Claims (8)

  1. Access control device adapted for installation on the roadway at a parking place for vehicles, comprising: a fixed element (4) capable of being fastened to the roadway; a movable sliding element (3) guided so as to be able to slide in a direction essentially perpendicular to the roadway relative to said fixed element (4) between a low position and a high position; a pivoting element (6) arranged to rotate about a rotation axis (5) essentially parallel to the roadway and united to said sliding element (3); the device moreover including an actuator (1, 2) arranged to move the sliding element between the low position and the high position in which the passage of said vehicles is impeded, characterized by a transmission element (7) for transmitting motion from the sliding element to the pivoting element (6) such that the latter does not surpass in height the sliding element (3) when it is in the low position, and assumes a position essentially orthogonal to the roadway when the sliding element (3) is in the high position, and in that the fixed element (4) and the sliding element (3) are essentially box-shaped and encase one another, while the pivoting element has two parallel arms united to the rotation axis (5).
  2. Access control device according to the preceding claim, in which the pivoting element has two parallel arms united by a flat panel, the parallel arms being essentially orthogonal to the plane of the roadway in the high position.
  3. Access control device according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the actuator comprises a jack (2) with a screw parallel to the plane of the roadway.
  4. Access control device according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said actuator acts on a flexible plate (9) at the top of the sliding element (3).
  5. Access control device according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said transmission element includes a flexible organ (7), elongated, having a extremity attached at a fixed-height point and another extremity that wraps itself around said rotation axis (5) or around a cylindrical element coaxial thereto.
  6. Access control device according to the preceding claim, wherein said flexible organ (7) is sufficiently stiff to transmit a bidirectional torque to the rotation axis (5).
  7. Access control device according to any one of the preceding claims, including a protection belt of stone or masonry around the fixed element.
  8. Access control device according to any one of the preceding claims, whose height when the sliding element (3) is in the low position is less than 10 cm.
