Abstract
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein polymeres Material, erhältlich durch Umsetzung von (A) mindestens einem Polyimid, gewählt aus Kondensationsprodukten von (a) mindestens einem Polyisocyanat mit im Mittel mindestens zwei Isocyanatgruppen pro Molekül und (b) mindestens einer Polycarbonsäure mit mindestens 3 COOH-Gruppen pro Molekül oder ihrem Anhydrid, (B) mindestens einem Diol oder Triol.
Description
Polymeres Material, seine Herstellung und Verwendung
Beschreibung Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein polymeres Material, erhältlich durch Umsetzung von
(A) mindestens einem Polyimid, gewählt aus Kondensationsprodukten von
(a) mindestens einem Polyisocyanat mit im Mittel mindestens zwei Isocyanat- gruppen pro Molekül und
(b) mindestens einer Polycarbonsäure mit mindestens 3 COOH-Gruppen pro Molekül oder ihrem Anhydrid, mit
(B) mindestens einem Diol oder Triol.
Weiterhin betrifft die vorliegende Erfindung die Herstellung von erfindungsgemäßen polymeren Materialien und ihre Verwendung zur Stofftrennung, insbesondere als Membranen beispiels- weise in Membrantrennungsverfahren, beispielsweise der Ultrafiltration, Nanofiltration, Pervapo- ration, Umkehrosmose und Gastrennung.
Für Membrantrennungsverfahren, beispielsweise zur Ultrafiltration, zur Nanofiltration, zur Per- vaporation, zur Umkehrosmose und zur Gastrennung, bedient man sich üblicherweise Memb- ranen, an die anspruchsvolle Forderungen gestellt werden. Vielfach bedient man sich anorganischer Membranen oder polymerer Membranen.
Als anorganische Membranen sind beispielsweise ΤΊΟ2- und Zr02-Membranen zu nennen, weiterhin Zeolithmembranen. Anorganische Membranen haben jedoch vielfach den Nachteil, dass sie eine gewisse Sprödigkeit aufweisen und daher bei mechanischer Belastung brechen können.
Dabei werden im Folgenden unter Materialien zur Stofftrennung solche Materialien verstanden, die beispielsweise durch Adsorptions-Desorptions-Vorgänge oder durch unterschiedliche Per- meabilitätseigenschaften die Abtrennung oder Anreicherung von einzelnen Komponenten aus Stoffgemischen erlauben. Zu nennen sind beispielsweise Membranen und stationäre Phasen für Chromatographiesäulen.
Neben dem Preis spielen für Materialien zur Stofftrennung insbesondere Faktoren wie Selektivi- tät, Permeabilität und mechanische Stabilität, insbesondere bei hohem Feeddruck, eine Rolle. Außerdem sollen Materialien zur Stofftrennung in organischen Lösemitteln nur geringfügig quellen.
In neuerer Zeit wurde vielfach vorgeschlagen, Polymere als Materialien zur Stofftrennung ein- zusetzen. So wurden bereits bestimmte Polyimide vorgeschlagen, die bis-
Trifluoromethyldiphenylidenmethan-Einheiten tragen, s. beispielsweise W.J. Koros et al., J. Membr. Sei. 1988, 37, 45; C. Staudt-Bickel et al., J. Membr. Sei. 1999, 155, 145, und die darin zitierte Literatur. Die in den zitierten Stellen beschriebenen Polyimide können zwar unter be-
stimmten Bedingungen zur Trennung von Olefin-Alkan-Gemischen eingesetzt werden, jedoch tritt bei Trennungen unter technisch interessanten Bedingungen in vielen Fällen starke Quellung auf, was die mechanischen Eigenschaften von beispielsweise Membranen negativ beeinflusst. Außerdem sind die vorgeschlagenen Materialien umständlich herzustellen und daher preislich ungünstig.
In US 2010/0038306 werden Membranmaterialien für die Nanofiltration beschrieben, die man durch Umsetzung von Polyimiden mit Diaminen erhalten kann. Im Material verbliebene Diamine sind jedoch bedenklich und können nur auf umständlichem Wege entfernt werden.
