Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Zusammensetzung in Form einer Feststoffmischung zur Herstellung einer Reinigungslösung für Teppiche und Polster, umfassend mindestens einen Komplexbildner, mindestens ein Tensid und mindestens eine Komponente zum Einkapseln von Verunreinigungen. Die Zusammensetzung umfasst als Komplexbildner Citronensäure und/oder Citrat, Oxalsäure und/oder Oxalat sowie ein Silikat, insbesondere ein Metasilikat.

Description

Zusammensetzung zur Herstellung einer Reinigungslösung für
Teppiche und Polster
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Zusammensetzung in Form einer Feststoffmischung zur Herstellung einer Reinigungslösung für Teppich und Polster, umfassend mindestens einen Komplexbildner, mindestens ein Tensid und mindestens eine Komponente zum Einkapseln von Verunreinigungen.
Die Erfindung betrifft ferner die Verwendung einer derartigen Zusammensetzung zur Herstellung einer Reinigungslösung für Teppiche und Polster, insbesondere zur Anwendung mit einem Sprühextraktionsgerät.
Eine effektive Reinigung von Teppichen (d.h. insbesondere von Teppichböden) und von Polstern (z. B. von Sitzmöbeln oder in Kraftfahrzeugen) kann besonders vorteilhaft mit einem Sprühextraktionsgerät erfolgen. Dabei wird eine spezielle Reinigungslösung in einer definierbaren Dosierung auf den zu reinigenden Teppich oder das Polster aufgetragen und nach einer bestimmten Einwirkzeit, die von wenigen Sekunden bis zu einigen Stunden betragen kann, mit demselben Gerät wieder abgesaugt, einschließlich der gelösten bzw. dis- pergierten Verunreinigungen. Bei sehr kurzen Einwirkzeiten kann das Auftragen und Absaugen innerhalb desselben Arbeitsgangs erfolgen.
In vielen Fällen erwirbt der Anwender eines Sprühextraktionsgerätes eine fertige Reinigungslösung, die unmittelbar in den Vorratstank des Gerätes eingefüllt werden kann. Dadurch gestaltet sich die Anwendung sehr einfach, da das Produkt vom Anwender nicht aufgelöst oder verdünnt werden muss. Nachteilig ist allerdings, dass in diesem Fall durch den Wasseranteil der Reinigungslösung relativ hohe Gewichte und Volumina transportiert und gelagert werden müssen, wobei diese Problematik vor allem bei gewerblichen Anwendern zum Tragen kommt, die entsprechend hohe Mengen an Reinigungslösung umsetzen. Als Alternative zu fertigen Reinigungslösungen werden daher auch Feststoffmischungen angeboten, die vom Anwender zur Herstellung einer Reinigungslösung in Wasser aufgelöst werden müssen. Diese Feststoffmischungen können entweder in Form eines Pulvers oder in Form von verpressten Formkörpern (Tabs) vorliegen, wobei letztere die Dosierung der Feststoffmischung deutlich erleichtern. Zusammensetzungen dieser Art können eine Vielzahl verschiedener Komponenten enthalten, um eine möglichst gute Reinigungswirkung zu entfalten, regelmäßig umfassen sie aber zumindest die eingangs genannten Bestandteile (Komplexbildner, Tenside und Komponente zum Einkapseln von Verunreinigungen).
Der mindestens eine Komplexbildner in der Zusammensetzung ist insbesondere zur Markierung der Wasserhärte erforderlich, d .h. zur Komplexierung der Calcium- und Magnesiumionen im Leitungswasser, mit dem die Zusammensetzung durch den Anwender aufgelöst wird. Der Komplexbildner leistet aber auch einen wesentlichen Beitrag zur Reinigungswirkung . Zusammensetzungen gemäß dem Stand der Technik enthalten als Komplexbildner insbesondere Phosphate, die zwar unter ökologischen Gesichtspunkten äußerst nachteilig sind, aber bislang noch nicht durch alternative Komplexbildner bei vergleichbarer Reinigungsleistung ersetzt werden konnten.
