- Each lock can be configured to constrain and/or resist horizontal and/or vertical of movement of the adjacent socks. That is, the sock separator of the lock can rest upon a sock of a given course (e.g., "course X"), and can be rested upon by a sock of an immediately above course (e.g., "course Y"). Thus, the sock separator of the lock can be positioned between and/or partially separate two courses of socks. As described above, due to the offset faces of the lock, the course Y can be set-back into the slope with respect to course X. The upper face can help restrict or prevent horizontal movement of course Y, while the lower face can help restrict or prevent horizontal movement of course X.
- the lower face and/or upper face can resemble a lattice, mesh, and/or holed plate, nearly the entire exposed surface of the sock can be planted and/or serve as a plant growing zone. Moreover, due to the batter (set-back) created by the lock, plants can grow vertically from the wall, and/or a substantial portion of rainfall that strikes the wall can be absorbed directly into the socks. Because the sock separator can resemble a lattice, mesh, and/or holed plate, roots of plants can extend through a sock and further down into the backfill and/or lower courses of the wall, thereby creating a structural web of roots that can further secure and/or stabilize the wall.
- Either front face can have a height ranging from approximately 2 inches to approximately 24 inches (including all values and sub-ranges therebetween) and/or a width ranging from approximately 8 inches to approximately 36 inches (including all values and sub-ranges therebetween).
- the sock separator can have a depth ranging from approximately 8 inches to approximately 48 inches (including all values and sub-ranges therebetween).
- Each lock can be configured to connect to and/or be stabilized by one or more polymer straps that can extend into the slope's backfill at one or more locations per course.
- This configuration can take the form of an extension to the sock separator that extends the sock separator beyond its connection to the upper face. That extension can define an aperture through which a strap that extends toward the face of the wall can change direction and/or loop and extend back into the slope and/or backfill.
- the extension can provide a handle for manually carrying the lock, the handle having a diameter of from approximately 0.5 inches to 6 inches (including all values and sub-ranges therebetween).
- the extension can include one or more substantially vertically-extending protrusions (e.g., spikes, pins, prongs, and/or posts) that can serve to lock the upper sock horizontally into position before backfill is placed behind the upper sock.
- the locks can be formed from metal, welded wire, and/or plastic, such as medium to high density polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester, nylon, and/or ABS, etc., with any portion comprising recycled plastic.
- Any handle described herein can be substantially surrounded by a jacket that can serve to distribute, spread, and/or disburse stresses otherwise imposed on the handle by one or more reinforcement straps.

Claims (27)
- Système de paroi de retenue (4000) configuré afin de stabiliser sensiblement une pente formée à partir de matériau terreux (3800), le système de paroi de retenue comprenant :une paroi de stabilisation comprenant une pluralité de plateaux empilés formés à partir d'un ou plusieurs tube(s) grillagé(s) s'étendant plus sensiblement de manière horizontale (4200, 4202), chaque tube étant sensiblement rempli d'un milieu de croissance végétal ;une pluralité de systèmes de retenue de tube modulaires (1100, 4100, 4102) collectivement configurés afin de résister sensiblement au renversement et au fléchissement d'une face principale approximativement plane de la paroi de stabilisation, la pente étant située de manière distale par rapport à la face principale ; et dans lequel :chaque tube grillagé rempli présente une coupe transversale longitudinale sensiblement ovale ;chaque système de retenue du tube comprend un élément de treillis inter-verrouillé, pré-plié, sensiblement à ouverture arrière qui définit une partie de base sensiblement plane (1120) raccordé d'un seul tenant à une partie de face sensiblement plane (1140), la partie de base étant configurée afin d'être en contact direct avec et afin de supporter sensiblement un fond d'un tube depuis l'un ou plusieurs tube(s) grillagé(s) s'étendant sensiblement de manière horizontale, la partie de face étant configurée de façon à être en contact direct avec un côté de face de ce tube, la partie de base étant configurée afin de s'étendre sensiblement de manière horizontale depuis la partie de face dans le matériau terreux sur une distance supérieure à une dimension en coupe transversale longitudinale du tube ;chaque système de retenue du tube définit une pluralité d'ouvertures de système de retenue qui sont configurées afin de permettre sensiblement aux racines de plantes et au matériau terreux (2800) de passer sensiblement de manière verticale à travers dans une zone du système de paroi de retenue qui est distale par rapport à la face principale ;chaque système de retenue du tube est sensiblement stabilisé par au moins une courroie de renfort (1500) qui s'étend à travers une partie du matériau terreux mais ne forme pas une boucle ou ne s'enveloppe pas autour d'un tube correspondant ;chaque courroie de renfort forme une boucle à travers une ouverture bordée par une poignée s'étendant sensiblement de manière horizontale (1700) d'un système de retenue du tube correspondant ;chaque poignée présente un diamètre d'au moins 0,5 pouce.
