Definitions
- the invention relates to a switching device according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Switching devices which, when certain predetermined electrical states occur in a line leading through the switching device, automatically open the switching contacts of the switching device and thus interrupt the flow of current in the line.
- Such switching devices are referred to as circuit breakers or circuit breakers.
- electromagnetic releases are known and widely used, which have a coil in which an armature is movably arranged. In the event of a short circuit, a magnetic field is generated in the coil, which causes the armature to move, which in turn causes the switching contacts of the relevant switching device to open.
- the EP 570 603 A1 shows a circuit breaker with a single key switch that a single trigger works, which has two coils. These coils have Although opposing windings are connected or are correspondingly connected in opposite directions, this, however, serves a safety function of the switching device, which should only be triggered when only one of the coils is energized.
- the EP 570 603 A1 does not show any individual switching paths to each of which a trigger is assigned and also does not address the problem of switching arcs.
- the DE 492 262 C describes only a single switching path with contacts 6 and 7, a single release being provided with two coils connected or wound in opposite directions. The subject of arcing when separating the contacts is discussed in the DE 492 262 C not mentioned.
- the U.S. 5,684,443 A shows a series connection of two switching devices, as is also shown in column 3, lines 50 to 55 of U.S. 5,684,443 A is described.
- the U.S. 5,684,443 A does not even show a switching device with two switching sections, and thus also not two triggers, which are each assigned to a switching section.
- the U.S. 5,684,443 A Switching arcs not mentioned.
- the object of the invention is therefore to provide a switching device of the type mentioned above, with which the disadvantages mentioned can be avoided, which has a long service life and low contact erosion, and with which a defective circuit can be quickly switched off in the event of a short circuit.
- the Figures 2 to 7 show a schematic representation or representations of assemblies of a preferred embodiment of a switching device 1 with a first switching path 2 with first switching contacts 3 and a second switching path 4 with second switching contacts 5, the first switching path 2 having a first electromagnetic release 6 with a first coil winding 7 , the first coil winding 7 having a first winding direction 8, the second switching path 4 having a second electromagnetic release 9 with a second coil winding 10, the second coil winding 10 having a second winding direction 11, the first switching contacts 3 and the second switching contacts 5 are coupled for essentially simultaneous actuation, and wherein the first switching path 2 and the second switching path 4 are arranged next to one another in the switching device 1, the first winding direction 8 being opposite to the second winding direction 11.
- the switching device 1 in question has at least a first switching path 2 and a second switching path 4, wherein according to the in Fig. 2 a preferred embodiment shown schematically, a third switching path 18 can also be provided. Further switching paths can also be provided.
- a conductive connection or the current path through the switching device 1, which leads from a first connection terminal 27 of the switching device 1 to a second connection terminal 28 of the switching device 1, is referred to as the switching path 2, 4, 18.
- the first and second connection terminals 27, 28 are shown in FIG Fig. 2 provided with the same reference numerals for all switching paths 2, 4, 18.
- each of the switching paths 2, 4, 18 switching contacts 3, 5, 19 are arranged, which are each formed from at least one fixed contact 29 and one movable contact 30, whereby multiple interruptions of the switching paths 2, 4, 18 can also be provided.
- First switching contacts 3 are arranged in the first switching path 2
- second switching contacts 5 are arranged in the second switching path 4
- third switching contacts 19 are arranged in the optionally provided third switching path 18.
- the respective fixed contacts 29 and the respective movable contacts 30 are each designated with the same reference number and additionally with the reference number of the respective switching path 2, 4, 18 to which these are assigned.
- the movable contacts 30 of the individual switching paths 2, 4, 18 are preferably each controlled by a switch lock 35.
- the first switching contacts 3, the second switching contacts 5 and any further switching contacts 19 are coupled for essentially simultaneous actuation, it being provided in particular that the switching locks 35 preferably provided in each case are coupled to one another.