Der Erfindung liegt daher die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine Zusammensetzung in Form einer Feststoffmischung zur Herstellung einer Reinigungslösung für Teppiche und Polster vorzuschlagen, die eine gute Reinigungsleistung aufweist und Komplexbildner umfasst, die keine Phosphate sind.
Diese Aufgabe wird bei der Zusammensetzung der eingangs genannten Art erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, dass die Zusammensetzung als Komplexbildner Citronensäure und/oder Citrat, Oxalsäure und/oder Oxalat sowie ein Silikat, insbesondere ein Metasilikat, umfasst.
Es hat sich gezeigt, dass gerade durch die Kombination dieser drei Komplexbildner sehr gute Reinigungsergebnisse erzielt werden können, wenn eine aus der Zusammensetzung hergestellte Reinigungslösung mittels eines Sprühex- traktionsgerätes zur Reinigung von Teppichen oder Polstern eingesetzt wird.
Die erfindungsgemäße Zusammensetzung umfasst vorzugsweise keine Phosphate, so dass der Einsatz ökologisch unbedenklicher ist als bei den entsprechenden Zusammensetzungen gemäß dem Stand der Technik.
Die Reinigungsleistung der Zusammensetzung kann durch die Wahl der Anteile der verschiedenen Komplexbildner weiter optimiert werden. Besonders günstig ist es, wenn das Gewichtsverhältnis von Citronensäure und/oder Citrat zu Oxalsäure und/oder Oxalat zwischen 5 : 1 und 20 : 1 liegt. Dabei ist mit "Citronensäure und/oder Citrat" die Summe der Anteile an freier Citronensäure und/oder einem oder mehreren Salzen der Citronensäure, die in der Feststoffmischung enthalten sind, gemeint. Beim Auflösen der Zusammensetzung in Wasser stellt sich bekanntermaßen ein Gleichgewicht zwischen den unterschiedlich stark proportionierten Formen des Citratmoleküls ein, abhängig vom pH-Wert der Reinigungslösung . Entsprechendes gilt für die Formulierung "Oxalsäure und/oder Oxalat".
Weiterhin ist es bevorzugt, wenn das Gewichtsverhältnis von Oxalsäure und/oder Oxalat zu dem in der Zusammensetzung enthaltenem Silikat zwischen 1 : 1 und 3 : 1 liegt. Wie bereits erwähnt, ist das Silikat bevorzugt ein Metasilikat, z. B. Natriummetasilikat.
Neben den drei genannten Komponenten kann die erfindungsgemäße Zusammensetzung auch noch weitere Komplexbildner enthalten. Bei einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform umfasst die Zusammensetzung ferner Gluconsäure und/oder Gluconat als weiteren Komplexbildner.
Der Anteil aller Komplexbildner in der Feststoffmischung liegt günstigerweise im Bereich von 15 bis 40 Gew.%, insbesondere im Bereich von 20 bis 30 Gew.%. Gemäß einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform der Erfindung umfasst die Zusammensetzung freie Citronensäure, freie Oxalsäure und Natriummetasilikat, sowie optional Natriumgluconat.
Weiter bevorzugt umfasst die Zusammensetzung folgende Bestandteile :
10 bis 30 Gew.% Citronensäure,
optional bis zu 10 Gew.% Trinatriumcitrat,
4 bis 6 Gew.% Natriumgluconat,
1 bis 3 Gew.% Oxalsäure,
0,5 bis 1,5 Gew.% Natriummetasilikat.
Ein weiterer Bestandteil der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzung ist die mindestens eine Komponente zum Einkapseln von Verunreinigungen. Solche Komponenten binden die Verunreinigungen und erleichtern deren spätere Entfernung, d.h. insbesondere deren Absaugen mit Hilfe des Sprühextrakti- onsgerätes. Vorzugsweise umfasst die Zusammensetzung als Komponente zum Einkapseln von Verunreinigungen eine Polyacrysäure oder deren Salz, insbesondere deren Natriumsalz.
Als besonders vorteilhaft haben sich Polyacrysäuren bzw. deren Salze erwiesen, die ein Molekulargewicht im Bereich von 3.000 bis 5.000 g/mol aufweisen. Der Anteil an Polyacrylsäure oder deren Salz liegt vorzugsweise im Bereich von 2,5 bis 3,5 Gew.%.
