Description

The present invention relates to a window arrangement according to the preamble of independent claim 1.

In principle, such a window arrangement is already from the prior art, and in particular from the publication DE 197 07 843 A1 known.

This prior art relates to an exterior building window, in particular perforated window, with a first window element provided in a window opening on the inside of the building, which has a floor frame fastened in the window opening and at least one window sash with a first glazing provided pivotably and/or tiltable on this floor frame. The exterior building window known from this prior art also has a second window frame provided on the outside of the building with a second glazing and with means for sound absorption provided in the space between the window elements. One of the two glazings is a multiple glazing and one glazing is formed by a pane of glass.

The publication DE 77 29 730 U1 relates to windows consisting of a sash frame and a frame and two glass panes arranged parallel to one another at a distance from each other with an air duct for the removal of room air to the outside.

The publication DE 26 18 803 A1 concerns a device for sound insulation on windows that have already been installed and the installation of an additional pane of glass.

Nowadays, life in the big city is accompanied by sometimes very loud noises in everyday life. Ports, airports, road traffic and industry are just a few of the causes of constant noise emissions, which can sometimes cause health and psychological damage to residents.

For this reason, large cities and metropolitan areas impose certain noise protection requirements for rooms in need of protection. Adequate noise protection can usually be achieved using soundproof windows.

However, since there is an emerging trend to move into residential areas that are subject to very high noise emissions (e.g. in the immediate vicinity of harbors, etc.), conventional soundproof windows are reaching their limits. The sound insulation could easily be achieved using a non-openable soundproof window with appropriate sound insulation properties. However, this prevents acoustic contact with the outside world, which in turn is necessary for the user's comfort. Ventilation cannot be achieved by tilting the window.

This is where the present invention comes into play and makes it its task to propose an improved window arrangement, in particular to propose a window arrangement with which ventilation and sound insulation can be made possible at the same time or can be improved compared to existing systems.

This object is achieved according to the invention by the subject matter of independent patent claim 1, with advantageous developments of the window arrangement according to the invention being specified in the respective dependent patent claims.

Accordingly, the invention relates to a window arrangement with a window attachment, the window attachment being equipped with a ventilation duct, the ventilation duct being formed at least in sections, preferably completely, from an acoustic absorber element arrangement. The window attachment can be attached like a window in front of the window that is to be opened.

When the window is closed, a gap is formed between the window and the window attachment, into which the ventilation duct opens.

If the window is now opened, air from the environment can flow through the ventilation duct into the interior behind the window and of course vice versa. However, since the sound has to pass through the ventilation duct, there is a reduction in sound transmission, in particular sound absorption. As a result, a window arrangement can be provided with which ventilation and sound insulation are equally possible or can be improved compared to existing systems.

According to the invention it is provided that the window attachment frame is adapted to the frame in terms of its dimensions, so that it can be attached as an attachment in front of the frame, preferably screwed. It is advantageous if the window attachment frame, for example, is flush with the inner edge of the frame, so that an almost seamless transition can result in this area.

According to the invention it is further provided that a gap is formed between the window and the window attachment, the ventilation duct having a first opening facing the ambient air and a second opening facing the gap. The gap that forms when the window or window sash is closed is connected to the ambient air on the outside of the window arrangement via the ventilation duct. As soon as the window or window sash is opened, air from the surroundings can flow via the ventilation duct into the interior of the building behind the window and of course vice versa. However, since the sound has to pass through the ventilation duct with the acoustic absorber element arrangement, there is a reduction in sound transmission, in particular sound absorption.

In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, it can be provided that the window is equipped with a parallel parking device, rotating, tilting and/or rotating-tilting device. The aforementioned devices are suitable as an advantageous opening or closing mechanism for the window in order to move the window back and forth between a closed position and a ventilation position.

In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, it can be provided that the ventilation duct has at least one deflection, in particular that the ventilation duct has at least two sections that differ in terms of their orientation with respect to the frame level, in particular that the ventilation duct has a first, third and fifth Section which are aligned substantially parallel, preferably parallel, to the frame plane and a second and fourth section which are aligned substantially perpendicularly, preferably perpendicularly, to the frame plane, the sections being attached between the openings and the first section into the first opening and the fifth section into the second opening. By having at least one deflection, it can be ensured that the sound is exposed to as many reflections as possible on its way from the outside to the inside. With every reflection, sound energy is converted into heat. Therefore, the largest possible selection of reflections helps to ensure that as much sound energy as possible is absorbed.

In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention it can be provided that the absorber element arrangement is formed from open-pored materials with high flow resistance, such as mineral wool and/or rock wool.

As far as the terms “outside” and “inside” are used here, this refers to the orientation of the component particularly towards the interior of a building or towards the outside of the building, i.e. towards the ambient air.

A window arrangement according to the invention essentially comprises a window and a window attachment.

The window 1 can be a commercially available window, essentially comprising a frame 11 and a sash frame 12. The sash frame accommodates a surface element, usually an insulating glass pane. But single glazing is also conceivable. The sash frame elements or frame elements usually include aluminum or plastic profiles, which are connected to one another using insulating profiles, usually made of plastic. But there are also other, fundamentally arbitrary, structures of the individual window profiles conceivable. Other suitable materials, such as wood, are also conceivable.

