Description

The invention relates to a shoe holder assembly of a ski binding, with on a housing at the housing side pivot axes pivotable sole holders, which overlap an edge region of a housing-side end of a boot sole assembly used in the shoe holder assembly from side to side and up and interact with a arranged in the housing spring assembly, which tensions the sole holders in their chucking positions and allows a triggering of the ski boot sole in the sideways direction against a triggering resistance.

Side shoe releasable shoe holder assemblies are commonly used on ski bindings available on the market and are characterized by high reliability and safety. By way of example, the WO 90/09821 to get expelled. This document also shows that the front end of the ski boot sole should also be held with a more or less large elasticity in the upward direction and with triggerability in the upward direction, in order to reduce the risk of injury to the skier in particular in reverse lintels.

For this purpose, according to the WO 90/92821 provided to arrange the sole holder on a support member which is resiliently supported in the direction of the ski vertical axis and in the ski direction. In this case, the support member is supported in Skiquerrichtung such that it receives an increasing range of motion in the vertical direction in sideways movements. As a result, the end of the ski boot sole used in the shoe holder assembly thus receives an additional mobility in the vertical direction during a sideways movement, so that the ski boot sole can be triggered both in the upward and in the sideways direction.

Incidentally, from the DE 10 2006 039 989 A1 a shoe holder assembly known, which is characterized by a small volume of construction with safe triggering function. This known shoe holder assembly has the features specified above, wherein it is additionally provided that the sole holders are designed as a double arm, whose solenoids lever arms cooperate with pistons which are guided in the direction of the transverse axis of the ski binding slidably in the housing and common to both pistons, between the Piston clamped spring are urged against the sole- like lever arms. In essence, therefore, the housing only needs to be designed as a guide for the pistons and to receive the spring clamped between the pistons and to carry the housing holders pivotable about the housing-side vertical axes. This allows an extremely short design in the ski longitudinal direction.

AT 372864 B discloses a ski binding with a shoe holder assembly. The shoe holder assembly includes pivotable about a vertical axis sole holder, which are arranged on a housing. The housing is pivotable about a horizontal axis located at the front end of the housing. Furthermore, different release springs are used to hold the housing and the sole holding device in each case in the closed position.

DE 3129965 A1 discloses a safety ski binding with a sole retainer swiveling up about a transverse axis. Furthermore, laterally swinging sole side holders are used. A pivoting housing can not be found in this document.

US 4,088,342 discloses a ski binding that can be used for touring skis or cross-country skis as well as downhill skis. A base plate of this binding is pivotally mounted at its front end, so that it can be pivoted about a horizontal axis. A sole holder is attached to the front end of the base plate. The front end of the base plate to which the sole holder is attached, however, is not pivotable itself. The object of the invention is therefore to ensure a further increase in safety for the skier in a shoe holder assembly of the type specified.

This object is achieved in that the housing is pivotable against spring force about a transverse axis, which is arranged in or below a rebellion level of the ski boot sole closely adjacent to the housing side transverse edge of an insertable into the unit ski boot sole.

The invention is based on the general idea to allow the sole holders by a tiltable about a transverse axis arrangement of the sole holder housing a further degree of freedom of movement in the upward direction and thus at least significantly easier to trigger the ski boot sole in the upward direction.

The arrangement of the tilting axis of the housing in the immediate vicinity of the transverse edge of the housing-side sole end of the ski boot offers the possibility that the housing of the shoe holder assembly can then perform a vertical release of the ski boot sole facilitating tilting when the ski boot sole in an atypical fall parallel to Skioberseite with the housing-side sole end is pushed with great force against the housing of the shoe holder assembly.

Moreover, in the aforementioned arrangement of the tilting axis, an advantageous embodiment is made possible in which the Housing and the sole holder arranged thereon in the axial view of the tilt axis form a double arm, wherein a lever arm secures the adjacent sole end against lifting from the ski top and the other lever arm can be spring supported on a skifeste abutment. In this case, the latter lever arm may have the same or similar length as in the sole-side lever arm.

Incidentally, with regard to preferred features of the invention to the claims and the following explanation of the drawing, reference is made to the preferred features of the invention will be described in more detail.

