Da erfindungsgemäß die Ausrichtung des Kantenprofils 2 bzw. 2' zur Schmalfläche 3a bzw. 3a' insbesondere ausschließlich unter Berücksichtigung des Verlaufs der jeweiligen Markierung 10 bzw. 10' vorgenommen wird, kann es vorkommen, dass die Außenkanten des Kantenprofils 2 bzw. 2', wenn das Kantenprofil 2 bzw. 2' auf die jeweilige Schmalfläche 3a bzw. 3a' aufgeklebt ist, unterschiedlich weit gegenüber der Seite 3b oder Unterseite 3c der Holzwerkstoffplatte 3 hervorstehen. In diesem Fall werden dann die überstehenden Randbereiche des aufgeklebten Kantenprofils 2 bzw. 2' abgetrennt, wodurch die Breite B des Kantenprofils 2 bwz. 2' an die Breite b der Schmalseite 3a bzw. 3a' angepasst werden kann. Fig. 1 zeigt beispielhaft den Fall, dass die Breite B des Kantenprofils 2 bzw. 2' größer ist als die Breite b der zugehörigen Schmalseite 3a bzw. 3a'. Claims (9)

  1. Device (1) for affixing an edge profile (2,2') to a narrow face (3a, 3a') of a plate-like material (3), in particular an edge gluing device (1),
    - having a plate carrier (4) for receiving a plate-like material (3), wherein the plate carrier (4) has a plate carrier upper side (4a) which extends in a plane (E1),
    - having an edge profile supply device (5) for supplying an edge profile (2, 2') and
    - having an edge profile guide (6) for guiding the edge profile (2,2') on which or by which the edge profile (2, 2') which can be supplied by the edge profile supply device (5) can be guided along,
    - wherein the edge profile guide (6) as guide means (7, 7') has an upper guide portion (7) and a lower guide portion (7'), respectively, between which the edge profile (2, 2') which can be supplied by the edge profile supply device (5) can be guided along, wherein the upper guide portion (7) and the lower guide portion (7') can be moved relative to the plate carrier (4) in a direction (X1) which extends at an angle to the plane (E1) in which the plate carrier upper side (4a) extends,
    characterised
    - in that a control device (8) is provided which controls the position of each guide means (7, 7'), in particular the upper guide portion (7) and the lower guide portion (7'),
    - in that the device (1) has at least one sensor (9), in particular at least one optical sensor (9), which is connected to the control device (8), and
    - in that the control device (8) is constructed in such a manner that it controls the position of each guide means (7, 7') in dependence of sensor data transmitted by the respective sensor (9), in particular controls in such a manner that the extent of a marking (10,10') provided over the length (L) of the edge profile (2, 2') is oriented parallel to the plane (E1) in which the plate carrier upper side (4a) extends or parallel to the plane (E2) in which the upper side (3b) of the plate-like material (3) extends.
  2. Device (1) according to claim 1,
    characterised in that the upper guide portion (7) can be moved relative to the lower guide portion (7') in a direction (X1) which extends at an angle to the plane (E1) in which the plate carrier upper side (4a) extends.
  3. Device (1) according to any one of the preceding claims,
    characterised in that the direction (X1) in which the respective guide means (7, 7') can be moved extends perpendicularly to the plate carrier upper side (4a).
  4. Device (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 3,
    characterised in that the control device (8) is constructed in such a manner that it controls the position of the respective guide means (7, 7') automatically, and in particular continuously or at regular intervals.
  5. Method for affixing an edge profile (2, 2') to a narrow face (3a, 3a') of a plate-like material (3), in particular using a device (1) according to any one of the preceding claims,
    - in which a plate-like material (3) is provided, which has at least one narrow face (3a, 3a') as well as an upper side (3b) and a lower side (3c),
    - in which an edge profile (2, 2') is supplied to the narrow face (3a, 3a') and is applied thereto, and
    - in which the edge profile (2, 2') is guided in an edge profile guide (6) on which or by which the edge profile (2, 2') which is supplied can be guided along before and/or while it is being brought into contact with the narrow face (3a, 3a'),
    - wherein the edge profile guide (6), as a guide means (7, 7'), has an upper guide portion (7) and a lower guide portion (7'), between which the edge profile supplied by an edge profile supply device (5) is guided along, wherein the upper guide portion (7) and the lower guide portion (7') are moved relative to the upper side (3b) of the plate-like material (3) in a direction (X2) which extends parallel to the plane (E3) in which the upper and lower edges of the narrow face (3a, 3a') extend,
    characterised
    - in that the position of each guide means (7, 7'), in particular the upper guide portion (7) and the lower guide portion (7'), is controlled,
    - in that the position of each guide means (7, 7') is controlled in dependence of sensor data transmitted by a sensor (9) and
    - in that the position of each guide means (7, 7') is controlled in such a manner that the extent of a marking (10, 10') which is provided over the length (L) of the edge profile (2, 2') is oriented parallel to the plane (E2) in which the upper side (3b) of the plate-like material (3) extends.
  6. Method according to claim 5,
    characterised in that the upper guide portion (7) is moved relative to the lower guide portion (7') in a direction (X2) which extends parallel to the plane (E3) in which the upper and lower edges of the narrow face (3a, 3a') extend.
  7. Method according to Claim 5 or 6,
    characterised in that
    the marking (10,10') is an optical and/or haptic marking (10,10') and in particular is a portion of a decoration, wherein the marking (10, 10') is preferably at least one line which extends over the length (L) of the edge profile (2, 2').
  8. Method according to any one of claims 5 to 7,
    characterised in that the position of the respective guide means (7, 7') is controlled automatically, and in particular continuously or at regular intervals.
  9. Method according to any one of claims 5 to 8,
    characterised in that, after the application, the width (B) of the edge profile (2, 2') is adapted to the width (b) of the narrow side (3a, 3a') of the plate-like material (3).
