Description

The invention relates to a drain fitting with a floor drain valve and a device for automatically actuating the floor drain valve for a sanitary basin, in particular a bathtub, depending on the height of the water level in the sanitary basin. Furthermore, the invention relates to a bathtub, preferably a free-standing bathtub, which is equipped with such a device.
Conventional baths have, to be overflow safe, below their upper edge an overflow opening, on which a arranged on the outside of the tub overflow pipe is mounted. This is also typically the case with free-standing bathtubs.
However, the overflow pipe mounted on the outside of the tub is often considered aesthetically unpleasant. To improve the visual impression, chromed metal pipes are sometimes used as overflow pipes. Furthermore, a mechanically operating waste set for baths without pre-drilled overflow is already known from practice, which works in the manner of a so-called "click-clack" drain, but automatically opens at a water level of about 40 cm, the drain valve to flood a overflowing To prevent bathing water. The drain set allows the water to drain to a water level of about 30 cm and then closes the drain valve automatically. This mechanical waste set eliminates the need for an overflow hole and an overflow pipe on the tub wall. A disadvantage of this drain set, however, is that due to the medium term unavoidable contamination of the mechanism by soap, foam, hair, etc. the reliable triggering function is not guaranteed. The result is that the drain valve opens either too early and thus the desired water level is not reached, or that the drain valve opens too late and thus the overflow protection is not given.

From the GB 2 438 224 A An automatic bathtub filling and circulating system is known which controls a bathtub floor drain valve based on the height of the bathtub's water level as measured by a pressure sensor. The housing of the floor drain valve has above the valve body (plug) a connection in the form of a branching pipe, at the end remote from the valve body of the pressure sensor is arranged. In this arrangement is to be expected with deposits of soap, foam, hair, etc., which may affect the reliable operation of the pressure sensor.

In the EP 2 759 643 A2 discloses a safety system for a bathtub, in which a sensor for measuring the water level at the bottom of the tub or in the vicinity of the tub bottom is arranged. By this configuration, measurement inaccuracies can be caused by movements of bathing people very easily, whereby reliable reliability of a device for automatic actuation of a floor drain valve on a sanitary basin can not be guaranteed.

Furthermore, the describes DE 20 2006 012 663 U1 a device for detecting the water level in a provided with a drain set sanitary basin. The height of the water level is detected by a measuring device which is connected via a hose or a pipe with a formed on an annular adapter pipe socket. The water connection between the measuring device and the basin is made by drilling in a clamp body, which surrounds the annular adapter with a radial distance. The holes and the annulus between clamp body and adapter can be relatively easily soiled by soap, foam, hair, etc.

Based on this, the present invention seeks to provide a drain fitting and device of the type mentioned above, which makes it possible to produce overflow-proof baths without overflow opening in the tub wall, the device should provide reliable reliability.

This object is achieved by a pop-up waste and device with the features of claim 1. Preferred and advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the subclaims.
The inventive device comprises at least one of the height of the water level detecting pressure sensor which is arranged on a line which opens at a bottom opening of the basin or the bathtub, an electronic measuring and control device, are transmitted to the measuring signals of the pressure sensor, and an actuator for opening and / or closing the floor drain valve, the actuator being controlled by the measuring and control device as a function of the water level detected by the pressure sensor.
The device according to the invention offers the possibility to produce bathtubs without overflow opening in the tub wall and yet to ensure a reliable overflow protection in such bathtubs. By using at least one pressure sensor and its arrangement on a line which opens at a bottom opening of the basin or the bathtub, the device according to the invention is insensitive to contamination by soap, foam, hair, etc. and thus provides a high level of reliability. The bottom opening associated with the pressure sensor is integrated in the drain fitting according to the invention. The bottom opening can be arranged below and at a distance from a valve body covering hood or screen.

According to the invention, it is provided that one end of the line, on which the pressure sensor is arranged, opens on a valve seat surface of the floor drain valve, wherein this end of the pipe is sealed watertight in the closed state of the floor drain valve by a valve body of the floor drain valve. This embodiment contributes to compact dimensions of the floor drain valve having waste set and also allows easy cleaning of the line provided with the pressure sensor.

An advantageous embodiment of the device according to the invention is characterized in that the measuring and control device is provided with at least one adjusting means by which a maximum water level height or a proportional size, in which the floor drain valve is opened by the actuator is adjustable. As a result, the maximum water level can be set flexibly, so that it can be adjusted individually according to the wishes of the user of the bathtub or sanitary pool. In particular, this embodiment makes it possible to optimally adapt the device according to the invention to baths of different depths (wall height).

