Definitions

  • the invention relates to a harness comprising a connector configured to allow the attachment of an external element.
  • the harness In the field of climbing, mountaineering, ski touring, or to perform work at height, the harness is an essential element which ensures the safety of the user by connecting it to a point of 'mooring.
  • This mooring point can be a return point or a fixed point.
  • the harness has different shapes. It is possible to find seat harnesses or harnesses that also have shoulder straps.
  • the harness can also have a single attachment point or, on the contrary, several attachment points.
  • Climbing harnesses generally have a textile ring that connects the belt with the thigh loops. This textile ring serves as a connection point for the tools, that is to say the elements which are necessary for the practice of climbing for example. It is also known to fasten the leg loops to the belt by means of a strap and to form a strap loop on the belt of the harness. In these two configurations, a tool such as a connector metal is mounted in the textile loop in order to be able to use, for example a lanyard, a blocker or a descender.
  • harness belt has two buckles which are arranged at each end of the belt.
  • the two loops are secured to one another, for example, by means of a multidirectional half-round metal connector in order to close the harness belt.
  • the tools are mounted in the metal connector.
  • Professional harnesses can use even more complex configurations with, for example, several loops that allow the harness to be closed. It is possible to find a pair of ventral loops and a pair of sternal loops. It is also possible to find means for closing the belt and means for adjusting the belt which are different from the pairs of loops and which do not allow the installation of a tool.

  • the connecting element 6 continuously connects the first ring 5a with the second ring 5b in order to form a mechanical connection parallel to the mechanical connection formed by the connector 7. This mechanical connection makes it possible to prevent the appearance of sets of different stresses between the two rings 5a and 5b coming from the other components of the harness.
  • the connector 7 is configured not to apply simultaneous stresses on the two opposite external faces of the two rings 5a and 5b in the first direction and directed towards the space situated between the two rings 5a and 5b.

In this way, it is possible to wear the harness 1, open the belt 2 and adjust the circumference of the belt 2 without manipulating the connector 7. It is also possible to remove the connector 7 without changing the adjustment of the belt 2 and without opening the harness 1. If the rings 5a and 5b close the harness, for example by means of a hemispherical connector, the two rings 5a and 5b are subjected to forces which prevent the opening of the harness and which deform rings. Description

Domaine technique de l'inventionTechnical field of the invention

The invention relates to a harness comprising a connector configured to allow the attachment of an external element.

État de la techniqueState of the art

In the field of climbing, mountaineering, ski touring, or to perform work at height, the harness is an essential element which ensures the safety of the user by connecting it to a point of 'mooring. This mooring point can be a return point or a fixed point.

Depending on the uses and associated standards, the harness has different shapes. It is possible to find seat harnesses or harnesses that also have shoulder straps. The harness can also have a single attachment point or, on the contrary, several attachment points.

Different harness configurations are known. Climbing harnesses generally have a textile ring that connects the belt with the thigh loops.

Alternatively, for caving harnesses or for work at height harnesses, it is common to have a harness that can open fully. The harness belt has two buckles which are arranged at each end of the belt. The two loops are secured to one another, for example, by means of a multidirectional half-round metal connector in order to close the harness belt. The tools are mounted in the metal connector.

Professional harnesses can use even more complex configurations with, for example, several loops that allow the harness to be closed. It is possible to find a pair of ventral loops and a pair of sternal loops. It is also possible to find means for closing the belt and means for adjusting the belt which are different from the pairs of loops and which do not allow the installation of a tool. For example, the closure means are produced by fasteners with quick loops.

Again, the textile loops are used to secure a metal connector with the harness.

Conventionally, once the user is suspended in his harness, it is relatively difficult to move the various tools because the connector is under tension and the tools are wedged against the user or they are wedged against each other in the connector.

It is known from the document US 2010/0300802 , a harness with an opening system associated with two loops. The two loops are held by a strap which defines the maximum opening of the opening system. Both buckles cooperate with a carabiner preventing the opening of the harness. The document EP 1 852 145 discloses a harness with two thigh loops which are attached to the belt. The two loops ending the thigh loops are joined to form a single point of attachment of the straps on the belt. The document FR 2 945 221 describes a metal connector for closing a belt of a harness. The connector defines two holes for fixing the leg loops as well as an additional hole for attaching the straps. The document US 4,553,633 discloses a harness provided with two loops attached to a sternal strap on either side of a harness closure system. When using the sternal loops, it is no longer possible to open the harness.

Objet de l'inventionSubject of the invention

An object of the invention is to provide a harness which allows better management of the tools which are attached to the harness and in particular inside the connector which is fixed to the harness.

The harness is remarkable in that it includes:
  • a pair of leg loops and a suspension point comprising:
    • first and second separate rings,
    • a connecting element permanently attached to the first and second separate rings, the connecting element mechanically connecting the first and second separate rings with the pair of leg loops,
    • a closed metal connector fitted with a rod.
The harness is also remarkable in that:
  • the closed metal connector and the connecting element are different from any means for closing the harness,
  • the first and second rings are spaced from each other by a first distance in a first direction and define a space void between a first lateral face of the first ring and a second lateral face of the second ring,
  • the first and second rings are arranged so as to allow the positioning of the connector rod in the first and second rings, the rod having a longitudinal axis coinciding with the first direction, the rod being mounted so that it can rotate in the first and second rings and the connector being mounted movable in rotation about the longitudinal axis of the rod.
In a development, the first and second rings are formed by first and second textile loops and the connecting element is a textile material.
It is advantageous to provide that the first and second textile loops are sewn onto the connecting element.
Preferably, the first and second textile loops are sewn on the connecting element in first and second fixing positions aligned in the first direction.

According to the invention, a first adapter is mounted inside the first ring. The first adapter has a first through hole in the first direction, the rod passing through said first through hole.
In another embodiment, a second adapter is mounted inside the second ring. The second adapter has a second through hole in the first direction so that the rod passes through the first and second through holes.
It is also possible to provide that the first adapter and the second adapter are formed by the same monolithic element configured to authorize the mounting of a connection element on the rod, in a space between the first adapter and the second adapter.

