Claims (14)

  1. Device for connecting a conductor including:
    - a guide barrel (1, 21) for guiding the conductor towards:
    - a leaf spring (5, 25) cooperating with a terminal (9, 29) to produce an opening (7, 27) for the passage of the conductor of variable size at the mouth of the barrel (1, 21);
    - a movable lever (2, 22) that is movable between two stable positions including a profiled part (4, 24) cooperating with the leaf spring (5, 25) such that in a first position, the leaf spring (5, 25) is strained by the lever (2, 22) in an equilibrium position in which the opening (7, 27) is at maximum and positioned facing the outlet of the guide barrel (1, 21) and in a second position, the spring (5, 25) is released and the opening (7, 27) tends to close, the shape of the profiled part (4, 24) allowing the transition from one to the other of these positions;
    characterized in that it comprises means for triggering (10, 30) the lever (2, 22) by the conductor when it has passed through the opening (7, 27), the actuation of said triggering means (10, 30) by the conductor resulting in the lever (2, 22)/spring (5, 25) equilibrium in the first position being broken and on the one hand shifting the spring leaf (5, 25) from its strained position allowing connection to its released position preventing connection, and on the other hand shifting the lever (2, 22) being made to transition from its first to its second position, the triggering means consisting of a screen (10, 30) that is positioned, in the direction of insertion of the conductor, behind said opening (7, 27) in the strained position of the leaf spring (5, 25), said screen (10, 30) being linked to the lever (2, 22) and driving the movement of the latter when it is struck by a conductor being inserted, breaking the equilibrium established between the strained spring (5, 25) and the lever (2, 22) in the first position.
  2. Connection device according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the screen (10) forms part of a triggering member (11), said member (11) and the lever (2) including mutual driving means, the triggering member (11) being capable of driving the lever (2) to break the equilibrium in the first position and the lever (2) being capable of driving the triggering member (11) by transitioning from the second position to the first position including the strained leaf spring (5) in the equilibrium position.
  3. Connection device according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the triggering member (11) and the lever (2) are pivotably mounted, the mutual driving means consisting of a protuberance (13) protruding from one and capable of engaging with a void (12) in the other.
  4. Connection device according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the lever (2) and the triggering member (11) share one and the same pivoting shaft (3).
  5. Connection device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the profiled part (4) has an intermediate hard point (4') separating two parts of the profile allowing the spring (5) to be placed under strain and to be released, respectively, with a view to adjusting the force of the triggering member (11) according to its position but also with a view to adjusting it equilibrium position under strain.
  6.   7. Connection device according to the preceding claim, characterized in that said terminal (9) is conductive and has a part that is seemingly parallel to the direction of insertion, to which the second portion (8) of the leaf spring (5) is attached.
  8. Connection device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it includes a housing (B) in which the guide barrel (1) is formed and from which the lever (2) protrudes.
  9. Connection device (20) according to Claim 1, characterized in that the lever (22) incorporates the guide barrel (21).
  10. Connection device (20) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the screen (30) is formed in one piece with the lever (22), the terminal (29) forming a window (27) that is placed between the barrel (21) and the screen (30), to which window is attached a V-shaped leaf spring (25) widening in the direction of the guide barrel (21), a first branch (26) of the V being attached to one edge of the window (27) and a second branch (28) forming the variable opening with the opposite edge of the window (27), the screen (30) actuated by the lever (22) closing the V to open the opening in the first position and releasing the second branch (28) in the direction of said opposite edge to close it.
  11. Connection device (20) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the lever (22) is rotatable about a pivoting shaft (23).
  12. Connection device (20) according to one of Claims 9 to 11, characterized in that the pivoting shaft (23) and the terminal (29) are rigidly connected to a housing (B) from which the part containing the guide barrel (21) of the lever (22) protrudes.
  13. Connection device according to either of Claims 8 and 12, characterized in that the housing (B) is part of a modular electrical line protection device housing of circuit breaker and/or differential interrupter type.
  14. Connection device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it includes means for obturating the guide barrel (1, 21) in the absence of a conductor.
