Description

Haushaltsgerät und Verfahren zum Betreiben eines  Household appliance and method for operating a
The present invention relates to a household appliance, in particular a Wäschetrock- ner, and a method for operating a household appliance, in particular for operating a clothes dryer or for monitoring a drying process of a clothes dryer.
There is a mistake in a household tumble drier that prematurely terminates a drying process, namely a so-called "condensate drop." A fully recognized condensate tank stops the drying process before it can be stopped by sensing the final moisture content desired by the user The desired final moisture content is not reached, which can lead to dissatisfaction with the dry result Further errors are only displayed after completion of the drying process, such as the lint screen etc., without the drying process being interrupted despite possible impairment.
According to DE 10 2007 062 863 A1, the filling level of a condensate collecting tank is monitored in order then to generate a signal as an indication for carrying out a condensate removal process when a fill level threshold value is exceeded. However, this information alone may not be sufficient to allow further safe operation without interrupting the drying process.
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a domestic appliance, in particular a tumble dryer, and a method for operating a domestic appliance, in particular a tumble dryer, which each allow the early detection of a fault and provide means to avoid the fault during operation. This object is achieved by a household appliance and by a method according to respective independent claim. Further developments of the invention and optional features will be apparent from the dependent claims and the description and the figures of the accompanying drawing. Developments of the household appliance correspond, unless excluded for technical reasons, developments of the method and vice versa, and this even if it is not explicitly stated herein. According to the invention, a domestic appliance, in particular a tumble dryer, comprises a condensate collecting tank and a condensate tray and a control device which is designed to detect a filling level of the condensate collecting tank and / or the condensate tray, wherein the control unit comprises at least one comparison value and wherein the control device is designed to control the or to compare the levels with the at least one comparison value, and wherein the control device is designed on reaching, exceeding or falling below the at least one comparison value to output a discharge time window for the condensate collector.
The household appliance is preferably a laundry treatment appliance. According to various embodiments, the laundry treatment device is z. B. a tumble dryer, for example, an exhaust air dryer, a condensation dryer or a heat pump dryer. The household appliance may also be a combination device, which combines a washing machine function and a dryer function in itself. Basically, the household appliance is a device in which condensation occurs. Conveniently, the condensate pan and the condensate collection are provided for collecting the condensate. The condensate tray represents a first collecting vessel, which is permanently installed in the household appliance and which serves the direct / first recording of the condensate. The condensate tray is suitably fluidly connected to the condensate collecting tank, wherein according to a preferred embodiment, the household appliance comprises a pump which is designed to pump the condensate from the condensate tray to the condensate collecting tank. The condensate tray is expediently arranged in a lower part of the domestic appliance, for example below the rotating drum of the dryer, while the condensate collecting container is arranged higher up. Conveniently, the condensate collection container is designed and arranged such that it can be removed and emptied by a user. The control device is expediently an electrical unit which is designed to operate the domestic appliance. According to a preferred embodiment, the control device has corresponding input and output means, via which the household appliance z. B. can be served. Preferably z. For example, a corresponding display device is provided which is intended to display certain information to a user. The great advantage lies in the fact that the control device is designed to detect a level of the condensate collection tank and / or the condensate pan and to calculate on this basis the emptying time window, which indicates, so to speak, the remaining period to the condensate. The detected level or the detected levels are compared with a comparison value, which also represents a certain level. When the level of the condensate collector or condensate tray has reached the comparison value, the controller may calculate the discharge time window, ie, the period of time still available to empty the condensate collector.
Conveniently, the at least one comparison value is a limit level of the condensate collection tank. The limit level is a level that is below a maximum level of the condensate collection tank. Thus, several levels / water levels are preferably measured or detected. If the maximum level of the condensate collection tank is reached, this leads to the termination of the drying process (condensate drop). That is, it may happen that the drying process ends before it is terminated by the sensing of the final moisture content desired by the user. Consequently, if necessary, the desired final moisture content is not reached, which can lead to dissatisfaction with the dry result. However, the emptying time window now advantageously indicates the period of time within which it is still possible to "react." For example, the limit level is about 50% to 90%, preferably about 60% to 80% of the maximum fill level of the condensate collection container.
Appropriately, the control device is designed to transmit the emptying time window to a user or to send. It has already been mentioned that the control device advantageously comprises a display device or the like. According to a preferred embodiment, the household appliance or its control device comprises an extended user interface, preferably a mobile terminal. One of the- Such mobile user interface in the form of a mobile application, preferably an app, offers the opportunity to display the advance notice of the error case. This can be done in the form of a text, eg. B.: "Your condensate tank is almost full. Please empty this to avoid unwanted drying abort. "The display can be extended with a down-counting clock to clarify when the possibility of avoiding the delayed error event ends.The down-counting clock corresponds to the emptying time window, ie the period is available until a maximum level of the condensate collection tank is reached.