Protection is claimed not only for specified or illustrated feature combination but also for any combination of the specified or illustrated individual features in principle.

First, the part 1 'of the base part is fastened on the top of the ski with screws 5, which passes through the provided vertical holes on the extensions 4. Then the part 1 "is pushed onto the same in the longitudinal direction of the extensions 4 and secured with screws 6 on the ski.

How out Fig. 9 It can be seen, the parts 1 'and 1 "of the base part 1 are formed such that the part 1' on the ski-holding screws 5 directly under the bearing blocks 2 and the bearing eyes 3 of the part 1" are arranged when the base part. 1 is mounted on the ski. Since the part 1 "cooperates positively with the extensions 4 and is immovably held transversely to the longitudinal axes of the extensions 4, forces acting on the bearing eyes 3 in the upward direction are removed directly onto the screws 5 and thus onto the ski Essentially only to prevent separation of the parts 1 'and 1 "from each other.

In the Fig. 1 to 7 Shoe holder assembly shown has a housing 7 with an inner body 7 'and a shell-like outer body 7 "In the assembled state of the housing 7 are on the inner body 7' and on the outer body 7" mutually coaxial bearing eyes 8 'and 8 "available, which is used to connect the housing with the base part 1. The bearing eyes 8 'of the inner body 7' assume a position axially between the bearing eyes 3 of the part 1 "of the base part 1, while the bearing eyes 8" of the outer body 7 "are respectively provided on the mutually remote outer sides of the bearing eyes 3. The housing 7 is tiltably connected to the base part 1 about a transverse axis, that is to say the tilting axis 9, by means of a tilting axis 9 passing through the aforementioned bearing eyes 8 'and 8" and 3.

Between a arranged on the top of the part 1 'of the base part 1 stationary abutment 10 and arranged on the underside of the inner body 7' of the housing 7 housing-side abutment 11, a helical compression spring 12 is clamped, the housing 7 in the Fig. 4 and 5 seeks to pivot clockwise while a trained on the bottom of the inner body 7 'stage 13 against shoulders on the bearing blocks 2 of the part 1 "of the base part 1 spans, so that the housing 7 in a through the stage 13 and the shoulders of the bearing blocks. 2 given end position is brought.

The abutments 10 and 11 each have the shape of a downwardly or upwardly open cup with conical inner circumference, which widens conically towards the opening of the respective cup. Between the abutments 10 and 11 is concentric with the helical compression spring 12, a tube spring 14 is arranged with the taper of the inner peripheries of the cup-shaped abutment 10 and 11 barrel-shaped outer circumference, wherein the tube spring 14 each protrudes slightly into the cup-shaped abutment 10 and 11. This tube spring 14 acts as a relatively stiff compression spring when the housing 7 in the Fig. 4 and 5 applied with a torque counterclockwise becomes. The housing 7 can therefore tilt counterclockwise only when exposed to a large torque.

On the side edges of the housing 7 15 pivotable sole holder 16 are arranged around lateral housing high axes. These sole holders 16 serve, on the one hand, to abut against abutment rollers 18 arranged on them by means of axes of rotation 17 on lateral edges of a sole of a ski boot, in order to lock the sole in the sideways direction of the ski. On the other hand, the sole holders 16 are intended to overlap the upper side of the sole edge with overlapping surfaces 19 extending in the transverse direction of the sole holders 16 from above, in order to lock the respective ski boot sole vertically on the ski upper side. As in particular from Fig. 1 it can be seen, the overlapping surfaces 19 have the shape of a downwardly facing blunt wedge with a wedge tip extending in the transverse direction of the respective sole holder 16. Correspondingly, in the case of a normally locked ski boot sole on the upper side of the sole edge, the sole holders 16 abut against a line-shaped contact zone extending in the sole transverse direction, which is located in the immediate vicinity of the vertical contact zone of the contact roller 18 arranged on the respective sole holder 16.

Since the overlapping surfaces 19 form an upwardly directed inclined surface 19 'towards the free end of the sole holders 16, the insertion of the respective sole end into the shoe holder assembly is facilitated.