- Système selon la revendication 1, dans lequel :
les systèmes de retenue du tube sont configurés de façon à permettre aux troncs, aux tiges, aux branches et/ou aux feuilles de plantes enracinées dans les tubes de croître sensiblement en s'éloignant des systèmes de retenue du tube. - Système selon la revendication 1, dans lequel :
les systèmes de retenue du tube sont configurés de façon à permettre aux plantes enracinées dans les tubes de croître dans une mesure où les plantes, dans un délai de 3 ans, recouvrent sensiblement la face principale de la paroi. - Système selon la revendication 1, dans lequel :
chaque partie inférieure est configurée afin de permettre aux racines végétales de s'étendre approximativement de manière verticale à travers elle. - Système selon la revendication 1, dans lequel :
chaque tube définit des ouvertures en treillis qui sont configurées afin de permettre aux racines des plantes de s'étendre sensiblement à travers elles. - Système selon la revendication 1, dans lequel :
chaque système de retenue du tube comprend une ou plusieurs saillie(s) configurée(s) afin de résister sensiblement au mouvement du tube dans une direction sensiblement horizontale. - Système selon la revendication 1, dans lequel :
chaque poignée est configurée afin de réduire sensiblement les concentrations de contrainte sur sa courroie correspondante. - Système selon la revendication 1, dans lequel :
les tubes sont configurés afin de séparer sensiblement le milieu de croissance de la plante du matériau terreux et afin de prévenir sensiblement l'érosion et/ou le lessivage du milieu de croissance de la plante. - Système selon la revendication 1, dans lequel :
chaque système de retenue du tube est configuré pour un conduit d'irrigation qui s'étend au moins dans une extension parmi:sensiblement à travers le système de retenue du tube;sensiblement à travers un tube retenu par ledit système de retenue ;sensiblement entre le tube et un tube adjacent ; etsensiblement de manière parallèle à un axe longitudinal du tube. - Système selon la revendication 1, dans lequel :
un conduit d'irrigation s'étend sensiblement de manière longitudinale à travers au moins un des tubes. - Système selon la revendication 1, dans lequel :
la pluralité de systèmes de retenue du tube est sensiblement interverrouillée. - Système selon la revendication 1, dans lequel :
chaque partie de face définit une partie de la face principale. - Système selon la revendication 1, dans lequel :
au moins une des parties de face est reliée à sa partie de base correspondante par un montant. - Système selon la revendication 1, dans lequel :
au moins une des parties de face est configurée selon un angle prédéterminé afin de fournir un contour, une butée, et/ou un revers prédéterminé d'un ou plusieurs des plateaux relativement à un plateau inférieur. - Système selon la revendication 1, dans lequel :au moins une des parties de face est configurée selon un angle prédéterminé afin de fournir un contour, une butée, et/ou un revers prédéterminé d'un ou plusieurs des plateaux relativement à un plateau inférieur ; etl'angle prédéterminé est compris entre environ 45 degrés par rapport à l'horizontale et environ 85 degrés par rapport à l'horizontale.
- Système selon la revendication 1, dans lequel :
au moins une des parties de face est texturée et/ou colorée afin de ressembler sensiblement à un matériau de construction de paroi traditionnel. - Système selon la revendication 1, dans lequel :
chaque tube présente une taille d'ouverture de maille minimum d'environ 0,050 pouce. - Système selon la revendication 1, dans lequel :
la pluralité de courroies de renfort est configurée de façon à résister sensiblement à des charges d'inclinaison de paroi et/ou à des charges de fléchissement de paroi. - Système selon la revendication 1, dans lequel :
chacune d'une ou plusieurs des courroies de renfort est sensiblement décalée de tout contact avec le système de retenue du tube correspondant par un chemisage correspondant, le chemisage étant configuré de façon à protéger sensiblement la courroie de tout dommage substantiel provoqué par le contact direct de la courroie avec le système de retenue du tube. - Système selon la revendication 1, dans lequel :
chacune d'une ou plusieurs des courroies de renfort est sensiblement décalée afin d'éviter tout contact avec le fil du système de retenue du tube correspondant par un chemisage correspondant, le chemisage étant configuré de façon à protéger sensiblement la courroie de tout dommage substantiel provoqué par le contact direct de la courroie avec le fil, le chemisage étant situé de manière proximale par rapport au fil le plus distal d'une partie horizontale du système de retenue du tube. - Système selon la revendication 1, dans lequel :
aucun tissu filtrant ou géotextile ne sépare sensiblement le matériau terreux d'un extérieur d'un tube de la pluralité de tubes. - Système selon la revendication 1, dans lequel :
aucun des tubes n'est enveloppé par un géotextile. - Système selon la revendication 1, dans lequel :
chacun de la pluralité de systèmes de retenue du tube peut être empilé avec un autre système de retenue du tube de la pluralité des systèmes de retenue du tube. - Système selon la revendication 1, dans lequel :
chacun de la pluralité de systèmes de retenue du tube peut se nicher avec chaque autre système de retenue du tube par rapport à la pluralité de systèmes de retenue du tube. - Système selon la revendication 1, dans lequel :
chaque système de retenue du tube est configuré afin de promouvoir sensiblement la croissance des racines de plantes hors d'un premier tube et dans un second tube adjacent. - Système selon la revendication 1, dans lequel :
chaque système de retenue du tube est configuré de façon à promouvoir sensiblement la croissance des racines de plantes hors d'un premier tube et dans un second tube verticalement adjacent. - Système selon la revendication 1, dans lequel :