Es bestand also die Aufgabe, Werkstoffe bereit zu stellen, die sich als Materialien zur Stofftrennung gut eignen und die gute mechanische Eigenschaften haben, insbesondere nicht spröde sind, und die außerdem kein nachteiliges Quellverhalten zeigen. Demgemäß wurden die eingangs definierten polymeren Materialien gefunden. Erfindungsgemäße polymere Materialien sind erhältlich durch Umsetzung von
(A) mindestens einem Polyimid, auch Polyimid (A) genannt, gewählt aus Kondensationsprodukten von
(a) mindestens einem Polyisocyanat mit im Mittel mindestens zwei Isocyanatgruppen pro Molekül, kurz Polyisocyanat (a) genannt, und
(b) mindestens einer Polycarbonsäure mit mindestens 3 COOH-Gruppen pro Molekül, kurz Polycarbonsäure (b) genannt, oder ihrem Anhydrid, kurz Anhydrid (b) genannt, und
(B) mindestens einem Diol, im Folgenden auch Diol (B) genannt. Polyimid (A), welches linear oder verzweigt ist und gewählt wird aus Kondensationsprodukten von
(a) mindestens einem Polyisocyanat mit im Mittel mehr als zwei Isocyanatgruppen pro Molekül und
(b) mindestens einer Polycarbonsäure mit mindestens 3 COOH-Gruppen pro Molekül oder ihrem Anhydrid.
Polyimid (A) kann ein Molekulargewicht Mw im Bereich von 500 bis 200.000 g/mol aufweisen, bevorzugt sind mindestens 1 .000 g/mol. Polyimid (A) kann mindestens zwei Imidgruppen pro Molekül aufweisen, bevorzugt sind mindestens 3 Imidgruppen pro Molekül.
In einer Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung kann Polyimid (A) bis zu 1.000 Imidgruppen pro Molekül aufweisen, bevorzugt bis zu 660 pro Molekül.
In einer Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung bezeichnet die Angabe der Isocyanatgruppen bzw. der COOH-Gruppen pro Molekül jeweils den Mittelwert (Zahlenmittel).
Polyimid (A) kann aus strukturell und molekular einheitlichen Molekülen zusammengesetzt sein. Bevorzugt jedoch ist, wenn Polyimid (A) eine Mischung von molekular und strukturell unterschiedlichen Molekülen ist, beispielsweise sichtbar an der Polydispersität Mw/Mn von mindes- tens 1 ,4, bevorzugt Mw/Mn von 1 ,4 bis 50, bevorzugt 1 ,5 bis 10. Die Polydispersität kann man nach bekannten Methoden bestimmen, insbesondere durch Gelpermeationschromatographie (GPC). Geeigneter Standard ist beispielsweise Polymethylmethacrylat (PMMA).
In einer Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung weist Polyimid (A) neben Imidgruppen, die das Polymergerüst bilden, end- oder seitenständig weiterhin mindestens drei, bevorzugt mindestens sechs, mehr bevorzugt mindestens zehn end- oder seitenständige funktionelle Gruppen auf, auch Verzweigungen genannt. Bei funktionellen Gruppen in Polyimid (A) handelt es sich vorzugsweise um Anhydrid- oder Säuregruppen und/oder freie oder verkappte NCO- Gruppen. Polyimide (A) weisen vorzugsweise nicht mehr als 500 end- oder seitenständige funk- tionelle Gruppen auf, bevorzugt nicht mehr als 100.
Alkylgruppen wie beispielsweise Methylgruppen sind also keine Verzweigung eines Moleküls Polyimid (A). Polyisocyanat (a) kann man aus beliebigen Polyisocyanaten wählen, die im Mittel mindestens zwei Isocyanatgruppen pro Molekül aufweisen, die verkappt oder vorzugsweise frei vorliegen können. Bevorzugte Polyisocyanate (a) sind Diisocyanate, beispielsweise Hexamethylendiiso- cyanat, Isophorondiisocyanat, Toluylendiisocyanat, 4,4'-Diphenylmethandiisocyanat, 2,4'- Diphenylmethandiisocyanat, und Mischungen von mindestens zwei der vorstehend genannten Polyisocyanate (a). Bevorzugte Mischungen sind Mischungen von 4,4'-
Diphenylmethandiisocyanat und 2,4'-Diphenylmethandiisocyanat und Mischungen von 2,4- Toluylendiisocyanat und 2,6-Toluylendiisocyanat.
