Definitions
- the invention relates to a camping table according to claim 1.
- Generic camping tables are known from practice. They are characterized by the fact that they have the lowest possible weight, on the one hand to reduce the payload in the recreational vehicle as little as possible, and to be handled quickly and easily, namely expanded and later dismantled and stored in the camping vehicle, be it for reasons of a change of location or weather-related.
- EP 1972499 describes a load carrier for a motor vehicle according to the prior art.
- the invention has for its object to improve a generic camping table to the effect that this is designed to be cheap and lightweight and requires the smallest possible storage space.
- the invention proposes, in other words, to use as a base of the camping table a device that many Campers anyway carry with them, namely a bicycle rack.
- Such bicycle carriers can either be mounted on the towing hitch of a towing vehicle, but in many cases they are mounted in front of a caravan or other camping trailer, ie above the drawbar of this trailer.
- the present proposal makes use of the fact that the rails of such bicycle trailer, in which the wheels of the bicycles are adjusted, are usually arranged in the same height and thus lie in a horizontal plane.
- the table top is placed on two such rails and secured with straps on these rails.
- tethers are already provided in the bicycle carriers, namely to secure the wheels in the rails.
- the camping table can be realized with a minimum of effort by simply providing the appropriate table top.
- This table top has two retaining tongues, which are each arranged above a rail of the bicycle carrier, so that the tether straps provided anyway on the bicycle carrier can each be laid around such a retaining tongue and then tightened. The table top then projects laterally beyond the end of the rails and is secured against tipping by the Garzern and the wrapped around straps. Since both the rails of the bicycle carrier and the tethers are anyway present on the bicycle carrier, the additional effort in terms of weight to create a camping table is limited to the table top to be provided. The required storage space is minimal, since the flat table top can usually be accommodated easily.
- the retaining tongues are designed not only as flat portions or extensions of the actual table surface, but are provided with an upwardly curved contact surface, which runs around the tether.
- the retaining tongues may be deformed to provide the domed ones Create contact surfaces. Due to the curvature of these contact surfaces facilitate a particularly reliable and play-free installation of the tether, so that thereby the tabletop can be connected as safely as possible with the base of the camping table, namely with the two rails of the bicycle carrier. Because of this possible backlash-free connection also a possible horizontal orientation of the table surface is guaranteed.
- the arched extending contact surface is provided by a separate mold.
- a particularly simple processing of the surface element of the table top is made possible.
- a particularly stable design of these separate fittings may be provided, so that the secure attachment of the table top on the base frame can be further improved.
- it can be provided to design the shaped pieces as extruded profile sections, so that both the surface element, which can be laser cut from a sheet metal plate, as well as the fittings, which can be cut without post-processing from the corresponding profile bar, provided with the least possible processing and thus particularly economical can be.
- the separate design of the fittings also allows a particularly space-saving stowage of the camping table, since the flat table top, namely the actual surface element, regardless of these fittings can be stowed and the other hand, considerably smaller but not so flat fittings can be accommodated elsewhere.
- the retaining tongues do not protrude beyond the actual table surface, so that the table surface can be produced with a minimum of waste and thus can be produced particularly economically. Therefore, advantageously on both sides of a holding tongue the arrangement be provided by two slots in the surface element of the table top, wherein then the corresponding tether extends through these two slots so as to extend around the retaining tongue.
- a plurality of bicycle carriers have rails that are substantially equidistant from one another and have substantially the same rail width, respectively.
- a slight adaptation to these essentially the same but slightly different dimensional ratios of different bicycle carriers can advantageously take place in that the shaped piece is movable on the retaining tongue transversely to the slots.
- the slots are designed so wide that the fitting one or both slots, depending on its respective position, partially covered, with each such usable residual width of each of the two slots remains that the tether are passed through the two slots and around the fitting can.
- the two retaining tongues directly from the surface element of the table top can be provided to provide the retaining tongue by a separate component.
- This can advantageously be designed as an angle piece, which has two angles to each other extending legs.
- a first leg, which bears against the surface element of the table top is referred to as a surface leg.
- the second, of which angled extending leg of the elbow is referred to as tongue angle, because it forms the retaining tongue of the camping table.
- This tongue leg of the elbow protrudes beyond the surface element of the tabletop.
- the angle piece is movable relative to the surface element of the table top, so that it can be fixed in different positions along this longitudinal direction of the surface leg on the surface element of the table top. This can be realized for example by a row of holes.
- the second retaining tongue is formed by such an angle
- at least one retaining tongue a large adjustment, which determines the distance between the two retaining tabs, so that in this way an adaptation of the camping table or its table top is possible on different bike carriers, even if the distances of the rails of the respective bicycle carriers should be strongly different.
- both holding tongues can be formed by such angle pieces, so that as many as possible identical parts are used in terms of economic production as possible and the table top, for example, may have a surface element, which can be configured simply as a rectangle with a closed circumferential contour.
