Definitions
- the invention relates to a drainage sieve for a wash basin for collecting foreign bodies of a predetermined minimum size with a convexly curved surface, as well as a wash basin with a drainage sieve according to the invention.
- Wash basins with a basin that is open at the top in an installed state and a drain opening at its deepest point, to which a drain, for example in the form of a drain pipe, is connected are widely known. They are also used in the sanitary cells of rail vehicles.
- the drain In the usual installation state of the wash basin, the drain has an opening with a mostly vertical opening axis. Openings in the drain that are too large should prevent foreign objects such as cigarette butts from getting into the drain. Therefore, drain sieves are conventionally arranged in the area of the drain in order to catch foreign bodies of a predetermined minimum size. Drain closures that can be raised and lowered using a lever mechanism have also become known. When lowered, these seal the drainage opening of the washbasin tightly.
- an open drain plug When raised, they allow water to drain out of the sink through a gap between their underside and the sink. Since the gap also has predetermined dimensions and serves to hold back larger foreign bodies, an open drain plug also functions as a drain sieve. The process can also be referred to as a discharge.
- the water that emerges from a faucet arranged above the sink can fall onto the concave surface of the sink or onto a centrally arranged drain sieve or onto a drain plug. This can lead to splashes and the water is distributed throughout the entire wash basin and possibly on one of the areas surrounding it Vanity. This can also lead to the user being sprayed wet, which should be avoided if possible. Especially when the user just stands in front of the sink without washing his hands, he shouldn't be splashed wet by the running water.
- a convex surface lets the water splash away to the side.
- the wash basin is concave.
- an attempt is made to position the point of impact of the water jet in the middle of the convex-shaped outlet sieve by arranging the faucet to the wash basin in order to reduce splashing.
- This outlet strainer consists of a convex surface that is provided with holes so that the water can drain through the holes. The holes in the outlet sieve are the cause of the splash.
- the hand washing water is often provided via a fall water system. Depending on the fill level of the tank, the water escapes to different degrees. This often changes the point of impact in the wash basin, which again leads to splashing, since the ideal point of impact in the middle of the wash basin is missed.
- the pamphlets U.S. 2,317,707 A , US 2012/0 005 814 A1 , US 2013/0 333 106 A1 and DE 825 830 B disclose generic drainage screens, each having a surface to rest on show the wash basin in the area of a drain of the wash basin and a curved surface, which curved surface of the drain sieve can be curved towards the support surface of the drain sieve.
- the curved surface has openings for the passage of water, the size of which depends on the specified minimum size of the foreign bodies that are to be caught by the drainage sieve. Support surface and curved surface merge continuously.
- the US 951 795 A teaches an insert for a sewer pipe with a bell-shaped shield disposed over it to prevent backflow of gases from the sewer pipe.
- the invention is based on the object of avoiding splashes from the side.
- a drain sieve according to the invention for a wash basin for collecting foreign bodies of a predetermined minimum size has a curved surface and comprises a support surface for resting on the wash basin in the area of a drain of the wash basin, the support surface at least partially freeing the drain of the wash basin for water to pass through, wherein the drainage screen is designed such that the curved surface of the drainage screen is curved towards the support surface of the drainage screen and that the curved surface of the drainage screen is at a predetermined distance greater than zero from the support surface of the drainage screen.
- the curved surface has at least one edge which, at at least one point, is at a distance greater than zero from an edge of the support surface.
- the curved surface of the drain sieve can also have several edges, each of which has a predetermined distance greater than zero from the support surface of the drain sieve.
- the drain sieve is intended for use in a wash basin, in particular in a drain of a wash basin, and is used there to catch foreign bodies of a predetermined minimum size. It also has a curved surface.
- the drain strainer can be inserted into the wash basin, in particular into the drain of the wash basin and used as intended or inserted in an intended installation state, that the curved surface of the drain strainer is at least partially, in particular completely, arranged in the drain of the wash basin and upwards into the wash basin and thus points to the user of the sink.
- the curve points outwards, towards the user. Therefore it can also be called convex.
- the curved surface points away from a main flow direction and thus away from the drain, in particular from a drain piping connected to the drain of the washbasin, and towards the user, the curved surface and the support surface facing each other.
- the curved surface of the drainage strainer is curved towards the user and the support surface of the drainage strainer and is thus convexly curved.
