Description

The invention relates to a front jaw of a safety ski binding with a height-adjustable support arrangement for the front part of the sole of a ski boot, wherein the support arrangement has a slide on a base plate in the longitudinal direction and simultaneously displaceable in the vertical direction whose height is adjustable by turning an oriented in the longitudinal direction of the adjusting screw.

A ski binding with such a front jaw is from the DE 20 2006 021 129 U1 known. The ski binding is suitable both for alpine skiing and for touring, wherein the toe has a height-adjustable support arrangement, which is provided with a carriage with lateral guide elements, which are guided in lateral guide webs of the base plate and tour plate slidably. The position of the carriage on the guide webs is adjustable by means of a screw whose head is axially and radially mounted on a bearing part and the threaded portion is screwed into a nut which is held on the carriage radially and axially with wobble. Due to the different levels of leadership of the carriage and the screw inevitably results in a tilting of the screw at a rotation of the same. The wobbiness of the mother should compensate for this.

Another ski binding with a height-adjustable support arrangement is from the EP 0 345 371 A1 known. This support arrangement has a resting on the top of the ski base plate and an overlying tread plate, which cooperates with the base plate over falling in the ski longitudinal direction or rising inclined surfaces. On the base plate a perpendicular to the ski top side extending control surface is provided, which extends at an acute angle of about 15 ° to the Skiquerrichtung and on which a complementary trained control surface of a spool rests, which in Skiquerrichtung adjustable on the treadle is arranged and actuated by a self-locking adjustment, which is accessible from the ski side. The self-locking adjustment is designed as a threaded rod, so that by rotating the threaded rod in one or the other direction of the spool is moved either up or down. In this case, the control surfaces which are provided on a tread plate of the base plate, slide relative to each other, which has the consequence of the inclination of these surfaces result in that the base plate is moved either forward or backward relative to the ski. Due to the displacement of the base plate to the front or to the rear, the inclined surfaces move on the tread plate on the base plate relative to each other, which has a corresponding height adjustment of the tread plate result. This known support arrangement has a very elaborate and therefore also prone to failure mechanism for adjusting the altitude of the tread plate.

From the EP 0 595 170 A1 a sole support plate for a ski binding is known, which has a base plate for resting on the ski and a support plate for supporting a ski boot. The base plate and the support plate are elastically connected to one another in the region of one of their longitudinal edges. In order to provide at least a second defined altitude for the support of the ski boot sole, an insert is provided which can be inserted either in the longitudinal direction of the sole support plate in the region of a stop of the base plate or is arranged rotatable transversely to the sole support plate in this region of the base plate. This known support arrangement does not allow continuous adjustment of the altitude.

The US Pat. No. 3,306,562 relates to an invention in an entirely different technical field than ski bindings, namely a device for aligning heavy loads, machines and the like. The load can be slightly adjusted in the vertical direction, at the same time an inclined ground is compensated. In one embodiment, the compensating in the height adjustment of an inclined surface components wedge members whose mutual position is variable by turning a set screw which is held in the horizontal position in the vertical direction movable.

From the EP 2 886 170 A1 is a safety ski binding with a toe known, which is associated with a height-adjustable support arrangement for the front part of the sole of a ski boot. The support arrangement comprises a slide which is displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the ski and simultaneously displaceable in the vertical direction and is mounted on a base plate, the position of which being adjustable by means of an adjusting spindle oriented in the longitudinal direction of the ski and running at an acute angle to the longitudinal direction of the ski. The adjusting spindle is rotatably supported on the base plate, operatively connected to the slider and connected via a universal joint with a adjusting bolt which extends at an obtuse angle to the adjusting spindle and is also rotatably supported on the base plate.

The invention is based on the object to provide a structure with respect to the stable support arrangement available whose operation is possible in a comfortable and reliable manner, so that the altitude of the carriage to adapt the front jaw to different thickness soles is easily changed.

The object is achieved according to the invention in that the screw is screwed horizontally extending in the carriage on the base plate, held in its horizontal position, is movable in the vertical direction and of a used in the base plate, a vertical movement of the screw permitting locking member in its horizontal position is held, wherein the locking part is a U-shaped bracket, which, the adjusting screw in the region of a locking point detecting, is inserted from below into recesses of the base plate.

The mechanism for adjusting the toe to different thickness soles only requires an adjusting screw, which is arranged on the base plate and is screwed to the carriage. The compound of the set screw with the carriage is extremely stable, there are no special other adjustable or movable parts for adjusting the distance between the sole holder and the support surface for the shoe sole required to adapt the toe to a sole certain thickness.

