  • the socket occupies a large volume, for example, the cuboid shape described.
  • the parts of the outer shell can be stacked flat.
  • the invention also generally relates to a socket which can be transferred from a transport configuration into a payload configuration.
  • non-destructive transfer from the payload configuration to the transport configuration is possible.
  • a pedestal wherein between the first adhesive flap and the first web portion a first crease line is provided and in which between the first web portion and the second web portion a second crease line is provided and the second web portion in a first direction out of the plane defined by the first web portion and points out the first adhesive flap in a second direction from the plane defined by the first web portion and the second direction of the first direction is substantially opposite.
  • the first web section and the second web section form a right angle with one another in the useful configuration.
  • the web portions can provide high stability in different directions with different loading of the socket.
  • the web sections also stabilize each other. Therefore, it is also advantageous if, alternatively or additionally, the third web section and the fourth web section form a right angle with one another in the useful configuration.
  • a socket according to the present invention may already have sufficient stability if only one reinforcing web is used. It is advantageous to use two reinforcing webs in the rule. There these two webs alone can ensure a sufficient stability of the base for common purposes, it is particularly advantageous if the two reinforcing webs are arranged mirror images of each other. This ensures a clear structure of the base, which makes, for example, the transfer of the base of the transport position into a use position intuitive and easier. It is particularly useful if in the outer shell of the base, namely advantageously provided in the side walls fold lines.
  • the base can therefore have a first fold line in the second side wall and a second fold line opposite in the fourth side wall. These two opposing fold lines define a plane.
  • the two reinforcing webs when they are arranged in mirror image to each other, defines a plane, namely the mirror plane of this mirror symmetry. It is advantageous if the plane defined by the fold lines coincides with this mirror plane. This results in a completely symmetrical base, which is designed to be stable for a variety of loads and can be easily converted from a Nutzkonfiguration in a transport configuration and vice versa. For this purpose, it is sufficient to pull the fold lines apart within the described level. This movement then causes the second and fourth sidewalls of the pedestal to be folded upon themselves and the first and third sidewalls to be moved towards each other.
  • Umlegelaschen can facilitate in the upper level, so to speak in the table level, the placement, for example, a shelf on the pedestal.
  • the lower level ie the floor level of the base, they ensure that the base has a better footing on a surface.
  • a substrate can be a floor.
  • the base is placed on a pallet, for example on a quarter pallet. This facilitates the transport of the base with and without attached shelf.
  • the Umlegelaschen may be provided in particular at the lower ends of the side walls of the base and insertion tabs. Such in the middle of the side walls provided tabs can be inserted into receiving grooves of typical quarter pallets.

  • the advantages of the socket construction as such are complemented by advantages resulting from the ease of manufacture of the socket.
  • advantages provided by the method of manufacturing the socket are enhanced and enhanced by the advantages of the finished socket as an article.
  • steps are preferably carried out in the order of their enumeration. Often it is also possible to swap the order of individual steps. For example, it is possible for the connecting means to be applied to the first or second blank (or both) before it is made available for carrying out the further method steps.
  • the first blank is larger than the second blank and in particular it is then advantageous to apply the bonding agents to the first blank.
  • connecting means As an alternative to applying connecting means to the first blank, it is possible to apply these connecting means to the second blank.
  • the first blank ie the blank for the outer shell, comprises sections for the four side walls. In the description of the elements of the blank, the following description does not always strictly distinguish between an element as part of the blank and an element as part of the finished base for greater readability.

  • connection means for other fasteners, it is sufficient if they are provided only on a blank. This is especially true for adhesive joints.
  • all Connecting means ie, for example, all adhesive surfaces only on a blank, usually provided on the first blank.
  • the blank for the reinforcing web has four or five sections.
  • the middle section corresponds to the second web section and the third web section or the second web section, a section for a connecting section and the third web section.
  • the second blank may advantageously comprise both sections for a first reinforcing web and sections for a second reinforcing web.