A further embodiment of the device according to the invention is characterized in that its measuring and control device is provided with a timer, preferably an adjustable timer which, after automatically opening the floor drain valve due to a detected by the pressure sensor water level that corresponds to a predetermined maximum water level or exceeds this at the end of a defined period of time, causes a closing of the floor drain valve. As a result, the outflow of a sufficiently high volume of water via the floor drain valve to ensure overflow protection can be achieved in a relatively simple manner.

According to a further advantageous embodiment, the measuring and control device of the device according to the invention is provided with at least one adjusting means, by means of which a minimum water level height or a thereto proportional size at which the floor drain valve is closed by the actuator is adjustable. This makes it possible to adjust the minimum water level height flexible, so that it can be adjusted individually according to the wishes of the user of the bathtub or sanitary pool. In particular, this embodiment makes it possible to optimally adapt the device according to the invention to baths of different depths (wall height).

For the reliable operation of the device according to the invention, a further embodiment of the invention provides that the electronic measuring and control device is prepared to check a pressure signal output by the pressure sensor and the actuator activating control current, for example, the motor current de de floor drain valve associated actuator, for plausibility ,

A further advantageous embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the electronic measuring and control device has a processor, preferably a microprocessor, and a component monitoring the function of the processor, for example a so-called "watchdog". This embodiment also contributes to a high reliability of the device according to the invention. Thus, a possible malfunction of the processor can be detected and then either signaled or a suitable jump instruction, which cleans up the existing malfunction, are initiated. The signal or the jump instruction serve as a trigger for one or more other components of the device according to the invention, which are intended to eliminate the malfunction. In this way, a complete failure of the device according to the invention caused by software failure can be avoided.

According to a further embodiment of the device according to the invention, the electronic measuring and control device is designed such that it emits an acoustic and / or optical signal in case of malfunction of the processor and / or the pressure sensor and / or the actuator. The user of the device can then optionally reset their measuring and control device in a defined initial state, so that they can then work properly and monitored again. The monitoring component ("watchdog") is embodied, for example, in the processor, preferably a microprocessor, or as a microelectronic component which is mounted together with the processor on a printed circuit board.

A further advantageous embodiment of the device according to the invention is characterized in that the electronic measuring and control device and / or the actuator is / are provided with an accumulator. As a result, an opening of the floor drain valve and thus an "overflow function" is ensured even in case of power failure. In addition, it is proposed in this connection to monitor the state of charge of the accumulator in order always to be able to open the floor drain valve. Accordingly, a further embodiment of the invention provides that the electronic measuring and control device is provided with a device which monitors the state of charge of the accumulator and triggers an opening of the floor drain valve falls below a predetermined or too low state of charge of the accumulator and / or an acoustic and / or emits optical signal.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the line to which the pressure sensor is arranged, is designed such that when filling the sanitary basin, in particular a bathtub, with water forms an air bubble in front of the pressure sensor. The air bubble in front of the pressure sensor prevents direct contact with dirty service water and thus contamination, which may affect the proper functioning of the pressure sensor.

Fig. 1
Fig. 2
The above object is also achieved by a bathtub with a drain fitting and device according to one of claims 1 to 11.
The invention will be explained in more detail with reference to a drawing illustrating an exemplary embodiment. They show schematically:
Fig. 1
a vertical sectional view of a bathtub equipped with a device according to the invention during a filling with water; and
Fig. 2
a vertical sectional view of the bathtub according to Fig. 1 in a situation in which the floor drain valve has been automatically opened by the device according to the invention.
In the sketched in the drawing basin 1 is a bath, especially a freestanding bath. The bathtub 1 is associated with a water inlet fitting 2, for example, a mixing valve, can be introduced via the water, in particular tempered water in the tub 1. The bottom of the bathtub 1 has a drain opening 3, on which a drain valve having a drain valve is mounted. 4 is a valve body of the bottom drain valve shown schematically.
The bathtub 1 is equipped with a device for automatic operation of the floor drain valve depending on the height of the water level (level) W. For this purpose, the device has at least one pressure sensor 5 which detects the height of the water level and is arranged on a line 6 which opens at a bottom opening 7 of the bath 1. The opening 7 is integrated in the drain fitting. Furthermore, the device comprises an electronic measuring and control device (not shown), to which the measuring signals of the pressure sensor 5 are transmitted, and one with the control device electrically or control-technically connected actuator (not shown) for opening and / or closing the floor drain valve. The actuator is designed for example as a servomotor or solenoid switch. The actuator is preferably coupled to a lever mechanism which acts on the valve body 4 of the floor drain valve.

