Abstract

The barrier controlling entrance to individual parking spaces is strong, effective and easy to erect. It consists of a hinged, rigid U-shaped tube which is folded down level with the ground to allow access or is lifted up into a vertical position to prevent access. A second tube of similar shape is attached to this hinged element. It may be folded down to the ground also coplanar with the first tube but when in the vertical position, it is swung round perpendicular to the first hinged element, preventing any vehicle from using the parking space. Once in the vertical position and properly blocking the space, the two elements are locked in place.