Expediently, the control device comprises a switching level, which is a filling level of the condensate tray, wherein the control unit is designed to control the pump when the switching level is reached or exceeded. This designation is called "event-controlled." Event-controlled means that the pump triggers at a certain amount of water, the switching level, so that in the case of "event-driven" pumps, the condensate pump generally operates only when a certain predetermined amount of water is available a predetermined constant capacity works. If the specified amount of water is exceeded, the pump is switched off. Expediently, the control device is parameterized such that, after the emptying time window has expired, pumping is again carried out and it is checked whether the pumping cycle was successful. If this is the case, it can be assumed that the user has carried out the advance notice. Otherwise, the error persists and the dryer may jump into its fault management. Since condensate still accumulates in the course of the drying process, the system must be designed in such a way that the operation of the device is safe even when the water level is markedly higher than the switching level. Conveniently, therefore, the switching level, which represents a level of the condensate tray, for example in a range of about 50% to 90% below a maximum level of the condensate tray, suitably in a range of about 60% to 80%. Alternatively, the pump can also be timed. Time-controlled in this case means a control based on predetermined time values z. B. in the program sequence of the household appliance / tumble dryer.
Alternatively or additionally, the at least one comparison value may be a minimum fill level of the condensate tray. From the condensate tray, if this one specific Level has reached (see switching level), pumped via a pump, the collected or accumulated condensate in the condensate collection tank, which is usually located above the condensate tray. Conveniently, the controller is adapted to recognize if the pumping process was successful. The level is evaluated at a specified time after the pumping cycle. If there is no water, the pumping cycle is considered successful. Otherwise, the cycle was unsuccessful and, for example, the system sends a corresponding error or initiates appropriate measures. Advantageously, after the unsuccessful pump has been detected, the emptying time window can now be started. Appropriately, therefore, based on a level of the condensate tray, in particular based on a minimum level of the condensate tray, issued a discharge time window for the condensate collection or started. The minimum level is to be understood as meaning that it is checked whether the condensate tray z. B. is empty. Thus, the conclusion can be drawn whether the pumping cycle was successful.
Another advantage that results is that the detection of the unsuccessful pumping cycle is hardened twice, which means a much better protection of the condensate. Conveniently, the control device comprises a timer, which is designed to control the pump after the emptying time window. The timing circuit thus makes it possible to check whether the pumping cycle was successful.
Expediently, the household appliance comprises a first measuring device, which is designed to detect the fill level of the condensate collecting container, wherein the first measuring device expediently comprises at least two electrodes, which are arranged in the condensate collecting container along a vertical axis at a distance from one another. This represents an extremely simple and effective design. The measuring device determines the conductance between two electrodes. In the case of two water levels, three electrodes suffice.
However, the first measuring device can also be a continuous measuring system which operates with at least two threshold values. To realize at least two water levels The use of two reed contacts with a float magnet can also be used.
Conveniently, the household appliance also includes a second measuring device, which is designed to include the level of the condensate tray. Again, the above possibilities for the realization of the measurement apply.
The invention also provides a method for operating a domestic appliance, in particular for monitoring a drying process of a tumble dryer, the household appliance having a condensate collecting tank and a condensate tray, comprising the steps:
Erfassen eines Füllstandes des Kondensatsammelbehälters und/oder der Kondensatwanne;  Detecting a fill level of the condensate collection tank and / or the condensate pan;
Vergleich des/der Füllstände mit zumindest einem Vergleichswert;  Comparison of the level (s) with at least one comparison value;
Output or generation of an emptying time window for the condensate collecting tank upon reaching, exceeding or falling below the at least one comparison value.
Zweckmäßigerweise umfasst das Verfahren weiterhin den Schritt: The minimum length of the emptying time window results from the vertical distance of the measuring points and the maximum condensation speed of the dryer. This design has other advantages that can be used in device operation. One advantage is the separation of the event-driven pumping element from the security element, which initiates fault management. Another advantage is the measurement of the condensation rate. Since the volume between the two measuring points is known, the condensation rate can be calculated over the time between reaching the two water levels. This parameter is dependent on the time within the drying and can be used to harden the identification of the drying phase. Thus, the condensation rate in the so-called plateau phase is constant. Before and after, however, it assumes lower values. Conveniently, the method further comprises the step:
Transmission of the emptying time window to a user. The transmission can take place, for example, via a display device of the control device, or via an extended user interface, for example in the form of an app.
