Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a security strip and a method for securing goods to be transported.
  • elastic or non-elastic securing means for example tapes (e.g. rubber bands), leashes, belts, wrapping foil, adhesive tapes or the like to secure transport goods, in order to combine the goods to be transported, for example, into larger transport units or around them on a means of transport or to tie it to a transport document, for example a Euro pallet.
  • an elastic conveyor belt designed as a loop is known, which can be stretched around the goods to secure them.
  • U.S. 3,841,477 a plastic container with a bottom surface and foldably connected side surfaces is known.
  • Packagings are arranged on the bottom surface and secured laterally by folding up the side surfaces, a strap being stretched around the plastic container and the packagings arranged therein for further securing.
  • the document U.S. 3,537,599 discloses U-shaped support frames with which an elongated flexible transport item is supported and shaped into a substantially rectangular bundle.
  • the document EP 0 608 038 A1 discloses a belt that wraps around a transport belt to be secured can be stretched.
  • the document U.S. 1,630,888 discloses a securing strip for tying elongate objects together in a bundle.
  • the document U.S. 3,413,689 relates to a packaging tape made of corrugated cardboard for wrapping sheet-like material.
  • the disadvantage of the known securing means is that simple and effective securing is only possible if the goods to be transported are easily accessible from all sides, which is not always the case, however.
  • U.S. 6,311,371 a metal strip to be pushed under a pallet, along which a safety strap is guided, which is used to secure goods to be transported on the pallet.
  • a securing strip for securing a transport item, which or which enables simple and effective securing in the case of poor accessibility of the transport item to be secured.
  • This object is achieved by a security strip according to claim 1, by a kit according to claim 12, by the use according to claim 13 and by the method according to claim 15.
  • Advantageous embodiments are described in the subclaims.
  • the security strip according to the invention is designed in the form of a strip. This means that it has a significantly greater extent in its longitudinal direction than in its transverse direction. Furthermore, the securing strip is designed to be sufficiently pressure-resistant in the longitudinal direction, so that a leading longitudinal end can be displaced by the action of force in the longitudinal direction on a trailing portion of the security strip.
  • pressure-resistant describes a material property in the context of the invention, the said sufficient pressure resistance means that the leading longitudinal end of the securing strip is displaced in the longitudinal direction when a section spaced apart in the longitudinal direction from the longitudinal end, for example on the opposite longitudinal end of the securing strip, has a Force acts in the longitudinal direction.
  • the compressive strength must be designed in such a way that the desired shifting or pushing along one side of the transported goods is possible under the conditions of use.
  • the compressive strength must, for example, be sufficiently great that the strip lying on the floor can be pushed through the space between the floor and the underside of the euro pallet.
  • the present invention is based on the knowledge that goods to be transported are often not easily accessible from all sides. It is therefore often difficult to stretch a securing means around the goods to be transported in such a way that it encompasses the goods to be transported. If the goods to be transported are close to a wall, for example, it is difficult to guide a securing means in a controlled manner between the goods to be transported and the wall. This problem also arises when securing goods to be transported vertically on a transport base standing on the floor, since a transport base standing on the floor is naturally difficult to access from below. It is true that known transport documents - such as euro pallets, for example - have a gap between the support surface and the floor.
  • known securing means can only be guided through this gap and under the transported goods with great effort, for example using aids, in order to secure the transported goods in the vertical direction on the Euro pallet.
  • This is complex and not very user-friendly. It is also extremely time-consuming to lift the pallet together with the goods to be transported with a forklift or lift truck in order to then be able to stretch a securing strap vertically around the pallet and goods to be transported.
  • the present invention provides a safe and simple solution for securing goods to be transported. Since the securing strip according to the invention has sufficient compressive strength in the longitudinal direction, the securing strip can be guided along the goods to be transported in a simple manner even if accessibility is poor. In particular, due to this configuration, it is possible to push the security strip underneath a Euro pallet. The securing strip can therefore be gripped at one end and pushed along its longitudinal direction below the support surface of a Euro pallet until the other end of the securing strip emerges on the other side of the Euro pallet. In contrast to this, a rubber band, for example, does not have "sufficient compressive strength in the longitudinal direction" within the meaning of the invention.