- the curved surface at least partially covers the free cross section of the drain.
- the drain sieve therefore comprises a support surface for resting on the wash basin in the area of the drain of the wash basin. This is used to insert the drain filter into the wash basin and to support the drain filter on the wash basin.
- the support surface has an opening for the passage of water, which at least partially releases the drain.
- the support surface is annular. It thus has the opening in the center of the ring for the passage of water, through which the drainage of the wash basin is at least partially released.
- the drainage sieve lies with its contact surface on the wash basin, in particular at the bottom of the sink and around a drain opening of the sink. The contact surface and wash basin are in contact with each other.
- the opening for the passage of water is arranged above the drain in such a way that it is at least partially released through the opening.
- the support surface is thus turned away from a user of the wash basin who is looking towards the drain from above, whereas the curved surface of the drain sieve faces him. Therefore, this is also curved towards the support surface.
- Both the curved surface and the support surface are each delimited by at least one edge or by a plurality of edges.
- the at least one edge of the curved surface has at least one point a distance greater than zero from at least one edge of the support surface facing it.
- the at least one edge of the curved surface has at least one point a distance greater than zero from the at least one edge of the annular support surface which delimits the opening for the passage of water of the support surface. This could also be referred to as the inner edge, the one opposite it as the outer edge.
- the distance between the curved surface of the drainage screen and the supporting surface greater than zero is measured in the vertical direction in the specified installation position.
- the projection of the curved surface in a projection plane parallel to the support surface lies completely within the projection of the support surface in the same projection plane.
- the support surface spans a plane or it is even designed to be essentially flat.
- one direction of flow is perpendicular to the plane of the support surface. In an installed state, the direction of flow runs perpendicular to the earth's surface and thus in the direction of the effect of gravity. In this case, the support surface rests horizontally on the wash basin. The projection thus takes place vertically in a horizontal projection plane.
- the projection of the opening for the passage of water of the support surface can be the same as Curved surface projection.
- the projection of the at least one edge of the curved surface thus coincides with the projection of the edge of the support surface, through which the opening for the passage of water of the support surface is delimited.
- Their distances in the horizontal direction are zero or, in other words, the edge of the curved surface and an edge of the annular bearing surface are designed to be aligned.
- the edges are spaced apart from one another in the vertical direction at at least one point.
- their projections into the projection plane can also be at a distance from one another. At this point, the edges are then spaced apart in the horizontal direction. Without a horizontal gap, the curved surface completely covers the free cross-section of the drain in the projection plane.
- the support surface can also at least partially cover the sequence in the projection direction.
- the diameter of the opening for the passage of water and the drain of the wash basin is smaller than the diameter of the drain, at least in the area of the drain opening of the wash basin.
- the drainage surface protrudes horizontally or protrudes into the projection of the free cross section of the drain. With a horizontal distance between the edges of the support surface and the curved surface of the drainage strainer, the free cross section of the drain is only partially covered by the curved surface. The distance, whether in the horizontal or vertical direction, between the edge of the curved surface and the especially inner edge of the support surface is dependent on the specified minimum size of the foreign bodies that are to be caught by the drainage sieve.
- the curved surface of the drain sieve is free of openings for the passage of water from the wash basin.
- the curved surface has, for example, a bore or a hole in the center in order to pass through fastening means. If the fastener is passed through the hole, it closes it essentially closes the bore and thus prevents significant passage of water through the bore. This is therefore not considered an opening for water to pass from the washbasin into the drain.
- the curved surface and the support surface are connected to one another, for example by means of spaced apart webs.
- the connection is such that it has at least one opening for the passage of water. If the webs run, for example, in the specified installation position of the drainage sieve in the vertical direction and if they have a distance greater than zero from one another in the horizontal direction, an opening for the passage of water is thus located between two webs.
- the opening for the passage of water can be limited downwards by the curved surface of the drainage screen, upwards by the support surface of the drainage screen and laterally by the webs.
- the edge of the curved surface is connected to the edges of the bearing surface facing the opening for the passage of water.
- the curved surface can thus be suspended by means of the webs, with it being suspended in particular at its edges.