In einer anderen Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung wählt man Polyisocyanat (a) aus oligomerem Hexamethylendiisocyanat, oligomerem Tetramethylendiisocyanat, oligomerem Isophorondiisocyanat, oligomerem Diphenylmethandiisocyanat, trimerem Toluylendiisocyanat und Mischungen von mindestens zwei der vorstehend genannten Polyisocyanate (a). Beispielsweise liegt sogenanntes trimeres Hexamethylendiisocyanat in vielen Fällen nicht als reines trime- res Diisocyanat vor, sondern als Polyisocyanat mit einer mittleren Funktionalität von 3,6 bis 4 NCO-Gruppen pro Molekül. Analoges gilt für oligomeres Tetramethylendiisocyanat und oligo- meres Isophorondiisocyanat.
In einer Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung handelt es sich bei Polyisocyanat (a) um eine Mischung aus mindestens einem Diisocyanat und mindestens einem Triisocyanat oder einem Polyisocyanat mit mindestens 4 Isocyanatgruppen pro Molekül.
In einer Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung hat Polyisocyanat (a) im Mittel genau 2,0 Isocyanatgruppen pro Molekül. In einer anderen Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung hat Polyisocyanat (a) im Mittel mindestens 2,2, bevorzugt mindestens 2,5, besonders bevorzugt mindestens 3,0 Isocyanatgruppen pro Molekül.
In einer Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung hat Polyisocyanat (a) im Mittel bis zu 8, bevorzugt bis zu 6 Isocyanat-Gruppen pro Molekül.
In einer Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung wählt man Polyisocyanat (a) aus oligome- rem Hexamethylendiisocyanat, oligomerem Isophorondiisocyanat, oligomerem Diphenylmet- handiisocyanat und Mischungen der vorstehend genannten Polyisocyanate.
Polyisocyanat (a) kann neben Urethangruppen auch eine oder mehrere andere funktionelle Gruppen aufweisen, beispielsweise Harnstoff-, Allophanat-, Biuret-, Carbodiimid-, Amid-, Ester, Ether-, Uretonimin-, Uretdion-, Isocyanurat- oder Oxazolidingruppen.
Als Polycarbonsäuren (b) werden aliphatische oder vorzugsweise aromatische Polycarbonsäu- ren gewählt, die mindestens drei COOH-Gruppen pro Molekül aufweisen, oder die betreffenden Anhydride, vorzugsweise wenn sie in niedermolekularer, also nicht polymerer Form vorliegen. Auch solche Polycarbonsäuren mit drei COOH-Gruppen sind mit umfasst, bei denen zwei Carbonsäuregruppen als Anhydrid vorliegen und die dritte als freie Carbonsäure.
In einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung wählt man als Polycarbon- säure (b) eine Polycarbonsäure mit mindestens 4 COOH-Gruppen pro Molekül oder das betref- fende Anhydrid.