- An electromagnetic release 6, 9, 20 is arranged in each of the switching paths 2, 4, 18, therefore a first release 6, a second release 9 and possibly a third release 20. It is preferably provided that the first release 6 and / or the second trigger 9 and / or the third trigger 20 are designed and arranged in the switching device 1 in such a way that when a predeterminable electrical state occurs, in particular a short circuit, in the first switching path 2 or the second switching path 4 or the third Switching path 18 cause switching contacts 3, 5, 19 to open.
- the switching device 1 in question is therefore designed as a so-called self-switch, in particular the design of the same as a line circuit breaker 26 being provided.
- Fig. 1 shows a typical circuit-related environment of an objective switching device 1 with a load 33, a short circuit being represented by the dashed line 32.
- Each of the electromagnetic releases 6, 9, 20 has a coil winding 7, 10, 21 or a coil body.
- a movable armature is arranged which, according to a preferred embodiment, drives a non-conductive plunger.
- the respective coil winding 7, 10, 21 is part of the respective current path or the respective switching path 2, 4, 18 and is therefore traversed by the current flowing through the switching device 1. It can be provided that the coil windings 7, 10, 21 each have only a partial current flowing through them. At a certain level of the current, the magnetic field generated by the coil winding 7, 10, 21 is sufficient to drive the armature and thus also the preferably provided tappet, which tappet emerges from the trigger 6, 9, 20 and the switching contacts 3, 5, 19 causes.
- the individual switching paths 2, 4, 18 of the switching device 1 are arranged next to one another in the switching device 1, therefore the first switching path 2 and the second switching path 4 are arranged next to one another, and if a third switching path 18 is provided, this is next to the second switching path 4 in the switching device 1 arranged.
- the individual switching paths 2, 4, 18 therefore have the same structural units.
- Arranging the switching paths 2, 4, 18 next to one another therefore preferably means that the respectively identical assemblies of the individual switching paths 2, 4, 18 are arranged next to one another in the housing of the switching device 1.
- the Figures 3 to 7 each show such subassemblies of essentially similar design, which are arranged next to one another, although the remaining subassemblies and the housing of the corresponding switching device 1 are not shown.
- first coil winding 7 and the second coil winding 10 are arranged essentially parallel next to one another, and that a possibly further provided third coil winding 21 is arranged essentially parallel next to the second coil winding 10.
- the coil windings 7, 10, 21 are each in a specific direction or corresponding a certain winding direction 8, 11, 22 wound.
- This winding direction 8, 11, 22 can be referred to as right-handed or left-handed, or as clockwise or counterclockwise.
- the first switching path 2 therefore has a first electromagnetic release 6 with a first coil winding 7, which first coil winding 7 has a first winding direction 8.
- the second switching path 4 has a second electromagnetic release 9 with a second coil winding 10, which second coil winding 10 has a second winding direction 11. If the switching device 1 has a third switching path 18, the third switching path 18 has a third electromagnetic release 20 with a third coil winding 21, which third coil winding 21 has a third winding direction 22.
- the first winding direction 8 is formed opposite to the second winding direction 11. This is for example in the Figures 4 and 6 clearly visible.
- the third winding direction 22 is formed opposite to the second winding direction 11. This is for example in Fig. 7 clearly visible. Due to the different winding directions 8, 11, 22 of adjacent coil windings 7, 10, 21 it can be achieved that the resulting magnetic field generated by the coil windings 7, 10, 21 itself does not have an unfavorable magnetic flux direction and high flux density in the area of the switching contacts 3, 5, 19, and thus has no negative influence on the arc generated during a shutdown process, i.e. when the switching contacts 3, 5, 19 are opened or separated, in that it is caused by the magnetic action of the triggers 6, 9, 20 between the switching contacts 3 , 5, 19 is held.
- the first switching path 2 is assigned a first arc extinguishing device 12 including a first arc path 13, and that the second switching path 4 is assigned a second arc extinguishing device 14 including a second arc path 15.