- Water or other fluid emerges from the wash basin through the, for example circular, opening in the, for example ring-shaped, support surface and thus also through the drain opening of the wash basin. It flows vertically downwards in the specified installation position of the washbasin and the drainage strainer in the washbasin. It hits the upwardly curved surface of the drain sieve and is thereby deflected to the side. Then it can flow with a horizontal directional component through the vertically extending openings for the passage of water between the curved surface of the drain sieve and the support surface of the drain sieve into the drain of the wash basin.
- the water that hits the curved surface of the drainage sieve and is laterally deflected by the convex curvature becomes however, it is not diverted back into the wash basin or even to the user, but rather into the drain of the wash basin because the curved surface of the drain sieve is at least partially arranged in the drain of the wash basin. This applies in particular to water from a tap above the washbasin, which hits the drainage sieve from a greater drop height.
- the at least one opening for the passage of water between the support surface and the curved surface of the drainage screen can be dimensioned so that spherical foreign bodies with a diameter of at least 7 mm would be caught by the drainage screen.
- the dimensions of the at least one opening for the passage of water between the support surface and the curved surface or the vertical and horizontal distances between the support surface and the curved surface or the webs are to be designed accordingly.
- the distance between the edge of the curved surface of the drainage screen and the support surface of the drainage screen, in particular the edge of the support surface facing the opening for the passage of water, is at most 7 mm.
- An annular support surface has only one annular edge of the drainage sieve facing the opening for the passage of water. Like the opening itself, it has the inner diameter of the ring.
- the curved surface itself is circular, it also has only one circular edge. It has the outer diameter of the curved surface.
- the outer diameter of the curved surface can be larger, smaller or, as already stated above, equal to the inner diameter of the annular support surface or, in other words, the projection of the curved surface into a projection plane parallel to the support surface can be larger, smaller or equal to the area of the opening for the passage of water of the support surface.
- the overlap of the projection of the curved surface in a projection plane parallel to the support surface and the opening for the passage of water of the support surface is at least 90%, in particular 100%.
- the curved surface of the drainage strainer assumes the shape of part of a surface of an ellipsoid or part of a surface of a sphere. In the latter case, it is spherically curved and forms a spherical cap, for example.
- a wash basin according to the invention comprises in particular at least one drainage sieve according to the invention.
- the curved surface of the drain sieve is further developed at least partially, in particular completely in the drain of the wash basin and thus at least partially, in particular completely, below the drain opening of the wash basin in the installed state of the wash basin. Then there is no, in particular horizontally running, chord between two points on the inner surface of the wash basin that intersects a point on the curved surface of the drainage strainer.
- the outlet sieve is advantageously designed for the passage of water and is arranged in the outlet so that the upwardly convex curved surface of the outlet sieve, in particular the edges of the upwardly convex curved surface of the outlet sieve, have a predetermined distance greater than zero from the outlet in the horizontal direction. This must be sufficiently dimensioned so that a given amount of water can flow away in a given period of time solely through the force of gravity.
- the outlet strainer is designed in such a way that the curved surface takes up or covers at least 90% of the cross section of the drain of the wash basin.
- the curved surface of the drain strainer is inclined, the drain strainer being arranged in the wash basin in such a way that the slope of the curved surface of the drain strainer points away from a predetermined position of a user of the wash basin.
- the curved surface assumes, in particular, the shape of part of a surface of an ellipsoid.
- the convex shape of the surface does not relate to a spherical cap or to a rotationally symmetrical element. It is also possible to modify the shape so that not a spherical cap, i.e. a rotationally symmetrical body, is used, but only part of an ellipsoid. This part has a raised part that slopes down in all directions within the drain. This part is arranged so that the high flank faces the passenger. This ensures that the water hits the convex surface and splashes away from the passenger.
- a rail vehicle according to the invention comprises at least one wash basin according to the invention, in particular in a sanitary cell of the rail vehicle.
- the wash basin with the drainage strainer according to the invention is suitably designed for installation and for use in a rail vehicle.
- the rail vehicle comprises a fall water system.
- Water from a water outlet of a tap which is arranged in such a way that it is caught by the sink, therefore flows out with only a low water pressure.
- the sanitary cell is designed such that a water tap is arranged in the outlet direction of the water from the water tap so that the water from the tap hits the drainage strainer.
- a water outlet of the faucet is arranged vertically above the drainage sieve.