  • the reinforcing webs can each again comprise a plurality of web sections. Consequently, the central portion of the reinforcing ribs may comprise a plurality of separate sections, for example, again a section for a second web section, a section for a third web section and also a section for a connecting section.
  • the second blank should have a fold line by which the first reinforcing web and the second reinforcing web are separated from each other and along which the reinforcing webs can be folded towards each other.
  • this third fold line extends at least substantially perpendicular to the first fold line and / or second fold line, which are provided in the outer shell.
  • the second blank is placed on prepared splices of the first blank so that in the process a connection of sections of the first reinforcing web to the first blank takes place.
  • a pressure-resistant connection between the first end portion of the first reinforcing web and the second side wall and a pressure-resistant connection between the second end portion of the first reinforcing web and the fourth side wall and also a zugbelastbare connection between the central portion of the first reinforcing web and the third side wall is thus made become.
  • folding or flipping "under construction" of a connection it is also referred to herein as folding or flipping "under construction" of a connection.
  • the further method steps relating to the outer shell correspond to the method for producing a base with a reinforcing web.
  • the folding over of the outer part of the second side wall results in not only providing the outer shell in a suitable form, but also in providing a pressure-resistant connection between the first End portion of the second reinforcing web and the second side wall is made. Therefore, it is a flipping of a part of the second side wall to make a pressure-resistant connection.
  • a pressure-resistant connection between the second end portion of the second reinforcing web and the fourth side wall can be produced.
  • the blank is designed for a substantially cuboidal base.
  • the blank has a portion for the third side wall which is substantially rectangular and comprises two longitudinal edges and two transverse edges, wherein on one of the longitudinal edges a portion for the first side wall is hinged and wherein at the transverse edges respectively sections for the second side wall and the third Side wall are hinged.
  • Such a blank thus has a substantially T-shape.
  • the blank has on the adjacent section for the second side wall, so to speak on the outside of this section, an adhesive tab which is used to connect the second side wall to the first side wall.
  • the adhesive flap is thus, so to speak, at the free end of the section for the second side wall.
  • a direct connection between the section for the first side wall and the section for the third side wall is provided, for example in the T-shaped blank described above, then it makes sense between the section for the first side wall and the section for the third side wall to provide a line of weakness.
  • This line of weakness allows for a simple folding of the sections towards each other.
  • a strip-shaped adhesive surface at least parallel to the first fold line, which serves as a connecting means for producing a pressure-resistant connection with at least one reinforcing web. It is also useful, such a strip-shaped adhesive surface also parallel to second fold line provide. If a base with two reinforcing webs is produced in the context of the method, it is advantageous to provide a strip-shaped adhesive surface on each side of each fold line. In this very simple manner, the required pressure-resistant connections between the second and the fourth side surface and the reinforcing webs can be produced.
  • This adhesive surface can in turn produce a tensile connection with a reinforcing web as a connecting means in the sense of the method claim 10. It is advantageous in the context of the method, when the adhesive surface is placed so that it produces a zugbelastbare connection with a possibly existing connection portion of the reinforcing web.
  • a strip-shaped adhesive surface is provided in a corresponding manner on the first side wall. With this then a zugbelastbare connection can be made with the other reinforcing web.
  • the strip-shaped adhesive surfaces on the first and on the third wall expediently extend in the direction of the side edges of the base, based on the finished base, ie from top to bottom.
  • the method is particularly simple to carry out if the first blank is in one piece. A further simplification results, even if the second blank is in one piece.
  • Fig. 1 shows a base according to the invention in a perspective view.
  • the base 10 has a first side wall 12, adjacent thereto a second side wall 14, adjacent to a third side wall 16 and adjacent thereto a fourth side wall 18.
  • the first side wall 12 is conceivable as a front wall and the opposite third side wall 16 as a rear wall.
  • the wall 14 then forms the right side wall and the wall 18 forms the left side wall.
  • a first reinforcing web 20 and opposite him a second reinforcing web 40 is provided for the base 10.
  • the two reinforcing webs are designed substantially symmetrical to each other and could be mirrored on a plane extending in the direction through the center of the base to each other.
  • first reinforcing web 20 will be described in detail for the sake of simplicity.
  • the base 10 further includes a third web portion 26 and hinged thereto a fourth web portion 28.
  • the second web portion 24 and the third web portion 26 are connected by a connecting portion 30th connected. This one is for the two articulated adjacent web sections. Via the connecting portion 30, a connection, namely a tensile connection to the third side wall 16 is made.
  • a connection namely a tensile connection to the third side wall 16 is made.
  • the first web portion 22 is further connected to the fourth side wall 18.
  • the fourth web portion 28 is connected via the second adhesive tab 34 with the first side wall 14.
  • the adhesive tabs 32 and 34 produce a pressure-resistant connection. This pressure-resistant connection can be made by the mere mechanical arrangement of the adhesive tabs. We suggest her name, but the tabs are additionally glued to the adjacent side walls.
  • the connecting portion 30 is extended by a first anchor tab 36 and by a second anchor tab 38, which are punched out centrally from portions of the second web portion 24 and the third web portion 26.
  • the anchor tabs are hinged to the connecting portion.
  • the anchor tabs allow a larger area and more stable connection of the first connecting web 20 with the outer shell and concretely with the third side wall 16. Adhesive surfaces between the connecting portion 30 and the third side wall 16 and advantageous additional bonding surfaces between the side wall and the two anchor tabs can be easily a produce tensile load connection.
  • first crease line 42 is provided between the first adhesive tab 32 and the first web portion 22.
  • second crease line 44 is provided between the first web portion 22 and the second web portion 24 .
  • third crease line 46 is provided between the fourth web portion 28 and the second adhesive flap 34. It is advantageous that the buckling direction along the fold lines 42 and 44 and also along the fold lines 46 and 48 is oriented opposite.
  • the reinforcing webs can also have other shapes than in Fig. 1 displayed. While Fig. 1 shows a shape with few sections, which extend in the payload configuration substantially perpendicular to each other, are also round and polygonal courses of the reinforcing webs in the context of the present invention. Therefore, more bending line can be provided as in the embodiment of Fig. 1 , The corresponding fold lines generally run all parallel to each other.
  • Fig. 2 shows the socket according to the invention in the transfer from a transport configuration in the Nutzkonfiguration.
  • the second side wall 14 and the fourth side wall 18 are kinked.
  • a first fold line 50 is provided in the second side wall 14 for this purpose
  • a second fold line 52 is provided in the fourth side wall 18 for this purpose.
  • Such a fold line may comprise one or more lines of weakness.
  • a fold line consists of two parallel weakening lines, as indicated. The two lines of weakness are separated by a small distance, which is expediently about two to five times the material thickness. In this way, a clean and tension-free folding of the side walls can be achieved. It can also be seen that even along the first to fourth crease lines instead of the right angles, more straight angles are present. In this case, the mentioned opposite orientation of the buckling along the fold lines 42 and 44 and 46 and 48 is advantageous.
  • pressure is essentially sufficient for two points in order to transfer the entire socket from this configuration into the useful configuration. It is sufficient to exert pressure on the outside of the area of the first fold line 50 and opposite to the area of the second fold line 52. Since pressure-resistant connections are provided adjacent to these fold lines, the pressure exerted on the outer shell can be transmitted to the inner compartment and in particular to the first and the second reinforcement web. Furthermore, pressure is transmitted via the outer walls. The transfer of the second side wall and the fourth side wall into a stretched configuration causes the distance between the first side wall 12 and the third side wall 16 to increase. This change of the outer shell also causes a change in the configuration of the reinforcing webs.
  • Fig. 3 shows in perspective view from the same direction the converted into the transport configuration pedestal. It can be seen in this flat configuration, in particular the first side wall 12 and portions of the second and the fourth side wall. It can also be seen the opposite fold lines, namely the right fold line 50 and 50 left the second fold line 52.
  • This configuration is obviously very space-saving.
  • pressure has to be applied only at two very prominent points, namely the outer folding lines, in order to quickly and easily transfer the base from this transport configuration into the useful configuration. The process is so intuitive that it can be easily and quickly practiced by untrained personnel.
  • Fig. 4 shows in another perspective view of the base, which is located approximately in its Nutzkonfiguration.
  • the view is essentially on the first side wall or front wall 12 and on the fourth side wall 18, which may also be referred to as the left side wall.
  • the corresponding side walls continue at the top in Umlegelaschen.
  • these tabs are circumferentially the tabs 54a, 54b, 54c and 54d.
  • they are advantageously supported on the reinforcing webs. So they offer in the "table level" of the base a good support surface, for example, to set up a shelf.
  • Umlegelaschen are provided at the lower edges of the side walls. Below the first side wall 12 while the fold-over tab 56a is visible and below the fourth side wall 18, the fold-over tab 56d visible.
  • These tabs can also be turned inwards, and provide for better support of the base on the floor or other element arranged underneath.
  • Such an element may be another socket, but will often be a pallet, for example a quarter pallet.
  • a pallet for example a quarter pallet.
  • Typical quarter pallets have receiving grooves that can accommodate these tabs. This results in a firmer connection between the base and arranged below pallet.
  • Fig. 5 shows a first step in the process for producing a socket according to the invention.

