Definitions
- the present invention relates to a drain arrangement for a sanitary article, in particular for a drain surface, in particular for a shower surface, according to the preamble of claim 1.
- EP 1 229 174 Drain arrangements for shower surfaces have become known from the prior art.
- the EP 1 229 174 such a sequence arrangement.
- a siphon element is attached to a shower surface with several screws.
- the screws also serve as a storage element for a cover which can be connected to the screws.
- the cover must be removed, whereby the screws become visible to the user.
- Some users with a heightened sense of cleanliness have also started to loosen the screws in practice. This was done with the intention of cleaning other less accessible places. Loosening the screws had, depending on the assembly, sometimes very negative consequences. For example, it can happen that the siphon falls from below the shower surface and can then no longer be grasped by the user.
- the invention is based on an object of specifying a drainage arrangement which overcomes the disadvantages of the prior art.
- incorrect manipulation on the part of the user should largely or be completely excluded.
- a drain arrangement for a drainage surface accordingly comprises a drainage element with a drainage opening extending around a central axis and with at least one fastening opening, which drainage element can be arranged on the underside of the drainage surface, at least one holding element that can be arranged on the top side of the drainage surface is, and at least one fastening element which is passed through the holding element and engages in the at least one fastening opening on the drain element.
- the arrangement further comprises a cover element which can be connected to the holding element via a fixed connection, in particular via an essentially inseparable connection, the cover element covering the at least one fastening element in the connected state, the cover element being held on the holding element via at least one latching connection , wherein the locking connection comprises a locking tab and a locking recess corresponding to the locking tab, the locking tab is molded on the cover element and wherein the cover element has the locking recess, and wherein the locking tab or the locking recess are arranged on the cover element on the underside oriented towards the holding element, such as that the latching tab or the latching recess is not visible from above.
- Covering the fastening element with the cover element has the advantage that the user can no longer see the fastening element and thus cannot be tempted to remove the fastening elements.
- the fixed connection between the cover element and the holding element also ensures that the user can remove the cover element.
- a “fixed connection” or “essentially inseparable connection” between the holding element and the cover element is understood to mean that the connection is mechanically fixed, in particular not detachable when normal force is used in the course of a cleaning process.
- the cover element preferably covers the at least one fastening element essentially completely.
- the expression “essentially completely cover” or “cover” is understood to mean that the cover element covers the at least one fastening means in such a way that it cannot be seen by a user in the installed state.
- the cover element thus covers the parts of the fastening element which are not in engagement with the other elements.
- the cover element is preferably held exclusively on the holding element. The this means that the cover element does not enter into any connection with the fastening element. This does not adversely affect the fixed connection between the holding element and the cover element.
- the cover element In the installed position, the cover element preferably completely covers the parts of the fastening element that are visible from above. This means that the cover element covers all the parts of the fastening element that are visible from above.
- connection between the cover element and the holding element is preferably designed in such a way that it cannot be released non-destructively and / or only with the aid of a tool.
- the holding element is preferably a ring that runs completely around the central axis and has a discharge opening. Water can flow from the drainage surface in the direction of the drainage element through the drainage opening.
- the holding element particularly preferably has at least one through opening through which the fastening element can be passed.
- the fastening element is guided in the direction of the drainage element via this through opening.
- the through opening is preferably designed such that parts of the fastening element are in contact with the through opening or areas adjacent to it.
- the cover element is a ring segment which only partially extends around the central axis.
- a cover element is preferably provided for each fastening element.
- the ring segment is firmly connected to the holding element.
- the cover element is one around the central axis is completely encircling ring with a drainage opening.
- the drainage opening is in the center of the ring. Water can then flow through this drainage opening to the drainage element.
- the annular cover element is firmly connected to the holding element.
- both the holding element and the cover element are designed as rings, these two rings are preferably arranged concentrically to one another.
- the exposed surface of the cover element overflowing with water in the installed state is at least partially rounded and / or partially conical.
- the rounding or the conicity are such that a flow-optimized inlet of the water is made possible.
- the cover element is held on the holding element via at least one latching connection.
- a very simple, fixed connection between the cover element and the holding element can be provided with a latching connection.
- the locking connection comprises a locking tab and a locking recess corresponding to the locking tab.

- the screw head is visible from above when the cover element is not present.
- the holding element preferably has a stop surface on the underside with which the holding element rests on the drainage surface.
- the holding element also has a drainage surface on the top.
- both the stop surface and the drain surface are oriented at an angle to the central axis.
- the holding element provides a receiving area between the central axis and the drainage surface, in which the cover element can be inserted.
- the exposed surface of the cover element overflowing with water is flush with the drainage surface of the holding element. In this way, a good drainage capacity can be ensured. It is also very easy to clean.
- the drain arrangement preferably further comprises a cover with a cover surface and latching elements, the cover surface in the installed position being spaced apart from the holding element and the cover element, and the latching elements preferably entering into a latching connection with the cover element.
- the latching connection between the cover and the cover element has the advantage that the cover can be installed very easily.
- the latching elements of the cover preferably protrude into the drain opening of the cover element and there interlock on the inner wall of the drain opening. This has the advantage that no parts of the cover extend into the drainage element, which would be disadvantageous with regard to the drainage capacity.
- the at least one fastening element and the holding element and also the cover element are preferably arranged essentially below the upper side of the drainage surface, viewed in the installed position.

- the latching tab 13 and the latching recess 14 are arranged in such a way that they are essentially not visible from above in the installed position.
- the cover element 8 has at least one recess 16 on its underside 15, into which parts of the fastening element 7 can protrude.
- the recess 16 and the fastening elements 7 are designed with respect to one another in such a way that no mechanical connection is established between the fastening element 7 and the cover element 8. This means that the recess 16 essentially creates a cavity into which the fastening element 7 can protrude with play.
- the absence of a mechanical connection between the fastening element 7 and the cover element 8 has the advantage that the said mechanical fixed connection between the cover element 8 and the holding element 6 is not further influenced.
- the fastening opening in the drain element 3 is preferably a threaded opening.
- the fastening element 7 is preferably a screw, and in particular the screw head 28 of the screw can be covered by the cover element. The screw head 28 rests on the upper side of the web area 26 on the holding element 6.
- the holding element 6 has a stop surface 17 on the underside with which the holding element 6 rests on the drainage surface 2. In the embodiment shown, the holding element 6 rests in the area of the drain opening 22 of the shower element 2.
- the holding element 6 has on the top a drainage surface 18 which, in the embodiment shown, has a certain conicity.
- the drainage surface 18 preferably adjoins the top side 24 of the drainage surface 2 and then merges into the surface 27 of the cover element 8 overflowing with the flow.
- the watercourse is symbolized with the arrow P shown.
- Said surfaces 24, 18 and 27 are located in such a way that the water has as little resistance as possible. In particular, the surfaces are flush with one another.
- the holding element 6, the cover element 8 and the fastening elements 7 lie essentially below a plane spanned by the upper side 24.
- the plane bears the reference symbol E in Figure 5 .
- the advantage of arranging these elements below the level is that one compact or flat design can be achieved.
