Definitions

  • the invention relates to a shower jet outlet device with a spray disk, which has at least one jet disk opening, and with a jet outlet element arranged in the jet disk opening, and to a shower with such a shower jet outlet device.
  • a shower jet outlet device with a spray disk, which has at least one jet disk opening, and with a jet outlet element arranged in the jet disk opening, and to a shower with such a shower jet outlet device.
  • This can e.g. a sanitary shower head, such as a head, hand or side shower, or a shower head at the outlet of a sanitary water dispensing or mixer fitting for a bathtub or a washbasin or sink, such as a kitchen shower head for a kitchen sink.
  • shower jet outlet devices of this type are known in various ways, in particular for sanitary showers. So is in the published patent application EP 2 684 610 A1 discloses a shower with such a shower jet outlet device, in which the jet disk has a plurality of jet disk openings and the jet outlet elements are formed in a hollow cylindrical manner from elastomeric material with a continuous hollow channel as the jet outlet opening and are formed on a common jet outlet plate lying against the inside of the jet disk.
  • Such cylindrical jet outlet elements made of an elastomer material are also referred to as jet outlet nipples or in short as nipples.
  • Disclosed showers of this type are multi-channel jet outlet units for the shower jet outlet device, each having at least two fluid-separated outlet channels.
  • the various outlet channels of the respective jet outlet unit open into separate fluid outlet chambers on the inlet side, so that the fluid can be selectively and selectively supplied to one of the outlet channels in order, for example, to provide different types of shower jet.
  • Hollow cylindrical jet outlet elements or nipples made of elastomer material act as jet outlet units, the outlet channels running continuously from one side of the cylinder to the other, for example parallel next to one another or in a coaxial arrangement.
  • the nipples are preferably formed integrally with and on a jet outlet plate made of the elastomer material, which is arranged on the inside of the jet disc.
  • the patent US 5,246,301 discloses a brush-like shower head with brush pins that function as single-channel or two-channel jet outlet elements.
  • the jet outlet pegs are cylindrical, tapered in shape and, in a single-channel design, have an outlet channel that extends longitudinally through the pin or an outlet channel that opens out on the cylinder side wall.
  • the respective pin In a two-channel design, has a longitudinally and centrally passing outlet channel and an outlet channel running laterally on the inlet side of this central outlet channel and opening out on the pin side wall.
  • Disclosed shower jet outlet device has an annular base part made of elastic material, which is provided on the outlet side with water passage openings and with its side walls abuts against side walls of a corresponding ring channel 108 of a shower head housing and is thereby fixed in the shower head.
  • the bottom section can bulge outward depending on the water pressure in order to support limescale detachment in the area of the water passage openings.
  • shower jet outlet devices are typically designed to provide one or more selectable shower jet types, for example to provide a massage jet, a normal jet, a gush jet or a needle jet or fine jet.
  • a spray disc with comparatively small spray disc openings, which act as spray outlet openings of the shower and accordingly as fine spray openings.
  • a thin metal disk into which the fine jet openings can be introduced relatively easily in terms of production technology, serves as the jet disk. Because of their relatively small passage cross section, these fine jet openings are very sensitive to clogging by dirt particles and calcification, which is why shower jet outlet devices of this type with exchangeable metallic jet disk have already been proposed.
  • the invention is based on the technical problem of providing a shower jet outlet device of the type mentioned at the outset, which can be produced and operated with relatively little effort and which enables a functionally reliable fine jet shower operation with comparatively fine individual jets if required, which is relatively insensitive to clogging by dirt particles and calcification.
  • the invention solves this problem by providing a shower jet outlet device with the features of claim 1.
  • the jet outlet element is pot-shaped with an outlet-side floor, a side wall and a hollow chamber delimited by the floor and the side wall.
  • the jet exit element is arranged with its bottom pointing in the jet exit direction in the associated jet disk opening and is preferably held on the jet disk and has a plurality of spaced apart fine jet openings extending through the bottom. This creates the prerequisite for being able to provide a very fine shower spray if necessary, which can in particular be a fog-like fine shower spray.
  • the bottom and the side wall of the jet outlet element consist of an elastic material, preferably in one piece from the same elastic material.
  • the entire jet exit element can be made in one piece from the elastic material.
  • the elastic material can in particular be an elastomeric material, such as a conventional silicone-based elastomer material.
  • the jet outlet element is designed in such a way that its base and its side wall deform in a curved manner depending on a fluid operating pressure present in the hollow chamber. Fluid operating pressure is to be understood as a pressure of the fluid supplied to the shower when the shower is used as intended. This deformation of the jet outlet element due to the fluid operating pressure occurring during operation of the shower jet outlet device particularly advantageously prevents functional failures or functional restrictions due to dirt particles and calcification.
  • the deformation makes it more difficult for dirt and lime particles to adhere, and any dirt or lime particles that have already adhered to them can be easily and easily removed or removed. This can significantly reduce the cleaning effort required for the shower jet outlet device. That with Higher fluid operating pressure, increasing deformation of the jet outlet element favors a self-cleaning function of the shower jet outlet device during operation, in that an initial blockage of the fine jet openings, for example due to the beginning of limescale deposits, leads to an increased fluid operating pressure in the hollow chamber of the jet outlet element, whereby the deformation is intensified, by which the showerhead itself becomes blocked can be detached or chipped.
  • this shower jet outlet device can be produced with relatively little effort and can be operated in a functionally reliable manner.
  • the fine jet openings can be introduced into the bottom of the jet outlet element with a relatively small passage or outlet cross section. Supplied shower fluid enters the hollow chamber of the cup-shaped jet outlet element and can exit from there through the fine jet openings as a fine / needle jet from the shower jet outlet device.
