Definitions

  • the invention relates to a plug for plugging into a socket, in particular for the connection of an attachment and / or trailer to a vehicle, preferably according to the ISOBUS standard.
  • the ISOBUS standard is used in particular in agriculture and / or in the truck sector.
  • a common application are tractors with equipment supplied with power and / or control signals.
  • the plug is constructed of a multi-part housing having a front housing part and a rear housing part, wherein the housing front part and the housing rear part are fixed by screwing by means of a thread to each other.
  • the housing front part can, for example, form the contact area for connection to the socket, and the housing rear part can, for example, have the connection area for the connecting line conductively connected to the contact area.
  • the connection area thus serves to connect contacts of the plug to the connecting line and / or to be able to position contacts fixed to the connecting line in the front housing part or the contact area in the front housing part.
  • a contact insert may also be accommodated in the front housing part and / or the rear housing part which carries the contacts and positions them in the front housing part.
  • Housing front part is therefore particularly designed so that the shape of the front housing part and the arrangement of the contacts in the housing front part are adapted to the socket to a contact area of the plug to connect with a contact area of the socket.
  • the shape of the front housing part and the arrangement of the contacts in the front housing part are so far mostly given by a corresponding standardization.
  • the bipartite nature of the housing offers the advantage that the connecting lead of the connector can be exchanged at any time by separating the housing front part and the housing rear part of the connector from one another.
  • the connecting line is inserted through a housing connection opening of the housing rear part in the housing rear part.
  • Individual cores of the connecting cable can then be crimped with the contacts in a manner known per se, for example by screwing. Soldering or the like.