- the drainage sieve is designed to be convex. In particular, there are no holes in the outlet sieve - they are moved to the sides. The convex surface lies below the bottom of the wash basin, so that the water that splashes away from the side can flow into the openings around the impact surface.
- the sieve function is given further by the height of the lateral gaps, since the sieve should prevent objects such as cigarette butts from getting into the spout.
- a prior art sink is shown - in Fig. 1 in three-dimensional view, in Fig. 2 in an exploded view to illustrate the individual components and in Fig. 3 on average. It has a drain opening which is directly followed by the drain.
- the wash basin 1 has a drain opening at the lowest point of the wash basin 1 in its in-use or use position vertical opening axis.
- the drain opening is covered by a drain screen 2.
- the drain sieve 2 has a multiplicity of openings 8 for the passage of water, so that water can be discharged through the openings 8 in the drain sieve 2 through the drain opening of the wash basin.
- a drain here in the form of a drain pipe 9, is connected to the drain opening.
- the wash basin 1 illustrated here has a circumferential projection 10 on which the drain sieve 2 rests.
- the drain sieve 2 therefore comprises a support surface for resting on the projection 10 of the wash basin 1 in the area of the drain opening. This serves to insert the drainage sieve 2 into the wash basin and to support the drainage sieve 2 on the wash basin 10.
- the drainage opening of the wash basin 1 is delimited by the projection 10.
- a first seal 11, which is pretensioned against the wash basin 1 by means of an outlet depression 15, is arranged below the projection 10.
- the outlet depression 15 is in turn screwed to the drainage sieve 2 by means of a fastening screw 14 and pretensioned against one another.
- the fastening screw 14 coincides here with the vertical opening axis of the drain opening.
- the nut 13 comprises a collar of the drain pipe 9 and has an internal thread which is screwed onto an external thread of the drain sink 15.
- the drain sieve 2 here has a closed spherical cap.
- the spherical cap 16 is free of openings for the passage of water.
- the drain sieve 2 is divided into two parts. It comprises the already presented spherical cap 16 and a lower part 17 which rests with the projection of the wash basin 1 and onto which the spherical cap 16 is placed.
- the lower part has a support surface 4 and webs 6.
- the supporting surface 4 is used to support the drain sieve 2 on the projection of the wash basin 1 in the area of the drain opening.
- the support surface 4 is annular with a central opening for the passage of water.
- a single web (not shown) is provided bridging the central opening, which in turn has an opening for the passage of a fastening screw 14.
- the webs 6 connect the bearing surface 4 to the spherical cap 16, which is placed on the webs 6 or on a ring (not shown) that connects the webs 6.
- the fastening screw 14 with the spherical cap 16 removed can be screwed in the same way as in the previous embodiment. After assembly, the spherical cap 16 can be put on. The passage of water through the drainage opening is ensured by the distance between the outer edge of the spherical cap 16 and the wash basin 1, which distance is predetermined by the length of the webs 6.
- FIGS 6 and 7 now show a drain sieve 2 according to the invention for a wash basin for collecting foreign bodies of a predetermined minimum size with a curved surface 3.
- the drain sieve 2 has a support surface 4 for resting on the wash basin in the area of a drain of the wash basin, the support surface 4 the drain of the wash basin is at least partially free for the passage of water.
- this is achieved in that the drain sieve 2 is designed in such a way that the curved surface 3 has an edge 5 which is at a predetermined distance greater than zero from the support surface 4 of the drain sieve 2.
- webs 6 are provided on the edge 5, via which the curved surface 3 is connected to the support surface 4.
- the curved surface 3 of the drain sieve 2 is curved from the edge 5 and towards the support surface 4 of the drain sieve 2.
- it is designed in the shape of a ring with an inner edge 7 which delimits a central opening for the passage of water.
- the edge 5 of the curved surface 3 and the inner edge 7 of the annular bearing surface 4 are aligned with one another arranged.
- the lengths of the webs 6, which are uniform here, determine the distance from the support surface 4 of the drainage sieve.
- the webs 6 are arranged evenly distributed over the circumference of the curved surface 3. Between the webs 6, water can drain into the drain of the sink.
- the drain screen 2 is designed in such a way that the curved surface 3 of the drain screen 2 is convex towards the support surface 4 of the drain screen 2.