  • left and right sections for the side walls, namely for the second side wall 14 and the fourth side wall 18 are hinged.
  • the first side wall 12 is articulated on a longitudinal side of the third side wall 16.
  • Strip-shaped adhesive applications 60a, 60b, 60c and 60d are provided in parallel to these fold lines. These strip-shaped adhesive orders are referred to simplifying hereinafter as adhesive strips.
  • Each further adhesive strip is provided centrally on the section for the first side wall and in a corresponding arrangement centrally on the section for the third side wall. These are the adhesive strips 60e and 60f.
  • adhesive strips 60g and 60h are provided on the portion for the first side wall 12. These adhesive strips serve later to connect this section with the sections for the second side wall 14 and for the fourth side wall 18. Therefore, these sections need not be directly connected to the side panels in the blank shown but can be connected to the extension tabs provided in the side walls become. This will be explained in more detail in the following figures.
  • Well recognizable is a general Advantageous feature of the invention: All required glue lines can be applied in parallel in the same direction. In this respect, a very simple economic method can also be used to apply the adhesive jobs. This represents a significant further advantage of the method of manufacturing a socket as a whole.

From this situation, it is convenient to fold the second sidewall portion and the fourth sidewall portion inward along the fold lines 50 and 52. This can be done from both sides essentially with one hand, for example as indicated. In this case, the outer adhesive tabs 64a and 64b drawn in this view can be gripped. Alternatively, the blank can of course also be touched at other locations of the sections for the side walls.