- the adjustability of the angle piece in the longitudinal direction of the surface leg can advantageously be realized by a slot, so that a stepless adjustability of the angle piece and thus a continuously adjustable distance between the two retaining tongues is made possible, so that in this way the table top optimally to the respective distance between two rails a bike carrier can be adjusted.
- the table top may be made of metal, so that it can be designed as flat and light as possible with sufficient strength.
- the required deformation stiffness of the table top is ensured by the fact that the existing metal surface element of the table top is stiffened by beads or bends. Angles along the outer peripheral edge of the surface element are particularly advantageous in that in this case waiving beading the actual surface of the table top can be configured just without having surveys or indentations.
- the metallic table top may preferably be made of a weather-resistant metal, such as aluminum or stainless steel, since the table top is particularly intended for outdoor use. However, it can find another metal use, which then with a protective layer, for. B. a paint, can be protected against weather.
- a weather-resistant metal such as aluminum or stainless steel
- the table top in particular their surface element, but also consist of other materials, eg.
- plastic in particular a reinforced plastic such as GRP or CFK, which combines advantageous properties such as weather resistance and rigidity together.
- GRP reinforced plastic
- CFK reinforced plastic
- wood or wood materials or other suitable materials can be used for the surface element of the table top.
- a proposed camping table can be created if already provided for the bicycle rack is available as a base. Therefore, the single table top can be used as an independently tradable element economically, in the simplest case, the table only consists of a correspondingly tailored, the holding tongues having surface element, and possibly may have the fittings for the contact surface of the tethers, and possibly from the actual surface element, the fittings and the elbows can exist.
- a camping table is designated in each case with 1, wherein serve as a base of the camping table 1 two rails 2, which are part of a bicycle carrier.
- the rails 2 are designed as upwardly open, channel-like profiled rails into which the wheels of bicycles can be adjusted.
- tethers 3 which are usually used to secure the wheels in the rails 2.
- the table top 4 has a surface element 5, which forms a total of two retaining tongues 9 through four slots 8.
- a slot 10 is provided, which cooperates with a bore 11 in a base plate 12 of a fitting 6.
- the fitting 6 rests on the retaining tongue 9 and a clamping screw extends through the bore 11 and the slot 10. After loosening this clamping screw, the fitting 6 can be moved along the slot 10, in this way the position of the two fittings 6 and their Distance to each other optimally adapted to the predetermined distance of the two rails 2.
- the slots 8 are designed so wide that each, even if they are partially covered by the fitting 6, a sufficient slot width remains as a usable slot width to a tether 3 by the two retaining tongue 9 defining slots 8 and the contact surface 7 of the To lead fitting 6.
- the surface element 5 of the table top 4 are placed without the fittings 6 directly on the rails 2 and secured by means of tethers 3, when the tethers 3 extend around the rails 2 and immediately to the retaining tongues 9.
- the fittings 6 improve the ability to tension the tethers 3 and so ensure a possible play-free installation of the table top 4 on the rails 2, so that the table top 4 and in particular their surface element 5 is aligned horizontally.
- a downwardly directed bend 14 which serves to stiffen the surface element 5 and thus the table top 4.
- the illustrated embodiment can be provided to align this bend 14 upwards in order not onlyirristeifen the surface element 5, but also to provide a securing edge, which protects the material located on the table top 4 before, during movements of the surface element 5 or to fall from the table top 4 with slight inclinations of the camping table 1.
- Fig. 2 shows a second embodiment in which the retaining tongues 9 are formed by two angle pieces 15.
- the angle pieces 15 have on the one hand a so-called surface leg 16 which is arranged under the surface element 5, wherein the surface leg 16 each have two elongated holes 17 which cooperate with square holes 18 which are provided in the surface element 5 of the table top 4.
- Carriage bolts 19 extend with a square shaft portion in the square holes 18 and further with its threaded portion respectively through the slots 17 of the superimposed angle pieces 15, wherein at the lower end the carriage bolts 19 nuts 20 are provided, which hold together the entire assembly consisting of the surface element 5 and the two elbows 15.
- the two angle pieces 15 can be moved apart or in the longitudinal direction of the surface leg 16, so that the distance between two so-called tongue legs 21 mutually changes, which form the two retaining tongues 9.
- a larger adjustment is created, in which the distance between the two retaining tongues 9 can be selected, as in the first embodiment, so that in the camping table 1 of the second embodiment, the adaptation of the table top 4 at Different bike carrier and thus at very different distances is possible, which have the two rails 2 from each other.
- Fig. 2 Also in the embodiment of Fig. 2 is provided that 9 fittings 6 are attached to the retaining tongues. Since the angle pieces 15 are mutually adjustable, the determination of the shaped pieces 6 can be done on the retaining tongues 9 waiving long holes by simple holes 22 which are provided on the retaining tongues 9.
- carriage bolts 19 with their comparatively flat, dome-like screw heads allows easy cleaning of the table top 4 and does not affect the use of the entire surface of the surface element 5.