- the convexly curved surface 3 is free of openings or holes for the passage of liquid from the wash basin. It only has a central bore 18 for the implementation of a fastening screw. Otherwise it has the shape of a spherical cap.
- Fig. 8 and 9 show the drain sieve 2 Figures 6 and 7 in an installation position in the wash basin 1.
- the wash basin 1 has a drain opening at the lowest point of the wash basin 1 with a vertical opening axis in its in-use or use position.
- the drainage sieve 2 is inserted into the drainage opening.
- the wash basin 1 illustrated here has a circumferential projection 10 in the area of the drain opening, which adjoins an inner surface of the wash basin 1 on which the drain sieve 2 rests with its annular support surface 4. The circumferential projection 10 limits the drain opening and the bottom of the sink at the lowest point.
- the curved surface 3 of the drain sieve 2 is convexly curved towards the support surface 4 and is introduced into the drain of the wash basin 1. It arches outwards or upwards towards the user of the washbasin 1 and thus into the washbasin 1.
- Fig. 8 the course of water from a faucet arranged above the washbasin 1 is sketched schematically.
- the water passes through the central opening of the drain sieve, which is delimited by the annular bearing surface 4 and thus also through the drainage opening of the washbasin 1 and meets the curved surface 3 of the drainage sieve 2.
- the water is deflected laterally towards the drainage depression 15 and not in the direction of the user.
- the water then flows through the openings between the webs 6 of the drainage sieve and between an inner surface of the drainage depression 15 and the edge 5 of the curved surface 3 of the drainage sieve 2 downwards in the direction of the drainage pipe 9.
- the deflection and drainage of the water through the openings between the webs 6 of the drainage sieve 2 can in principle take place radially in all directions in the plane perpendicular to the opening axis of the drainage opening. How the process actually takes place depends on the point at which the water hits the curved surface.
- the assembly of the drain sieve 2 with the wash basin and the drain pipe 9 is identical to the prior art.
- the drainage sieve 2 is inserted into the drainage opening 19 of the wash basin 1.
- the drainage depression 15 is screwed to the drainage sieve 2 by means of the fastening screw 14 and the two components are pretensioned against one another with the interposition of the seal 11.
- the fastening screw 14 coincides here with the vertical opening axis of the drain opening.
- a further seal 12, which is pretensioned by means of the nut 13, is provided between the outlet pipe 9 and the outlet depression 15.
- the nut 13 comprises a collar of the drain pipe 9 and has an internal thread which is screwed onto an external thread of the outlet depression 15.
- the drainage sink 15 as part of the drain connects below the bottom of the washbasin 1 to the bottom of the washbasin.
- the drain pipe 9, for its part, adjoins the outlet depression 15.
- FIGS 11-14 illustrate a further embodiment of a drain sieve according to the invention in different views.
- the curved surface 3 of the drainage sieve 2 no longer has a through-hole for the passage of a fastening screw 14. It is free of openings or holes. Instead, a blind hole 18 is provided.
- the support surface 4 at least partially releases the drain of the wash basin for water to pass through from the wash basin.
- the support surface 4 as known from the above embodiments, has an opening for the passage of water.
- the support surface 4 is used to rest on the wash basin 1, at least partially freeing the drain for water to pass through. It runs in a ring around the drain under the system on the washbasin 1.
- the curved surface 3 is inclined on one side and no longer slopes radially from a center point in the direction of its edge 5 in the form of a spherical cap.
- the curved surface 3 runs partially above the support surface 4. Its edge runs at least at one point in alignment with the top of the support ring, its underside the support surface 4 forms. The curved surface 3 drops off there.
- the upwardly convex, curved surface 3 of the outlet sieve 2 and the support surface 4 are connected to one another, here again by means of webs 6, that the free edge 5 of the upwardly convex, curved surface 3 of the outlet sieve 2 and the support surface 4 merge has a predetermined distance and does not fall below this, wherein between the upwardly convex surface 3, in particular its free edge 5, and the support surface 4 openings for the passage of water, here again between the webs 6, are formed, which these to the opening for the passage of Delimit water.
- the majority of the curved surface 3 is again arranged in the drain of the wash basin 1 below the drain opening.