Beispiele für Polycarbonsäuren (b) und ihre Anhydride sind 1 ,2,3-Benzoltricarbonsäure und
1 .2.3- Benzoltricarbonsäureanhydrid, 1 ,3,5-Benzoltricarbonsäure (Trimesinsäure), bevorzugt
1 .2.4- Benzoltricarbonsäure (Trimellitsäure), Trimellitsäureanhydrid und insbesondere 1 ,2,4,5- Benzoltetracarbonsäure (Pyromellitsäure) und 1 ,2,4,5-Benzoltetracarbonsäuredianhydrid (Py- romellitsäuredianhydrid), 3,3',4,4'-Benzophenontetracarbonsäure, 3, 3', 4,4'- Benzophenontetracarbonsäuredianhydrid, weiterhin Benzolhexacarbonsäure (Mellitsäure) und Anhydride der Mellitsäure. Weiterhin geeignet sind Mellophansäure und Mellophansäureanhydrid, 1 ,2,3,4- Benzoltetracarbonsäure und 1 ,2,3,4-Benzoltetracarbonsäuredianhydrid, , 3,3,4,4- Biphenyltetracarbonsäure und 3,3,4,4-Biphenyltetracarbonsäuredianhydrid, 2,2,3,3- Biphenyltetracarbonsäure und 2,2,3,3-Biphenyltetracarbonsäuredianhydrid, 1 ,4,5,8- Naphthalintetracarbonsäure und 1 ,4,5,8-Naphthalintetracarbonsäuredianhydrid, 1 ,2,4,5- Naphthalintetracarbonsäure und 1 ,2,4,5-Naphthalintetracarbonsäuredianhydrid, 2,3,6,7- Naphthalintetracarbonsäure und 2,3,6,7-Naphthalintetracarbonsäuredianhydrid, 1 ,4,5,8- Decahydronaphthalintetracarbonsäure und 1 ,4,5,8-

In einer Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung setzt man Anhydride aus US 2,155,687 oder US 3,277,1 17 zur Synthese von Polyimid (A) ein.
Lässt man Polyisocyanat (a) und Polycarbonsaure (b) - vorzugsweise in Gegenwart eines Katalysators - miteinander kondensieren, so wird unter Abspaltung von CO2 und H2O eine Imid- gruppe gebildet. Setzt man statt Polycarbonsaure (b) das entsprechende Anhydrid ein, so wird unter Abspaltung von CO2 eine Imidgruppe gebildet.
Dabei steht R* für den in der obigen Reaktionsgleichung nicht weiter zu spezifizierenden Rest von Polyisocyanat (a), und n ist eine Zahl größer oder gleich 1 , beispielsweise 1 im Falle einer Tricarbonsäure oder 2 im Falle einer Tetracarbonsäure, wobei (HOOC)n durch eine Anhydrid- gruppe der Formel C(=0)-0-C(=0) ersetzt sein kann.
In einer Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung setzt man Polyisocyanat (a) in Mischung mit mindestens einem Diisocyanat ein, beispielsweise mit Toluylendiisocyanat, Hexamethylen- diisocyanat oder mit Isophorondiisocyanat. In einer besonderen Variante setzt man Polyisocya- nat (a) im Gemisch mit dem korrespondierenden Diisocyanat ein, beispielsweise trimeres HDI mit Hexamethylendiisocyanat oder trimeres Isophorondiisocyanat mit Isophorondiisocyanat o- der polymeres Diphenylmethandiisocyanat (Polymer MDI) mit Diphenylmethandiisocyanat.
In einer Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung setzt man Polycarbonsäure (b) in Mi- schung mit mindestens einer Dicarbonsaure oder mit mindestens einer Dicarbonsaureanhydrid ein, beispielsweise mit Phthalsäure oder Phthalsäureanhydrid.
Diol (B) bzw. Triol (B) kann niedermolekular oder hochmolekular sein. Beispiele für Triole (B) sind Glycerin und 1 ,1 ,1 -(Trihydroxmethylen)methan, 1 ,1 ,1 -(Trihydroxmethylen)ethan und 1 ,1 ,1 - (Trihydroxmethylen)propan.
Diole (B) sind bevorzugt.
Als niedermolekulare Diole (B), im Rahmen der vorliegenden Erfindung solche mit einem Mole- kulargewicht bis 500 g/mol, sind beispielhaft zu nennen: 1 ,2-Ethandiol, 1 ,2-Propandiol, 1 ,3- Propandiol, 1 ,2-Butandiol, 1 ,3-Butandiol, 1 ,4-Butandiol, 1 ,4-But-2-endiol, 1 ,4-But-2-indiol, 1 ,5- Pentandiol und seine Stellungsisomeren, 1 ,6-Hexandiol, 1 ,8-Oktandiol, 1 ,4- Bishydroxymethylcyclohexan, 2,2-bis-(4-hydroxycyclohexyl)propan, 2-Methyl-1 ,3-propandiol, Diethylenglykol, Triethylenglykol, Tetraethylenglykol und insbesondere 2, 2-Dimethylpropan-1 , 3- diol (Neopentylglykol).