In an alternative embodiment, the monolithic element defines a groove between the first adapter and the second adapter.

Preferably, the first adapter and / or the second adapter are made of polymer material.

Advantageously, at least the first through hole of the first adapter has a section complementary to the section of the connector rod.

It is possible to provide a harness with a belt. The connecting element is fixed to at least part of the belt and the first and second rings are arranged so that the longitudinal axis of the rod can rotate freely along an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the belt.

In another embodiment, the harness comprises a belt and the first ring and the second ring are formed by a strap and / or a rope which are fixed directly to the belt.

Advantageously, the first and second rings are fixed to the ventral portion of the belt covering the abdomen of the user to form a ventral suspension point.

Preferably, the first and second rings are connected to the belt to form a lateral suspension point.

It is also possible to provide that the connecting element forms at least part of the belt and that the first and second rings are arranged so that the longitudinal axis of the rod can rotate freely along an axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the belt.

Preferably, the harness comprises a belt and means for adjusting the circumference of the belt. The first and second rings are separate from the means for adjusting the circumference of the belt and the means for adjusting the circumference of the belt are arranged outside the surface delimited by the points of attachment of the first ring with the belt and of the second ring with the belt.

Alternativement, le harnais est dépourvu de bretelles.Alternatively, the harness has no shoulder straps.

In another development, the harness has shoulder straps and the first and second rings are connected to the belt without being attached to the shoulder straps.

In a particular embodiment, the first ring and / or the second ring are formed by a strap and / or a rope which covers two opposite sides of the belt.

Advantageously, the harness comprises a belt and means for opening and closing the belt arranged outside the surface delimited by the fixing points of the first ring with the belt and of the second ring with the belt.

In another development, the harness has shoulder straps and the first and second rings are fixed to form a sternal or dorsal suspension point, the first and / or the second rings are formed by at least strap or a rope mechanically connected to at least a strap.

It is also possible to provide that the first ring is formed by a first strap and that the second ring is formed by a second strap different from the first strap.
In a preferred embodiment, the closed metal connector defines a closed contour. The connector is fixed to the belt by means of the first and second rings so as to be able to rotate the closed contour along an axis of rotation parallel or perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the belt.

Advantageously, the connector rod is configured to rotate independently of the rest of the connector.
In an alternative, the connector rod is removably mounted so as to allow the connector to be detached from the harness.
In one embodiment, the connector rod is configured to receive hooking elements from a fifth wheel holder, said hooking elements being arranged on the rod outside a closed contour of the connector and first and second rings.

According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, the first and second rings and the connecting element are formed by a one-piece element made of metallic material. The monobloc element comprises at least one orifice for the passage of at least one strap configured to mechanically connect the first and second rings to at least one pair of leg loops. The one-piece element defines a groove.
It is also possible to provide that the one-piece element is fixed to the belt to form a ventral suspension point, the first direction being parallel to a longitudinal axis of the belt.

In another development, the monobloc element is fixed to the belt to form a lateral suspension point, the first direction being perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the belt.
Alternatively, the one-piece element is attached to a pair of straps to form a sternal or dorsal suspension point, the first direction being perpendicular to a sagittal plane of the harness.

Description détailléedetailed description

As illustrated in figure 1 , a harness 1 has at least one suspension point, a pair of thigh loops 3 and possibly a belt 2. The harness 1 can be configured to be associated with a pair of suspenders 4 mounted removably or irremovable with the belt 2 According to the embodiments, the harness has a pair of suspenders 4 or does not have a pair of suspenders
According to the embodiments, the suspension point can be a ventral suspension point illustrated in figures 1 to 8 , a lateral suspension point illustrated in figure 8 , a back suspension point illustrated in figure 9 or a sternal suspension point illustrated in the figure 10 .
The ventral suspension point and the lateral suspension point are advantageously fixed directly to the belt 2 of the harness 1. The sternal suspension point and the dorsal suspension point are fixed directly to the pair of shoulder straps 4. The harness can include a point suspension or several different ellipsis. The suspension points can be made in different ways on the same harness.

The suspension point comprises first and second separate rings 5a and 5b. The suspension point also comprises a connecting element 6 fixed continuously to the first and second separate rings 5a / 5b. The connecting element 6 mechanically connects the first and second separate rings 5a and 5b with the pair of thigh loops 3. The connecting element 6 provides the mechanical connection between the pair of thigh loops 3 and the first and second rings 5a and 5b. In this way, when the user is suspended in his harness, the weight of the user is supported at least partially by the thigh loops 3 which are connected to the first and second separate rings 5a and 5b via the connecting element 6.

The suspension point also includes a closed connector 7 provided with a rod 8. The connector 7 is advantageously a metal connector. The connector 7 is intended to secure various tools 9, 9 'and 9 "with the harness. In the embodiment illustrated in figures 1 and 2 , the different tools are separated so as not to come into contact. In the embodiment of the figure 3 , two tools 9 and 9 'are installed in the same ring of connector 7.

As indicated above, the first and second rings 5a and 5b are distinct and, more particularly, they are spaced from each other by a first distance in a first direction. The first and second rings 5a and 5b advantageously define an empty space between a first lateral face of the first ring 5a and a second lateral face of the second ring 5b.

The first and second rings 5a and 5b are configured to allow the insertion of a connector 7 inside each of the first and second rings 5a and 5b. The connector 7 passes through the two rings in order to be secured to the harness under the best safety conditions. The first and second rings 5a and 5b are configured so that the connector 7 can move in rotation relative to the belt 2. The axis of rotation AA is parallel to the first direction or substantially parallel to the first direction. In this way, the connector 7 is secured to the harness and it can move in rotation in order to ensure good user comfort.