- the drain sieve 2 is arranged in the wash basin in such a way that the inclination of the curved surface 3 of the drain sieve 3 points away from a predetermined position of a user of the wash basin 1, so that water hitting the curved surface is deflected away from the user, as in FIG Fig. 13 indicated with arrows.
- the water passes through the central opening of the drain sieve 2, which is delimited by the annular support surface 4, and thus also through the drain opening of the wash basin 1 and meets the curved surface 3 of the drain sieve 2 User distracted on one side in front of the sink.
- the water then flows through the openings between the webs 6 of the drainage sieve 2 and between an inner surface of the drainage depression 15 and the edge 5 of the curved surface 3 of the drainage sieve 2 downwards in the direction of the drainage pipe 9.
- the deflection and the drainage of the water through the openings between the webs 6 of the drainage sieve 2 can in principle only take place in the directions of the inclinations of the curved surface 3 in the plane perpendicular to the opening axis of the drain opening. How the process actually takes place depends on the point at which the water hits the curved surface.
Description
The invention relates to a drainage sieve for a wash basin for collecting foreign bodies of a predetermined minimum size with a convexly curved surface, as well as a wash basin with a drainage sieve according to the invention.
Wash basins with a basin that is open at the top in an installed state and a drain opening at its deepest point, to which a drain, for example in the form of a drain pipe, is connected, are widely known. They are also used in the sanitary cells of rail vehicles. In the usual installation state of the wash basin, the drain has an opening with a mostly vertical opening axis. When raised, they allow water to drain out of the sink through a gap between their underside and the sink. Since the gap also has predetermined dimensions and serves to hold back larger foreign bodies, an open drain plug also functions as a drain sieve. The process can also be referred to as a discharge.
If the user is not holding his hands in the water jet, the water that emerges from a faucet arranged above the sink can fall onto the concave surface of the sink or onto a centrally arranged drain sieve or onto a drain plug.
A convex surface lets the water splash away to the side. The wash basin is concave. In the area of rail vehicles, an attempt is made to position the point of impact of the water jet in the middle of the convex-shaped outlet sieve by arranging the faucet to the wash basin in order to reduce splashing. This outlet strainer consists of a convex surface that is provided with holes so that the water can drain through the holes. The holes in the outlet sieve are the cause of the splash.
In rail vehicles, the hand washing water is often provided via a fall water system. Depending on the fill level of the tank, the water escapes to different degrees. This often changes the point of impact in the wash basin, which again leads to splashing, since the ideal point of impact in the middle of the wash basin is missed.
Further solutions in rail vehicles work with a closed, convex surface without holes - in the manner of an unsealed or unsealed drainage seal that has already been described above. This spherical cap is screwed onto an attachment with a thread. The surface is raised in the sink so that the water can drain under the edge of the attachment.
Both solutions ensure that the water that splashes away to the side hits the sink surface before it can drain away.

A drain sieve according to the invention for a wash basin for collecting foreign bodies of a predetermined minimum size has a curved surface and comprises a support surface for resting on the wash basin in the area of a drain of the wash basin, the support surface at least partially freeing the drain of the wash basin for water to pass through, wherein the drainage screen is designed such that the curved surface of the drainage screen is curved towards the support surface of the drainage screen and that the curved surface of the drainage screen is at a predetermined distance greater than zero from the support surface of the drainage screen. The curved surface has at least one edge which, at at least one point, is at a distance greater than zero from an edge of the support surface. The curved surface of the drain sieve can also have several edges, each of which has a predetermined distance greater than zero from the support surface of the drain sieve.
The drain sieve is intended for use in a wash basin, in particular in a drain of a wash basin, and is used there to catch foreign bodies of a predetermined minimum size. It also has a curved surface. The drain strainer can be inserted into the wash basin, in particular into the drain of the wash basin and used as intended or inserted in an intended installation state, that the curved surface of the drain strainer is at least partially, in particular completely, arranged in the drain of the wash basin and upwards into the wash basin and thus points to the user of the sink. The curve points outwards, towards the user. Therefore it can also be called convex.
In the specified installation position, the curved surface points away from a main flow direction and thus away from the drain, in particular from a drain piping connected to the drain of the washbasin, and towards the user, the curved surface and the support surface facing each other. In the specified installation position, the curved surface of the drainage strainer is curved towards the user and the support surface of the drainage strainer and is thus convexly curved.
