Claims (9)

  1. A method for preparing rod-like smoking products, preferably on a drum machine of the tobacco-processing industry or a filter assembler machine (F), wherein rod-like articles of the tobacco-processing industry will be or are arranged in receiving troughs of rotating conveyor drums (12, 14, 22, 24, 26, 28, 32, 34) of a conveying arrangement for conveying rod-like articles transversely axially behind one another and are conveyed by the rotation of the conveyor drums (12, 14, 22, 24, 26, 32, 34) in the transverse axial direction and wherein the rod-like articles are transferred in the respective transfer region between two conveyor drums by in each case a conveyor drum dispensing articles to a conveyor drum receiving articles, wherein the conveyor arrangement has a first conveying section (A1) with a first cutting drum (14) and a first cutting device (16) arranged on the first cutting drum (14) for cutting rod-like articles and a second conveying section (A2) with a second cutting drum (28) and a second cutting device (30) arranged on the second cutting drum (28) for cutting rod-like articles, wherein rod-like articles (100) of multiple ready-for-use length are each cut into rod-shaped article rods (111, 112, 113) on the first cutting drum (14) of the first conveying section (A1) and the rod-like article rods (111, 112, 113) are subsequently each cut into article rod pieces (111.A, 111.B; 112.A, 112.B; 113.A, 113.B) on the second cutting drum (28) of the second conveying section (A2), wherein a feeding device (Z) for feeding smoking article components to the rod-like articles conveyed on the conveyor drums is provided with respect to the transverse axial conveying direction of the rod-like articles after the first cutting drum (14) of the first conveying section (A1) and the second cutting drum (28) of the second conveying section (A2), wherein in the first conveying section (A1) the rod-like articles are conveyed on the first cutting drum (14) with a first predetermined pitch between the receiving troughs of the first cutting drum (14) and wherein, in the second conveying section (A2), the rod-like articles are conveyed on the second cutting drum (28) with a second predetermined pitch between the receiving troughs of the second cutting drum (28), characterized in that the first predetermined pitch of the first cutting drum (14) of the first conveying section (A1) is equal to or greater than the second predetermined pitch of the second cutting drum (28) of the second conveying section (A2).
  2. The method according to Claim 1, characterized in that the first conveying section (A1) has a further conveyor drum (12) or multiple conveyor drums, wherein the pitch of the receiving troughs of the further conveyor drum (14) or the pitches of the receiving troughs of the conveyor drums of the first conveying section (A1) correspond to the first pitch of the first cutting drum (14) of the first conveying section (A1).
  3. The method according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the second conveying section (A2) has a further conveyor drum or multiple conveyor drums (22, 24, 26, 32, 34), wherein the pitch of the receiving troughs of the further conveyor drum or the pitches of the receiving troughs of the conveyor drums (22, 24, 26, 32, 34) of the second conveying section (A2) correspond to the second pitch of the second cutting drum (28) of the second conveying section (A2).
  4. The method according to any one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that, after the article rods (111, 112, 113) have each been cut into article rod pieces (111.A, 111.B; 112.A, 112.B; 113.A, 113.B) by the second cutting drum (28) of the second conveying section (A2), one or more rod-like smoking article components (120), in particular article segments or filter segments, are attached in the longitudinal axial direction of the article rod pieces (111.A, 111.B; 112.A, 112.B; 113.A, 113.B) to the respective article rod pieces (111.A, 111.B; 112.A, 112.B; 113.A, 113.B) by the feeding device (Z) on at least one assembling drum (34) so that rod-like smoking article groups (140), in particular of single or multiple length, are formed.
  5. The method according to Claim 4, characterized in that following the formation of rod-like smoking article groups (140) from article rod pieces and rod-like smoking article components, the rod-like smoking article groups (140) are in each case at least partially enveloped by at least one material web.
  6. The method according to Claim 4 or 5, characterized in that following the formation of rod-like smoking article groups (140) of multiple length, the rod-like smoking article groups (140) are each cut by means of a further cutting device.
  7. A conveyor arrangement of a drum machine of the tobacco-processing industry, in particular a filter assembler machine (F), for producing rod-like smoking products with multiple conveyor drums, wherein rod-like articles of the tobacco-processing industry will be or are arranged in receiving troughs of rotating conveyor drums (12, 14, 22, 24, 26, 28, 32, 34) transversely axially behind one another and are conveyed by the rotation of the conveyor drums (12, 14, 22, 24, 26, 28, 32, 34) in the transverse axial direction and wherein the rod-like articles are transferred in the respective transfer region between two conveyor drums by in each case a conveyor drum dispensing articles to a conveyor drum receiving articles, wherein the conveyor arrangement has a first conveying section (A1) with a first cutting drum (14) and a first cutting device (16) arranged on the first cutting drum (14) for cutting rod-like articles and a second conveying section (A2) with a second cutting drum (28) and a second cutting device (30) arranged on the second cutting drum (28) for cutting rod-like articles, wherein rod-like articles (100) of multiple ready-for-use length are each cut into rod-shaped article rods (111, 112, 113) on the first cutting drum (14) of the first conveying section (A1) and the rod-like article rods (111, 112, 113) are subsequently each cut into article rod pieces (111.A, 111.B; 112.A, 112.B; 113.A, 113.B) on the second cutting drum (28) of the second conveying section (A2), wherein a feeding device (Z) for feeding smoking article components to the rod-like articles conveyed on the conveyor drums is provided with respect to the transverse axial conveying direction of the rod-like articles after the first cutting drum (14) and the second cutting drum (28), wherein in the first conveying section (A1) the rod-like articles are or can be conveyed on the first cutting drum (14) with a first predetermined pitch between the receiving troughs of the first cutting drum (14) and wherein, in the second conveying section (A2), the rod-like articles are or can be conveyed on the second cutting drum (28) with a second predetermined pitch between the receiving troughs of the second cutting drum (28), characterized in that the first predetermined pitch of the first cutting drum (14) of the first conveying section (A1) is equal to or greater than the second predetermined pitch of the second cutting drum (28) of the second conveying section (A2).
  8. The conveyor arrangement according to Claim 7, characterized in that the conveyor arrangement will be or is operated according to a method according to Claim 1.
  9. A drum machine of the tobacco-processing industry, in particular a filter assembler machine (F), for preparing rod-like smoking products with a conveyor arrangement according to Claim 7 or 8.
