Description

The invention relates to a dual function stop for a plate cutting tool, in particular a plate made of a reconstituted material, as well as to a cutting tool comprising such a double-function stop and a cutting and edging method. a plate using a tool provided with such a stop.

In the modern construction field, structural elements formed or reconstituted from materials which are present or which are reduced to powder, fibers, granules or chips are often used. Thus, by way of non-limiting examples, plaster, cement or ceramic tiles are used as building or finishing elements, fiber cement cladding boards, medium density cellulose fiber boards as cladding boards or finishing and laminated sheets as elements of a floating floor. Due to the nature of the mixture of components from which the plates are made or because of the use for which the plates are made, they have two characteristics in common: the hardness of the plate, or at least its face of use, and its thickness.

When the plates are made of a reconstituted material combining hardness and thickness, it is necessary to have a tool capable of overcoming these two difficulties of cutting.

There are many tools that can cut such plates. However, since these plates are laid on site, the tool must be suitable for use on site, that is to say outside a workshop.

Such a tool is for example described in the documents WO2006095065 and EP2083972 . It is a cutting tool for cutting a plate made of a reconstituted material, the tool comprising a support on which a blade is pivotally mounted by a pivot, between an open position to receive, between the support and the blade , the plate to be cut, and a closed position at the end of a cut. The blade has a flat, curved edge and is provided with a handle. The hardness of the plates to cut is generally important, a lever arm is generally provided between the handle and the blade to allow to apply a greater force.

The carrier includes a slot for receiving at least a portion of the blade during cutting.

The blade performs, in cooperation with the edges of the slot, a double shear: the flat sharp edge of the blade slides along the longitudinal edges of the blade, like two scissors. This double shear has the effect that the blade does not penetrate, during cutting, in the usual manner in the cutting plate to split it, but removes a strip of the material of the plate, band whose width corresponds substantially to that of the blade.

To ensure that the blanks of the plates are regular, the tool described in the aforementioned documents comprises a support having a large contact surface with the plate to be cut. This surface having the slot for receiving the blade, it is necessary to provide a relatively wide support. This support is then generally made of an inverted U-shaped sheet (folded or welded), to present two wings and a core. The slot is cut into the soul of the inverted U. The width of the core must be large enough so that the plate does not tilt during cutting.

This generally requires the use of more raw material, which increases the weight of the tool and, of course, its price.

This price is also increased by the use of cutting accessories, such as a support consisting of a trestle to be arranged or the plate before cutting, and / or an angularly adjustable stop to allow transverse cuts of the plates according to selected angles.

Thus, the documents WO2006095065 and EP2083972 propose to provide on the support a fixed stop at the end of the slot opposite to the pivot axis of the blade. This stop has a straight edge intended to be in contact with the cutting plate. The stop is either provided with cooperation means with angular cutting accessories, or pivotally mounted. The stop can slide in the slot to reduce the distance between the stop and the pivot of the blade. Once the distance is set, the stop is screwed into position.

If these tools allow the adjustment of the cutting angle, the stop is improved and provided with many expensive options in weight and raw material.

The objective of the present invention is to provide a plate cutting tool in a reconstituted material economic, efficient, easily transportable, limiting the cutting dust that can hinder a quality and versatile installation.

By performing, it is meant that the cut must be precise, at least on one of the faces (the cut according to the thickness of the plate may be less accurate when this thickness is not visible on the final assembly). Thus the cut must be sharp on at least one of the faces, and the cutting angle must be constant.

By polyvalent means that the tool must allow the cutting of rectangular plates both in the transverse direction (depending on the width of the plate), but also in the longitudinal direction (depending on the length of the plate).

In the remainder of the present description, a cut in the transverse direction will be called a section (this section may be parallel to the width of the plate or angular with respect to the width of the plate). A cut in the longitudinal direction will be called a delineation.

However, to allow relatively long plate delimbing, it has always been considered that the tool itself had to have significant dimensions to allow the support of the plate during edging.

This requires the use of more raw material, which increases the weight and price of these tools.

The invention provides an economic stop, allowing the cutting and edging of plates, while allowing to design a tool of reduced dimensions compared to the usual practice. In addition, this stop, although removable between the cutting position and the edging position, remains constantly on the tool, so there is no risk of losing it during edging.

    • une première face plane, dite « de contact » sur laquelle est agencée une lèvre, dite « de soutien », s'étendant dans un premier plan perpendiculaire à la face de contact et positionnée de manière à affleurer au niveau de la fente en position d'utilisation de coupe ;
    • une seconde face plane, opposée à la face de contact, sur laquelle est agencée une lèvre, dite « de délignage », s'étendant perpendiculairement à la seconde face plane selon un deuxième plan parallèle et décalé par rapport au premier plan de la lèvre de soutien, de manière à affleurer au niveau de la fente en position d'utilisation de délignage.

