Definitions

  • the present invention relates to the field of diving masks, and in particular the masks used for underwater hiking, also called PMT (Fins-Masque-Tuba), in English “snorkeling”.
  • the underwater hiker is equipped with a mask for vision, and a snorkel for breathing.
  • the snorkel consists of a tube whose lower end is provided with a mouth portion which is housed in the mouth of the user, and an upper end allowing both the admission of fresh air and exhaled air exhaust.
  • the document FR 2 720 050 further provides that the lower part of the visor of the mask has a slightly thinner dimpled wall in order to fulfill the function of a membrane and allow the passage of sounds in the water. Such an arrangement does not, however, make it possible to be able to communicate with other underwater hikers several meters apart, or with a person remaining on the shore, while having their head under water.
  • An object of the present invention is to provide a diving mask of the aforementioned type, allowing communication in a comfortable manner with other distant underwater hikers.
  • the invention relates to a mask according to claim 1, which includes a telecommunications device which is mounted at least in part to the breathing tube.
  • breathing tube is meant a snorkel having an open distal end.
  • the telecommunication device comprises transmitter and receiver modules, a loudspeaker and a microphone, as well as an antenna placed at the distal end of the breathing tube.
  • the breathing tube preferably extends from an upper part of the frame.
  • said breathing tube extends from a lower part of the frame or of the visor.
  • the diving mask according to the invention comprises several breathing tubes.
  • telecommunication device an electronic device which makes it possible to transmit and/or receive a signal, such as a radio signal or even ultrasound.
  • the telecommunication device uses a wireless communication technology.
  • the telecommunication device uses the “ Bluetooth® ” technology, known elsewhere, in particular in the field of computing.
  • the telecommunication device is an ultrasound technology, which makes it possible to communicate under water.
  • the telecommunication device implements both “ Bluetooth® ” technology and ultrasound technology, in order to significantly improve the listening quality of the mask when the user is completely submerged.
  • the telecommunication device is arranged to allow communication with several users at the same time.
  • An advantage of the invention is that the underwater hikers, provided with masks according to the invention, can communicate with each other remotely, this which has the effect of creating moments of pleasure and sharing during snorkeling.
  • Another advantage of the invention is that it makes it possible to practice underwater hiking with a child in a secure manner, the child remaining in constant communication with the adult, regardless of his location in the water.
  • the invention also finds an advantageous application in the coaching of underwater hikers, the instructor being able to easily give instructions to a group of hikers.
  • the hiker equipped with the diving mask according to the invention can also stay in contact and communicate with a person who has remained on the shore or on a boat.
  • the telecommunication device is mounted at least in part to the breathing tube.
  • the telecommunications device is attached at least in part to the breathing tube, in a detachable manner or not.
  • This arrangement is advantageous because it avoids cluttering the area of the mask located in front of the mouth of the user.
  • Yet another advantage is that the telecommunication device is placed close to the surface of the water, which makes it possible to facilitate the transmission and reception of the radio signal.
  • Another advantage of the invention is that the telecommunication device picks up the sounds emitted by the user through the breathing tube, following which it is not necessary to place a microphone close to the mouth of the user. the user.
  • At least one part, the first part, of the telecommunication device is placed at the proximal end of the breathing tube.
  • proximal end is meant that of the two ends of the breathing tube which is closest to the frame of the mask.
  • One advantage of this arrangement is to be able to place certain electronic components as close as possible to the user, so that the center of gravity of the mask is not shifted to the distal end of the breathing tube.
  • Another advantage is to be able to place certain components, such as a microphone for example, as close as possible to the user.
  • the telecommunications device is housed in a box which is mounted with the breathing tube, for example by clipping, or any other detachable fastening means.
  • the first part comprises a microphone and/or a loudspeaker.
  • the first part comprises a microphone which opens into the channel.
  • a proximal arrangement of the loudspeaker makes it possible to ensure listening comfort.
  • At least one part, the second part, of the telecommunication device is placed at the distal end of the breathing tube.
  • distal end is meant the end of the breathing tube which is opposite the proximal end. It is therefore the end of the breathing tube which is distant from the frame and which is generally emerged when the breathing tube is a snorkel.
  • the second part comprises an antenna
  • the antenna which promotes the transmission and reception of radio signals.
  • the second part further comprises transmitter and/or receiver modules for transmitting and/or receiving the radio signals.
  • At least one part, the third part, of the telecommunications device is mounted on the frame.
  • the third part can also be mounted to the visor.

  • the telecommunication device comprises one - preferably two - remote loudspeakers consisting of an in-ear earphone connected to the breathing tube by a flexible cable which is preferably, but not exclusively, detachable from the breathing.
  • the breathing tube forms a single piece with the frame.
  • the breathing tube is not detachable from the frame or from the visor. If necessary, it makes it possible to easily pass cables in order to connect the first or second part of the telecommunications device mounted on the breathing tube with the third part of the telecommunications device mounted on the frame or on the visor.
  • the breathing tube extends preferentially, but not exclusively, from an upper part of the frame.
  • the breathing tube is detachable from the frame, and in which the breathing tube comprises the telecommunication device.
  • the entire telecommunications device is preferably integrated into the breathing tube.
  • One advantage is to reduce the size of the mask when it is not in use. Another advantage is to be able to easily change the telecommunication device, for example in the event of a breakdown or else during a change technology, without having to change your diving mask. Yet another advantage is to be able to change the size of the mask, while keeping its breathing tube provided with the telecommunication device.