  • the cup-shaped design of the jet outlet element can keep the susceptibility of the shower jet outlet device to blockage of the fine jet openings due to accumulated dirt / lime particles and facilitate the removal of any adhering dirt / lime particles.
  • the length of the fine jet openings to be flowed through is limited to the wall thickness of the base, which can be kept significantly smaller than the total axial length of the jet outlet element, in corresponding versions less than a fifth or also less than a tenth of the same.
  • the shower jet outlet device can have any number of such jet outlet elements corresponding to the number of associated jet disk openings, preferably a plurality of jet outlet elements arranged uniformly distributed over the extent of an associated jet disk surface.
  • the one or more of the jet outlet elements can be flush with the bottom of his / her bottom with the jet disk, or can be set back somewhat from the outside or preferably protrude outward beyond the jet disk. In the latter case, it may be more preferred if that Jet outlet element also protrudes outwards with a region of its side wall adjoining the base via the jet disk. In corresponding implementations, the jet outlet element projects outward beyond the jet disk with more than half the axial length of its side wall. This favors the deformation of the jet outlet element and, in particular, its side wall, which is dependent on the fluid pressure, unhindered by the jet disk.
  • the fine jet openings are each made with a passage cross section of at most 0.2 mm 2 , in particular of at most 0.1 mm 2 . This dimensioning measure enables the provision of a correspondingly fine spray jet.
  • an outer diameter of the bottom and the side wall of the jet outlet element is at most 10 mm, in particular at most 6 mm, in corresponding applications also only at most 5 mm or at most 4 mm. This dimensioning measure can also be useful for achieving a very fine shower spray.
  • the bottom of the jet outlet element has at least three and at most ten fine jet openings. This dimensioning measure can also be advantageous in terms of production technology and advantageous in terms of the shower jet characteristic that can be achieved.
  • the jet exit element is arranged parallel to the jet exit direction between a retracted end position and a forward end position in the jet disc opening, whereby it is in the forward end position when the fluid operating pressure is present in the hollow chamber and is in the retracted end position in the hollow chamber when there is no fluid operating pressure .
  • this can have functional advantages.
  • the jet outlet element In the retracted end position, the jet outlet element can be completely drawn into the jet disk opening, for example, be flush with it on the outside or withdrawn relative to it. Alternatively, in its retracted end position, the jet outlet element is only retracted to the rear into the jet disk opening.
  • the jet outlet element can be in the advanced end position eg at least with its bottom outside the jet disc opening, in corresponding embodiments additionally with a smaller or alternatively with a larger part of its side wall. This favors the bulging deformation of the jet outlet element, especially its base and / or its side wall, under the influence of the fluid operating pressure in the hollow chamber.
  • the jet outlet element is guided as a whole with translational movement in the jet disk opening or, alternatively, is held with a rear area on the jet disk or a shower part in front of the jet disk in such a way that its bottom and preferably also its side wall can move forward depending on the fluid pressure, for example elastically.
  • the jet outlet element is preferably arranged elastically resetting in the direction of the retracted end position, so that it automatically moves back into the retracted end position when the fluid pressure decreases.
  • the jet outlet element is designed in such a way that the diameter of its side wall and / or a passage cross section of its fine jet openings is increased by at least 3% with a fluid operating pressure of 0.5 bar in relation to a depressurized state due to the arching of the base and / or the side wall. and / or is / are increased by at least 8% at a fluid operating pressure of 1bar and / or is / are increased by at least 12% at a fluid operating pressure of 1.5bar. It can be seen that this system design for the jet outlet element results in sufficiently good protection against rapid clogging by dirt particles and / or limescale deposits, particularly when used in sanitary showers, where the water operating pressure is typically in this range.
  • the bottom and the side wall of the jet outlet element consist of an elastomer material with a Shore A hardness of at most 75, in particular of at most 40. It can be seen that with this system design of the jet outlet element, the bulging deformation of the jet outlet element also depends is supported in a favorable manner by the fluid operating pressure.
  • the jet outlet element has a holding shoulder which projects radially from the side wall. This can be used for the beam exit element to hold securely on the spray disc or an adjacent component.
  • the beam outlet element has axially protruding spacers at its front end on the inlet side.
  • This can be used to arrange the jet outlet element between the jet disc and a one spaced from the inside of the jet disc, e.g. to hold plate-shaped or disk-shaped housing or intermediate wall of the shower against which the jet outlet element comes into contact with its axially projecting spacer.
  • a fluid outlet chamber can be formed between the jet disk and the housing or intermediate wall, to which the shower fluid is supplied and from which the shower fluid can reach the hollow chamber of the jet outlet element.
  • the jet disk has a plurality of jet disk openings, in which a corresponding number of jet outlet elements are arranged, the jet outlet elements being integrally formed on a jet outlet plate made of elastic material that lies against the inside of the jet disk.
  • a jet outlet plate made of elastic material that lies against the inside of the jet disk.
  • it can in particular be a conventional elastomer material.
  • the one-piece molding of the jet outlet elements on the jet outlet plate can simplify the manufacture of the jet outlet elements and their placement in the jet disk openings.
  • the shower head according to the invention is equipped with a shower spray outlet device according to the invention.
  • the shower head can in particular be a sanitary shower head, e.g. a shower head designed as an overhead shower, hand shower or side shower.
  • the shower shown as an example of a possible exemplary embodiment of the invention is of a flat construction known per se, as is used, for example, for sanitary overhead showers.

