Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a laundry care device with a fluid coupling.
  • Conventional laundry care devices may include a removable storage container to hold liquid, e.g. liquid laundry care substances or water.
  • the removable reservoir can be fluidly connected to a metering device, among other things.
  • the metering device can be inserted into a storage container of the laundry care device and is designed to supply the liquid taken up to the laundry care device during a washing process.
  • it is important to recognize in time a low filling level of the liquid in the removable storage container. If the user of the household appliance is promptly informed by the laundry care device of the low filling level of the liquid in the removable storage container, he can refill liquid in the removable storage container. This avoids that the liquid in the removable storage container is completely used up and the removable storage container runs dry.
  • the disclosure DE 10 2014 220 354 A1 shows a household appliance with a removable reservoir.
  • the object is achieved by a laundry care device with a removable storage container, the removable storage container having a container interior for holding a liquid, the removable storage container comprising a displaceable closing body for closing an opening in the removable storage container, and with a liquid coupling for supplying the liquid from the removable storage container through the opening into a metering device of the laundry care device, the liquid coupling being designed to move the displaceable closing body from a first position to close the opening into a second position to release the opening, the liquid coupling being a first Has electrode and a second electrode, wherein the first and second electrodes in the second position of the sliding closing body with the container interior in contact ehen, wherein a voltage can be applied to the first and second electrodes in the second position of the displaceable closing body, and wherein the laundry care device has a control which is electrically connected and designed with the first and second electrodes, based on a change in the voltage induced Current flow to detect a level of the liquid in the removable reservoir.
  • the laundry care device has a dosing device into which a liquid, such as laundry care substance, is accommodated.
  • the metering device is designed to supply the laundry care substance to the laundry care device from a removable storage container which is fluidly connected to the metering device.
  • a liquid coupling is used in conventional laundry care devices, which effectively connects the removable storage container to the metering device in terms of fluid technology in order to enable the liquid to be fed from the removable storage container into the metering device.
  • the liquid coupling not only enables an effective fluid-technical connection between the removable storage container and the dosing device, but also an effective electrical communication between the dosing device and the removable storage container.
  • the fluid coupling When the fluid coupling is fluidly connected to the removable storage container, the fluid coupling moves the displaceable closing body from the first position to close the opening into the second position to release the opening.
  • the liquid can be fed through the liquid coupling from the removable storage container to the metering device.
  • the two electrodes are in contact with the container interior, in particular with the liquid in the container interior.
  • a voltage can be applied to the two electrodes in the second position of the displaceable closing body. If the two electrodes are in contact with liquid in the interior of the container, the voltage applied to the electrodes enables a current to flow between the two electrodes due to the electrically conductive property of the liquid. Since the two electrodes of the fluid coupling fluidically connected to the removable storage container are arranged at a defined height on the removable storage container, the controller can detect when the current flows through the liquid that the level of the liquid in the removable storage container is arranged above the electrodes. On the other hand, if the flow of current through the liquid drops, the control can also detect that the fill level of the liquid in the removable storage container drops below the height of the two electrodes, whereby a falling fill level of the liquid in the removable storage container can be detected.
  • the liquid coupling thus combines an effective fluid-technical connection between the removable storage container and the metering device with an advantageous fill level detection of the liquid in the removable storage container. This can save an additional electrical system for detecting the level of the liquid in the removable storage container.
  • the introduction of live components on the removable Storage containers can be dispensed with, which means that there is no need for electrical isolation and costs can be saved.
  • a laundry care device is understood to be a device which is used for laundry care, such as a washer or dryer. Such a laundry care device is understood in particular to mean a household laundry care device. So a laundry care device, which is used in the context of housekeeping, and with which laundry is treated in normal household quantities.
  • control is designed to detect an empty state of the liquid in the removable storage container when the current flow induced by the voltage drops.
  • the controller can use the detection of the falling current flow to determine whether the liquid in the removable storage container is empty. If the fill level of the liquid in the removable storage container is below one of the two electrodes in the liquid coupling, the electrode is no longer in contact with liquid but with air in the interior of the container. Due to the electrically insulating properties of the air in the container interior, no current flow can take place between the two electrodes, and the current flow between the two electrodes induced by the voltage drops. As a result, the control system can detect an empty state of the liquid in the removable storage container.
  • the second electrode is arranged at the opening in the second position of the displaceable closing body in order to be in contact with the interior of the container in the second position of the displaceable closing body.
  • the positioning of the second electrode at the opening in the removable storage container ensures that when liquid is supplied from the removable storage container through the opening and through the liquid coupling to the metering device, the second electrode with the liquid in Contact is there.
  • the second electrode is at one with the Removable reservoir fluid fluidly connected fluid coupling in contact with the liquid and the controller can detect a level of the liquid in the removable reservoir based on a change in the current flow induced by the voltage.
  • the first electrode is arranged on an outside or on an upper side of the fluid coupling in order to be in contact with the interior of the container in the second position of the displaceable closing body.
  • the removable storage container has a further opening, the further opening being closable by the displaceable closing body in the first position and releasable in the second position, and the first electrode being in the second position at the further opening is arranged.
  • the positioning of the first electrode at the further opening of the removable storage container ensures that the first electrode is in effective contact with the container interior in the second position of the displaceable closing body.
  • the control can detect the fill level of the liquid in the removable storage container by changing the current flow through the first and second electrodes.
  • the first electrode has a receiving area which is received in the liquid coupling, and the first electrode has a line section, the line section being arranged at the further opening in the second position of the displaceable closing body.
  • the first electrode can be attached to the fluid coupling by means of the receiving area.
  • the first electrode is positioned at the further opening, only the line section of the first electrode is arranged in the second position of the displaceable closing body at the further opening, as a result of which the entire first electrode does not come into contact with the container interior or the liquid in the container interior stands.
  • the liquid coupling has a liquid channel, the liquid channel having a channel opening at an end facing the removable storage container, the channel opening being in fluidic contact with the opening of the removable storage container in the second position of the displaceable closing body Feed liquid from the removable storage container through the opening, through the channel opening and through the liquid channel to the metering device of the laundry care device.
  • the fluid channel of the fluid coupling enables the fluid to be efficiently conducted from the removable storage container through the opening and through the channel opening into the fluid channel, and that the fluid can be effectively supplied to the metering device of the laundry care device through the fluid channel ,
  • the second electrode is arranged at least in sections on the liquid channel in order to be in contact with liquid passed through the liquid channel.
  • the second electrode is in contact with liquid through the second electrode arranged at least in sections on the liquid channel when the liquid is conducted through the liquid channel.