  • the securing strip is also designed in the area of both longitudinal ends to produce a tensile connection with an elastic band, the securing strip can then be connected to the elastic band so that it, together with the elastic band, encompasses the goods to be transported and the Euro pallet arranged underneath this way the transported goods on the Euro pallet secures. Since the securing strip is also designed with sufficient tensile strength for the intended securing function of the goods to be transported, the invention can be used to achieve reliable and simple securing of goods to be transported on a Euro pallet in a user-friendly manner.
  • security strip according to the invention in cooperation with an elastic band are, for example, securing objects, goods, containers against slipping and shifting in the horizontal direction or in the vertical direction, securing goods with moving parts against movement of the moving parts relative to the goods being transported, For example, fixing of doors and / or drawers of a piece of furniture, or also the fastening of horizontal, upper edge protection angles or covering cardboard to a transport item and finally an improvement in the stability and bursting strength of high cardboard walls.
  • the security strip is made from cardboard, more preferably from corrugated cardboard. It has been shown that corrugated cardboard has sufficient stability for the present purpose and that a security strip can be produced from corrugated cardboard in a very simple manner. On the one hand, suitable corrugated cardboard has sufficient tensile strength when subjected to tensile load in the longitudinal direction, and it is also sufficiently pressure-resistant to ensure a longitudinal displacement of a trailing section of the security strip when one longitudinal end of the securing strip is displaced.
  • corrugated cardboard or cardboard generally offers the advantage that the securing strip can be folded in a simple manner after being guided along a transport item or below a euro pallet at an edge of the transport item or the euro pallet. This creates a form fit and / or friction fit between the pallet or the goods to be transported and the securing strip in the area of the kink, which causes a certain fastening of the securing strip to the goods to be transported or to the Euro pallet. This is explained in more detail below in connection with the method according to the invention for securing goods to be transported.
  • the securing strip is preferably made from double corrugated cardboard, for example double-walled corrugated cardboard of the 2.03 type with type EB corrugation, this definition being to be understood in accordance with the DIN 55468 standard.
  • This type of cardboard box offers sufficient compressive strength as well as sufficient tensile strength.
  • the corrugations of the corrugated cardboard are preferably aligned in the transverse direction of the securing strip. This facilitates bending or kinking of the securing strip about a transverse axis at the edges of the goods to be transported.
  • the security strip can also be made from other materials, in particular from plastic, for example from polyethylene, polypropylene or PVC. This configuration is particularly suitable for use in damp rooms or when the security strip is exposed to the elements.
  • the securing strip preferably has a length, that is to say an extension in the longitudinal direction, between 1000 mm and 2200 mm, preferably between 1300 mm and 1900 mm, more preferably between 1500 mm and 1700 mm.
  • a security strip of this length can easily be pushed under a Euro pallet.
  • the securing strip is sufficiently long to be bent upwards at the edges of the Euro pallet on both sides.
  • the security strip has a width, that is to say an extension in the transverse direction, between 30 mm and 400 mm.
  • the securing strip preferably has a width between 50 mm and 200 mm, more preferably between 60 mm and 100 mm, particularly preferably about 80 mm.
  • the security strip preferably also has a thickness which is between 1 mm and 25 mm, preferably between 2 mm and 15 mm, more preferably between 3 mm and 10 mm.
  • the tensile strength of a securing strip according to the invention in the longitudinal direction is preferably at least as great or greater than the tensile strength of the elastic band used; according to the invention, it is preferably at least 100 N.
  • the securing strip has at least one bending line running in the transverse direction.
  • a kink line preferably denotes an axis of the securing strip along which the securing strip is one has increased bendability and / or flexibility.
  • the security strip at least has two crease lines, the crease lines further preferably being spaced apart from one another by 800 mm and / or 1200 mm in the longitudinal direction.
  • the kink lines are further preferably arranged symmetrically with respect to a central axis of the securing strip in the longitudinal direction, the distance between the kink lines from the central axis in the longitudinal direction being 400 mm or 600 mm in each case.
  • kink lines are particularly preferably provided, two of which are spaced apart from one another by 800 mm and the other two by 1200 mm in the longitudinal direction.
  • the provision of folding lines with a distance in the longitudinal direction of 800 mm or 1200 mm is particularly advantageous when securing goods to be transported on a Euro pallet.