The first and second rings 5a and 5b are arranged so as to allow the introduction of the rod 8 of the connector 7 in the first and second rings 5a and 5b. The rod 8 has a longitudinal axis coincident with the first direction. The rod 8 is mounted mobile in rotation in the first and second rings 5a and 5b and the connector 7 is mounted mobile in rotation around the rod 8. The axis of rotation of the connector 7 is formed by the rod 8. In this way , the suspension point has a connector 7 which can move in rotation inside the first and second rings 5a and 5b. The rod 8 and the connector 7 are mounted so as to be able to rotate about the longitudinal axis of the rod 8. The rod 8 is advantageously a long element of circular section. According to the embodiments, the rod 8 is monolithic with the rest of the connector 7 or it can be removed from the connector 7.

The connecting element 6 which connects the two rings 5a and 5b makes it possible to mechanically connect the two rings to each other and to the other elements constituting the harness, for example the belt 2 or the shoulder straps 4. The connecting element 6 makes it possible to define the maximum distance which separates the two rings in the first direction, in particular in the absence of connector 7 inside the two rings 5a and 5b. The connecting element 6 also makes it possible to limit the displacements of the two rings 5a and 5b relative to one another in the other directions.

The connecting element 6 continuously connects the first ring 5a with the second ring 5b in order to form a mechanical connection parallel to the mechanical connection formed by the connector 7. This mechanical connection makes it possible to prevent the appearance of sets of different stresses between the two rings 5a and 5b coming from the other components of the harness.

De manière avantageuse, le connecteur 7 est configuré pour ne pas appliquer des contraintes simultanées sur les deux faces externes opposées des deux anneaux 5a et 5b selon la première direction et dirigées vers l'espace situé entre les deux anneaux 5a et 5b.Advantageously, the connector 7 is configured not to apply simultaneous stresses on the two opposite external faces of the two rings 5a and 5b in the first direction and directed towards the space situated between the two rings 5a and 5b.

The connector 7 does not intervene in the closing of the harness. The rotation of the connector 7 is more difficult or even impossible under certain conditions. The axis of rotation of the connector is not formed by the rod but by the opposite side walls of the ring defined in the connector.

Il est alors possible d'enlever le connecteur 7 sans modifier le réglage de la ceinture 2.The harness 1 also includes means for adjusting the circumference of the belt 2 which are configured to modulate the length of the belt 2 and adapt to the morphology of the user. The adjustment means and the belt closure means 2 are advantageously dissociated from the connector 7. It is then possible to remove the connector 7 without modifying the adjustment of the belt 2.

Advantageously, the connecting element 6 is different from any means for closing the harness. Indeed, when the connecting element 6 forms the closing means of the harness, the opening of the harness generally results in disassembly of the connector 7 which complicates the use of the harness.

According to the embodiments, the connecting element 6 can be a textile element, for example a strap, a plastic material which can be in the form of a plate or a metallic element which can also be in the form of a 'a plate.

As indicated above, the first and second rings 5a and 5b are advantageously made of textile material or metallic material. To facilitate the production of the connector 7, it is advantageous to form the rings 5a / 5b and the connecting element 6 in a textile material or in metallic material.

In a particular embodiment, the two rings 5a and 5b and advantageously the connecting element 6 define a through cavity allowing the insertion of a tool 9 inside the through cavity so that the tool 9 makes the turn of the rod 8. The assembly is arranged so that the tool 9 can rotate around the rod 8 independently of the connector 7.

L'outil 9 peut également tourner indépendamment du connecteur 7 et indépendamment du harnais 1.This configuration allows independent rotation of the connector 7 relative to the harness and / or relative to the tool 9 even when the user is suspended in his harness by means of the tool 9. The tool 9 can also rotate independently of the connector 7 and independently of harness 1.

Depending on the configuration, the tool 9 can be a textile element or a metallic element. Other materials are also possible. Tool 9 can define a loop in a textile element, a metal loop or an opening in a metal element.

In another embodiment, the two rings 5a and 5b and the connecting element 6 define a through groove allowing access to the rod 8 between the two rings 5a and 5b. The rod 8 being accessible, it is possible to install a tool 9 which goes around the rod 8. The assembly is arranged so that the tool 9 can rotate around the rod 8 independently of the connector 7 and of the harness 1 Similarly, the connector 7 can rotate independently of the harness 1 and of the tool 9. What is said for the tool 9 can also be applied to the additional tool 9 'or 9 ".

The two loops 5a and 5b are separated from each other by a space which makes it possible to fix a tool 9 on the rod 8 of the connector 7 between the two loops 5a and 5b. The tool 9 is not able to move over the entire circumference of the connector 7 because it is blocked by the two loops 5a and 5b.

This configuration is particularly advantageous since the rod 8 provides the mechanical connection between the harness 1 and an external element, for example a rope or an anchor point. Thus, a tool 9 can be fixed to the rod 8 without this preventing the rotation of the tool 9 relative to the connector 7 and without this preventing the rotation of the tool 9 relative to the harness.

All these configurations allow the user to tension the rod 8 of the connector 7 mounted in the rings 5a and 5b of the harness and to rotate the connector 7 in order to add an additional tool 9 ', 9 "in addition to the 'tool 9. The additional tool 9' and / or 9 "cannot come into contact with the tool 9 because they are separated by the first and second rings 5a and 5b.

Comme illustré à la figure 1, il est également possible d'ajouter un deuxième outil additionnel 9" au connecteur 7.The tool 9 can be mounted around the rod 8 while the additional tool 9 'and / or 9 "can be fixed to another part of the connector 7, that is to say outside the axis of rotation of the connector 7 formed by the rod 8. The reverse configuration is also possible. As illustrated in figure 1 , it is also possible to add a second additional 9 "tool to connector 7.

When the additional tool 9 'and / or 9 "is turned on, it is easy to access the tool 9 because it can move easily in rotation and it is locked between the two rings 5a and 5b. The use of the connector 7 under load is thus improved.

The rod 8 can rotate on it in the two rings 5a and 5b. It is particularly advantageous to provide a rod 8 which is rectilinear in each of the rings 5a and 5b and advantageously rectilinear between the two rings.