The measuring and control device is provided with at least one adjusting means (not shown), with which a maximum water level h max or a proportional size, in which the floor drain valve is opened by the actuator can be adjusted. In addition, the measuring and control device is provided with at least one adjusting means (not shown), with which a minimum water level h min or a proportional size at which the floor drain valve is closed by the actuator, can be adjusted.

The bottom opening 7 of the bath 1, at which the line 6 provided with the pressure sensor 5 opens, is arranged at a distance from the floor drain opening 3 or the valve seat surface 8 of the valve body 4. The bottom opening 7 facing away from the end 6.1 of the line 6, however, opens at the valve seat surface 8 of the floor drain valve, so that this end of the conduit 6 is sealed watertight in the closed state of the floor drain valve by the valve body 4. The line 6 is similar or corresponds to a bypass.

In Fig. 1 is sketched a situation in which the floor drain valve of the bathtub is closed. In the bath 1 water is already filled. The pressure sensor 5 preferably continuously detects the current height of the water level W and sends a corresponding measurement signal to the measuring and control device which controls the actuator for actuating the floor drain valve in dependence on the detected water level height W. , If the height of the water level W reaches the preset or set maximum water level h max or the latter is exceeded, the measuring and control device causes the actuator to open the floor drain valve opens. This ensures a reliable overflow protection. The opening of the floor drain valve is in Fig. 1 indicated by the valve body 4 shown upwardly pointing arrow. The predetermined by the adjustment maximum water level h max, for example, be about 400 mm.
In Fig. 2 is outlined a situation in which the floor drain valve is open and the water level W in the bathtub drops accordingly. The pressure sensor 5 further detects the current height of the water level W and sends a corresponding measurement signal to the measuring and control device. If the water level W falls to or below the predetermined or set minimum water level height h min, the measuring and control device causes the actuator to close the floor drain valve. The closing of the drain valve is in Fig. 2 indicated by the valve body 4 shown, pointing down arrow. The predetermined by the adjustment minimum water level height h min can be, for example, about 300 mm.
The device according to the invention thus represents an effective overflow protection in combination with the floor drain valve and makes it possible to produce overflow-proof baths without overflow bore in the tub side wall and without arranged on the outside of the tub wall overflow pipe. The bath 1 sketched in the drawing accordingly has no overflow opening (overflow bore) in its tub side wall.
The formation of the line 6 as a bypass has the advantage that the line 6 is flushed when opening the drain valve of draining water and thus cleaned. In addition, the line 6 is easily accessible for cleaning purposes via the arranged in the bottom of the tub 1 opening 7.

The opening 7 opens at the top of a set in a floor drain opening 3 of the tub 1 expiration set. In particular, the opening 7 be arranged below and at a distance from a valve body 4 covering hood or screen.

The line 6, on which the pressure sensor 5 is arranged, is preferably designed so that when filling the basin or the bath 1 with water in front of the pressure sensor forms an air bubble.

Another embodiment of the device is that the electronic measuring and control device is prepared to check the pressure sensor signal and the control current of the actuator, for example, the motor current of the valve body 4 actuated servomotor for plausibility. The electronic measuring and control device preferably has a processor. The function of the processor is monitored, for example by means of a so-called "watchdog" or another function monitoring component. It is further provided that the electronic measuring and control device emits an acoustic and / or optical signal in case of malfunction of the processor and / or the pressure sensor 5 and / or the actuator.

In order to ensure reliable operation of the device even in the event of a power failure, the electronic measuring and control device and / or the actuator are provided with an accumulator (not shown). Preferably, the electronic measuring and control device is provided with a device which monitors the state of charge of the accumulator and triggers opening of the floor drain valve falls below a critical state of charge and / or emits an acoustic and / or optical signal.

The embodiment of the invention is not limited to the embodiment shown in the drawing. On the contrary, numerous variants are conceivable which make use of the invention specified in the appended claims, even if the design deviates from the example shown. In particular, it is within the scope of the invention that the measuring and control device with a timer, preferably an adjustable timer is provided, which causes after automatic opening of the floor drain valve due to a detected by the pressure sensor 5 water level, which corresponds to a predetermined maximum water level h max or exceeds this, at the end of a defined period of time, closing the floor drain valve.