Als polymere Diole sind zwei- oder mehrwertige Polyesterpolyole und Polyetherpolyole zu nennen, wobei die zweiwertigen bevorzugt sind. Als Polyetherpolyole kommen vorzugsweise Po- lyetherdiole in Betracht, wie sie zum Beispiel durch Bortrifluorid katalysierte Verknüpfung von Ethylenoxid, Propylenoxid, Butylenoxid, Tetrahydrofuran, Styroloxid oder Epichlorhydrin mit sich selbst oder untereinander oder durch Anlagerung dieser Verbindungen, einzeln oder im Gemisch, an Starterkomponenten mit reaktionsfähigen Wasserstoffatomen wie Wasser, mehrwertige Alkohole oder Amine wie 1 ,2-Ethandiol, Propandiol-(1 ,3), 1 ,2- oder 2,2-Bis-(4- hydroxyphenyl)propan oder Anilin erhältlich sind, in Betracht. Weiterhin sind Polyether-1 ,3- Diole, zum Beispiel das an einer OH-Gruppe alkoxylierte Trimethylolpropan, dessen Alkylen- oxidkette mit einem 1 bis 18 C-Atome enthaltenden Alkylrest abgeschlossen ist, vorzugsweise eingesetzte polymer Diole.
Bevorzugte polymere Diole sind: Polyethylenglykol, Polypropylenglykol und insbesondere Poly- tetrahydrofuran (Poly-THF).
Besonders bevorzugt werden Polyetherpolyole gewählt aus: Polyethylenglykol mit einem mittleren Molekulargewicht (Mn) im Bereich von 200 bis 9.000 g/mol, bevorzugt im Bereich von 500 bis 6.000 g/mol, Poly-1 ,2-propylenglykol oder Poly-1 ,3-propandiol mit einem mittleren Molekulargewicht (Mn) im Bereich von 250 bis 6.000, bevorzugt 600 bis 4.000 g/mol, Poly-THF mit ei- nem mittleren Molekulargewicht (Mn) im Bereich von oberhalb 250 bis 5.000, bevorzugt von 500 bis 3.000 g/mol, besonders bevorzugt im Bereich von 750 bis 2.500 g/mol.
Andere bevorzugte polymere Diole sind Polyesterpolyole (Polyesterdiole) und Polycarbonatdio- le.
Als Polycarbonatdiole sind insbesondere aliphatische Polycarbonatdiole zu nennen, beispielsweise 1 ,4-Butandiol-Polycarbonat und 1 ,6-Hexandiol-Polycarbonat.
Als Polyesterdiole sind solche zu nennen, die sich durch Polykondensation von mindestens einem primären Diol, vorzugsweise mindestens einen primären aliphatischen Diol, beispielsweise Ethylenglykol, 1 ,4-Butandiol, 1 ,6-Hexandiol, Neopentylglykol oder besonders bevorzugt 1 ,4- Dihydroxymethylcyclohexan (als Isomerengemisch) oder Mischungen von mindestens zwei der vorstehend genannten Diole einerseits und mindestens einer, bevorzugt mindestens zwei Di- carbonsäuren oder ihren Anhydriden andererseits herstellen lassen. Bevorzugte Dicarbonsäu- ren sind aliphatische Dicarbonsäuren wie Adipinsäure, Glutarsäure, Bernsteinsäure und aromatische Dicarbonsäuren wie beispielsweise Phthalsäure und insbesondere Isophthalsäure.
In einer Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung wählt man Polyesterdiole und Polycarbonatdiole aus solchen mit einem mittleren Molekulargewicht (Mn) im Bereich von 500 bis 9.000 g/mol, bevorzugt im Bereich von 500 bis 6.000 g/mol.
Ganz besonders bevorzugte Diole (B) sind Polytetrahydrofurane, beispielsweise mit einem mittleren Molekulargewicht Mn im Bereich von 250 bis 2.000 g/mol.
In einer Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung weist erfindungsgemäßes polymeres Ma- terial eine Säurezahl im Bereich von null bis 300 mg KOH/g auf, bestimmt nach DIN 53402, bevorzugt null bis 200 mg KOH/g.
