- FIG. 2 shows more particularly how the internal and external ferrules 22 are arranged with the case shielding elements.
- the case shielding elements 26, according to this example, number two, are for example made by stamping. and cutting a metal sheet. They have nested with each other to form a cage extending along a longitudinal axis A, between an open end 32 towards the connection interface and an opposite end having a cable outlet portion 34.
- This cable outlet portion 34 has a substantially tubular shape, symmetrical about the longitudinal axis A. It comprises a plurality of tongues 36 or resilient blades integrally with the case shielding elements 26. For example, these tongues 36 are ten regularly distributed around the longitudinal axis A. But, it will be noted that the tabs rests on an outer ferrule 24, without a crimping operation has been performed on the shielding elements of housing 26 at the cable outlet portion 34. This clearly limits the level of stress exerted on the shielding elements of housing 26. This also allows manual mounting and facilitates repair operations. As shown in more detail in FIG. 3, each tab 36 has a curved shape.
- each tab 36 progressively deviates from the longitudinal axis A, away from the case shielding member 26 to which it is connected, to a vertex 38. Then, from this vertex 38, direction of its free end 40 is approaching again the longitudinal axis.
- the diameter of the circle inscribed at the free ends of the tongues 36, when they are unstressed, is less than the external diameter of the outer ferrule 24.
- the free ends 40 of the tongues 36 form contact zones which rest and exert a contact force on the outer surface 42 of the outer ferrule 24, when the latter is housed in the cable outlet portion 34.
- the inner ferrule 22 has an outer diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the outer ferrule 24.
- the inner ferrule 22 is placed on the cable 30, above a stripped portion 48 of the shielding braid 44.
- the shielding braid 44 is thus in contact with the inner face 46 of the inner ferrule 22.
- the shielding braid 44 is also rolled up, turned over, in order to be in contact with the outer surface 50 of the inner ferrule 22.
- the outer ferrule 24 is threaded above the stripped portion 48 of the shielding braid 44 resting on the inner ferrule 22, on which it is crimped.
- the outer surface 42 of the outer ferrule 24 is substantially smooth (without apparent shielding braid).

- the clamping ring 54 exerts a force on the resilient tongue 36, essentially at their apex 38, radially in the direction of the cable 30.
- the tongues 36 are on the one hand inclined with respect to the external surface 42 of the outer ferrule 24, and on the other hand elastic, the clamping ring 54 (whose inner diameter is slightly greater than the outer diameter of the outer ferrule, but less than the diameter inscribed at the vertices 38 of the tabs 36) can relatively easily be moved on the along the cable 30, then on the tabs 36.
- clamping ring 56 and the spacer are two separate elements.

- a portion of the outer insulation 60 of the cable 30 is also removed to denude the shielding braid 44 which is then rolled up on the inner ferrule 22.
- the outer ferrule 24 can then be brought back and crimped on the portion of the shielding braid rolled up on the inner ferrule 22 (Figure 5C).
- Contacts 28 are then crimped on the ends, previously cleared and stripped, son 58 of the cable 30 ( Figure 5D).

- the flexibility of the tabs optimizes the performance of the vibration resistance without degrading the shielding performance. For example, one can reach vibration levels of 42G sine, that is substantially 17G RMS, instead of the 25 G sine existing shielded connectors of this type.
- the shielding elements 26 and their tongues 36 are not crimped on the outer ferrule, which makes dismantling and repair operations possible.
- the two shielding elements 26 are nested one inside the other and the clamping ring 56 of the spacer 20 is brought back onto the tongues 36 (FIG. 5G).
- the end of the cable 30 thus prepared and shielded can be optionally stored and / or transported before being introduced into the outer housing 8 is mounted with the other elements of the connector 1.