The sash 12 can be tilted, rotated, turned down and/or moved parallel to the frame 11, ultimately opening the window. For this purpose, the window is equipped with a so-called parallel parking device, rotating, tilting and/or rotating-tilting device (not shown). Ultimately, the window or window sash can be transferred from a closed position to an open position and vice versa. Other types of movement between the sash frame and the frame are also conceivable, which ultimately enable the window to be opened for ventilation purposes.

The structure of the window is well known to those skilled in the art and does not need to be discussed in more detail here.

The window attachment 2 essentially comprises a window attachment frame 21 and a surface element 22, usually also insulating glazing.

The window attachment frame 21 usually comprises four frame elements that are joined together to form a rectangular frame. The frame element as such can also be designed in several parts, i.e. made up of several profiles, preferably hollow profiles. The surface element 22 is received by the window attachment frame 21. Aluminum is preferably used as the material for the frame elements. However, other suitable materials are also conceivable, such as plastic.

Im Idealfalle ist der Fenstervorsatzrahmen 21 bündig mit der Innenkante des Blendrahmens 11.The window attachment frame 21 as such is adapted in terms of its dimensions to the frame 11, so that it can be attached as an attachment in front of the frame, preferably screwed. Ideally, the window attachment frame 21 is flush with the inner edge of the frame 11.

According to the invention, the window attachment frame 21 is equipped with a ventilation duct 24, which is formed at least in sections, preferably completely, from an acoustic absorber element arrangement 23. Further details on this result from a closer look at the window arrangement according to the invention.

As shown in the figures, the window attachment 2 is mounted in front of the window 1, in particular the window attachment frame 21 is mounted as an attachment in front of the window frame 11. When the window 1 or sash frame 12 is closed, it can be seen that there is a gap 3 between the window attachment 2, in particular the surface element 22 of the window attachment, and the window 1, in particular the sash frame 12 or its surface element 121.

In a usual assembly position, the window attachment 2 is mounted on the outside of the window 1 or the window attachment 2 forms the outside of the window arrangement.

The ventilation duct 24 has a first opening 241, which is accessible to ambient air from the outside, and a second opening 242, which faces the intermediate space 3. The ventilation duct 24 therefore opens into the gap 3. In other words, the ventilation duct 24 establishes a connection between the environment and the gap 3.

As can be seen in the figures, the ventilation duct 24 is formed over long distances by the acoustic absorber element arrangement 23, in particular by individual acoustic absorber elements. The acoustic absorber elements can, for example, be designed as insert elements in the window attachment frame 21 and preferably be connected to the window attachment frame 21 or the frame element by means of screws. However, the absorber element arrangement can also be designed as a single monolithic element.

Open-pored materials with high flow resistance, such as mineral wool and/or rock wool, are preferably used for the acoustic absorber elements or the acoustic absorber element arrangement.

The absorber elements do not have to be made entirely of these materials. Support materials are also possible. However, the areas facing the ventilation duct should be made of acoustically effective absorber materials.

The ventilation duct 24 preferably has at least one deflection. For this purpose, the ventilation duct 24 can have at least two sections that differ in terms of their orientation with respect to the frame level B. Essentially, the ventilation duct has a first, third and fifth section 243, 245, 247, which are aligned essentially parallel, preferably parallel, to the frame plane B and a second and fourth section 244, 246, which are essentially perpendicular, preferably perpendicular, are aligned with the frame level. The sections are mounted between openings 241 and 242, with the first section 243 in the first opening 241 and the fifth Section 247 opens into the second opening 242. The sections as such are arranged one behind the other in the order in which they are counted. The result is a ventilation duct 24 with several deflections. The ventilation duct could also be addressed as a ventilation duct in the manner of a labyrinth.

The result is a window arrangement that combines positive properties in terms of ventilation and sound insulation. When the window 1 or casement 12 is open, ventilation takes place via the ventilation duct 24. The sash frame 12 is, so to speak, opened towards the gap 3 that exists when the window is closed. Air can flow from the environment via the ventilation duct 24 into the interior behind the window 1 and of course vice versa. However, since the sound has to pass through the ventilation duct 24, there is a reduction in sound transmission here.

The surface element 22 of the window attachment 2 and also the frame 21 of the window attachment also have a sound-absorbing effect, so that ambient noise cannot or can only reach a significantly reduced extent into the interior due to the aforementioned components.

A ventilation grille 25 can be provided to protect against insects or larger dust particles. The ventilation grille 25 can be installed in the window attachment 2, preferably in front of the ventilation duct 24.

It is also conceivable that means are provided which are designed to reduce the ventilation cross section of the ventilation duct 24 in sections, for example by using an element that partially closes the ventilation duct 24, for example an absorber element, as shown in, for example Fig. 4 is shown. It can be seen that an absorber element is inserted in an area of the third section of the ventilation duct, which is marked with the reference number 245 '. On the other hand, the third section 245 is free in the lower area. This measure essentially serves to further improve sound insulation.

It can also be provided that the ventilation duct 24 has different cross sections in the direction of flow. This measure can also help reduce sound transmission.
