Definitions

  • the invention relates to a drainage device for a basin, in particular in the form of a sink, consisting of at least one fluid passage part and a fluid blocking part, at least some of which are manually moved into a position allowing fluid between the basin and a drainage pipe of the device the position blocking the fluid passage and vice versa can be moved by means of an actuating device, the actuating device having a clamping device by means of which the drain pipe can be fixed in a fluid-tight manner on the basin.
  • the invention also relates to a basin with such a drainage device arranged thereon.
  • Such drainage devices are freely available on the market in a wide variety of designs. They are also known as drain fittings. As a rule, they are inserted into an opening in the bottom of a basin and ensure that process or waste water from the basin can be fed to a sewerage system via the drainage pipe. In addition, these drainage devices generally have a fluid blocking part in the form of a plug which can be inserted into an opening formed by the drainage device.
  • Such a drainage device is for example by WO 2012/135929 A1 known.
  • This drainage device is specially designed for basins with either an integrally formed or welded connection piece. In this way, there is no transition between the pool floor and the connecting piece for a user on the visible side, which is the upper side.
  • the sink is therefore particularly easy to clean, since at least no visible or removable deposits can form between the basin and the drainage device.
  • the proposed solution is very tightly tolerated and requires that a specially adapted drainage device is designed and installed for a respective sink.
  • the solution has larger cavities in which deposits and other constituents of the industrial or waste water can collect and in which bacteria and fungi can then multiply. By having a tube on the outside with a Must be provided thread, there is also a high manufacturing cost.
  • the assembly of a nut to be screwed onto a drain pipe is very complex.
  • a drainage device of the type described in the introduction is off DE 20 2004 011 935 U1 known.
  • the drainage pipe is arranged on the underside of the basin via a compensating piece that tapers in diameter from top to bottom.
  • the seal is made to the pool floor via an annular sealing washer, which rests on an upper annular surface of a connecting flange provided on the compensating piece.
  • the compensation piece is sealed off from the drain pipe via a radially sealing sealing ring which is arranged on a cylindrical section of the compensation piece which engages in an encompassing annular flange of the drain pipe.
  • DE 10 2004 055 379 A1 discloses a sink in which the drain pipe is also arranged via a compensating piece on the pool floor.
  • a cylindrical section of the compensating piece engages in a corresponding ring-shaped receptacle of the drainage pipe which surrounds the cylindrical section on the outside.
  • the compensating piece is also reduced in diameter here from the side with which it is arranged on the sink base to the side connected to the drain pipe.
  • EP 2 177 672 A2 discloses an arrangement in which, in turn, the drain pipe is connected to the pool floor via a compensating piece.
  • the seal between the compensating piece and the drainage pipe takes place via a radial seal by means of a sealing ring which is received in a radial groove of the compensating piece.
  • the ring seal, via which the seal to the pool floor takes place, is received in an open ring fold that is formed on the compensating piece.
  • US 2014/0075662 A1 describes a basin with a drainage device arranged on it, which decreases in diameter from the side with which it is connected on the basin bottom side to the side enabling the connection to the drainage pipe.
  • the Sealing to the pool floor takes place via a sealing ring which rests on a radially extending annular flange of the compensation piece.
  • EP 0 874 091 A2 finally discloses a kitchen sink, in which the drain pipe is connected to the sink base via a compensating piece which decreases in diameter.
  • the seal is made towards the sink base by means of a sealing ring resting on a radial flange.
  • the lower end of the compensating piece also engages there in a corresponding cylindrical receptacle at the end of the drain pipe.
  • the part of the object relating to the drainage device is achieved by a drainage device having the features of claim 1.
  • Advantageous embodiments of the drainage device emerge from claims 2 to 8.
  • the part of the object relating to the basin is achieved by a basin with the features of claim 9.
  • the drain pipe can be arranged at a distance from a bottom of the basin via a pot-shaped compensating piece provided with a central opening in its bottom.
  • a sealing ring with an n-shaped cross-section with a circumferential groove provided on its underside facing the drainpipe, into which the edge of the drainpipe engages, is arranged between the compensating piece and the drainage pipe.
  • the solution according to the invention has the advantage that there is a simplified assembly, since only the clamping device of the actuating device has to be braced with the drainpipe in order to mount the drainpipe on the basin and make the transition from the basin to the drainpipe fluid-tight.
  • the assembly is here Very easily possible and can be done quickly by one person, since only part of the drainage device has to be inserted into the basin from the visible side and braced with another part on the underside of the basin.
  • the fact that the tensioning device is part of the actuating device results in functional integration that saves the installation space required.
