Definitions

  • the invention relates to a safety cabinet, in particular fire protection cabinet for receiving and storing hazardous substances, preferably a battery cabinet for receiving and storing high-performance batteries such as lithium-ion batteries, with a cabinet body and at least one hinged door connected to the cabinet body, further comprising at least one locking element on the Swing door, and / or on the cabinet body, with at least one fuse and in particular fuse.

  • a cabinet body and at least one hinged door connected to the cabinet body further comprising at least one locking element on the Swing door, and / or on the cabinet body, with at least one fuse and in particular fuse.
  • Safety cabinets and other fire safes typically serve to contain hazardous substances such as liquid and combustible chemicals. However, it is also possible, for example, to store gas cylinders or solid hazardous substances in the interior. In order to protect the hazardous substances from any external sources of fire, the safety cabinets or fire protection cabinets have a predetermined fire resistance, which corresponds to different fire resistance periods. In fact, the fire safes in question are usually classified according to the regulation DIN EN 14470. In total, four levels of fire resistance duration of 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 60 minutes and finally 90 minutes are distinguished, as described by way of example in the Applicant's Utility Model DE 20 2014 101 935 U1.
  • WO 2012/126664 A1 deals with a cabinet and in particular gas cylinder cabinet, in which the two cabinet doors are simultaneously unlockable / lockable via an espagnolette lock and a latch lock by means of a common rotary latch. As a result, both a locking and unlocking as well as a smooth and fast door opening can be realized.
  • the spring urges the locking element in the direction of the locking position. As soon as the swing door transitions to the closed position, a mechanical lock releases the locking element, which is urged by the spring into the locked position. To unlock the known swing door, it is only necessary to unlock the locking element by means of a handle. This has proven itself in principle.
