materials in further variants.
  • the suction medium sucked into the suction channels 41, 41 ' is transported away into a common disposal and / or processing device through pipes (not shown) attached to the suction channels 41, 41'.
  • the suction channels 41, 41 ' are connected to a suction system (not shown here). In this case, suction takes place simultaneously through both suction channels 41, 41 '. Likewise, however, the respective suction medium can also be suctioned off independently of one another via suction channels 41, 41 '.
  • suction devices 4, 4 ′ or only one suction device 4, 4 ′ can be provided on the first module 10 of the cleaning device 1.
  • the suction channels 41, 41 ' have a round internal cross-section.
  • the suction slot 42, 42 can, as in the embodiment shown, extend over the entire length of the suction channel 41, 41 'or be composed of several suction slots 42, 42', which are arranged one behind the other in the suction channel longitudinal direction.
  • a rod or an inner tube through which the suction medium does not flow can also be provided centrally in the tubular suction channels 41, 41 '.
  • at least one flow guide plate can be provided within the respective suction channel 41, 41 ′ to optimize the media line.
  • the doctor blade 5 is provided between the two suction devices 4, 4 ', which is guided in a guide 51 running parallel to the longitudinal extension of the cleaning element 3 and, in particular, loosens stubborn dirt from the cleaning element 3, which subsequently be sucked off by the suction devices 4, 4 '.
  • the doctor blade 5 is rod-shaped and can be moved in the guide 51. Furthermore, an angle of incidence with which the doctor blade 5 is aligned with respect to the cleaning element 3 can also be varied. For particularly efficient cleaning of the cleaning element 3, the position of the doctor blade 5 in particular is shown in FIG The direction of the cleaning element 3 can be changed so that the squeegee 5 can dip deeper or less deep into the cleaning trim of the cleaning element 3. In addition, by moving the doctor blade 5 towards the cleaning element 3, possible wear of the cleaning element 3 during the cleaning process of the cylinder 2 can be compensated for and the cylinder 2 can thus be cleaned with a constant cleaning quality.
  • doctor blades 5 can also be introduced into the guide 51.
  • several guides 51 can also be provided on the second module 20, which have at least one or more doctor blades 5.
  • the doctor blade 5 can also be designed, for example, in the shape of a plate, strip or block.
  • a respective humidifying device 6, 6' in addition to the suction devices 4, 4 ', in the outer areas of the first module 10, there is a respective humidifying device 6, 6', each of which has a spray bar 61, 61 '.
  • the spray bars 61, 61 are aligned in the longitudinal direction of the cleaning element 3 and extend over the entire length of the cleaning element 3.
  • the spray bar 61 acts on the cleaning element 3 with water, whereas the spray bar 61 ′ applies a cleaning agent to the cleaning element 3.
  • the spray bar 61 ′ applies a cleaning agent to the cleaning element 3.
  • the application of water and cleaning agent to the cleaning element 3 is preferably carried out continuously during the entire cleaning process, but can also be initiated cyclically, only at the beginning and / or at intervals during the cleaning process or on the occasion of a previously determined degree of soiling of the cleaning element 3.
  • detergent-water mixtures can also be sprayed onto the cleaning element 3.
  • the cleaning agent and the water can have been mixed before the injection or the cleaning agent and the Water will be sprayed out one after the other from a spray bar 61, 61 'or simultaneously, but separately from one another, through individual spray nozzles provided in the spray bars 61, 61'.
  • the cleaning device 1 can also have more or fewer than two humidifying devices 6, 6 '.
  • the humidifying devices 6, 6 ' also do not have to include a spray bar 61, 61'; instead, the humidifying devices 6, 6 'can also have individual spray nozzles, which are distributed on the first module 10 of the cleaning device 1 and aligned with the cleaning element 3.
  • the first and the second module 10, 20 are surrounded by a housing 100, 200 for easier installation and removal, which at the same time protects the components of the first and second modules 10, 20 from contamination by paint, cleaning agents or the like.
  • the two modules 10, 20 can additionally be enclosed by a common housing, so that the complete cleaning device 1 can also be removed from the printing press or arranged on it all at once.