En alternative, la tige 8 peut être montée inamovible du reste connecteur 7 et avantageusement inamovible des premier et deuxième anneaux 5a et 5b.In a first embodiment, the rod 8 is removably mounted from the rest of the connector, which makes it possible to separate the rest of the connector in order to more easily attach a tool to it. Alternatively, the rod 8 can be mounted irremovable from the rest of the connector 7 and advantageously irremovable from the first and second rings 5a and 5b.

In a second embodiment which can be combined with the previous one, the rod 8 is removably mounted with at least one of the first and second rings 5a and 5b, which facilitates the use of the connector 7.

If the connector 7 is removably mounted relative to the rings 5a and 5b, it is particularly advantageous to provide that the rings 5a and 5b are fixedly mounted on the connecting element and that the rod 8 can be removed to install or remove the connector 7. It is also possible to provide rings 5a and 5b mounted fixed on the connecting element and a connector mounted fixed in the rings 5a and 5b.

The first and second rings 5a and 5b can have any shape. In the illustrated embodiments, the first and second rings extend perpendicular or substantially perpendicular to the surface of the connecting element 6. However, other configurations are possible.

In the illustrated embodiments, the two rings 5a / 5b have a constant thickness. The thickness is measured in the first direction.

In the illustrated embodiments, the two rings have a constant spacing at all points, the spacing being measured in the first direction. This configuration is particularly advantageous because it allows the two rings to work in the same way. It is even more advantageous to have two rings with the same mechanical performance, for example the two rings are made of the same material and with the same width and the same thickness. This configuration allows better operation of the connector 7 relative to the harness.

To facilitate the rotation of the tool 9 relative to the connector 7, it is particularly advantageous to provide that the two rings 5a and 5b do not overlap. An overlap will result in an extra thickness which will induce an irregular displacement of the tool 9 around the rod 8.

According to the configurations, the first and second rings 5a and 5b can advantageously be produced in textile materials or in metallic materials. However, nothing prohibits the use of other materials to form the two rings 5a and 5b.

In a particular embodiment, the first and second rings 5a and 5b are formed by textile loops. In this configuration, it is advantageous to fix the two rings 5a and 5b to a connecting element 6 which is made of textile material or of polymer material. Such an embodiment makes it possible to form a ventral or lateral suspension point by fixing the first and second rings 5a and 5b to the belt 2 which advantageously forms the connecting element 6. Alternatively, the two rings 5a / 5b are fixed to the connecting element 6 which is itself fixed to the belt 2. In another embodiment, the two rings 5a / 5b are fixed to the connecting element 6 which is fixed to the straps 4 so as to form a sternal suspension point or a dorsal suspension point.

In a ventral, sternal or dorsal suspension point, the first direction is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the belt 2. In conventional use, the user resting on his two feet, the first direction is horizontal. For a lateral suspension point, the first direction is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the belt 2. In conventional use, the user resting on his two feet, the first direction is vertical.

In a particular embodiment, the two rings 5a and 5b are formed by one or more straps which are fixed to the connecting element 6 or by one or more cords which are fixed to the connecting element 6. When the loops 5a and 5b are formed by flexible elements this provides a certain comfort during the tensioning of the harness 1 because there is no hard point on the connecting element 6.

In certain embodiments, the rod 8 can also move relative to the connecting element 6 by moving inside the two rings 5a and 5b. Alternatively, the rod 8 is fixed in the two rings 5a and 5b and only a rotation is possible with possibly a displacement in translation in the first direction.

Le déplacement de la tige 8 peut être réalisé selon l'axe longitudinal de l'élément de liaison 6 et/ou perpendiculairement à l'axe longitudinal de l'élément de liaison 6.In another embodiment which can be combined with the previous one, the rod 8 can also move relative to the connecting element 6 during the movement of the two rings 5a and 5b when the latter can be deformed. The rod 8 can be displaced along the longitudinal axis of the connecting element 6 and / or perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the connecting element 6.

According to the invention and illustrated in figure 5 , the first ring 5a is associated with a first adapter 10a. The first ring 5a surrounds the first adapter 10a which defines a passage orifice for the rod 8. The passage orifice is configured to impose the position of the rod 8 of the connector 7 inside the first ring 5a and the position of the connector 7 relative to the belt 2. Preferably, the first adapter 10a energizes the first ring 5a by defining its shape, that is to say its opening allowing the passage of the rod 8. The adapter 10a is advantageously configured to block a movement of the rod 8 perpendicular to the first direction which facilitates the use of the connector 7 under load.
In a particularly advantageous manner, the second ring 5b also surrounds a second adapter 10b defining a passage orifice which is configured to impose the position of the rod 8 of the connector 7 inside the second ring 5b. The adapter 10b is advantageously configured to block a movement of the rod 8 perpendicular to the first direction, which facilitates the use of the connector 7 under load.
By means of the adapters 10a and 10b, the rotation of the connector 7 inside the rings 5a and 5b can be done without direct contact with the materials forming the loops which makes it possible to avoid accelerated wear of the two rings 5a and 5b. Preferably, the second adapter 10b puts under tension the ring 5b by defining its shape, that is to say its opening allowing the passage of the rod 8.

It is particularly advantageous to provide that the first adapter 10a and the second adapter 10b are part of the same monolithic part. In this way, the two orifices defined by the first and second adapters 10a and 10b are mechanically secured which allows better movement of the connector 7 relative to the belt 2 and better work of the two rings 5a and 5b when they are under constraint. The two orifices are advantageously aligned in order to allow the introduction of the rod 8 into the two orifices without forcing. This embodiment makes it possible to reduce the risks of improper introduction of the rod 8 of the connector 7 into only one of the rings 5a / 5b. It is then possible to reduce the size of the loops in order to limit the size and size of the connector 7. The two adapters 10a and 10b make it possible to better constrain the position of the two loops at any point.

In a preferred embodiment, the first adapter 10a, the second adapter 10b or the two adapters are configured to cooperate with the connector 7 in order to prevent it from turning beyond a threshold position and prevent the connector 7 from entering in contact with the user's abdomen for a ventral suspension point or another part of the body for a lateral, sternal or dorsal suspension point.

