Definitions
- the invention relates to a vacuum switch.
- the invention relates to vacuum switches which are designed as outdoor switches.
- a vacuum switch according to the preamble of claim 1, such as. B. from the WO 03/071567 A1 is known, has a vacuum tube in which switching elements are movable relative to each other. Vacuum tubes have a low mechanical bending strength and must therefore be suitably protected and supported, especially if they are used in outdoor switches.
- the invention has for its object to provide a vacuum switch, which is improved in particular with regard to the support of the vacuum tube.
- a vacuum switch comprises two spaced-apart bases, a vacuum tube arranged between the bases and connected to both bases, a first switching element arranged in the vacuum tube, a second switching element between a first switching position in which it is in galvanic contact with the first switching element , and a second switching position, in which it is separated from the first switching element, and a plurality of rod-shaped supporting elements, each having a first end section connected to a first base and a second end section connected to the second base, so that the bases and Support elements form a supporting cage surrounding and supporting the vacuum tube.
- the invention therefore provides for the vacuum tube to be supported by a support cage which is formed from the bases and the support elements.
- the support cage advantageously protects the vacuum tube against mechanical loads.
- a vacuum switch according to the invention is particularly advantageously suitable as an outdoor switch. Installation of the vacuum tube in a hollow insulator protecting it, as in many conventional outdoor vacuum switches, is advantageously dispensed with.
- One embodiment of the invention provides that support elements run obliquely to a longitudinal axis of the vacuum tube.
- the mechanical strength of the support cage formed by the support elements and bases can advantageously be increased by running support elements at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the vacuum tube.
- Another embodiment of the invention provides that support elements are arranged so as to cross each other.
- the intersecting arrangement of support elements can also advantageously increase the mechanical strength of the support cage formed by the support elements and bases.
- the support elements are made of an electrically insulating material. This advantageously prevents the support elements from transmitting electrical voltages or currents between the bases.
- a further embodiment of the invention provides that the first base is rigidly connected to the first switching element.
- the first base also advantageously acts as a carrier for the first switching element.
- a further embodiment of the invention provides that the second base has a base recess through which the second switching element is guided from a gas space surrounded by the second base and protrudes into the vacuum tube.
- the second base advantageously also acts as a guide for the second switching element.
- Another embodiment of the invention provides a bellows arranged in the vacuum tube.
- a first bellows end of the bellows is attached to the second switching element.
- a second bellows end of the bellows is fastened to a bottom of the vacuum tube which bears against the second base and encloses a bottom recess in the bottom of the vacuum tube which corresponds to the base recess in the second base.
- the bellows advantageously seals the inside of the vacuum tube against the gas space.
- Another embodiment of the invention provides a seal arranged between the bottom of the vacuum tube and the second base.
- the seal is, for example, a sealing ring which is inserted into a recess running in a ring around the base recess in a base surface of the second base on the vacuum tube side.
- the seal advantageously seals the area between the bottom of the vacuum tube and the second base against the escape of gas from the gas space.
- Another embodiment of the invention provides an insulating jacket that encases the vacuum tube and the two bases.
- the insulating jacket advantageously protects the vacuum switch against environmental influences, in particular when the vacuum switch is used as an outdoor switch. Since the vacuum tube is supported and protected by the support cage formed by the support elements and bases, the insulating jacket does not have to perform a protective function which supports and protects the vacuum tube and can therefore be designed and configured comparatively simply.
- a further embodiment of the invention provides that the support elements run through the insulating jacket. This allows the insulating jacket to lie directly on the vacuum tube, so that no additional insulating gas is required in the area around the vacuum tube.
- the insulating jacket is at least predominantly made of an electrically insulating material. Resistive components and / or capacitive components can be added to the electrically insulating material of the insulating jacket. This makes it possible to influence the electrical field generated by the vacuum switch by adding resistive components and / or capacitive components to the electrically insulating material of the insulating jacket in one or more areas of the insulating jacket.
- a further embodiment of the invention provides at least one control electrode which is arranged on an outside of the vacuum tube or a base. This can also advantageously influence the electrical field generated by the vacuum switch.
- the vacuum switch 1 comprises two spaced bases 3, 5, a vacuum tube 7, two switching elements 9, 11, two fastening flanges 13, 15, a plurality of rod-shaped support elements 17, a bellows 19, a seal 21, an insulating jacket 23 and a plurality of control electrodes 25.
