Alternativ dazu ist es jedoch auch möglich, die Noppe-Schlitz-Kombinationen lediglich auf einer Seite der Zwischenschiene anzuordnen, was bei Montage und Demontage der Fugenabdeckvorrichtung vorteilhaft sein kann.