The adjusting arrangement for adjusting the height position of the support arrangement therefore has only two components, namely the set screw and the locking part.

The vertical mobility of the screw is ensured in a simple manner, that the locking member has a running in the vertical direction exemption for the screw. This exemption may be a slot, a slot or the like.

The locking point for the locking member may be formed in a simple manner between two arranged on the screw elements whose outer diameter is greater than the diameter of the screw. In an alternative embodiment, the locking point for the locking member may also be only a locally formed on the screw groove.

The base plate 3 projects beyond the sole holder 4 in the direction of the heel piece, not shown, and carries in this area a support 10 which has a slide 10 and a slide plate 9 (FIG. Fig. 2 ) for the front area of the sole of the ski boot. Like for example Fig. 1 and Fig. 4 show inclined ramps 7 are formed on the base plate 3, whose upper sides parallel to the ski longitudinal direction oriented support surfaces 7a have their outer edges form guides 7b, wherein the support surfaces 7a and the guides 7b at an acute angle α to the ski top side of particular 10 ° to 35th ° run. In the embodiment shown, the angle α opens in the direction of the heel jaw, not shown. The carriage 10 of the support assembly 6 is along the support surfaces 7a and the guides 7b of the ramps 7 in the longitudinal direction and thereby simultaneously displaceable in the vertical direction. In particular Fig. 6 shows, are on the underside of the carriage 8 corresponding to the support surfaces 7a guide surfaces 8a formed with outside guides 8b, which surround the lateral guides 7b of the ramps 7 from above. At the top of the carriage 10, a recess or depression is formed transversely to the ski longitudinal direction, in which the sliding plate 9 is arranged in a conventional manner. The slide plate 9 provides on its upper side a substantially parallel to the ski upper side extending footprint for the sole of the ski boot available and can be deflected in a conventional manner transverse to the ski longitudinal direction against spring force.

The carriage 8 also has on its underside a solid middle part 10, which is provided with a bore 11 provided with an internal thread, which, starting from the front, frontal region of the Mitteilteils 10, extending in the ski longitudinal direction and parallel to the ski upper side. In the bore 11 is provided with an external threaded screw 12 of an adjustment 5 ( Fig. 2 screwed in). The adjusting screw 12 extends below the sole holder 4 along the underside of the base plate At the free end portion of the adjusting screw 12 is between a fixedly mounted on the screw 12, for example, with the screw 12 integrally running, annular stop 13 and a particular screw-head or cylindrical end portion 14 has a narrow engagement point 15th educated. In the embodiment shown, the stop 13 and the cylindrical end portion 14 are arranged coaxially with the adjusting screw 12, designed to be rotationally symmetrical with respect to the adjusting screw 12 larger outer diameters. At the cylindrical end portion 14, a recess 14a is formed frontally, which is designed for example as a Phillips, in order to perform a rotation of the screw 12 by means of a Phillips screwdriver. The adjusting screw 12 or its cylindrical end part 14 is accessible from the front of the housing 2 of the front jaw 1 through a corresponding recess therethrough.

The adjusting assembly 5 further includes a U-shaped locking member 16 which is positioned from the underside of the base plate 3 in the locking point 15 of the adjusting screw 12, wherein the locking member 16 formed with its two parallel and vertically extending arms 16 a in the base plate 3 Recesses 17 is inserted. The locking member 16 may be held by form and / or frictional engagement in the recesses 17. Between the arms 16a a oriented in the vertical direction slot is formed, which ensures a vertical movement of the adjusting screw 12 - the locking point 15 is vertically slidable in the slot - ensures. At the same time holds the locking member 16, the screw 12 in its longitudinal position.

If the distance between the underside of the sole holder 4 and the footprint of the shoe sole on the slide plate 9 to a ski boot sole of certain thickness to be adjusted, the screw 12 is rotated by means of a screwdriver in rotation, depending on the direction of rotation of the carriage 8 to reduce the distance along the ramps 7 is moved upwards and backwards and to increase the distance down and forward. In this case, the adjusting screw 12, which rotates about its longitudinal axis, "moves" upward or downward in the vertical direction relative to the blocking part 16, but maintains its horizontal orientation or position accordingly.

The invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiment. For example, the blocking part can be made deviating and be provided with a slot component.
