Description

  • The present invention relates to a door comprising detachable panels and to an oven wherein the door is used.
  • In cooking devices, especially in ovens, doors that provide access into the cooking chamber are produced multi-layered in order to increase the efficiency of heat insulation. In these doors, more than one panel parallel to each other are joined together such that a gap remains therebetween. At the joining points of these panels forming the door, leak-proofing that prevents liquid and dirt passage cannot be provided. Therefore, liquid and dirt accumulate in the gap inside the door in the course of time and cause an unfavorable appearance.
  • In the state of the art, detachable doors are used for solving this problem. The panels forming these doors can be cleaned by being detached from the main body and afterwards can be replaced. However, panels that are generally produced from glass can be damaged during these processes. Moreover, the user may cause serious safety problems by mounting the panels incorrectly. Furthermore, in the vast majority of these door systems, delicate processes that take a long time are required to be performed to be able to detach the door, and this causes user dissatisfaction.
  • In the state of the art European Patent Application No. EP2400226 , a door that comprises more than one plate is described, wherein the profile covering the upper side of the door is moved in a sliding manner and is completely removed from the door when needed. The plates forming the door are taken out by being pulled from the upper side of the door in the same direction as the profile.
  • In the state of the art United States of America Patent Application No. US2007251520 , a multi-layered door is described.
  • In the state of the art European Patent Application No. EP 1 076 210 A2 , a door suitable for using in ovens is described, wherein two support members are mounted to the upper end of each profile and enable the inner panel and the intermediate panels to be aligned while being mounted onto the outer panel.
  • The aim of the present invention is the realization of a door comprising easily and safely detachable panels.
  • The door realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the dependent claims thereof, comprises three panels disposed parallel to each other. The intermediate panel and the inner panel out of the panels produced from heat-resistant material have almost the same length. The intermediate panel and the inner panel mounted between the profiles located on the outer panel are placed from their lower sides into a bearing extending between the lower ends of the profiles.
  • The door of the present invention comprises a support member which is placed to the upper end of the profiles and against which the upper sides of the intermediate panel and inner panel are borne after being disposed to the bearing from their lower side during assembly. The support member comprises a first step against which the intermediate panel bears and a second step against which the inner panel bears. The steps support the panels from their two adjacent corners. By means of the support member, the panels are aligned properly before being fixed. Furthermore, the panels, produced preferably from glass, are prevented from being damaged by hitting each other.
  • A sheath is used which is disposed onto the profiles so as to cover the upper sides of the intermediate panel and inner panel. The sheath is mounted onto the profiles by means of the support members. The sheath both provides a decorative appearance by covering the upper portion of the panels and prevents liquid and dirt from entering into the gap between the panels. In this embodiment, the sheath forms the upper side of the door.
  • The door comprises one resilient locking element on each of the upper surface of the support members, preferably positioned so as to face upward, and two pins which are located at the lower side of the sheath and enable the sheath to stay on the profiles by being disposed into the locking elements during the assembly of the sheath. During assembly, the pins and the locking elements are aligned and the sheath is pushed downwards. During the detaching process, the sheath is slightly pulled upwards and after the pin is released from the locking elements, the detaching process is completed. Thus, the detaching and attaching processes are realized easily without the need of using any tool.
  • An indent is located at one corner of the inner panel and/or the intermediate panel, and a bracket is located opposite the indent on the support member whereto the inner panel and/or the intermediate panel is disposed. Thus, the related panel is enabled to be mounted in the correct direction and manner.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the sheath comprises a first retainer which extends downwards from the lower surface of the sheath and fixes the intermediate panel by entering between the intermediate panel and the inner panel, and a second retainer which fixes the inner panel by extending towards the outside of the inner panel. The intermediate panel and the inner panel are fixed by being compressed between the retainers and steps. In this embodiment, the sheath functions as a fixing member that fixes both of the panels.
  • In a further embodiment of the present invention, the sheath is detachably mounted onto the profiles.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, grooves are located on the bearing, wherein the lower sides of the intermediate panel and the inner panel are disposed. Thus, the panels are enabled to stay in a rigid manner before the sheath is mounted onto the profiles, and this facilitates the assembly process.
  • By means of the present invention, the door is attached and detached easily without using any tool. Thus, the panels that get dirty frequently can be cleaned periodically. Furthermore, since the risks of the panels hitting each other and being mounted incorrectly are eliminated, the assembly process is realized in a safe manner.

  • The door (1) suitable for using in ovens (C) comprises an outer panel (2), two opposite profiles (3) which are located on the inner surface of the outer panel (2) and extend parallel to each other almost along the outer panel (2) at the portions close to the lateral sides of the outer panel (2), an inner panel (4) which is disposed between the profiles (3) and faces the inner volume of the oven (C), at least one intermediate panel (5) located between the inner panel (4) and the outer panel (2), and a bearing (6) which extends between the lower ends of the profiles (3) and whereon the lower sides of the inner panel (4) and the intermediate panel (5) are disposed. After the profiles (3) are mounted onto the outer panel (2), the bearing (6) is mounted between the profiles (3). Afterwards, the intermediate panel (5) and the inner panel (4) are respectively attached onto the bearing (6) from their lower sides (Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 12, Figure 17).
