One sheet (8) of card has a substantially straight cut (12) extending from one edge of the board to an opposite edge. The invention also provides for the core (4) to have a break (14) throughout its thickness, and for the sheet (6) of card opposite the cut sheet (8) to be folded at approximately 180° along the break (14).

Description

The present invention relates to facing plates, especially plasterboard.

These plates are generally in rectangular form and have two opposite edges thinned. Such plasterboards are well known to those skilled in the art,

He is known by the document FR-2,376,272 rectangular plasterboard plates with two V-shaped grooves to be transported flat to a construction site where the edge portions are bent square to the main part of the plate.

The marginal portions are held in this position by an adhesive applied in the grooves to form flanges. Panels thus obtained are then assembled in double wall in which the inwardly directed flanges form spacers. On the ceiling, the raised and upward flanges form suspensions.

A disadvantage of drywall is the difficulty that exists in handling and transporting them. This is due in particular to the size of the plates and also to their weight. Indeed, plasterboard generally have a length greater than two meters so as to achieve vertical partitions without having to have two plates one above the other.

The present invention therefore aims to provide means for facilitating the handling and / or transport of a plasterboard.

For this purpose, it proposes a facing plate, in particular plasterboard, comprising a core disposed between two sheets of cardboard,

According to the present invention, a cardboard sheet has a substantially straight cut extending from one edge of the plate to an opposite edge.

The cut thus made in the cardboard sheet formed a break line for the core of the facing plate. A shock then breaks the soul of the plate along the cut. The two parts of the core of the facing plate, on either side of the break, can then pivot relative to each other, the second sheet of cardboard forming a hinge. By pivoting 180 °, the two parts of the facing plate come face to face and thus limit the size of the plate in a dimension, the length for example.

To facilitate the breakage of the core, the latter may have a notch at the cut made in the carton, at least a portion of the length of this cut. The present invention relates to a facing plate as defined here and which has a break in the core of the plate at the level of the cut (and / or notch), this cut (and possibly the cut if it is present) can be covered, totally or partially, with a glue joint.

A facing plate according to the invention is for example rectangular and has two opposite edges thinned. Its cut then extends advantageously a thinned edge to the other thinned edge, perpendicular to them. The thinned edges are generally made on the longitudinal edges of the facing plate (corresponding to the long sides of the plate). Such a cut then makes it possible to reduce the overall length of the facing plate when the latter is folded.

In a preferred embodiment, a face of the facing plate covered with cardboard is a flat face and the cut is made on this flat face. The other face, which then serves as a hinge, can then be used as the front face of the facing plate, that is to say the visible face of the plate once it is mounted. Thus, once the facing plate mounted, the cut, possibly the notch, and the break are invisible.

Advantageously, the cardboard sheet opposite to the cut sheet has a basis weight greater than 200 g / m 2 , for example 240 g / m 2 . Such a sheet of cardboard is reinforced with respect to the cardboard sheets usually used for producing plasterboard and can be folded and unfolded several times without tearing.

The present invention also relates to a facing plate as described above whose core has the breakage over its entire thickness, and for which the cardboard sheet opposite the cut sheet is folded at about 180 ° along the break. To protect the breakage of such a facing plate, the break is advantageously wrapped by a sheet of paper. It can also be envisaged that the free edges of the plate opposed to the break are also wrapped by a sheet of paper.

The present invention further relates to a set of facing plates having a fold of 180 °, characterized in that the plates are stacked on each other. In this stack, the breaks are preferably arranged one above the other and are wrapped by a sheet of paper. It can also be provided in such a set of plates that the plate edges opposed to the breaks are also wrapped by a sheet of paper.

Details and advantages of the present invention will emerge more clearly from the description which follows, made with reference to the appended diagrammatic drawings in which:
  • The figure 1 is a front view of a plate according to the invention,
  • The figure 2 is a side view of the plate of the figure 1 ,
  • The figure 3 corresponds to the figure 2 the plate being bent,
  • The figure 4 schematically shows the packaging of a folded plate, and
  • The figure 5 is a view similar to that of the figure 3 for an alternative embodiment.

The drawings show a plasterboard which generally has the same shape as a plasterboard of the prior art. This gypsum board 2 has a core 4 made of plaster sandwiched between two sheets of cardboard: a front sheet 6 and a back sheet 8. The front sheet 6 is so called because it is the cardboard sheet intended to be visible when the plasterboard 2 is mounted. Thus, the back sheet 8 is hidden when the plasterboard 2 is mounted.

The plasterboard 2 shown is a rectangular plate and the thinned edges 10 are made on one face of the plasterboard 2 at the longitudinal edges (long sides ) of the rectangular plasterboard 2. In known manner, these thinned edges 10 are made on the front face of the gypsum board 2. The sheet of cardboard 6 is thus substantially flat over the entire surface of the gypsum board 2 except at the long sides of this plate where the front sheet 6 is slightly inclined to form a thinned edge 10. The back sheet 8 is in turn substantially flat over the entire surface of the gypsum board 2.

Such a plasterboard structure is known from the prior art.

According to the present invention, a sheet of cardboard of this gypsum board 2 is cut in a straight cut extending from one edge to the other of the board.

La découpe 12 est donc, en résumé, une découpe transversale réalisée à mi-hauteur de la plaque de plâtre 2 sur la face arrière de celle-ci.In the embodiment shown in the drawings, it is recognized on the figure 1 a cutout 12 made in the back sheet 8 and extending from one longitudinal edge to the other. This cutout 12 is a transverse cut, parallel to the short sides of the plasterboard 2 and equidistant from them. The cutout 12 is, in summary, a transverse cut made at mid-height of the gypsum board 2 on the rear face thereof.