The curved surface at least partially covers the free cross section of the drain. The drain sieve therefore comprises a support surface for resting on the wash basin in the area of the drain of the wash basin. This is used to insert the drain filter into the wash basin and to support the drain filter on the wash basin.
In the area of the drain, the support surface has an opening for the passage of water, which at least partially releases the drain. The support surface is annular. It thus has the opening in the center of the ring for the passage of water, through which the drainage of the wash basin is at least partially released. The drainage sieve lies with its contact surface on the wash basin, in particular at the bottom of the sink and around a drain opening of the sink. The contact surface and wash basin are in contact with each other. The opening for the passage of water is arranged above the drain in such a way that it is at least partially released through the opening. The support surface is thus turned away from a user of the wash basin who is looking towards the drain from above, whereas the curved surface of the drain sieve faces him. Therefore, this is also curved towards the support surface.
Both the curved surface and the support surface are each delimited by at least one edge or by a plurality of edges. The at least one edge of the curved surface has at least one point a distance greater than zero from at least one edge of the support surface facing it. The at least one edge of the curved surface has at least one point a distance greater than zero from the at least one edge of the annular support surface which delimits the opening for the passage of water of the support surface. This could also be referred to as the inner edge, the one opposite it as the outer edge. The distance between the curved surface of the drainage screen and the supporting surface greater than zero is measured in the vertical direction in the specified installation position.
In one embodiment, the projection of the curved surface in a projection plane parallel to the support surface lies completely within the projection of the support surface in the same projection plane. The support surface spans a plane or it is even designed to be essentially flat. For example, one direction of flow is perpendicular to the plane of the support surface. In an installed state, the direction of flow runs perpendicular to the earth's surface and thus in the direction of the effect of gravity. In this case, the support surface rests horizontally on the wash basin. The projection thus takes place vertically in a horizontal projection plane. The projection of the opening for the passage of water of the support surface can be the same as Curved surface projection. The projection of the at least one edge of the curved surface thus coincides with the projection of the edge of the support surface, through which the opening for the passage of water of the support surface is delimited. Their distances in the horizontal direction are zero or, in other words, the edge of the curved surface and an edge of the annular bearing surface are designed to be aligned. In this case, however, the edges are spaced apart from one another in the vertical direction at at least one point. However, their projections into the projection plane can also be at a distance from one another. At this point, the edges are then spaced apart in the horizontal direction. Without a horizontal gap, the curved surface completely covers the free cross-section of the drain in the projection plane. The support surface can also at least partially cover the sequence in the projection direction. If the opening for the passage of water and the drain of the wash basin are both circular, the diameter of the opening for the passage of water is smaller than the diameter of the drain, at least in the area of the drain opening of the wash basin. The drainage surface protrudes horizontally or protrudes into the projection of the free cross section of the drain.
According to a further development of the drain sieve according to the invention, the curved surface of the drain sieve is free of openings for the passage of water from the wash basin. The curved surface has, for example, a bore or a hole in the center in order to pass through fastening means. If the fastener is passed through the hole, it closes it essentially closes the bore and thus prevents significant passage of water through the bore. This is therefore not considered an opening for water to pass from the washbasin into the drain.
According to the invention it is provided that the curved surface and the support surface are connected to one another, for example by means of spaced apart webs. The connection is such that it has at least one opening for the passage of water. If the webs run, for example, in the specified installation position of the drainage sieve in the vertical direction and if they have a distance greater than zero from one another in the horizontal direction, an opening for the passage of water is thus located between two webs. The opening for the passage of water can be limited downwards by the curved surface of the drainage screen, upwards by the support surface of the drainage screen and laterally by the webs. In particular, the edge of the curved surface is connected to the edges of the bearing surface facing the opening for the passage of water. The curved surface can thus be suspended by means of the webs, with it being suspended in particular at its edges.
Water or other fluid emerges from the wash basin through the, for example circular, opening in the, for example ring-shaped, support surface and thus also through the drain opening of the wash basin.
The water that hits the curved surface of the drainage sieve and is laterally deflected by the convex curvature becomes however, it is not diverted back into the wash basin or even to the user, but rather into the drain of the wash basin because the curved surface of the drain sieve is at least partially arranged in the drain of the wash basin. This applies in particular to water from a tap above the washbasin, which hits the drainage sieve from a greater drop height.