In einer Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung hat erfindungsgemäßes polymeres Material eine Hydroxylzahl im Bereich von null bis 300 mg KOH/g, bestimmt nach DIN 53240-2, be- vorzugt null bis 200 mg KOH/g.
In einer Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung weist erfindungsgemäßes polymeres Material einen Quotienten Mw/Mn im Bereich von 1 ,2 bis 10 auf, bevorzugt, 1 ,5 bis 5, besonderes bevorzugt 1 ,8 bis 4. Dabei bestimmt man Mw und Mn vorzugsweise durch Gelpermeationschro- matographie.
Ein weiterer Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist die Verwendung von erfindungsgemäßen polymeren Materialien als oder zur Herstellung von Materialien zur Stofftrennung, beispielsweise als oder zur Herstellung von stationären Phasen für die Chromatographie, bevor- zugt als oder zur Herstellung von Membranen. Ein weiterer Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Materialien zur Stofftrennung, insbesondere zur Herstellung von stationären Phasen für die Chromatographie oder von Membranen, unter Verwendung von zumindest einem erfindungsgemäßen Material. Ein weiterer Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung sind Materialien zur Stofftrennung, beispielsweise stationäre Phasen für die Chromatographie und insbesondere Membranen, hergestellt unter Verwendung von mindestens einem erfindungsgemäßen polymeren Material.
Erfindungsgemäße Membranen können eine mittlere Dicke im Bereich von 0,01 bis 100 μηη, bevorzugt 1 bis 50 μηη, besonderes bevorzugt 1 bis 20 μηη aufweisen.
Erfindungsgemäße Membranen können als Hohlfasermembranen oder Flachmembranen ausgebildet sein. Spezielle Beispiele für Flachmembranen sind Wickelmembranen.
Erfindungsgemäße Membranen eignen sich für Membrantrennungsverfahren, insbesondere für die Nanofiltration, die Gastrennung, die Pervaporation, die Umkehrosmose, die Mikrofiltration und die Ultrafiltration, insbesondere Nanofiltration und Ultrafiltration mit in organischen Lösungsmitteln gelösten Substanzen.
Dabei wird unter Nanofiltration im Rahmen der vorliegenden Erfindung ein Membrantrennungs- verfahren verstanden, bei dem die eingesetzte Membran im Falle von nicht-porösen Membranen eine Trenngrenze (englisch: Molecular Weight Cut-Off, kurz MWCO) von 100 bis 1500 g/mol oder - in Varianten von porösen Membranen einen maximalen Porendurchmesser von 1
nm aufweist. Mit Hilfe der Nanofiltration lassen sich beispielsweise Substanzen abtrennen, die ein mittleres Molekulargewicht von unter 0,1 bzw. unter 1 ,5 kg/mol, also unter 100 bzw. unter 1 .500 g/mol aufweisen. Unter Ultrafiltration wird im Rahmen der vorliegenden Erfindung ein Membrantrennungsverfahren verstanden, bei dem die Membran eine Trenngrenze im Bereich von 1 .500 bis 1 .000.000 g/mol aufweist, oder Partikel abtrennt, die einen maximalen Durchmesser im Bereich von 10 bis 500 nm aufweisen. Unter Mikrofiltration wird im Rahmen der vorliegenden Erfindung ein Membrantrennungsverfahren verstanden, bei dem die Membran eine Trenngrenze oberhalb von 1 .000.000 g/mol aufweist, oder einen Porendurchmesser von 1 μηη bis 10 μηη aufweist.
Um Membranen aus erfindungsgemäßem polymeren Material herzustellen, kann man bei- spielsweise so vorgehen, dass man erfindungsgemäßes polymeres Material mit einer genau berechneten Menge eines Vernetzers, beispielsweise eines Diisocyanats oder Polyisocyanats, vernetzt, und zwar auf einer festen Oberfläche. Als Polyisocyanate kann man diejenigen wählen, die unter Polyisocyanat (a) genannt sind. Die Berechnung der Menge an Vernetzer kann beispielsweise aufgrund der OH-Zahl oder Säurezahl von erfindungsgemäßem polymerem Material einerseits und der Anzahl der funktionellen Gruppen, beispielsweise NCO-Gruppen, von Vernetzer andererseits erfolgen.