In an advantageous embodiment, the first adapter 10a and / or the second adapter 10b comprise a stop which is arranged to come into contact with the connector 7 when the latter reaches a threshold value.

The connector 7 defines a ring, for example in the form of a D and it has two sections which intersect the axis of rotation of the rod 8. It is particularly advantageous that the first adapter 10a and / or the second adapter 10b form a stop which comes into contact with at least one of these sections to prevent the connector 7 from exceeding the threshold position. In other words, the stop is advantageously configured to prevent the connector 7 from rising too close to the body of the user, that is to say that it rotates to be oriented in the direction of the head of the user, or even his shoulders or more particularly the user's spine for a ventral or sternal suspension point.

A ce moment, un déplacement du connecteur 7 est éventuellement possible en déplaçant les anneaux 5a et 5b par rapport à la ceinture 2.In this way, the adapter 10a / 10b does not hinder the rotation of the connector 7 relative to the belt 2 until the connector 7 abuts against the adapter 10a / 10b. At this time, a movement of the connector 7 is possibly possible by moving the rings 5a and 5b relative to the belt 2.

La section externe de l'adaptateur 10a/10b est définie par la paroi externe de l'adaptateur qui vient en contact de la paroi interne de l'anneau 5a/5b.In a particularly advantageous manner, the external section of the adapter 10a / 10b comprises anti-rotation means which are configured to prevent the rotation of the adapter 10a / 10b relative to the ring 5a / 5b. The external section of the adapter 10a / 10b is defined by the external wall of the adapter which comes into contact with the internal wall of the ring 5a / 5b.

The anti-rotation means make it possible to prevent rotations of the adapters 10a / 10b relative to the rings 5a / 5b when the connector 7 abuts on the adapter. This makes it possible for example to limit the discomfort of the user when the adapter presses on the belt 2. The anti-rotation means can be produced in any suitable manner, for example by fixing the adapter 10a / 10b on the 'ring 5a / 5b and in particular by sewing. However, it is also possible to provide that the adapter 10a / 10b is devoid of a parallel axis of symmetry or coincides with the axis of rotation of the connector 7 so that the rotation of the adapter is difficult or even impossible. In the illustrated embodiment, the section of the adapter is maximum in the area receiving the rod 8 and minimum in the area in the immediate vicinity of the belt 2.

The adapter 10a / 10b can be made of any suitable material. Advantageously, the adapter is made of non-brittle plastic material, for example polyamide or polypropylene. However, it is advantageous to make the adapter 10a / 10b from polymer material because the adapter does not undergo any strong mechanical stress. The mechanical strength during the suspension of the user in the harness 1 is ensured by the first and second rings 5a / 5b made of textile elements. The realization of the adapter 10a / 10b in polymer material makes it possible to reduce the weight of the adapter while ensuring the desired functionality. The use of a polymer material also allows the adapter to be produced simply without the risk of weakening the associated loop. The rotation of the rod 8 can be carried out without risk of embrittlement of the rod 8 and without risk of embrittlement of the rings 5a / 5b.

It is particularly advantageous to provide that the axis of rotation of the first and second 5a and 5b is parallel or substantially parallel to the axis of rotation of the rod 8.

In a particular embodiment illustrated on the figures 1 , 2 and 3 in connection with a ventral suspension point, the first and second rings are formed by a textile element which passes on each side of the connecting element 6, here on each side of the belt 2 and which forms a loop. By forming a ring of textile material, it is possible to make a solid mechanical connection and with a limited weight. The connection is flexible which brings a certain comfort of use. It also appears that a textile connection is simple to make and almost without additional cost. Alternatively, the rings 5a and 5b can be formed by two pieces of the textile element arranged on the same side of the connecting element, here of the belt 2, and preferably on the external face of the belt 2 to limit the risks of discomfort.

It is possible to use such an embodiment to form a sternal or dorsal suspension point by using a textile element which passes on each side of the connection element 6, or on one side of the connection element 6 and preferably on the external face.

It is particularly advantageous to provide that the two rings extend beyond the connecting element 6 and in particular of the belt 2 in order to reduce the forces applied to the belt 2 and which can turn into hard spots and user discomfort.

In the case of a ventral suspension point, it is advantageous to provide that the first and second rings 5a / 5b are formed by textile elements which also serve to form the first and second leg loops 3. In this way, the distribution of forces is better distributed and the production of harness 1 is facilitated.

When the adapter 10a / 10b is used and when the rod 8 of the connector 7 is located at a distance from the belt 2, it is advantageous to provide that the adapter 10a / 10b defines a groove for placing the tool 9. This the groove is advantageously configured so that the tool 9 does not come into direct contact with the user and for example with the user's abdomen. This precaution allows improved use of the tool 9 and avoids accelerated wear of the tool 9 or the user's clothing each time the tool 9 is rotated around the rod 8. The groove is arranged between the rings 5a and 5b and its internal wall can be defined by the adapter and / or the connecting element 6.

Alternatively, the adapter can be configured to enclose the rod 8 between the two rings 5a / 5b. The tool 9 then rotates around the rod 8 in contact with the adapter 10.
In another embodiment, the first and second rings 5a and 5b are formed by metal rings.
As for the rings made of textile material, it is possible to use an adapter 10a / 10b such as that described above.

According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, the first and second rings 5a / 5b and the connecting element 6 are formed by a metal element which is advantageously a non-removable one-piece element. The two rings 5a / 5b and the connecting element 6 are part of a single piece which defines the two rings 5a / 5b and the connecting element 6. In this configuration, the two rings are fixed one relative to each other in all directions. This configuration is particularly advantageous because it is easier to carry out and it makes it possible to dispense with additional fastening systems which represents possibly costly additional technological steps and observation points to be followed in order to judge the wear of the harness. This metal element advantageously comprises one or more slots which allow its attachment to the harness by means of one or more straps. In the embodiment illustrated in figure 7 , the connecting element comprises two inclined slots which are configured to deviate from the first and second straps forming the belt 2 in order to initiate first and second thigh loops 3. The harness 1 comprises first and second rings 5a and 5b which are positioned on the belt 2, preferably on the ventral part of the belt 2. The ventral suspension point makes it possible to deflect the strap which forms the belt 2 to form at least one leg loop 3.