  • the tensioning device is a, preferably centrally arranged, screw which can be screwed into a thread and / or into at least one other component of the drainage pipe. Assembly is therefore further simplified by one person. If the drain pipe is being held with one hand, the screw can be screwed in with the other hand and tightened using a suitable tool. The drainage pipe can thus be quickly and safely attached to the pool.
  • the drainage pipe can have a strainer basket valve as a component, into the thread of which the screw can be screwed. With such a valve it is possible to additionally shut off the drain and to filter any coarse impurities in the form of solids from the wastewater before it is introduced into the pipeline system located downstream.
  • the screw is preferably a hollow screw, in the central bore of which a bolt is arranged to be axially movable as a carrier for the fluid blocking part.
  • the screw functions on the one hand as the element ensuring the clamping fastening of the drain pipe and on the other hand as the element guiding the fluid blocking part. In this way, two essential functions are integrated into the screw.
  • a basket preferably with at least one, in particular round or slit-shaped opening, can be attached to the fluid blocking part.
  • larger solids in the wastewater such as leftover food or waste, can be safely collected without them getting into the pipelines located downstream. In this way, blockages in these pipelines can be avoided, which are relatively difficult to repair.
  • Another advantage is that the Sealing surface between the fluid blocking part and the fluid passage part is avoided, which can lead to a leak.
  • the fluid passage part is preferably formed by a, in particular flange-shaped, sieve with at least one opening, which can be inserted into a connection piece of the basin.
  • the fluid passage part results in the advantageous possibility of creating a fluid passage from the interior of the basin to a drainage pipe on the one hand and fixing the drainage pipe clamped on the basin on the other hand without having to drill into it for this purpose.
  • the drain pipe can be arranged at a distance from a bottom of the basin via a pot-shaped compensating piece provided with a central opening in its bottom, with sealing rings preferably being provided between the compensating piece and the drain pipe and the pool floor.
  • the compensating piece makes it easier to adapt the connection device to different pool designs. A different height or width of the connection piece of the basin can be compensated for in a simple manner. It is no longer necessary to use a specially designed connection pipe for each basin. Instead, only the compensating piece needs to be adapted, and this can be designed in such a way that it is suitable for a large number of pool shapes from the outset.
  • the design and manufacture of the drainage pipe which already has a relatively complex geometry, is simplified as a result.
  • the sealing ring between the compensating piece and the drain pipe is n-shaped in cross section.
  • the sealing ring has a circumferential groove on its underside facing the drainage pipe, into which an edge of the drainage pipe can be inserted. This results in a large sealing surface with a long creepage distance.
  • the n-shaped seal preferably engages over an edge of the drainage pipe projecting radially outward in the shape of a cup. In this way, a connection point that can be sealed particularly well is provided between the drainage pipe and the compensating piece.
  • the n-shaped sealing ring preferably rests with a thickened sealing lip on an indentation in the drain pipe, which is preferably adjacent to the edge of the drain pipe. In this way, the leakage path that a fluid has to cover from the inside of the drainage device to the outside into the environment is increased. The tightness of the sealing point between the drain pipe and the compensation piece is improved.
  • the sealing ring between the compensating piece and the basin can be arranged in a circumferential groove on the upper side of the compensating piece.
  • the compensating piece can be widened at its upper edge, in particular it can protrude radially outward.
  • the sealing ring is therefore securely accommodated and can be pressed against the underside of the basin with a high surface pressure.
  • the invention further relates to a basin with a drain device according to the invention arranged thereon, which is characterized in that its bottom is seamless, in the sense of step-free, with the exception of the transition from the bottom to the tubular connection piece.
  • a flange of a fluid passage part rests on the floor.
  • There is a shoulder at the edge of the flange and pockets of dirt can form in which bacteria can collect and multiply.
  • the use of harsh cleaning agents is required to remove these pockets of dirt. These can attack the surface or coating of the drainage device and make it unsightly over time.
  • a flange resting on the floor is avoided. The floor merges into the connecting piece without any steps. In this way, the bottom of the pool can be cleaned very easily and always looks clean.
  • a tubular, round connection piece can advantageously be formed at an opening of the basin, which is drawn inwards at its free end, and the free end of the connection piece can form a counter-bearing for the fluid passage part, which is supported on the counter-bearing.
  • the basin can be made from a composite material having a polymerized, cured binder and fillers embedded therein. Basins of this type can be adapted to a wide variety of purposes with excellent functional properties. They are easy to clean, have an attractive appearance even after years and have a long service life. Because a composite material is used, any corrosion problems can also be avoided.
  • a drainage device 10 for basin 12 in particular in the form of a sink, is shown.
