Description

The invention relates to a method for separating panel-shaped workpieces made of wood or wood substitute materials.

In the course of processing board-shaped wood or wood substitute materials, for example in the production of furniture, it is often necessary to provide board-shaped workpieces with the desired dimensions for further processing. These plate-shaped workpieces are separated from semi-finished products that are also plate-shaped and thereby isolated.

The workpieces are separated from the semi-finished products according to specified cutting patterns. These are regularly selected in such a way that the waste is low, ie that the largest possible total area of further processable materials is obtained from a plate-shaped semi-finished product. the end DE 10 2009 033 813 A1 a method according to the preamble of claim 1 is known. There, a large-format panel is first formatted by cutting back in stages across the entire width of the panel. This graded format is then separated using a separating cut. Then cuts are made that separate individual parts from this format. This procedure is repeated.

However, cutting out the individual plate-shaped workpieces from the semi-finished product is time-consuming, since the processing unit with which the workpieces are cut out from the semi-finished product often has to cover complicated travel paths.

The invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a method for separating panel-shaped workpieces made of wood or wood substitute materials, which can be carried out with shorter processing times.

The object is achieved by a method having the features of claim 1. The features of the dependent claims relate to advantageous embodiments. According to the invention, a plurality of cuts is first made, preferably starting from the edge contour of the semi-finished product. While these cuts are being made, the individual areas of the semi-finished product, which will later form the individual workpieces, remain a coherent structure. The workpieces are then separated by a further cut that connects the individual cuts. This cut preferably runs through the end points and/or end areas of the previously made cuts, resulting in a comb-like cutting pattern. The achievement of one of the previously made cuts by the further cut leads to the separation of a workpiece, i.e. to the complete separation of an area forming the workpiece from the remaining semi-finished product.

It is advantageous if the further cut for separating the workpieces is made along a line which is preferably oriented in the semi-finished product in such a way that the line runs transversely to the conveying direction of the semi-finished product during its processing.

According to the invention, the line has a stepped profile. In this way, a kind of strip of workpieces is created, which are separated with a further joint cut. After the separation of such a strip of semi-finished products, further strips of workpieces can then preferably be obtained by repeating the above separation method described are generated. In this case, the cutting pattern is preferably essentially characterized in that the semi-finished products arranged in a strip-like manner adjoin a common cutting line counter to the through-feed direction of the semi-finished product during processing. In contrast, the wall contours of the workpieces to be separated, pointing in the conveying direction, can have the most varied of geometries. In this context, it is advantageous if the edge contour of the semi-finished product entering the processing according to the method according to the invention is processed first, in particular on the edge contour pointing in the conveying or throughput direction. Starting from the edge contour produced in this way, a plurality of cuts are then initially made according to the method according to the invention, which are then connected by the further cut for separating the individual workpieces.

It is advantageous if the individual workpieces are held by a fixing device while the cuts are being made, in particular while the further cut is being made to separate the workpieces. The fixation advantageously of the workpiece and/or the remaining semi-finished product, in particular at the moment of its complete separation from the remaining semi-finished product, has a positive effect on a clean execution of the cuts, since until the complete completion of the cutting process the position, in particular of both plate areas to be separated, is ensured.

It can be advantageous if the fixing device is designed in such a way that it is able to fix all the workpieces of a strip of the cutting pattern at the same time. Alternatively or additionally, a plurality of fixing devices can also be present be, which allow the fixing of individual workpieces of a strip by fixing devices assigned to the individual workpieces.

Cuts are advantageously made by milling. Milling has the advantage that almost any cutting geometry or cutting pattern can be realized. In particular, the cutting direction of a milling cutter can be changed abruptly while the cut is being made.

The invention is based on the Figures 1 to 6 schematically explained in more detail.
  • 1 shows an exemplary cutting pattern according to the invention with a strip-like arrangement of the workpieces.
  • 2 and 3 show the semi-finished product 1 in various stages of implementation of the method according to the invention while ending cuts are made in the semi-finished product with simultaneous processing of the edge contour in the conveying direction.
  • 4 shows the semi-finished product 1 after the edge contour has been processed.

Die Fig. 5 und 6 zeigen das Halbzeug aus Fig. 1 unmittelbar vor und nach der Durchführung des weiteren Schnitts zur Vereinzelung der Werkstücke nach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren.the figure 5 and 6 show the semi-finished product 1 immediately before and after the implementation of the further cut for separating the workpieces according to the method according to the invention.

Advantageously, first a plate-shaped semi-finished product 1 runs in a conveying direction X in the area used for carrying out the method and not shown processing device. The inventive method can now be carried out, for example, in a sequence of processing steps resulting from the 1 , 2 , 3 , 5 and 6 results. In this case, first a plurality of cuts 4 are made with a suitable processing unit, for example a milling cutter separate the individual workpieces 2.1 to 2.7 from one another in the direction Y, which preferably runs transversely to the conveying direction X. While these process steps are being carried out, the workpieces 2.1 to 2.7 remain connected to the remaining semi-finished product 3. Depending on the exact design of the cutting plan, it is possible to provide workpieces - such as workpieces 2.8 and 2.9 in the example shown - which are arranged between the edge contour of the semi-finished product and the actual strip formed from workpieces 2.1 to 2.7. These workpieces 2.8 and 2.9, which can also be offcuts, are separated between the execution of individual cuts 4 ending in the semifinished product 1 by cuts 5 made at an appropriate angle.

After making the cuts ending in the semi-finished product, the semi-finished product 1 has the in figure 5 geometry shown. To the in 6 To achieve the illustrated separation of the workpieces 2.1 to 2.7 forming the strip 7, a further cut 8, which connects the cuts ending in the semi-finished product with one another, is carried out. The workpieces 2.1 to 2.7 are separated by the cut 8 . The remaining area of the semi-finished product 3 can now preferably also be cut analogously to the cutting pattern containing the workpieces 2.1 to 2.9 strip-shaped patterns are processed, preferably until the semi-finished product 1 has been completely processed into workpieces.

With regard to the order of the individual processing steps, it is also possible and particularly advantageous when using multiple units to carry out the cuts, in particular multiple milling spindles, if the separation of the workpieces 2.1 to 2.9 after the sequence in it 1 , 4 , 5 and 6 illustrated exemplary method according to the invention takes place. This provides that the edge contour 6 of the semi-finished product 1 pointing in the conveying direction X is first machined. This includes in particular the removal of offcuts or between the edge contour and the actual strip 7 of the workpieces 2.1 to 2.7 of workpieces 2.8 and 2.9 shown as examples.

If the edge contour 6 is processed in the conveying direction X as far as it is in figure 4 is shown, namely in such a way that, starting from the cutting line provided for the cut 8 in the conveying direction X, only one workpiece 2.1 to 2.7 adjoins the remaining area 3 of the semi-finished product 1 at each point of the semi-finished product 1, so the ones ending in the semi-finished product can now Cuts 4 are made in order to figure 5 geometry shown. Advantageously, if a number of processing units are available for simultaneous processing, a number of cuts 4 can be carried out simultaneously. As a result, this variant of the procedure is advantageous, for example, in the case of multi-spindle milling machines that are used to carry out the procedure.

The workpieces 2.1 to 2.7 are then also separated in this variant of the method as in FIGS figure 5 and 6 shown and described above.