However, such a connecting element 6 can also be used in order to connect the rings 5a and 5b and the connector 7 with the shoulder straps of the harness and define a point of sternal or dorsal suspension.

It is still possible to use such an embodiment to form a lateral suspension point.

It is particularly advantageous to provide that the first and second rings 5a and 5b are loops oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the belt 2 to form a ventral suspension point, that is to say that the rings 5a and 5b extend in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the belt 2. Alternatively, the first and second rings 5a and 5b can deviate from the perpendicular direction. Under tension, the two rings tend to move relative to the harness, which makes rotation of the connector more difficult. The deviation from the perpendicular direction is advantageously equal to 45 °. In this case, the rings move along the longitudinal axis when the connector 7 is energized. In this way, the axis of rotation of the connector 7 can rotate inside the two loops 5a / 5b in order to allow a rotational movement of the connector 7 relative to the belt 2 of the harness.

Il est possible d'installer plusieurs outils additionnels 9', 9" dans le connecteur 7.By tool 9 or additional tool 9 'and / or 9 "is meant for example a lanyard with or without absorber, a mobile fall arrester, a cam descender, a rope blocker, a rope, a strap, a carabiner, a quick link, a shackle and / or a swivel and generally any metal connector which can open, however, it is particularly advantageous to provide that the tool 9 is a strap or a rope ensuring the function of lanyard with or without absorber. The additional 9 'and / or 9 "tool is advantageously a mobile fall arrester, a cam descender, a rope blocker, a rope, a strap, a carabiner, a quick link, a shackle and / or a swivel. It is possible to install several additional tools 9 ', 9 "in connector 7.

According to the embodiments, the loop of the tool 9 surrounding the rod 8 can be a fixed loop.

It is possible to provide that the tool 9 or the additional tool 9 'and / or 9 "have a metal loop which cannot open. It is then necessary to provide that the connector 7 can open, for example disassemble, in order to authorize the assembly and disassembly of the connector 7 and the introduction of the tool 9 and / or of the additional tool 9 'and / or 9 "between the two rings 5a and 5b and around the rod 8 of connector 7 and / or in the ring defined by connector 7.

For example, a rope progression accessory such as a descender or a blocker can be attached inside the connector 7 to support the user during his professional or sporting activity.

As indicated above, several embodiments of the connector 7 can be envisaged. The connector 7 can have any shape which constitutes a closed contour. In a particular case, the rod 8 makes it possible to close the contour. In this case, this makes it possible to fix a progression accessory on a rope in the connector 7 without the need to use an intermediate connection element. Alternatively, the connector 7 can define a closed contour which is not defined by means of the rod 8. The rod 8 is then spaced from the closed contour.

En alternative, la tige 8 peut être démontable par rapport au reste du connecteur 7.The rod 8 can be in one piece with the rest of the connector 7. This makes it easier to produce the connector 7 and the risks of improper handling are reduced. Alternatively, the rod 8 can be removable relative to the rest of the connector 7.

The rod 8 and the rest of the connector 7 can be movable relative to each other. In particular, the connector 7 can move in rotation without causing the rod 8 to rotate. The reverse can also be true. The connector 7 can be movable in rotation around the rod 8 with a longitudinal axis AA. As a variant, the connector 7 can be fixed to the rod 8 and the assembly can be movable in rotation relative to the harness.

In a particularly advantageous embodiment and illustrated in the different figures, the connector 7 comprises a first part 11 defining a closed contour or an open contour. The first part 11 is mounted movable in rotation relative to the harness 1 around the axis AA of the rod 8 as illustrated in the figures 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 and 5 . The connector 7 also comprises a second part 12 defining a closed outline or an open outline and mounted movable in rotation about a second axis parallel to the axis AA. The second part 12 is mounted movable in rotation relative to the first part 11 around the second axis.

Thus, by separating the first part 11 with the rod 8, it is possible to introduce an additional tool 9 'and / or 9 "to the 'interior of the first part, when the additional tool 9' and / or 9 "has an orifice allowing the introduction of the first part 11. It can advantageously be the same for the second part 12.

By form of C, it is meant that the first part 11 and / or the second part 12 do not define a closed contour, and that it is possible to place a progression accessory on a rope on the first part 11 and on the second part 12 without using a carabiner or quick link. The closed contour is produced in cooperation with the associated rotation rod.

The first part 11 and / or the second part 12 may very well have a shape of U, M, V, W, or any shape that is not a closed contour. However, once the first and second parts 11 and 12 are mounted in the connector 7, two closed contours are formed by means of the first and second parts 11 and 12 and the associated fixing rod, for example the rod 8 in the figures. .

However, it is particularly advantageous to provide that at least the first part 11 or the second part 12 defines an open contour in order to facilitate the connection of the tools and their use in the connector 7.

The connector 7 is arranged on the harness 1 so that the first part 11 is configured to be placed against the belt 2 or the user in the direction of the pair of leg loops 3, while the second part 12 is configured to be placed against the belt 2 or the user, in the direction of the pair of suspenders 4. The positions of the first and second parts 11 and 12 can however be reversed without this modifying the general operation of the harness 1.

According to a first embodiment, the second axis of rotation of the second part 12 can be different from the axis AA of rotation of the first part 11. This means for example that the connector 7 can comprise an additional rod (not shown) , and which can be separated from the first and second parts 11 and 12 in order to place a progression accessory on a rope on the second part 12. This embodiment is however less advantageous since the space requirement of the connector 7 is greater than that single axis 7 which simultaneously connects the first part 11 with the belt 2 and the second part 12.