  • the security strip according to the invention can in this case be pushed through in the longitudinal direction or in the transverse direction below the euro pallet and positioned so that the crease lines are arranged below the edges of the euro pallet so that the security strip can be easily bent around the edges of the euro pallet.
  • the kink lines can be formed by one or more areas of lesser thickness of the securing strip and / or by a plurality of perforations in the securing strip, the areas of lesser thickness and / or the perforations preferably being arranged along the kink lines.
  • a crease line can be formed by grooves arranged along the crease line.
  • euro pallet preferably denotes a euro pool pallet in accordance with DIN EN 13698.
  • the securing strip has in each case at least one, preferably two undercut recesses in the region of both longitudinal ends for producing a tensile connection with an elastic band.
  • This design is advantageous in that a section of the elastic band in the Recesses can be inserted and then a force can be applied in the longitudinal direction of the security strip, so that this force is transmitted to the security strip.
  • a recess in the security strip can also be produced in a simple manner without further elements having to be connected to the security strip.
  • the securing strip has two undercut recesses that are essentially opposite one another in the transverse direction, the openings of which point towards the opposite longitudinal edges of the securing strip.
  • the recesses can have a longitudinal extent between 30 mm and 100 mm, preferably between 40 mm and 80 mm, more preferably between 50 mm and 60 mm.
  • the recesses can have a transverse dimension between 5 mm and 50 mm, preferably between 10 mm and 35 mm, more preferably between 15 mm and 25 mm.
  • the undercut recesses in the transverse direction weaken the dimensions of the securing strip by no more than 60%, preferably by no more than 50%.
  • the bases of the undercut recesses pointing in the longitudinal direction are preferably at a distance of 20 to 100 mm, preferably 40 to 60 mm, from the longitudinal end of the securing strip.
  • the present invention also relates to a kit comprising at least one security strip according to the invention and at least one elastic band.
  • the invention furthermore relates to the use of a kit according to the invention for securing goods to be transported, preferably for securing goods to be transported on a pallet, the securing strip more preferably encompassing the underside of the pallet base.
  • the pallet is preferably designed as a Euro pallet with a support surface arranged on the upper side of the pallet and a plurality of floor boards arranged on the underside of the Euro pallet, a gap being arranged between the support surface and the floor boards. More preferably, the securing strip is guided through the gap in the transverse direction of the Euro pallet, so that it encompasses the underside of the support surface. Due to the specific structure of a Euro pallet, the security strip is better protected against damage by forks of a forklift truck moving in the longitudinal direction of the Euro pallet when used in this way.
  • the method can be developed with the features described above in connection with the security strip according to the invention.
  • the pallet is a Euro pallet with a support surface arranged on the upper side of the pallet and a plurality of floor boards arranged on the underside of the Euro pallet, a gap being arranged between the support surface and the floor boards.
  • the first longitudinal end of the securing strip is preferably displaced in process step b) through the gap in the transverse direction of the pallet.
  • the security strip is protected from damage by forks of a forklift truck moving in the longitudinal direction of the Euro pallet.
  • a tensile strength connection is established between this bent end with the elastic band and a force is preferably exerted in the longitudinal direction of the bent part of the safety strip. Since the bent part of the Securing strip encloses an angle, for example a 90 ° angle, with the not bent part of the safety strip located in front of the edge, the non-bent part of the safety strip is pulled by this force in the area of the edge against the transported goods and is thus held in its position.
  • the elastic band can then be guided around the goods to be transported while continuously exerting a certain tensile force (preferably if the goods to be transported are flush with the corresponding outer edge of the pallet) without the securing strip being held in the area of the bent end, for example by a second person or by additional aids got to.
  • a connection can also be established on the other side of the goods to be transported. The method can thus be carried out in a simple manner by just one person and without further aids, which is a great advantage over previously known securing means.
  • the method according to the invention is particularly suitable for vertically securing a plurality of layers of items to be packaged of low height.
  • Figure 1 shows a three-dimensional schematic view of a securing strip 10 according to the invention before use for securing transport goods 11 on a pallet 12.
  • the pallet is a Euro pallet in accordance with DIN EN 13698.
  • the securing strip 10 has two longitudinal ends 22, 23, each of which has two opposite ends in the transverse direction undercut recesses 13 are arranged.
  • the recesses which in connection with the Figure 6 are described in more detail below, are used to establish a tensile strength connection with an in Figure 1 elastic band not shown.