Als Tensid umfasst die Zusammensetzung günstigerweise ein oder mehrere nicht-ionische Tenside. Als besonders vorteilhaft hat sich die Verwendung von einem oder mehreren Polyalkylenglycolethern als nicht-ionische Tenside erwiesen, diese werden auch als Fettalkoholethoxylate bezeichnet.
Daneben kann die Zusammensetzung natürlich auch noch weitere Tenside, z. B. anionische oder amphotere Tenside, umfassen. Günstig ist es, wenn die Zusammensetzung ferner mindestens eine geruchsabsorbierende Komponente umfasst. Dadurch kann neben der eigentlichen Reinigungswirkung ein weiterer vorteilhafter Effekt bei der Behandlung von Teppichen oder Polstern erzielt werden. Besonders vorteilhaft ist die Verwendung von Zinkricinoleat als geruchsabsorbierende Komponente.
Als weitere vorteilhafte Komponente kann die Zusammensetzung ein oder mehrere Sprengmittel umfassen. Hierbei handelt es sich um besonders gut wasserlösliche Substanzen, die die Auflösung der Feststoffmischung erleichtern und beschleunigen. Bevorzugt umfasst die Zusammensetzung Natriumcarbo- nat und/oder Natriumhydrogencarbonat als Sprengmittel.
Eine weitere vorteilhafte Komponente in der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzung sind Zellulosefasern. Diese verbessern die Rieselfähigkeit der Feststoffmischung und wirken einem Verklumpen entgegen, so dass die Zusammensetzung gut dosiert werden kann.
Im Rahmen der vorliegenden Erfindung kann die Feststoffmischung entweder in Form eines Pulvers vorliegen, oder in Form eines verpressten Formkörpers, d .h. eines sogenannten Tabs. Im Fall von Tabs wird die Dosierung der Zusammensetzung für den Anwender vereinfacht, da er keine Hilfsmittel zum Abmessen einer bestimmten Pulvermenge benötigt.
Die qualitative und quantitative Zusammensetzung der Feststoffmischung ist sowohl bei einem Pulver als auch bei Tabs im Wesentlichen dieselbe, auch wenn bei Tabs in der Regel eine geringere Konzentration der herzustellenden Reinigungslösung vorgesehen ist. Die etwas geringere Reinigungsleistung wird im Hinblick auf die komfortablere Handhabung in Kauf genommen.
Unterschiede in der Zusammensetzung bestehen aber insofern, als die Zusammensetzung in Form von Tabs typischerweise keine geruchsabsorbierende Komponente umfasst, da diese in der geringeren Dosierung kaum wirksam wäre. Außerdem umfasst die Zusammensetzung in Form von Tabs bevorzugt einen höheren Anteil an Sprengmitteln, insbesondere 40 bis 50 Gew.%, damit der verpresste Formkörper bei Kontakt mit Wasser möglichst rasch zerfällt und sich auflöst.
Günstig ist es, wenn der verpresste Formkörper mit einer wasserlöslichen Folie, insbesondere auf Basis von Polyvinylalkohol, umhüllt ist. Dadurch kann ein unerwünschter Hautkontakt mit den Komponenten der Zusammensetzung vermieden werden.
Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist ferner die Verwendung der vorstehend beschriebenen Zusammensetzung zur Herstellung einer Reinigungslösung für Teppiche und Polster, insbesondere zur Anwendung mit einem Sprühextra ktionsgerät.
Bei der Herstellung der Reinigungslösung werden bevorzugt 3 bis 15 g der Zusammensetzung in einem Liter Wasser aufgelöst. Wie oben erwähnt, werden in der Regel eher höhere Konzentrationen (z. B. 10 g/l) gewählt, wenn die Feststoffmischung in Form eines Pulvers vorliegt, als wenn sie in Form eines verpressten Formkörpers vorliegt (dann z.B. nur 4 g/l).