  • The door (1) of the present invention comprises two support members (7) that are mounted to the upper end of each profile (3) and enable the inner panel (4) and the intermediate panel (5) to be aligned while being mounted onto the outer panel (2), and that have a first step (8) against which the intermediate panel (5) bears and a second step (9) against which the inner panel (4) bears. By means of the support member (7), the intermediate panel (5) and the inner panel (4) can be positioned parallel to the outer panel (2) before being fixed onto the outer panel (2). Furthermore, the panels (2, 4, 5) are prevented from being damaged by hitting each other. Thus, the door (1) can be attached again in a safe manner after being detached (Figure 3, Figure 4, Figure 5, Figure 6).
  • The door (1) comprises a sheath (10) which is mounted onto the profiles (3) and covers the gap between the upper side of the inner panel (4) and the outer panel (2) by extending longitudinally between the profiles (3). The sheath (10) both enables the panels (2, 4, 5) to be kept together and prevents dirt from entering into the door (1) by covering the gap between the panels (2, 4, 5). Furthermore, by means of the sheath (10), formation of steam inside the door (1) during the cooking process is prevented and the esthetic appearance of the door (1) is improved (Figure 7, Figure 9, Figure 15).
  • In a version of this embodiment, the sheath (10) comprises a first retainer (11) which extends downwards from the lower surface thereof so as to enter between the intermediate panel (5) and the inner panel (4) and which provides the intermediate panel (5) to be fixed. When the sheath (10) is mounted onto the profiles (3), the intermediate panel (5) remains between the first step (8) and the first retainer (11) and stays fixed (Figure 7, Figure 8, Figure 9).
  • In a version of this embodiment, the sheath (10) comprises a second retainer (12) which extends from the lower surface thereof towards the outer surface of the inner panel (4) and enables the inner panel (4) to be fixed. When the sheath (10) is mounted onto the profiles (3), the inner panel (4) remains between the second step (9) and the second retainer (12) and stays fixed (Figure 10, Figure 11, Figure 15).
  • By means of the first retainer (11) and the second retainer (12), the assembly of the door (1) is facilitated. After the inner panel (4) and the intermediate panel (5) are disposed between the profiles (3), the sheath (10) is fitted onto the profiles (3). As the sheath (10) is disposed, both panels (4, 5) are fixed simultaneously and the assembly process is completed.
  • The sheath (10) is detachably mounted onto the profiles (3). By the panels (2, 4, 5) being fixed by means of the sheath (10), the door (1), too, can be easily mounted and dismounted.
  • The door (1) comprises one resilient locking element (13) located on each of the upper surface of the support members (7), and two pins (14) which are located on the lower surface of the sheath (10) and enable the sheath (10) to be mounted onto the profiles (3) by being disposed into the locking elements (13). While the sheath (10) is being mounted, the pins (14) are aligned with the locking elements (13) and pushed downwards. Meanwhile, the pins (14) are seated into the locking elements (13) and thus enable the sheath (10) to be fixed onto the profiles (3). When desired to be detached, the sheath (10) is slightly pulled upwards. By means of the resilient structure of the locking element (13), the pin (14) expands the locking element (13) and thus is released from the locking element (13). After the pin (14) is released from the locking element (13), the locking element (13) returns to its initial state. By means of this structure, it is possible to easily attach and detach the sheath (10) and therefore the door (1) without using any equipment (Figure 4, Figure 6, Figure 14, Figure 17).
  • Further, the panels (2, 4, 5) are rectangular. In this embodiment, the door (1) comprises an indent (15) located at one corner of the inner panel (4) and/or the intermediate panel (5), and a bracket (16) which is located on one of the support members (7) and has the same shape as the indent (15). Thus, the inner panel (4) and the intermediate panel (5) having almost the same size and configuration are separated from each other and also the panel (4, 5) comprising an indent (15) is prevented from being mounted onto the profiles (3) incorrectly (Figure 13, Figure 14).
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the door (1) comprises at least two grooves (17) which are arranged on the bearing (6) and wherein the lower sides of the inner panel (4) and the intermediate panel (5) are disposed. In this embodiment, while being assembled, the inner panel (4) and the intermediate panel (5) are first seated into the groove (17) from their lower side and then bear against the support member (7). Thus, ease of assembly is provided (Figure 16).
  • By means of the present invention, the door (1) can be attached and detached easily without using any tool. Thus, the door (1) can be frequently cleaned. Furthermore, problems like mounting the inner panel (4) and the intermediate panel (5) to wrong places or the inner panel (4) and the intermediate panel (5) being damaged by hitting each other are eliminated by means of the elements such as the support member (7), the indent (15) and the bracket (16), and the assembly process is enabled to be performed in a safe manner.