  • the securing strip has four crease lines 17, 18, 19, 20, the crease lines 17 and 18 being spaced apart from one another by 800 mm in the longitudinal direction and the crease lines 19 and 20 being spaced apart from one another by 1200 mm in the longitudinal direction.
  • the respective pairs of folding lines are spaced approximately the same distance from the center point of the securing strip in the longitudinal direction.
  • the first longitudinal end 22 of the securing strip 10 - as indicated by the arrow 14 - can be pushed through the gap 15 below the pallet 12 in the transverse direction to the pallet 12 until it is on the opposite side of the pallet 12 stands out. This process is indicated by the dashed arrow 16. Due to the compressive strength in the longitudinal direction of the securing strip, this pushing through by a person is easily possible without aids.
  • Figure 2 shows the securing strip 10 after the first longitudinal end 22 has been pushed through the gap 15 below the pallet 12. As indicated by the arrow 21, the second longitudinal end 23 can then be bent over at one edge of the pallet 12 upwards.
  • the securing strip can be arranged relative to the pallet in such a way that the second longitudinal end 23 is bent over along the bending line 17.
  • Figure 3 illustrates the securing strip according to the invention during the production of a tensile connection between the second longitudinal end 23 and an elastic band 24.
  • the second longitudinal end 23 can be used to establish the connection as indicated in part 3A by the foot of a user in FIG be held in the bent position.
  • a section of the elastic band 24 can be inserted into the two opposing recesses 13 and a force can be applied in the longitudinal direction of the bent longitudinal end 23.
  • the securing strip 10 is held in its position in the area of the kink by a form fit or friction fit with the edge of the pallet.
  • the elastic band can therefore then simply be guided around the goods to be transported 11 while maintaining a certain tensile force until it tightly surrounds the goods to be transported.
  • the first longitudinal end 22 can then be bent over in the same way on the opposite side of the pallet 12 and connected in the same way to a further section of the elastic band 24.
  • Figure 5 shows the corresponding result of the method for securing the goods to be transported, a further securing strip 10 'and a further elastic band 24' being shown here, which are displaced in the transverse direction of the pallet 12 relative to the first securing strip and the first elastic band.
  • Figure 6 shows an enlarged view from above of a section of a securing strip 10 according to the invention, the dimensions of the securing strip being indicated in the figure for better clarity.
  • the figure shows the first longitudinal end 22 of the securing strip as well as the two opposite undercut recesses 13 arranged in the region of the first longitudinal end 22.
  • the recesses 13 have openings 25, which to the opposite, in Figure 6 have not shown second longitudinal end of the securing strip.
  • the width of the security strip is 80 mm. In the Figure 6 The total length of the security strip, not shown, is 1600 mm. In the area of the recesses 13, the width is reduced to a minimum value of 45 mm. The width of the securing strip is thus weakened by a maximum of approximately 44% in the area of the recesses 13.
  • the recesses 13 are spaced 45 mm apart from the first longitudinal end 22 in the longitudinal direction. These features ensure sufficient tensile strength in the longitudinal direction and sufficient compressive strength in the longitudinal direction also in the area of the recesses.
  • the securing strip 10 has lateral bevels 26 at the longitudinal end which enclose an approximately 45 ° angle with the transverse direction. This reduces the risk of the safety strip getting caught on obstacles when it is moved.
  • the recesses 13 have end edge surfaces 27 which are rounded.
  • the radius of the rounding is about 6 mm.
  • the end edge surfaces 27 of the recesses come into contact with the elastic band when the elastic band 24 is inserted into the recesses 13 and a force is applied in the longitudinal direction. Since the edge surfaces 27 are rounded, the force can be transmitted evenly from the elastic band 24 to the securing strip 10, while at the same time damage to the elastic band 24 through corners or edges within the recess 13 is avoided.
  • the recesses 13 also each have a hook-in area 28 opposite the end edge surfaces 27 in the longitudinal direction, the transverse extent of the recess 13 in the hook-in area 28 steadily increasing in the direction of the end edge surface 27.
  • a suspension area 28 facilitates the suspension of the elastic band 24, since a transition area is created within which the transverse extent of the recess 13 increases, so that the (in Figure 6 The elastic band 24 (not shown) can slide steadily into the recess 13 in this area as far as the edge surface 27 on the end side.