  • Fig. 4 shows in one of the Fig. 3 corresponding detail view of a variant of the shower of 1 to 3 , in which the jet outlet elements 6 are manufactured as individual parts and are held in the shower. For this purpose, they are inserted from the inside into the respectively associated jet disc opening 5 of the jet disc 4 and held in this position by a housing or intermediate plate 8 of the shower placed against it on the inside of the shower.

  • the spacer 6e contains a plurality of spacer webs which are spaced apart in the circumferential direction of the annular upper, inlet-side edge of the beam outlet element 6 and project axially from this edge. In this way, a space remains between the spacer webs of the spacer 6e, through which the shower fluid which is supplied to the shower can flow via the upper, inlet-side pot opening of the pot-shaped jet outlet element 6 into its hollow chamber 6c.
  • an axial distance between the housing or intermediate plate 8 and the jet disc 4 forms a fluid outlet chamber 11 ', from which the jet outlet elements 6 open and via which the fluid supplied to the shower can be distributed to the plurality of jet outlet elements 6.
  • the beam outlet elements 6 with their base 6a and an adjacent region of their side wall 6b each project outwards beyond the jet disk 4 in the beam outlet direction, for example by about a fifth to a third of their total axial length.

In the said practice pattern, an increase in the passage cross section A at this pressure of approximately 1.5 bar was found to be slightly more than 80% compared to the unpressurized state. Out Fig. 15 it can be seen that the side wall 6b has further bulged, ie enlarged, with its diameter D and also the bottom 6a has further outward, ie in Fig. 15 bulging downward. The latter results in the aforementioned oval widening of the fine jet openings 7.

  • Various possible implementations for such an axially movable mounting of a jet outlet element in a jet disk opening are known per se to the person skilled in the art, which therefore requires no further explanation here.
  • the respective jet outlet element is arranged at a lateral distance from the associated jet disk opening, so that its side wall due to the fluid pressure is not only in an area protruding axially from the jet disk opening, but also in an area that does not protrude axially from the jet disk opening Area can bulge.
  • the invention provides a shower jet outlet device which is comparatively insensitive to signs of clogging by dirt particles and limescale deposits and, if required, can be implemented in such a way that it can produce a particularly fine, if desired quasi-misty, fine spray jet.
  • the fine jet openings with a very small passage cross section can preferably be introduced into an elastic base material of the respective jet outlet element. The fluid pressure-dependent breathing of the jet outlet element prevents blockages in the small fine jet openings.
  • any dirt / lime particles that have accumulated can be automatically detached or flaked off and the formation of the fine jet openings 7, in their free flow cross section, conspicuously constricting dirt / limescale deposits are effectively counteracted.
  • the invention comprises, in addition to the embodiment variants shown and the explanations explained above, further implementations of the shower jet outlet device, it being only mandatory that the jet outlet element arranged in the associated jet disk opening is pot-shaped and arranged with its bottom pointing in the jet outlet direction and a plurality in the bottom of fine jet openings is provided.
  • the shower jet outlet device can be used for any conventional type of sanitary shower, such as shower showers, kitchen showers and showers for mixer fittings, and non-sanitary showers.
