L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif pour insérer un objet plat (16) dans un produit plan (4) plié qui contient deux parties (10, 10b) interconnectées au niveau d'une arête de pliure (11). Ledit produit plan (4) est introduit par l'arête de pliure (11) insérée en premier dans le logement (1) d'un dispositif d'insertion, ledit logement (1) contenant deux côtés (2, 3) opposés l'un à l'autre, une première partie (10a) de produit étant maintenue au niveau d'un premier côté (2) du logement par l'intermédiaire d'un dispositif de retenue (8) et la seconde partie (10b) de produit étant déplacée en direction du second côté (3) du logement, ce qui entraîne l'ouverture du produit (4).
