Abstract

Bei einem Verfahren zur Steuerung der Entkohlungsgeschwindigkeit in einem Konverter beim Frischen einer kohlenstoffhaltigen Metallschmelze, insbesondere Eisenschmelze, aus vorzugsweise einer FeCr- oder FeMn- Legierung mittels der Durchführung eines kombinierten Sauerstoff-Inertgas-Blas- und Vakuumverfahrens, insbesondere eines Vacuum-Oxygen-Decarburisation-Converter-Verfahrens, soll eine Lösung geschaffen werden, die eine effiziente und vorteilhafte Steuerung des Blas- und Vakuumverfahrens beim Frischen einer kohlenstoffhaltigen Metallschmelze ermöglicht. Dies wird dadurch erreicht, dass beim Frischen während der Entkohlung parallel ein Inertgaseintrag, insbesondere die Inertgasdurchflussrate (QIG), in die Metallschmelze und ein Gefäßdruck (p) eingestellt und eingeregelt werden und mittels dieser beiden Parameter die Entkohlungsgeschwindigkeit der Metallschmelze indirekt über das sich jeweils ergebende Entkohlungsreaktionspotential gesteuert wird.
