Claims (15)

  1. Vorrichtung zur Überwachung der Funktionsfähigkeit einer Signalverbindung zwischen einer Steuereinheit (5) und einer Balise (4), wobei die Signalverbindung wenigstens teilweise durch wenigstens ein Verbindungskabel (7) bereitgestellt wird,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
    die Vorrichtung (9) einen Überwachungssignalgenerator (10), wenigstens ein Mittel zum Bestimmen eines Verbindungskabelstroms (I) und wenigstens eine Auswertungseinheit (13) aufweist, wobei ein Überwachungssignal mit einer Überwachungsfrequenz in das Verbindungskabel (7) einspeisbar ist, wobei der Verbindungskabelstrom (I) bestimmbar ist, wobei ein Stromanteil mit der Überwachungsfrequenz bestimmbar ist, wobei eine unzulässige Funktionsfähigkeit der Signalverbindung detektierbar ist, falls ein Stromwert des Stromanteils niedriger als ein vorbestimmter Schwellenwert ist.
  2. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Vorrichtung (9) ferner wenigstens ein Mittel zum nicht-galvanischen Einspeisen des Überwachungssignals in das Verbindungskabel (7) aufweist.
  3. Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Überwachungsfrequenz niedriger als eine Betriebsfrequenz eines Betriebssignals ist, das von der Steuereinheit über die Signalverbindung zur Balise (4) übertragen wird.
  4. Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Überwachungsfrequenz so gewählt ist, dass sie ungleich zu 50 Hz und/oder ungleich zu 60 Hz und/oder ungleich zu einem oder mehr entsprechenden Obertönen und/oder Untertönen ist.
  5. Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Überwachungssignal während der Übertragung eines Betriebssignals über die Signalverbindung einspeisbar ist.
  6. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Überwachungssignal dem Betriebssignal überlagerbar ist.
  7. Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein Alarmsignal erzeugbar ist und/oder ein überwachter Schalter aktivierbar ist, falls eine unzulässige Funktionsfähigkeit detektiert wird.
  8. Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Überwachungssignalgenerator (10) und/oder das wenigstens eine Mittel zum Messen eines Verbindungskabelstroms (I) und/oder die wenigstens eine Auswertungseinheit (9) durch die Steuereinheit (5) oder von der Steuereinheit (5) getrennt bereitgestellt wird / werden.
  9. Verfahren zur Überwachung der Funktionsfähigkeit einer Signalverbindung zwischen einer Steuereinheit (5) und einer Balise (4), wobei die Signalverbindung wenigstens teilweise durch wenigstens ein Verbindungskabel (7) bereitgestellt wird, wobei ein Überwachungssignal mit einer Überwachungsfrequenz in das Verbindungskabel (7) eingespeist wird, wobei ein Verbindungskabelstrom (I) bestimmt wird, wobei ein Stromanteil mit einer Überwachungsfrequenz bestimmt wird, wobei eine unzulässige Funktionsfähigkeit dieser Signalverbindung detektiert wird, falls ein Stromwert des Stromanteils niedriger als ein vorbestimmter Schwellenwert ist.
  10. Verfahren nach Anspruch 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Überwachungssignal nicht-galvanisch eingespeist wird.
  11. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 9 bis 10, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Überwachungsfrequenz niedriger als eine Betriebsfrequenz eines Betriebssignals ist, das von der Steuereinheit über die Signalverbindung zur Balise (4) übertragen wird.
  12. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 9 bis 11, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Überwachungsfrequenz ungleich zu 50 Hz und/oder ungleich zu 60 Hz und/oder ungleich zu einem oder mehr entsprechenden Obertönen und/oder Untertönen gewählt wird.
  13. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 9 bis 12, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Überwachungssignal während der Übertragung eines Betriebssignals über die Signalverbindung eingespeist wird.
  14. Verfahren nach Anspruch 13, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Überwachungssignal dem Betriebssignal überlagert wird.
  15. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 9 bis 14, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein Alarmsignal erzeugt wird und/oder ein überwachter Schalter aktiviert wird, falls eine unzulässige Funktionsfähigkeit detektiert wird.