Die erfindungsgemäße Zusammensetzung kann dahingehend optimiert werden, dass sich die Feststoffmischung, sowohl im Fall eines Pulvers als auch im Fall von Tabs, relativ schnell auflöst (zum Beispiel innerhalb von 5 Minuten in kaltem Wasser und innerhalb von einer Minute in warmem Wasser). Dies kann insbesondere durch einen entsprechenden Anteil an Sprengmittel erreicht werden.
In Abhängigkeit vom Verschmutzungsgrad kann die Reinigung mit dem Sprüh- extraktionsgerät mittels zweier verschiedener Methoden durchgeführt werden :
Bei der ersten Methode, die zur Behandlung von stärkeren Verschmutzungen vorgesehen ist, wird zunächst der gesamte Teppich bzw. das Polster mit der Reinigungslösung besprüht, so dass diese für einen gewissen Zeitraum ein- wirken kann (zum Beispiel ungefähr 5 Minuten oder die Dauer, die zum Einsprühen eines Raumes benötigt wird). Anschließend wird ein- bis zweimal sprühextrahiert (d . h. in einem Arbeitsgang wird Reinigungslösung aufgesprüht und wieder abgesaugt). Nach der Trocknung können restliche einkristallisierte und/oder eingekapselte Verschmutzungen abgesaugt werden.
Bei der zweiten Methode, die in der Regel nur für leichtere Verschmutzungen geeignet ist, wird der Teppich oder das Polster lediglich sprühextrahiert und anschließend trocknen gelassen. Einkristallisierte und/oder eingekapselte Verschmutzungen können anschließend oder bei der nächsten Unterhaltsreinigung abgesaugt werden.
Ein abschließendes Spülen des Teppichs bzw. Polsters mit Wasser ist bei Verwendung der erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzung grundsätzlich nicht erforderlich. Dadurch verkürzt sich die benötigte Trocknungszeit, die in der Regel bei etwa 12 Stunden liegt.
Diese und weitere Vorteile der Erfindung werden anhand der nachfolgenden Ausführungsbeispiele näher erläutert.
Beispiele:
1. Feststoffmischunqen zur Anwendung in Form eines Pulvers
Es wurden sechs verschiedene Zusammensetzungen gemäß der Erfindung als Feststoffmischungen in Pulverform hergestellt (Beispiele 1 bis 6), deren qualitative und quantitative Zusammensetzung in der nachfolgenden Tabelle 1 angegeben ist. Tabelle 1

Aus den sechs Feststoffmischungen wurden Reinigungslösungen hergestellt, indem jeweils 10 g des Pulvers in einem Liter Wasser aufgelöst wurden.
Die Reinigungswirkung der Lösungen wurde gemäß folgendem Testverfahren ermittelt:
Ein Zuschnitt eines hellen Velourteppichbodens aus Kunstfasern wird in einer Verschmutzungstrommel mit einem definierten Testschmutz beaufschlagt, indem die Verschmutzungstrommel mit Stahlkugeln, Polymergranulat und 0,5 g Testschmutz nach ISO 11378-1 B.2 befüllt wird und dann 10 min mit Einsatz und anschließend weitere 20 min ohne Einsatz betrieben wird. Das verschmutzte Teppichbodenstück wird dann dreimal mit einem Staubsauger abgesaugt, um nur lose anhaftenden Schmutz zu entfernen. Vor und nach der Anschmutzung wird der Weißgrad (Maß für die Remissionsfähigkeit) mit einem Weißgrad-Messgerät (Elrepho) bestimmt. Die gemessenen Werte dienen als Referenzwerte für die spätere Berechnung der Reinigungsintensität.
Für die Beispiele 1 bis 4 wurde in diesem Fall ein "Testschmutz A" verwendet und für die Beispiele 5 und 6 ein intensiverer "Testschmutz B" mit Zement- und Torfanteilen.