In einer weiteren Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung stellt man erfindungsgemäße Membranen her, indem man eine Lösung, enthaltend mindestens ein organisches Lösungsmit- tel, mindestens einen Vernetzer und mindestens ein erfindungsgemäßes polymeres Material, in Form eines Films auf einen Gegenstand mit einer glatten Oberfläche, beispielsweise auf eine Kunststoffplatte oder auf eine Glasplatte, aufträgt. Danach verdampft man das oder die Lösungsmittel und behandelt thermisch, beispielsweise in einem Bereich von 20°C bis 400°C, bevorzugt 40 bis 200°C, besonderes bevorzugt 50 bis 150°C. Dabei findet in situ eine Vernet- zungsreaktion statt. Die gewünschte Vernetzung kann man durch Zugabe eines Katalysators beschleunigen. Schließlich kann man erfindungsgemäße Membran nach der thermischen Behandlung vom Gegenstand mit glatter Oberfläche einfach abziehen.
In einer Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung verbindet man erfindungsgemäße Mem- bran mit einer weiteren Schicht, vorzugsweise mit einer Silikonschicht, beispielsweise durch Laminieren.
In einer anderen Ausführungsform kann man erfindungsgemäße Membranen als Hohlfaser- Membranen verspinnen. Derartige erfindungsgemäße Membranen sind besonders gut zur Gastrennung geeignet, aber auch als Schutzschichten.
Erfindungsgemäße Membranen können als integralasymmetrische oder als Komposit-Mem- branen ausgeführt sein, bei denen die eigentliche die Trennung bewirkende Trennschicht, die eine Dicke von 0,01 bis 100 μηη, bevorzugt 0,1 bis 20 μηη aufweist, auf einem oder mehreren meso- und/oder makroporösen Träger(n) aufgebracht ist, der/die aus einem oder mehreren or- ganischen, insbesondere polymeren und/oder anorganischen Material(ein), beispielsweise Keramik, Kohlenstoff, Metall besteht bzw. bestehen.
Erfindungsgemäße Membranen kann man in Form von Flach-, Kissen-, Kapillar-, Hohlfaser-, Monokanalrohr- oder Mehrkanalrohrelementen einsetzen. Die Geometrien sind dem Fachmann an sich aus anderen Membrantrennverfahren wie der Ultrafiltration oder Umkehrosmose bekannt (siehe z.B. R. Rautenbach„Membranverfahren, Grundlagen der Modul- und Anlagenauslegung", 1997, Springer Verlag). Bei Membranelementen mit Rohrgeometrie kann sich die Trennschicht auf der Innen- oder Außenseite des Rohrs befinden. In einer weiteren Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung umgibt man erfindungsgemäße Membranen mit einem oder mehreren Gehäusen aus polymerem, metallischem oder keramischem Material, wobei die Verbindung zwischen Gehäuse und Membran durch ein abdichtendes Polymer (z.B. Elastomer) oder durch ein anorganisches Material gebildet wird. Ein weiterer Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Trennung von Stoffgemischen unter Verwendung von erfindungsgemäßem polymerem Material, beispielsweise in Form von erfindungsgemäßen Membranen oder von erfindungsgemäßen stationären Phasen für Chromatographie. Erfindungsgemäße Verfahren zur Trennung von Stoffgemischen unter Verwendung von erfindungsgemäßem Material zur Stofftrennung werden im Folgenden auch erfindungsgemäßes Trennverfahren genannt.
Erfindungsgemäße Materialien zur Stofftrennung, beispielsweise erfindungsgemäße Membranen oder erfindungsgemäße Chromatographiesäulen, eigenen sich z.B. für folgende Trennaufgaben, d.h. zur Trennung der folgenden Stoffgemische:
Polyalkylenglykole von verschiedenen Molekulargewichten, beispielsweise Polyethylengly- kol/Polypropylenglycol-Blockcopolymers 6.500 g/mol - Polyethylenglykol 400 g/mol
Abtrennen von homogenen oder heterogenen Katalysatoren aus organischen Lösungsmitteln Monomer/Dimer Trennung
Entfärbung von organischen Lösungen
Entsalzung
Erfindungsgemäße Membranen zeigen in vielen Fällen keine Permeabilität gegenüber Wasser, auch nicht nach Konditionierung in THF. Hingegen zeigen erfindungsgemäße Membranen eine gute Permeabilität gegenüber organischen Lösungsmitteln, beispielsweise Aceton, Toluol, Isop- ropanol und Ethanol.
