    - means (28, 29, 21, 42) for temporarily blocking the connecting element (7) relative to the support (6) in the appropriate longitudinal direction making it possible to grip the ashlar (2) between the support (6) and the retaining member (8);
    characterized in that the support (6) comprises a U-shaped profile having a bottom wall (9) and two side wings (10, 11) which, in the in-use position, extend opposite the ashlar while the bottom wall (9) is positioned substantially vertically and parallel to the first vertical surface (3) of the ashlar, said profile having:
    - three lugs (12, 13, 18, 62) protruding from the bottom wall (9) substantially longitudinally and whereof the free edge (16) is provided to come into contact with the first vertical surface (3) of the ashlar, said three lugs having substantially the same longitudinal dimension (L, L'), said longitudinal dimension (L, L') defining the spacing between the first vertical surface (3) of the ashlar (2) and the bottom wall (9) of the U and corresponding to the thickness of the plank lining intended to be placed against the bottom wall (9);
    - means (18, 19, 20) for receiving and guiding the longitudinal movement of the connecting element (7), protruding from the bottom wall (9) substantially longitudinally and also forming a bearing means for the plank lining.
  2. The device according to claim 1, characterized in that the blocking means comprise at least one protrusion (29) formed on the connecting element (7), capable of cooperating with a protrusion (28) formed on the support (6) so as to prevent untimely longitudinal movement of the connecting element (7) relative to the support (6).
  3. The device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the blocking means comprise at least one opening (42) formed in the connecting element (7) and at least one opening (21) formed in the support (6), an assembly member such as a nail (41) or a chock (45) that can be inserted into the two openings placed in connection.
  4. The device according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the connecting element (7) assumes the form of a flat rod comprising teeth (29) protruding on its upper surface, the teeth having an inclined surface forming a ramp (31) and a straight surface forming a stop (32) and capable of cooperating with a protrusion (28) formed on the support (6), so as to prevent the longitudinal movement of the connecting element (7) relative to the support (6) in one direction and allow it in the opposite direction.
  5. The device according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the support (6) includes two tabs (23) formed by a cutout in the opposite wings of the U, the tabs (23) being arranged to be able to be folded substantially at the horizontal toward the inside of the U, one above the other, on either side of the connecting element (7).
  6. The device according to claims 4 and 5, characterized in that the tab (23) positioned above the connecting element (7) includes at least one rib (28) protruding downwardly and extending transversely, said rib (28) being able to cooperate with a tooth (29) of the connecting element (7) to block the longitudinal movement of said connecting element (7).
  7. The device according to claim 5 or 6, characterized in that the tabs (23) comprise reversible mutual assembly means (25, 26).
  8. The device according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the means for receiving and guiding the connecting element (7) comprise a tab (18) cut into the bottom wall (9) of the U and folded substantially horizontally, said tab (18) including two side flaps (20) folded substantially at the horizontal so as to form a sheath.
  9. The device according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the means for receiving and guiding the connecting element (7) comprise a U-shaped piece (52) attached on the U-shaped profile, said U-shaped piece (52) comprising:
    - a first branch (53) that has a free end (56) fastened on the bottom wall (9) of the U-shaped profile and which extends substantially horizontally in the same direction as the side wings (10, 11);
    - a base (55) provided with a first horizontal lumen (58) in which the connecting element (7) can slide;
    - a second branch (54) longer than the first, which extends from the base (55) substantially horizontally and passes through a slit (56) formed in the bottom wall (9) of the U-shaped profile, said slit (56) being topped by a second horizontal lumen (59) that is aligned with the first horizontal lumen (58) and in which the connecting element (7) can slide.
  10. The device according to one of claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the retaining member (8) is made in a single piece with the connecting element (7), an area of lower resistance (43) being formed at the junction between the retaining member (8) and the connecting element (7).
  11. The device according to one of claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the retaining member (8) is a separate piece from the connecting element (7), which comprises means (36) allowing the longitudinal movement of the connecting element (7) and means (38) for temporarily blocking the connecting element (7) relative to the retaining member (8) in the appropriate longitudinal direction.
  12. The device according to one of claims 1 to 10, characterized in that the connecting element (7) is made from a material belonging to the group made up of: stainless steel, brass, aluminum, composites, steel and composite dual components.
  13. The device according to one of claims 1 to 12, characterized in that the U-shaped profile (6) also includes a substantially horizontal slit (64) formed in the bottom wall (9) thereof, near one end of the said bottom wall (9), in which the connecting element (7) can slide.
  14. A formwork assembly, characterized in that it comprises a device (1) according to one of the preceding claims and an additional profile (66), said additional profile being in the shape of a U having a bottom wall (67) and two side wings (68, 69), and also comprising two lugs (70, 71) protruding from the bottom wall (67) opposite and in the extension of the side wings (68, 69), said additional profile (66) being capable of being inserted and fastened removably in the U-shaped profile of the support (6), respectively in the upper portion thereof in a first direction or in the lower portion thereof in a second direction, so as to make it possible to produce a higher formwork.