  • the basin 12 has a bottom 14 and side walls not shown in detail. It is produced by injection molding from a composite material containing a polymerized, hardened binder and fillers embedded therein. In this case, a tubular round one was at an opening 16 of the basin 12 Connection piece 18 is formed, which is drawn in at its free end 20 in order to form a counter bearing 22 for the drainage device 10.
  • the drainage device 10 has a fluid passage part 24 and a fluid blocking part 26.
  • the fluid passage part 24 is formed by a flange-shaped sieve part.
  • the sieve part 24 has a central opening 28 ( Fig. 5 ) for receiving an actuating device 30 and a plurality of further fluid passage openings 32, in particular in the form of bores, are provided offset on a pitch circle at a radial distance from this central opening 28.
  • the fluid passage part 24 can be inserted into the connecting piece 18 of the basin 12 and is supported on its drawn-in end 20.
  • the fluid blocking part 26 can be moved by hand from a fluid between the basin 12 and a discharge pipe 34 of the discharge device 10 passing position OS into a position blocking the fluid passage and vice versa by means of the actuating device 30.
  • the fluid blocking part 26 has an essentially U-shaped configuration, seen in cross section, which is open at the bottom.
  • Two radially outwardly protruding sealing lips 36, 38 are provided on the fluid blocking part 26, which can be brought to bear in a sealing manner on a side wall 40 and in the openings 32 of the fluid blocking part 26.
  • a circumferential groove 42 is provided in order to facilitate the insertion of the fluid blocking part 26 into the openings 32 of the fluid passage part 24, a circumferential groove 42 is provided.
  • the actuating device 30 has a knob as the operating part 44, which extends vertically upwards, but does not protrude beyond the bottom 14 of the basin 12.
  • a basket 46 is fixed between the knob 44 and the fluid blocking part 26.
  • the cup 46 has, as can be seen in particular in Fig.
  • the basket 46 On its upper side 50, the basket 46 has a flange-like edge 52, the distance A from the connecting piece 18 of the basin 12 being kept small.
  • the actuating device 30 has a tensioning device 54, by means of which the drain pipe 34 is at a predeterminable distance B from the fluid passage part 24 is held.
  • the tensioning device 54 has a centrally arranged screw which can be screwed into a thread 56 of the drainage pipe 34.
  • the drain pipe 34 has a strainer basket valve 58 in which the thread 56 arranged centrally in the drain pipe 34 is provided, into which the screw 54 can be screwed.
  • the screw 54 is a hollow screw.
  • a bolt 62 is arranged as a carrier of the fluid blocking part 26 so as to be axially movable.
  • the actuating device 30 is formed from the knob 44 with a threaded rod 64 which, after the cage 46 and the fluid blocking part 26 pass through the center, can be screwed into an axial bore 66 of the bolt 62 or can be fixed in another suitable manner.
  • the drainage pipe 34 has an approximately L-shaped profile in cross section and extends predominantly in the horizontal direction HR. At its free end 68, the drainage pipe 34 is provided with an external thread 70, via which it can be connected to further pipe sections (not shown) of a conventional drainage system.
  • the drainage pipe 34 can be arranged at a distance from the bottom 14 of the basin 12 via a pot-shaped compensating piece 76 provided with a central opening 72 in its bottom 74.
  • the compensating piece 76 surrounds the connecting piece 18 at a distance C.
  • Two sealing rings 78, 80 are provided between the compensating piece 76 and the drainage pipe 34 or the bottom 14 of the basin 12.
  • the sealing ring 78 between the compensating piece 76 and the drain pipe 34 has an N-shaped cross-section.
  • the n-shaped sealing ring 78 engages over a cup-shaped rim 82 of the drainage pipe 34 which projects radially outwards and which, viewed in the vertical direction VR, closes this upwards.
  • the n-shaped sealing ring 78 rests with a thickened sealing lip 84 in an indentation 86 of the drain pipe 34, which is adjacent to the edge 82 of the drain pipe 34.
  • the sealing ring 78 protrudes into a circumferential recess 88 on the underside 90 of the compensating piece 76.
  • the sealing ring 80 between the compensating piece 76 and the basin 12 is arranged in a circumferential groove 92 on an upper side 94 of the compensating piece 76.
  • the compensating piece 76 is widened radially outward at its upper end 96.
  • the groove 92 is semicircular in cross section, the sealing ring 80 being shaped to match the groove 92 and having sealing lips 98, 100 directed radially inward and outward in cross section, so that this sealing ring 80 covers the entire upper side 94 of the compensating piece 76 and can in particular be pressed against the bottom 14 of the basin 12 with a high pressure by the side walls 102, 104 of the groove 92.