Cette précaution permet d'augmenter la durée de vie des premier et deuxième anneaux 5a et 5b.Advantageously, when the first element 11 defines a closed contour, the rod 8 defines an additional hole with the outer edge of this closed contour used to cooperate with the additional tools 9. The first and second rings 5a and 5b can pass through the additional hole without passing into the closed contour used for the additional tools 9. The closed contour of the connector 7 protects the first and second rings 5a and 5b from possible shocks caused by the additional tools 9 in the connection ring. This precaution makes it possible to increase the life of the first and second rings 5a and 5b.

According to the embodiment illustrated in the Figures 1 to 5 and described below, the second axis of rotation coincides with the longitudinal axis AA, which means that the second part 12 is mounted so as to be able to rotate relative to the belt 2 around the rod 8.

For the connector 7 to be as functional as possible, it is advantageous to use first and second parts 11 and 12 which have specific three-dimensional shapes.

The first part 11 can be a flat part, that is to say that the extreme peripheral zone of the part 11 is contained in a plane and / or that the internal peripheral zone of the closed contour defined in the first part 11 is contained in a plan. The connectors of the prior art are curved outwards at their distal part which can be unpleasant for the user because the curved part can come into contact with the abdomen.

It is advantageous to keep a plane connection ring and to offset the axis AA from this plane. The axis AA can advantageously be offset against the body of the user when the first part 11 is oriented towards the side of the thigh turns 3, that is to say the part farthest from the axis of rotation.

3).In other words, the edge of the closed contour defining the connection ring of the first part 11 is contained in a first planar area of the first part 11, so as to define a first plane P1. The rod 8 can advantageously be eccentric with respect to this first plane P1 (cf. fig. 3 ).

The first and second parts 11 and 12 are movable in rotation around the rod 8. It is particularly advantageous to provide that the zones for fixing the first part 11 with the rod 8 are separated by the two zones for fixing the second part. 12 with the rod 8 as shown in the Figures 1 to 5 . It is particularly advantageous to provide that the second part 12 is narrower than the first part 11 along the longitudinal axis of the rod 8.

As an alternative, it is also possible to provide that the attachment zones of the second part 12 with the rod 8 are separated by the attachment zones of the first part 11 with the rod 8. An alternation between the attachment zones of the first and second parts 11 and 12 along the rod 8 is preferably to be avoided because the forces in the first and second parts 11 and 12 are less well distributed when the two parts are folded over one another.

Le mode de réalisation illustré sur les figures est néanmoins préféré car il permet de limiter le repli de la première pièce 11 sur la deuxième pièce 12.The embodiment illustrated in the figures is nevertheless preferred since it makes it possible to limit the folding of the first part 11 onto the second part 12.

According to the preferred embodiment illustrated in the Figures 1 to 5 , the first part 11 comprises a first bent zone 11b connecting the connection ring 11a with the rod 8. In side view, the first part 11 may have an L shape, and be connected to the rod 8 at the level of the 'one of the ends of the L. The connection ring 11a defining the closed loop is therefore a flat zone and corresponds to a branch of the L, while the other branch of the L is included in the first bent zone 11b. The foreground P1 can correspond to any plane passing inside the first part 11 and parallel to the edges of the connection ring 11a.

Thus, when a vertical force is applied in the connection ring 11a, the distal part of the first part 11 is slightly offset from the abdomen of the user which avoids discomfort.

In the same way, it may be advantageous to reproduce this particular shape with the second part 12. The axis AA is advantageously offset against the belt 2, when the C-shaped part is oriented towards the shoulders of the user.

La tige 8 peut avantageusement être excentrée par rapport à ce deuxième plan P2.The C-shaped distal part of the second part 12 is contained in a second planar zone 12a of the part, so as to define a second plane P2. The rod 8 can advantageously be eccentric with respect to this second plane P2.

Since the second part 12 is movable in rotation around the rod 8, it follows that the second part 12 may comprise a second bent zone 12b connecting the closed contour to the rod 8. According to a cutting plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the rod 8, the second part 12 may have an L shape, and be connected to the rod 8 at one of the ends of the L. The second flat area 12a therefore corresponds to a branch of the L, while that the other branch of the L is included in the second bent zone 12b. The second plane P2 can correspond to any plane passing inside the second part 12 and parallel to the edges of the second plane zone 12a.

Par exemple, la première pièce 11 peut entourer la deuxième pièce 12 au niveau de l'axe AA.As indicated above, to facilitate the positioning of the various parts making up the connector 7, one of the parts may be wider than the other along the axis AA, so as to surround the smallest part. For example, the first part 11 can surround the second part 12 at the level of the axis AA.

Cela signifie que la première pièce 11 entoure la deuxième pièce 12.For this, the first part 11 may include first and second attachment means 11c and 11d placed in the fixing zones of the first part, and configured to allow the passage of the rod 8. The first and second attachment means 11c and 11d are advantageously separated by a first distance L1 along the axis AA. The second part 12 may also include third and fourth attachment means 12c and 12d placed in the attachment zones of the second part, and configured to allow the passage of the rod 8. The third and fourth attachment means 12c and 12d are advantageously separated by a second distance L2 along the axis AA which is less than the distance L1. In this way, the third and fourth attachment means 12c and 12d are advantageously located between the first and second attachment means 11c and 11d. This means that the first part 11 surrounds the second part 12.

The attachment means may, for example, be annular elements or clips, and advantageously of section slightly greater than the diameter of the rod 8 so as to facilitate the rotation of the first and second parts 11 and 12 on the rod 8. By slightly greater, it is understood that the diameter of the annular elements or of the clips is approximately 0.1 mm larger than the diameter of the rod 8.

Structurally, it is preferable that the first and second parts 11 and 12 are mounted without functional play along the axis AA, so that the parts cannot translate relative to one another. The first and second parts 11 and 12 can therefore only be movable in rotation relative to one another.

4).To prevent any lateral movement of the first and second parts 11 and 12 along the rod 8, the latter may include first and second recesses 8a and 8b which cooperate with locking rods 13a and 13b which are inserted in the connector 7 (cf. fig. 4 ).

