Description
The invention relates to a harness consisting of textile straps, and having at least one connection and retaining point shaped according to a closed loop of textile material defining an opening for the passage of a carabiner or other connector. Such a harness is used for the safety of people in the work at height.
Most of the harnesses for working at height, has in addition to the central tie-in bridge, side connection points for holding and retaining when using these side points in a working position of the user.
- either by strap loops arranged on the belt strap. These loops are light, not prominent and allow a good orientation of the connectors of the lanyard for maintenance at work. On the other hand, these loops of straps have the disadvantage of being less ergonomic to connect, because of their flexibility, and having a deformable and reduced opening which complicates the installation of the connectors. Frequent use may also cause premature wear of the belt strap.
- either by metal dice each mounted in a loop sewn on the belt strap. The advantage of these metal dies rigid structure is to be easy to connect because the opening is large and not deformable. But the disadvantage of such a die is to be prominent and likely to cling to the outer elements, to be heavier, and to guide the connectors of the lanyard in a direction perpendicular to the belt. Such an orientation of the connectors is not ideal during staggered work restraints. In addition, the coming into engagement of the metal dice on the hips of the user, may cause an annoying compression point, to the detriment of comfort for the user.
The object of the invention is to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks, and to make a safety harness for work at height, having functional and ergonomic connection points that are easy to connect, while improving the comfort of maintaining work.
The harness according to the invention is characterized in that the opening of the textile loop is stiffened by a rigid or semi-rigid insert, which is configured to facilitate the installation of the connector, said insert comprising a base surface secured to the carrying structure of the harness for transmitting and distributing the forces when the user is in a work-holding position.
According to a preferred embodiment, the insert comprises a plastic shell having an internal orifice adaptable to the opening of the textile loop, and guide means for the path of the textile loop during its winding in the shell.
According to one characteristic of the invention, the base surface of the hull and loop assembly is sewn onto the carrying structure of the harness.
According to another characteristic of the invention, the loop of the connection point is arranged on the lateral and / or rear part of the belt strap,
Preferably, the loop is made in continuity with an intermediate portion of the belt strap. The path of the strap in the shell of the insert contributes to the connection being made inside the belt strap.
The insert has an Omega shape, with a base surface surmounted by a bow to form said internal holding hole, said base being sewn on the padding strip by seams.
The belt strap advantageously comprises at least two lateral connection points located on either side of the central point of attachment, the assembly being configured to distribute the holding tension over the entire height of the harness.
According to an alternative embodiment, the loop of the connection point can be manufactured with an auxiliary strap separate from the main belt strap.
The shell of the insert includes a base surface configured to provide a lateral attachment point, or ventral or sternal.
This stiffening function of the connection loops by the shell of the insert can be implemented in any type of safety harness for work at height.
The invention thus applies to a sit harness with or without torso harness, and also to a simple seat belt at work without shorts and without torso.

Referring to the figures, a
The
