L'invention concerne un caisson d'isolation thermique pour un appareil frigorifique, notamment un appareil ménager, comportant une paroi intérieure (3) délimitant un espace de réfrigération, une paroi extérieure (5) et un espace inter-paroi (9) rempli d'un matériau d'isolation thermique (11) et logeant un panneau d'isolation sous vide (13), la paroi extérieure (5) formant des rebords (33) coudés sur les côtés opposés du caisson (35), ces rebords étant reliés à la paroi intérieure (3) et/ou à d'autres parties de paroi (6,7) voisines, à savoir le fond, la paroi supérieure ou la paroi arrière. Selon l'invention, le panneau d'isolation sous vide (13) est monté sur les rebords (33) de la paroi extérieure (5).