The first and second locking rods 13a and 13b are advantageously of tubular or cylindrical shape and can for example be screws, rivets, or nails. The width of the first and second recesses 8a and 8b along the axis AA is slightly greater than the diameter of the first and second locking rods 13a and 13b, so that the fixing means can be inserted in the recesses 8a and 8b .

According to the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the first and second locking rods 13a and 13b are inserted into first and second holes 11e and 11f of the first part. Alternatively, the first and second holes could be located on the second part 12. A combination of these embodiments is also possible with possibly a greater number of locking rods, for example 2, 3 or 4.

The position of the first and second holes 11e and 11f can be chosen so that the axes of the first and second locking rods 13a and 13b are intersecting or not with the axis AA. If the axes of the first and second locking rods 13a and 13b intersect with the axis AA, their ends are placed in the recesses but not necessarily in abutment. On the other hand, if the axes of the first and second locking rods 13a and 13b are not intersecting with the axis AA, then the latter tangent the rod 8 at the level of the recesses 8a and 8b, so as to allow the parts 11 and 12 to rotate along the axis AA, but not their translation.

In the particular embodiment illustrated in the figures, the first and second holes 11e and 11f open onto the attachment means 12c and 12d, and come to tangent the rod 8 at the level of the first and second recesses 8a and 8b. This has the effect of preventing the translational movements of the first and second parts 11 and 12 when they are mounted without functional play relative to each other.

The positioning of the first and second parts 11 and 12 on the rod 8 can be carried out in two different ways. The most advantageous consists in superimposing the first and second flat areas 11a and 12a when the first and second parts 11 and 12 are folded over one another. Note, however, that the angled shape of the first and second parts 11 and 12 may prevent them from being folded down completely over one another. The edge of the connection ring 11a disposed near the axis 7 abuts against the edge of the C-shaped area 12a. The first part 11 and / or the second part 12 may include a stop which prevents the rotation of the first part 11 relative to the second part 12 beyond a threshold value.

The value of the offset between the planes P1 and P2 and the axis AA as well as the thicknesses of the first and second parts, are chosen so that the angle formed between the two parts is sufficient to allow mobility for the tools which would be installed on one or other of the parts 11 and 12. Thus, progression on the rope is facilitated because the movements of the latter are not hampered by the connection elements used by the user.

L'utilisation du descendeur a pour effet de faire pivoter la première pièce 11 vers la paire de bretelles 4.This configuration where the first and second parts are folded over each other occurs for example when the climber uses a descender attached to the first part 11. The use of the descender has the effect of pivoting the first part 11 towards the pair of straps 4.

However, to guarantee the comfort of the user, the angle formed between the first and second parts 11 and 12 when they are folded over one another must be small enough not to interfere with the user. Indeed, if the first and second parts 11 and 12 are too far apart from each other, the second part 12 could exert pressure on the user and generate discomfort.

Given the characteristic dimensions of the connector 7 and those of the rope progression accessories, the first and second parts 11 and 12 can advantageously be separated by an arc length of between 0.5 and 3 cm, the length of arc being measured with respect to the point farthest from the axis AA.

For example, if the first part 11 is larger than the second part 12, the arc length is measured between the first part and the end of the second part which is opposite to the axis AA. Conversely, if the first part 11 is smaller than the second part 12, the arc length is measured between the second part and the end of the first part which is opposite to the axis AA.

To mount a connector 7 on a harness 1 such as that which has just been described, it is first of all necessary to hang at least one progression accessory on a rope on the second part 12 or the first part 11. This allows to limit the number of carabiners or quick links attached to the connector 7, and therefore to facilitate the use of the latter by taking up less space. A tool 9 is also mounted on the rod 8 between the two rings 5a and 5b.

The first part 11, the second part 12 and the first and second rings 5a / 5b are then connected by means of the rod 8, so that the first and second rings are positioned between the rod 8 and the connection ring 11a. The connector 7 is then positioned on the ventral part of the belt 2, so as to allow its use in the context of progression on a rope.

According to the particular embodiment illustrated on the figure 4 , the rod 8 is first introduced into the first attachment means 11c of the first part 11, then into the third attachment means 12c of the second part 12. The rod 8 is then introduced into the first ring 5a , the tool 9 and the second ring 5b. The rod 8 finally passes through the fourth attachment means 12d of the second part 12 and the second attachment means 11d of the first part 11. The locking rods 13a and 13b are used in order to avoid any translation of the first and second parts 11 and 12 along the rod 8.

After mounting, it is for example possible to hang a descender on the first part 11 by means of a carabiner or a quick link. This makes it easy to alternate between using the rope blocker placed on the second part 12 and using the descender placed on the first part 11. If a blocker and a descender are positioned in this way on the connector 7, then it is preferable that the first part 11 is positioned in the direction of the pair of leg loops 3, and that the second part 12 is positioned in the direction of the pair of shoulder straps 4. This configuration is optimal in terms of comfort for the user, who is not hindered by connector 7 during its progression on the rope.

The figure 11 illustrates the assembly of the ventral suspension point with an adapter 10a / 10b. The harness has first and second rings made of textile material, here formed by two straps. First, the adapter 10a / 10b is installed inside the two rings 5a / 5b. The first room 11 and / or the second part 12 is subsequently installed outside the adapter 10a / 10b. The rod 8 is then mounted inside the through holes defined in the adapter 10a / 10b, in the first and second rings and in the first and second parts 11 and 12 so that all of these elements can rotate relative to the longitudinal axis of the rod 8.

In the illustrated embodiment, the rod 8 is blocked by means of the locking rods 13a and 13b in order to secure all the elements with the harness, here with the belt of the harness. As illustrated, during the installation of the rod, it is possible to introduce a tool 9 into the space defined by the adapter 10a / 10b so that the tool 9 is crossed by the rod 8. In this configuration , the tool 9 is secured to the rod 8 and it is blocked by the two internal side walls of the adapter 10a / 10b.

Although the figure 11 illustrates the mounting of a ventral suspension point, an identical mounting can be obtained for a lateral, sternal or dorsal suspension point.