The cutout 12 is for example a continuous cut made using a cutting tool. This cutting is preferably carried out in any the thickness of the sheet of cardboard 8. It is conceivable here to have either a continuous cut or a dotted cut.

When making the cut 12, a notch is made in the core 4 of the plate. This cut coincides with the figures with the cutout 12. It is shallow: it represents for example a depth of the order of a millimeter. It is advantageously of a depth less than 1/5 th , or preferably 1/10 th of the thickness of the core 4. This notch is made simultaneously with the cutout 12, with the same tool (not shown) who makes the cut 12.

The cutout 12 and the corresponding notch make it possible to make a break 14 in the core 4 of the gypsum board 2. This break 14 extends along the cutout 12 and is represented on the Figures 2 to 4 . When this break 14 is achieved, the plasterboard 2 can be folded, the front sheet 6 cardboard then filling the hinge function.

The Figures 3 and 4 represent a gypsum board 2 in which a fold 16 has been made at 180 ° along the break 14. This gives two half-plasterboard plates arranged face to face having a front sheet of cardboard in one piece. The overall height of the plasterboard 2 has been reduced by half. The overall width is retained and the overall thickness is doubled. In this way, the thickness of the plate being almost negligible compared to the length and the width thereof, the plasterboard 2 can be more easily transported and manipulated.

The figure 4 shows an alternative embodiment. Here we find the plasterboard 2 with a fold 16 at 180 ° in the front sheet 6 of the figure 3 . In this embodiment, the break 14 is wrapped in a sheet of paper 18. The latter thus envelopes the break 14 and the back sheet 8 of the plasterboard near the break 14.

It can also be expected, as shown on the figure 4 , also to wrap together the two transverse edges 20 of the gypsum board 2. A sheet of paper 18 'is used for this purpose. As well as the paper sheet 18, this is for example a sheet made in a paper of the type commonly used in the field of packaging. Other materials, for example a synthetic material, can be envisaged here.

The paper sheets 18 and 18 'are for example set up in the plasterboard manufacturing plant. These folded plasterboard can be stacked on top of each other, as well as plasterboard is stacked. It is conceivable to individually wrap the breaks 14 of several gypsum boards stacked one on top of the other and / or to plan to wrap together all the superimposed breaks. Similarly, one can provide a packing two by two of the transverse edges of the plasterboard and / or packaging of all the superimposed transverse edges of a stack of plasterboard folded according to the invention.

The present invention is applicable to all sizes of drywall. By way of example, an unfolded plasterboard has, for example, a height of 2500 mm and a width of 600 or 1200 mm. The thickness of the core 4 of the plate is, for example, of the order of 10 or 13 mm. Here we find the dimensions of plasterboard commonly used. All other dimensions can be considered here.

Advantageously, the front sheet 6, intended to be folded, is made of a cardboard having a mass per unit area greater than 200 g / m 2 , for example 240 g / m 2 . However, the invention can be realized with a "conventional" cardboard sheet having a lower basis weight.

When a plate 2 which has been folded is unfolded again, as shown in FIG. figure 2 , the two half-plasterboard fit snugly at the break 14. The plasterboard 2 thus unfolded has an appearance almost identical to that of a plasterboard, of the same dimensions, art prior. Only the cut 12 and the corresponding notch in the core 4 appear at the back of the plate, that is to say, the normally hidden side once the plate is placed. Providing at the core 4 a break and not a cut, allows a perfect repositioning of the two parts of the drywall 2 when it is unfolded. A break allows indeed to make the fold 16 without removal of material at the core 4 in plaster. As illustrated on the figure 2 , the plate 2, after having been folded for its handling and unfolded for its installation, can receive an adhesive joint 22 which covers the notch and the cutout 12, preferably over almost their entire length, except at the ends, so as to not to interfere with the installation and fixing of the plate on studs of a frame.

The present invention thus proposes a solution allowing more Easily handle and transport plasterboard. These plates have a footprint, for example in height, which is reduced without being required to provide a greater number of joints during the production of a wall.

Setting up such a plasterboard is easy. When the folded plasterboard is wrapped at its ends with a sheet of paper, the two half-plates are perfectly secured to one another. Before use, the paper sheets 18 and / or 18 'are removed. The plate is then put in place and unfolded. Thus, it is not necessary to manipulate the unfolded plate. The glue joint can be set up here.

Ce léger décalage, par exemple de l'ordre de 1 à plusieurs centimètres, est destiné à faciliter le dépliage de la plaque 2.The figure 5 illustrates an alternative embodiment in which the break 14, and thus also the cut 12 and the corresponding notch, are not made at mid-height of the facing plate 2 but with a slight offset. Thus, when the plate 2 is folded ( figure 5 ), the upper edge and the lower edge are offset. This slight offset, for example of the order of 1 to several centimeters, is intended to facilitate the unfolding of the plate 2.

The present invention is not limited to the embodiment and its variants described by way of non-limiting examples. It also relates to all other embodiments without departing from the scope of the invention as defined by the claims.

The description which is made above relates to a plate with two thinned edges. The cut and the break made are perpendicular to the thinned edges. This then makes it possible to limit the size of the plate in length. A cut (with or without a corresponding cut) and a break parallel to the thinned edges can also be envisaged. This gives a plate whose width is limited when it is folded.

The present invention can also be implemented with composite facing plates having a core in a plaster-like material sandwiched between two sheets of cardboard.

The description above relates to the preferred embodiment where the cut (and possibly the notch) is made on the rear face (not visible after mounting) of a facing plate. This cutting, in some cases, may possibly be performed on the front face of the plate, the one in which the thinned edges are generally made.

The present invention also relates to facing plates having a doubling, such as EPS (PolyStyrene Expanded) for example. In such a plate, the cut is made both in the doubling and in the adjacent cardboard sheet, the notch being in turn made in the core of the plate.