- the third switching path 18 is assigned a third arc extinguishing device 23 comprising a third arc travel path 24.
- the arc extinguishing devices 12, 14, 23 furthermore preferably each comprise one Arcing plate assembly 31, which in the Figures 3 to 6 is shown.
- the arc path 13, 15, 24 each represents the connection from the switching contacts 3, 5, 19 to the arc splitter arrangement 31.
- the first winding direction 8 and the second winding direction 11 are designed in such a way that the magnetic fields of the first and second triggers 6, 9 in the event of a short circuit, the arcs occurring when the first and second switching contacts 3, 5 open in the direction of the first and second second arc extinguishing devices 12, 14 direct or drive or at least not hinder their migration in this direction. It is preferably provided that the magnetic fields of the first and second triggers 6, 9 each generate a Lorenz force acting in the direction of the arc extinguishing devices 12, 14 in the area of the contact points in the event of a short circuit. The same applies to the preferred design of the switching device 1 with three switching paths.
- the magnetic effect of the coil windings 7, 10, 21 on a short-circuit disconnection arc can be improved even further by arranging a first ferromagnetic plate 16 on only one side of the first arc path 13 and a second ferromagnetic plate 17 on only one side of the second arc path 15 is arranged, and that the first ferromagnetic plate 16 is arranged in relation to the first arc path 13 on a different side than the second ferromagnetic plate 17 in relation to the second arc path 15.Each of the two arc paths 13, 15 is therefore only one ferromagnetic plate 16 , 17 assigned, which laterally delimits the relevant arc path 13, 15, whereby it is preferably provided that the respective other side of the arc path 13, 15 is delimited by a plastic plate.
- the ferromagnetic plates 16, 17, 25 are preferably encased on all sides with an insulating jacket, in particular embedded or overmolded in a plastic.
- the preferred side on which the relevant ferromagnetic plates 16, 17, 25 are preferably arranged depends on the winding direction 8, 11, 22 of the respective coil windings 7, 10, 21. It is preferably provided that the ferromagnetic plates 16, 17, 25 based on the winding direction as shown in the Figures 3 to 7 are arranged, which are described below.
- the Figures 3 to 6 show a preferred embodiment of an assembly of two Triggers 6, 9, two switching contacts 3, 5 and two arc extinguishing devices 12, 14.
- the first winding direction 8 of the first coil winding 7 is to the right, and the first ferromagnetic plate 16 is in precisely this direction of view arranged on the right side of the first arc path 13.
- the second winding direction 11 of the second coil winding 10 is to the left, and the second ferromagnetic plate 17 is arranged on the left side of the second arc path 15.
- Fig. 7 shows the release 6, 9, 20 and the fixed contacts 29 associated parts of the first, second and third arc path 13, 15, 24 of a switching device 1 with three switching paths 2, 4, 18.
- the coil winding shown on the far left is the first in this illustration
- Coil winding 7 denotes whose first winding direction 8 is to the right in the direction of view of the illustration.
- the second winding direction 11 of the second coil winding 10 arranged next to it is to the left, and the third winding direction 22 of the third coil winding 21 also shown next to the second coil winding 10 is again to the right.
- the ferromagnetic plates are arranged alternately to the adjacent switching path 2, 4, 18, so the third ferromagnetic plate 25 is arranged on a different side than the second ferromagnetic plate in relation to the third arc path 24, of which only a part is shown Plate 17 based on the second arc path 15, of which only a part is also shown.

Description
Fig. 3 derUS 5 684 443 A zeigt eine Serienschaltung zweier Schaltgeräte, wie dies auch in Spalte 3, Zeile 50 bis 55 derUS 5 684 443 A beschrieben ist.
Dabei zeigt:

Fig. 2 bis 7 zeigen eine schematische Darstellung bzw.
Fig. 4 und 6 gut zu erkennen.
Fig. 3 bis 6 dargestellt ist.