Die Reinigung der verschmutzten Teppichbodenstücke wird mit dem Sprühex- traktionsgerät "Puzzi 100" (Alfred Kärcher GmbH & Co. KG) durchgeführt. Dabei wird die Testfläche im Fall der Beispiele 1 bis 4 zunächst zweimal sprühend überfahren und der Teppichboden mit der jeweiligen Reinigungslösung gesättigt. Nach einer Einwirkzeit von 5 min wird der Teppichboden zweimal mit der Reinigungslösung gewaschen und diese gleich wieder abgesaugt, anschließend wird zweimal nur gesaugt. Dann wird der Teppichboden zweimal mit Wasser gespült, zweimal abgesaugt und schließlich für 24 Stunden getrocknet.
Im Fall der Beispiele 5 und 6 wird die Testfläche lediglich einmal mit der Reinigungslösung besprüht. Nach einer Einwirkzeit von 5 min wird der Teppichboden zweimal mit Wasser gespült und abgesaugt und für 24 Stunden getrocknet.
Nach der beschriebenen Reinigung des Teppichbodenstückes wird erneut der Weißgrad gemessen und die Reinigungsintensität gemäß folgender Formel berechnet:

Die Reinigungsintensitäten, die mit den erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzungen gemäß dem Beispielen 1 bis 6 erzielt wurden, ergeben sich aus der nachfolgenden Tabelle 2.

Bei den Ergebnissen ist zu beachten, dass die Reinigungsintensitäten bei den Beispielen 5 und 6 nicht direkt mit denjenigen bei den Beispielen 1 bis 4 zu vergleichen sind, da hier ein anderer Testschmutz und eine andere Reinigungsmethode verwendet wurde (Testschmutz B enthält im Gegensatz zu Testschmutz A Zement- und Torfanteile). Die Reinigungsintensitäten sind daher generell niedriger, wobei auch ein Wert von ca. 35% wie beim Beispiel 6 bereits akzeptabel ist.
Ein Vergleich der Beispiele 1 und 2 zeigt insbesondere, dass die Verwendung von Natriummetasilikat als Komplexbildner im Vergleich zu einem Natriumschichtsilikat zu einer Verbesserung der Reinigungsintensität führt.
Ein Vergleich der Beispiele 3 und 4 zeigt insbesondere, dass der Zusatz von Polyacrylsäure als Komponente zum Einkapseln von Verunreinigungen die Reinigungsintensität der Zusammensetzung weiter verbessert. Ein Vergleich der Beispiele 5 und 6 zeigt insbesondere, dass die Reinigungsintensität durch das zusätzliche nicht-ionische Tensid (Berol 260) verbessert werden kann. Außerdem zeigt die Verwendung der jeweiligen Komplexbildner, dass statt einer Kombination von Citronensäure und Trinatriumcitrat auch lediglich Citronensäure eingesetzt werden kann.
2. Feststoffmischunqen zur Herstellung von verpressten Formkörpern
Es wurden drei verschiedene Zusammensetzungen gemäß der Erfindung in Form von Feststoffmischungen hergestellt (Beispiele 7 bis 9), die zur Herstellung von verpressten Formkörpern (Tabs) geeignet sind . Die qualitative und quantitative Zusammensetzung dieser Feststoffmischungen ist in der nachfolgenden Tabelle 3 angegeben.

Aus den drei Zusammensetzungen gemäß den Beispielen 7 bis 9 wurden Reinigungslösungen hergestellt, indem jeweils 4 g der Feststoffmischung in einem Liter Wasser aufgelöst wurden (entsprechend der Auflösung eines verpressten Formkörpers mit 16 g in 4 Litern Wasser).
Die Bestimmung der Reinigungsintensität wurde mit demselben Testverfahren wie bei den Beispielen 1 bis 6 durchgeführt, wobei für die Beispiele 7 bis 9 jeweils der Testschmutz B mit Zement- und Torfanteilen verwendet wurde. Die Ergebnisse sind in der nachfolgenden Tabelle 4 dargestellt.

Ein Vergleich dieser Ergebnisse zeigt, dass die erzielte Reinigungsleistung durch die Anteile der Komplexbildner und auch der als Sprengmittel fungierenden Komponenten Natriumcarbonat und Natriumhydrogencarbonat optimiert werden kann.