The figure 1 illustrates a cutting tool 100 of a plate made of reconstituted material, the tool comprising a support 10 and a blade 20 pivotally mounted on the support by a pivot 21, between an open position to receive, between the support 10 and the blade 20, the plate to be cut, and a closed position at the end of a cut,

The support 10 comprises a leg portion 1 and a support portion 2 on which the blade 20 is fixed. The support portion 2 has a slot 3 intended to receive at least a portion of the blade 20 during cutting. The slot 3 is visible on the figures 3 , 8 and 11 . It comprises a proximal end 3a close to the pivot 21 and a distal end 3b, remote from the pivot,

The portion of the support 2 comprising the slot 3 may be constituted by an inverted U-folded sheet in the core of which the slot has been cut.

The portion of the support 2 comprising the slot 3 may also be constituted by two sheets folded in inverted L, parallel to each other.

In these two embodiments, the slot is bordered by a wide flange (greater than the thickness of the sheets used) to allow transverse support (that is to say, perpendicular to the cutting direction, it is that is, with respect to the slot 3) of the cutting plate during cutting.

Advantageously, to limit the amount of material used, the portion of the support 2 comprising the slot 3 is constituted by two flat sheets, parallel to each other.

Dans ce mode de réalisation, illustré partiellement à la figure 3, la fente 3 est bordée par un rebord étroit constitué par la tranche (l'épaisseur) de chaque tôle 3c-3d.In this embodiment, shown partially in figure 3 , the slot 3 is bordered by a narrow rim formed by the wafer (the thickness) of each sheet 3c-3d.

According to the invention, the tool comprises a notch 13 opening into the slot 3 in the vicinity of the distal end 3b.

Cette encoche 13 est destinée à recevoir une butée 200 selon l'invention, telle qu'illustrée, notamment, à la figure 2.This notch 13 is intended to receive a stop 200 according to the invention, as illustrated, in particular, in the figure 2 .

The abutment according to the invention makes it possible not only to wedge the plate in the cross-sectional position but also to support the plate during a cross-section or deliming.

Thus, the stop 200 according to the invention, and illustrated in figure 2 , comprises a central wall 201 intended to be inserted into force in the notch 13, in the direction of the arrow F1 (see figure 3 ).

This central wall 201 is provided, on a first plane face 202, called "contact", with a lip 203, called "support", extending in a first plane P1 perpendicular to the contact face 202 and positioned flush with the slot 3 in the cut position (see figure 8 ).

On a second plane face 204 of the central wall 201, opposite to the contact face 202, is arranged a lip 205, called "edging", extending perpendicularly to the second plane face 204 in a second plane P2 parallel and offset relative to the first plane P1 of the support lip 203. The offset between the two planes P1 and P2 is chosen so that the deliming lip 205 is flush with the slot 3 in the edger utilization position (see figure 11 ).

The support lip 203 supports the plate transversely to the cutting direction, whether the operation is a cross-section of the plate or a delineation of the plate. This avoids, when this plate is long, it breaks or tears during cutting.

This is particularly advantageous because it is possible to achieve a very economical support, while providing support for the cutting plate during cutting.

Avantageusement, la butée 200 selon l'invention comprend, en outre, une lèvre 206, dite « de maintien », agencée perpendiculairement à la face de contact 202 selon un troisième plan P3 parallèle et décalé d'une distance déterminée d par rapport au premier plan de la lèvre de soutien 203.Advantageously, the abutment 200 according to the invention further comprises a lip 206, called a "holding" lip, arranged perpendicularly to the contact face 202 in a third parallel plane P3 and offset by a determined distance d relative to the first plane of the support lip 203.

The retaining lip 206 prevents the plate from bending V upwards when the blade crosses the plate transversely.

The distance between the holding lip and the support lip can be chosen so that, in the use position, a space just below, equal to or greater than the thickness of the plate to be cut is formed between the support lip (flush at the slot) and the retaining lip. If the distance d is just smaller than the thickness of the plate to be cut, the latter must be inserted in force between the retaining lip 206 and the support lip 203, which prevents the user from holding the plate during the cutting.

The figure 3 illustrates a stop 200 according to the invention being mounted on a tool according to the invention partially illustrated.

In this perspective view, the support lip 203 and the edging lip 205 each comprise a recess, respectively 203a and 205a, just smaller width, equal to or greater than the width Ls of the portion 2 of the support bearing the slot 3.

Ces échancrures 203a et 205a permettent d'insérer la paroi médiane 201 de la butée dans l'encoche 13.These notches 203a and 205a make it possible to insert the median wall 201 of the abutment in the notch 13.

Preferably, the width of the indentations is of width just smaller than the width of the portion 2 of the carrier carrying the slot 3. Thus, there is an additional friction between the portion 2 of the support and the support lips 203 and edging 205 , so that the support lips 203 and deliming 205 must be inserted into force on either side of the portion 2 of the support. This helps to keep the stop in the notch 13 and to prevent the stop from pivoting in the notch.