- the vacuum tube 7 is arranged between the bases 3, 5 and connected to both bases 3, 5.
- Each base 3, 5 is essentially designed as a hollow cylinder, the cylinder axis of which coincides with a longitudinal axis 26 of the vacuum switch 1 and the end facing away from the vacuum tube 7 is open and has an annular base flange 27, 29 projecting outwards.
- a first switching element 9 is arranged on the vacuum tube side and runs along the longitudinal axis 26 in the vacuum tube 7.
- the second base 5 surrounds a gas space 31.
- the end of the second base 5 facing the vacuum tube 7 has a base recess 33 through which a second switching element 11 is guided and protrudes from the gas space 31 into the vacuum tube 7.
- the second switching element 11 runs along the longitudinal axis 26 and is movable between a first switching position in which it is in galvanic contact with the first switching element 9 and a second switching position in which it is separated from the first switching element 9.
- the two switching elements 9, 11 have mutually facing stamp-like contact areas 35, 37 which abut one another in the first switching position.
- the vacuum tube 7 is made wider in the area of the contact areas 35, 37 than in the areas adjacent to the base 3, 5.
- the vacuum tube 7 has a base 39 which bears against the second base 5 and which has a base recess 41 corresponding to the base recess 33 in the second base 5.
- the bellows 19 is arranged in the vacuum tube 7.
- a first bellows end 43 of the bellows 19 is fastened to the second switching element 11.
- a second bellows end 45 opposite the first bellows end 43 is fastened to the bottom 39 of the vacuum tube 7 and surrounds the bottom recess 41 in the bottom 39.
- the bellows 19 closes the inside of the vacuum tube 7 against the gas space 31.
- the seal 21 is arranged between the bottom 39 of the vacuum tube 7 and the second base 5 and seals the area between the bottom 39 of the vacuum tube 7 and the second base 5 against the escape of gas from the gas space 31.
- the seal 21 is designed as a sealing ring which is inserted into a recess 46 in the shape of a ring around the base recess 33 in a base surface of the second base 5 on the vacuum tube side.
- a first fastening flange 13 is arranged on the base flange 27 of the first base 3.
- the second fastening flange 15 is arranged on the base flange 29 of the second base 5.
- the vacuum switch 1 can be connected to other components via the mounting flanges 13, 15.
- the insulating jacket 23 surrounds the vacuum tube 7 and the bases 3, 5.
- the insulating jacket 23 has lamellae 47 which protrude outwards like an umbrella and extend, for example, in a ring around the longitudinal axis 26.
- the insulating jacket 23 is at least predominantly made of an electrically insulating material, for example a silicone. Resistive components and / or capacitive components can be added to the electrically insulating material in one or more areas of the insulating jacket 23 in order to influence an electrical field of the vacuum switch 1. Carbon, for example, can be used as a resistive component. Microvaristors, for example, can be used as capacitive components.
- control electrodes 25 are optional components of the vacuum switch 1 and each run in a ring around one of the bases 3, 5 or around the vacuum tube 7.
- the control electrodes 25 also serve to influence the electrical field of the vacuum switch 1.
- Each support element 17 has a first end section 49 connected to the first base 3 and a second end section 51 connected to the second base 5.
- the first end section 49 runs through a flange recess 53 in the base flange 27 of the first base 3 into a flange recess 57 in the surface of the first fastening flange 13 facing the first base 3.
- the second end section 49 extends through a flange recess 55 in the base flange 29 of the second base 5 into a flange recess 59 in the surface of the second fastening flange 15 facing the second base 5.
- the support elements 17 run parallel to the longitudinal axis 26. In alternative exemplary embodiments, several or all of the support elements 17 run obliquely to the longitudinal axis 26, it being possible for support elements 17 to be arranged, in particular, crossing one another.
- the support elements 17 are made of an electrically insulating material.
- the bases 3, 5 are braced against one another in tension and / or pressure, so that the bases 3, 5 and support elements 17 form a support cage which surrounds and supports the vacuum tube 7 in a stable manner.
- the support elements 17 run between the two bases 3, 5 each through the insulating jacket 23.
- the bases 3, 5, the vacuum tube 7, the support elements 17 and the control electrodes 25 are covered with the insulating jacket 23 after their connection to one another .