Claims

P a t e n t a n s p r ü c h e
1. Zusammensetzung in Form einer Feststoffmischung zur Herstellung einer Reinigungslösung für Teppiche und Polster, umfassend mindestens einen Komplexbildner, mindestens ein Tensid und mindestens eine Komponente zum Einkapseln von Verunreinigungen,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Zusammensetzung als Komplexbildner Citronensäure und/oder Citrat, Oxalsäure und/oder Oxalat sowie ein Silikat, insbesondere ein Metasilikat, umfasst.
2. Zusammensetzung nach Anspruch 1, wobei die Zusammensetzung keine Phosphate umfasst.
3. Zusammensetzung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei das Gewichtsverhältnis von Citronensäure und/oder Citrat zu Oxalsäure und/oder Oxalat zwischen 5 : 1 und 20 : 1 liegt.
4. Zusammensetzung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei das Gewichtsverhältnis von Oxalsäure und/oder Oxalat zu dem Silikat zwischen 1 : 1 und 3 : 1 liegt.
5. Zusammensetzung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, ferner umfassend Giuconsäure und/oder Gluconat als weiteren Komplexbildner.
6. Zusammensetzung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei der Anteil aller Komplexbildner im Bereich von 15 bis 40 Gew.% liegt, insbesondere im Bereich von von 20 bis 30 Gew.%.
7. Zusammensetzung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei die Zusammensetzung freie Citronensäure, freie Oxalsäure und Natriummetasilikat umfasst, sowie optional Natriumgluconat.
8. Zusammensetzung nach Anspruch 7, umfassend
10 bis 30 Gew.% Citronensäure,
optional bis zu 10 Gew.% Trinatriumcitrat,
4 bis 6 Gew.% Natriumgluconat,
1 bis 3 Gew.% Oxalsäure,
0,5 bis 1,5 Gew.% Natriummetasilikat.
9. Zusammensetzung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei die Zusammensetzung als Komponente zum Einkapseln von Verunreinigungen eine Poiyacryisäure oder deren Salz, insbesondere deren Natriumsalz, umfasst.
10. Zusammensetzung nach Anspruch 9, wobei die Poiyacryisäure ein Molekulargewicht im Bereich von 3.000 bis 5.000 g/mol aufweist.
11. Zusammensetzung nach Anspruch 9 oder 10, wobei der Anteil an Poiyacryisäure oder deren Salz im Bereich von 2,5 bis 3,5 Gew.% liegt.
12. Zusammensetzung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei die Zusammensetzung als Tensid ein oder mehrere nicht-ionische Ten- side umfasst.
13. Zusammensetzung nach Anspruch 12, umfassend einen oder mehrere Polyalkylenglycolether als nicht-ionische Tenside.
14. Zusammensetzung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, ferner umfassend mindestens eine geruchsabsorbierende Komponente.
15. Zusammensetzung nach Anspruch 14, umfassend Zinkricinoleat als geruchsabsorbierende Komponente.
16. Zusammensetzung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, ferner umfassend ein oder mehrere Sprengmittel.
17. Zusammensetzung nach Anspruch 16, umfassen Natriumcarbonat und/oder Natriumhydrogencarbonat als Sprengmittel.
18. Zusammensetzung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, ferner umfassend Zellulosefasern zur Verbesserung der Rieselfähigkeit.
19. Zusammensetzung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei die Feststoffmischung in Form eines Pulvers vorliegt.
20. Zusammensetzung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 18, wobei die Feststoffmischung in Form eines verpressten Formkörpers vorliegt.
21. Zusammensetzung nach Anspruch 20, wobei die Zusammensetzung 40 bis 50 Gew.% Sprengmittel umfasst.
22. Zusammensetzung nach Anspruch 20 oder 21, wobei der verpresste Formkörper mit einer wasserlöslichen Folie, insbesondere auf Basis von Polyvinylalkohol, umhüllt ist.
23. Verwendung einer Zusammensetzung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche zur Herstellung einer Reinigungslösung für Teppiche und Polster, insbesondere zur Anwendung mit einem Sprühextraktionsgerät.
Verwendung nach Anspruch 23, wobei 3 bis 15 g der Zusammensetzung in 1 Liter Wasser aufgelöst werden.