The sole holders 16 are formed with respect to their vertical pivot axes 15 as a double arm, wherein the housing-side arm the cross section of an inner body 7 'of the housing 7, the inner body 7' transversely overlapping channel 20 overlaps. Within this channel 20 piston 21 are slidably disposed, between which a helical compression spring 22 is clamped. In this case, the helical compression spring 22 on the one hand at the bottom of in Fig. 1 the left piston 21 and on the other hand supported on an abutment 23 adjustably arranged in the right piston 21. This plate-like abutment 23 has a threaded bore into which the external thread of an adjusting screw 24 is screwed, which in turn with an annular disc-shaped flange on the bottom of in Fig. 1 right piston 21 is supported and has a for a screwing tool through a hole in the piston head accessible Phillips head, so that the abutment disc 23 can be moved by rotation of the adjusting screw 24 by changing the voltage of the helical compression spring 22.

In this way, the release force can be adjusted, in which a used between the sole holders 16 sole of a ski boot is released in Skiquerrichtung.

The assembly of the shoe holder assembly described above on a ski can be carried out as follows: First, the front part 'of the base part 1 is mounted on the ski. Thereafter, the rear part 1 "of the base part 1 parallel to Skioberseite be pushed onto the extensions 4 of the part 1 'and secured by means of screws 6 on the ski. Now, through the sole holder 16, the piston 21 and the helical compression spring 22, etc. completed housing 7 with its bearing eyes 8 'and 8 "so attached to the bearing lugs 3 of the base part 1, that the tilting axis 9 can be inserted into the aforementioned bearing eyes, wherein prior to assembly of the tilting axis 9, the helical compression spring 12 is inserted into the tube spring 14 and inserted together with the tube spring 14 between the abutments 10 and 11. Thus, the shoe holder assembly according to the invention is ready to use mounted on the ski, it only has the desired release force on the adjustment 24 are set.

The shoe-holder assembly operates (in a generally known manner) as follows: The ski boot is inserted with a sole end, typically with the front sole end between the sole holders 16, such that the tops of the lateral sole edges are overlapped by the overlapping surfaces 19 of the sole holders 16. Now the ski boot or its sole is locked with the other sole end to an associated heel-side sole holder unit or the like on the ski. If now strong forces act in the sideways direction on the inserted between the sole holders 16 sole end, the rear in the direction of force sole holder 16 opens under pivoting about its pivot axis 15, wherein the respective sole holder 16 associated piston 21 is displaced against the force of the helical compression spring 22.

Should act on the aforementioned sole end a strong force in the upward direction, the sole can be released vertically upwards by the housing 7 pivots counter to the force of the helical compression spring 12 and in particular the tube spring 14 counterclockwise. Thus, the tops of the sole edges are no longer overlapped by the overlapping surfaces 19, and the ski boot is released in the upward direction of the ski. In this case, this vertical release is facilitated by the upward sloping upwardly inclined surfaces 19 ', where the front sole end can slip upwards out of the binding. The aforementioned pivoting of the housing 7 is also initiated when the ski boot sole should be urged parallel to the ski upper side in the ski longitudinal direction with great force against the housing 7. This can be done, for example, in an "untypical" backward fall of a skier. As a rule, then acts in such a fall a large force on the ski boot in the upward direction, so that the ski boot is triggered in the upward direction of the ski. Optionally, however, also act on the ski boot, a large torque with respect to the shoe vertical axis, so that the ski boot is triggered in the sideways direction. As in particular from Fig. 3 As can be seen, the overlapping surfaces 19 of the sole holders 16 are inclined in the ski direction, whereby they rise towards the center of the ski. This has the consequence that acts on the sole holder 16 even then a force in sideways-triggering direction when attacked on the ski boot sole only a force in the upward direction. This is advantageously achieved that at a Backward spin fall the upward forces acting on the shoe forces contribute to a sideways release of the shoe.

Instead of the drawing in the 8 and 9 shown two-part base part 1 may also be a one-piece base part 1 may be provided, in particular a retractable in a ski in the ski longitudinal direction rail system base part which is positively and / or non-positively fixable on the rail system.