The at least one opening for the passage of water between the support surface and the curved surface of the drainage screen, for example between the webs, can be dimensioned so that spherical foreign bodies with a diameter of at least 7 mm would be caught by the drainage screen. The dimensions of the at least one opening for the passage of water between the support surface and the curved surface or the vertical and horizontal distances between the support surface and the curved surface or the webs are to be designed accordingly.
In particular, the distance between the edge of the curved surface of the drainage screen and the support surface of the drainage screen, in particular the edge of the support surface facing the opening for the passage of water, is at most 7 mm. An annular support surface has only one annular edge of the drainage sieve facing the opening for the passage of water. Like the opening itself, it has the inner diameter of the ring.
If the curved surface itself is circular, it also has only one circular edge. It has the outer diameter of the curved surface.
The outer diameter of the curved surface can be larger, smaller or, as already stated above, equal to the inner diameter of the annular support surface or, in other words, the projection of the curved surface into a projection plane parallel to the support surface can be larger, smaller or equal to the area of the opening for the passage of water of the support surface.
According to a further development of the invention, the overlap of the projection of the curved surface in a projection plane parallel to the support surface and the opening for the passage of water of the support surface is at least 90%, in particular 100%.
In a further development, the curved surface of the drainage strainer assumes the shape of part of a surface of an ellipsoid or part of a surface of a sphere. In the latter case, it is spherically curved and forms a spherical cap, for example.
Ein erfindungsgemäßes Waschbecken umfasst insbesondere wenigstens ein erfindungsgemäßes Ablaufsieb.A wash basin according to the invention comprises in particular at least one drainage sieve according to the invention.
The curved surface of the drain sieve is further developed at least partially, in particular completely in the drain of the wash basin and thus at least partially, in particular completely, below the drain opening of the wash basin in the installed state of the wash basin. Then there is no, in particular horizontally running, chord between two points on the inner surface of the wash basin that intersects a point on the curved surface of the drainage strainer.
The outlet sieve is advantageously designed for the passage of water and is arranged in the outlet so that the upwardly convex curved surface of the outlet sieve, in particular the edges of the upwardly convex curved surface of the outlet sieve, have a predetermined distance greater than zero from the outlet in the horizontal direction. This must be sufficiently dimensioned so that a given amount of water can flow away in a given period of time solely through the force of gravity.
In a further development, the outlet strainer is designed in such a way that the curved surface takes up or covers at least 90% of the cross section of the drain of the wash basin.
In a further development, the curved surface of the drain strainer is inclined, the drain strainer being arranged in the wash basin in such a way that the slope of the curved surface of the drain strainer points away from a predetermined position of a user of the wash basin. Here, the curved surface assumes, in particular, the shape of part of a surface of an ellipsoid.
In this embodiment, the convex shape of the surface does not relate to a spherical cap or to a rotationally symmetrical element. A rail vehicle according to the invention comprises at least one wash basin according to the invention, in particular in a sanitary cell of the rail vehicle. The wash basin with the drainage strainer according to the invention is suitably designed for installation and for use in a rail vehicle.
According to a further development of the rail vehicle according to the invention, it comprises a fall water system. Water from a water outlet of a tap, which is arranged in such a way that it is caught by the sink, therefore flows out with only a low water pressure.
According to a further development, the sanitary cell is designed such that a water tap is arranged in the outlet direction of the water from the water tap so that the water from the tap hits the drainage strainer. In particular, a water outlet of the faucet is arranged vertically above the drainage sieve.
The drainage sieve is designed to be convex. In particular, there are no holes in the outlet sieve - they are moved to the sides. The convex surface lies below the bottom of the wash basin, so that the water that splashes away from the side can flow into the openings around the impact surface. The sieve function is given further by the height of the lateral gaps, since the sieve should prevent objects such as cigarette butts from getting into the spout.

A drain, here in the form of a

The
The
The

Here, too, the
Das Ablaufrohr 9 schließt sich seinerseits an die Auslaufsenke 15 an.The drainage sink 15 as part of the drain connects below the bottom of the
The
Another essential difference to the aforementioned embodiments is that the
Nevertheless, the upwardly convex,
The water passes through the central opening of the