Zweckmäßigerweise umfasst das Verfahren weiter den Schritt: Conveniently, the method further comprises the step:
- End of the operation of the household appliance only when the level of the condensate collection tank and the condensate pan have reached a maximum value.
Advantageously, therefore, the two existing storage volumes are used as best as possible. If the condensate collection tank is full, this does not yet have to lead to condensation, as the volume of the condensate tray can still be completely exhausted. Only when both levels have reached their maximum value, the operation of the household appliance, in this case in particular the drying process of the clothes dryer, ended. The emptying time window, which refers to the still remaining volume of the condensate collection container still available, can therefore be extended by the volume of the condensate tray, whereby the termination of the drying process can be further delayed.
Zweckmäßigerweise umfasst das Verfahren zudem den Schritt: Conveniently, the method further comprises the step:
- Vorausberechnen eines Endes des Trocknungsprozesses. - predicting an end of the drying process.
In other words, expediently, therefore, a residual maturity is calculated in advance. This precalculation is expediently based on the condensation rate mentioned. The end of the drying process can expediently be related to the emptying time window or to the length of the emptying time window. If the emptying time window is longer than the period until the end of the drying process or the remaining running time, it is expediently also possible for this information to be transmitted to a user. The user then knows that, at least after the end of the drying process, he should empty the condensate collector, but he also knows that there is no need to do it during operation.
Zweckmäßigerweise umfasst das Verfahren weiter die Schritte: - Pumpen von Kondensat von der Kondensatwanne zum Kondensatsammelbehälter, wenn ein Schaltpegel in der Kondensatwanne erreicht oder überschritten ist; Conveniently, the method further comprises the steps: - Pumping condensate from the condensate pan to the condensate collector, when a switching level in the condensate pan is reached or exceeded;
Erfassen des Füllstandes der Kondensatwanne nach dem Durchführen des Pumpvorganges;  Detecting the level of the condensate tray after performing the pumping operation;
Transmission of the emptying time window to the user when the level of the condensate tray is greater than a minimum level.
Weiter umfasst das Verfahren zweckmäßigerweise den Schritt: Furthermore, the method expediently comprises the step:
Erneutes Pumpen nach Ablauf des Entleerungszeitfensters.  Re-pumping after expiration of the emptying time window.
After recognition of the unsuccessful pumping thus expediently begins the emptying window, at the end of which pumped again and checked whether the pumping cycle was successful.

Es zeigt: Further advantages and features will become apparent from the following description of a preferred embodiment of the household appliance according to the invention with reference to the figure of the accompanying drawings. It shows:

Fig. 1 shows in a sectional view an embodiment of a household appliance 10, in particular a tumble dryer. Shown in the embodiment shown here is a sectional view through a condensation dryer, this embodiment being only an example. The dryer 10 comprises in its upper region a controller 30, which comprises an operating unit or input / output means 32 and a display device 34. The display device 34 may be formed optically and / or acoustically. Conveniently, the controller is also designed to provide an enhanced user interface in the form of a mobile application such. For example, to include an app. The dryer 10 comprises a rotatably mounted drum 12, which can be filled via a door 16. Process air heated by a heater 68 can flow through a process air channel 14 and through the drum 12. The arrangements tion of an evaporator 62, a condenser 64, a pump 66 and a compressor 70 are basically known from the prior art. The focus is on the condensate tray 40, which is connected via a line 22 to a condensate collecting tank 20 arranged above it. Liquid or condensate can be transported from the condensate tray 40 to the condensate collecting tank 20 via a pump 60. The condensate collector 20 is suitably designed to be interchangeable, so that it can be emptied by a user if necessary. According to another embodiment, the condensate collecting tank 20 is also arranged in an upper region, for example above the drum 12, for example on a plane or in the region of the control device 30. Expediently, the control device is now preferably via first and second measuring devices (not shown here) designed to detect the levels of the condensate pan 40 and the condensate collection tank 20. A limit level G in the condensate collection container 20 is indicated in which a discharge time window is started or output. This limit fill level G is below a maximum fill level M at which the condensate collection container 20 should be emptied, at least when the condensate pan 40 is completely filled. In the condensate tray 40, a switching level S is indicated, which represents a level of the condensate pan 40, when it reaches or exceeds the pump 60 is driven to transport condensate from the condensate pan 40 to the condensate collection tank 20. The evaluation or the detection of both levels, both the condensate pan 40 and the condensate collection tank 20, allows to extend the drying process as much as possible or to avoid the error case / condensate case or move to the rear.