In the same way, the retaining lip 206 has a notch 206a to allow the insertion of the stop into the notch 13 in the edging position (see Figures 11 to 13 ).

Advantageously, as for the notches 203a and 205a, the notch 206a has a width just smaller than the width Ls of the support portion carrying the slot.

Of course, for the stopper can be inserted into the notch 13, the notches 203a and 205a must be aligned perpendicular to the position of use.

In the same way, when the stop has a retaining lip 206, the notch 206a must be aligned with the notches 203a and 205a of the support lips 203 and deliming 205.

The Figures 4 to 6 illustrate alternative embodiments of an abutment according to the invention.

In these figures, the abutment further comprises, on the second plane face 204, a shim 210a, 210b, 210c.

Cette cale est perpendiculaire à la seconde face plane 204 et perpendiculaire à la lèvre de délignage 205.This wedge is perpendicular to the second plane face 204 and perpendicular to the edging lip 205.

The shim is intended to be inserted into the slot 3 of the portion of the support in the use position.

Advantageously, this wedge has a thickness just greater than the width of the slot 3 so that it must be inserted forcefully in the slot.

The wedge 210a, 210b, 210c thus contributes to maintaining the stop in the position of use and prevents the stop from pivoting in the notch 13.

En outre, la cale 210a, 210b, 210c rigidifie la butée 200 selon l'invention. In addition, the shim 210a, 210b, 210c stiffens the abutment 200 according to the invention.

The shape of the shim 210a, 210b, 210c is arbitrary but must be adapted to the support 10 in that it must not prevent the insertion of the stop into the notch 13 of the support 2.
  • The figure 7 illustrates a perspective view of the embodiment of the figure 6 comprising a shim 210c.
  • The Figures 8 to 11 illustrate a tool 100 for cutting a plate made of reconstituted material, the tool being provided with a stop 200 according to the invention inserted in the notch 13 of the tool in a cross-sectional position of use of the plate.

The support comprises a leg portion 1 and a portion 2 provided with a slot 3 for receiving at least a portion of the blade 20 during cutting.

The slot comprises at its distal end 3b, remote from the pivot 21, a notch 13 in which is inserted a stop according to the figure 7 .

In this embodiment, the stop is positioned in the cutting use position by inserting the medial wall 201 in the notch 13, so that the contact face 202 and the support lip 203 are directed towards the slot 3 .

The figure 9 illustrates the tool in the open position and in which a plate A, illustrated in dotted lines, is brought into position along the arrow F2 between the blade 20 and the portion 2 of the support carrying the slot 3.

The plate A is thus placed against the contact face 202 of the abutment and on the support lip 203.

Then the blade 20 is pivoted about the pivot 21 to bring it in the closed position in the direction of the arrow F3.

La lame est alors en position fermée comme illustré à la figure 10.The blade is then in the closed position as illustrated in FIG. figure 10 .

In this position, the plate A has been cut in the transverse direction.

A.The Figures 11 to 13 illustrate the use of the abutment according to the invention for the edging of a plate A.

In this embodiment, the abutment 200 according to the invention is positioned in the edging utilization position by inserting the medial wall 201 in the notch 13 so that the contact face 202 and the support lip 203 are directed. towards the slot 3.

Le plan P2 est dans le prolongement de la fente 3.In other words, the plane P2 along which the edging lip extends is above the plane P1 along which the support lip 203 extends. The plane P2 is in the extension of the slot 3.

The deliming lip 205 flush with the slot 3, the plate A is positioned on the portion 2 of the support comprising the slot 3 in the direction of the arrow F4, resting on the edging lip 205 which supports the plate A transversely .

Then the blade 20 is pivoted about the pivot 21 to bring it in the closed position, in the direction of the arrow F5, as shown in FIG. figure 12 .

Generally, the dimensions of the tool are insufficient to allow edging of the plate A in a single operation.

In this case, the blade 20 is repositioned in the open position in the direction of the arrow F6 ( figure 13 ) and the plate A is pushed in the direction of the arrow F7 towards the pivot 21, always resting on the deliming lip 205.

The blade 20 is then pivoted about the pivot 21 to bring it into the closed position.

These operations are repeated until the plate is completely sliced.

The present invention therefore makes it possible to provide a stop capable of ensuring both the cross-sectional function and the longitudinal edging of a plate.

In addition, this stop is never left out during operations so there is no risk of losing it on the site or damage.

Furthermore, the abutment according to the invention allows transverse support of the plate whether in cross section or edging. It is therefore possible to manufacture the support portion 2 comprising the slot 3 with two single unfolded metal plates, thereby having a low transverse support capacity of the plate.

Such a support is therefore much more economical both in raw material and in manufacturing operation. Nevertheless, since the abutment provides transverse support in section and edging, the tool according to the invention is as efficient as a tool whose portion 2 has a width Ls sufficiently large to support the plate transversely.