Erfindungsgemäße Membranen sind flexibel und einfach zu schneiden. In vielen Fällen sind erfindungsgemäße Membranen sind thermisch stabil, beispielsweise bis zu einer Temperatur von 200°C. Ein weiterer Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von erfindungsgemäßen polymeren Materialien, kurz auch erfindungsgemäßes Herstellungsverfahren genannt. Zur Durchführung des erfindungsgemäßen Herstellungsverfahrens kann man so vorgehen, dass man ein Polyimid (A), erhältlich durch Kondensation von
(a) mindestens einem Polyisocyanat mit im Mittel mindestens zwei Isocyanatgruppen pro Molekül und
(b) mindestens einer Polycarbonsäure mit mindestens 3 COOH-Gruppen pro Molekül oder ihr Anhydrid
umsetzt mit
(B) mindestens einem Diol.
Vorzugsweise weist Polyimid (A) eine Polydispersität Mw/Mn von mindestens 1 ,4 auf.
Polyimid (A), Polyisocyanat (a), Polycarbonsäure (b), Anhydrid (b) und Diol (B) sind vorstehend beschrieben. Das erfindungsgemäße Herstellungsverfahren ist ein Zweistufenverfahren. Dabei ist es möglich, nach der Herstellung von Polyimid (A) dieses zu isolieren und aufzureinigen. In einer anderen Variante führt man das erfindungsgemäße Herstellungsverfahren als Eintopfverfahren durch und unterlässt die Aufreinigung und Isolierung von Polyimid (A). Zur Durchführung des erfindungsgemäßen Syntheseverfahrens kann man Polyisocyanat (a) und Polycarbonsäure (b) bzw. Anhydrid (b) in einem Mengenverhältnis einsetzen, dass der molare Anteil von NCO-Gruppen zu COOH-Gruppen im Bereich von 1 : 3 bis 3 : 1 liegt, bevorzugt sind 1 : 2 bis 2 : 1 . Dabei zählt eine Anhydridgruppe der Formel CO-O-CO wie zwei COOH- Gruppen.
In einer Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung setzt man Polyimid (A) und Diol (B) in solchen Mengenverhältnissen ein, dass das Molverhältnis der Hydroxylgruppen aus Diol (B) sich verhält zur Summe aus NCO-Gruppen und COOH-Gruppen wie 1 :10 bis 10:1 , bevorzugt 1 :6 bis 6:1 , besonderes bevorzugt 1 :4 bis 4:1.
In einer Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung kann man im Bereich von 0,005 bis 0,1 Gew.-% Katalysator einsetzen, bezogen auf Summe aus Polyisocyanat (a) und Polycarbonsäure (b) bzw. Polyisocyanat (a) und Anhydrid (b). Bevorzugt sind 0,01 bis 0,05 Gew.-% Katalysator.
In einer Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung kann man das erfindungsgemäße Syntheseverfahren bei Temperaturen im Bereich von 50 bis 140°C durchführen, bevorzugt sind 50 bis 100°C. In einer Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung kann man das erfindungsgemäße Herstellungsverfahren bei Normaldruck durchführen. Aber auch die Synthese unter Druck, beispielsweise bei Drücken im Bereich von 1 ,1 bis 10 bar, ist möglich.
In einer Ausführungsform der der vorliegenden Erfindung kann man das erfindungsgemäße Syntheseverfahren in Gegenwart eines Lösungsmittels oder Lösungsmittelgemisches durchführen. Beispiele für geeignete Lösungsmittel sind N-Methylpyrrolidon, N-Ethylpyrrolidon, Dimethyl- formamid, Dimethylacetamid, Dimethylsulfoxid, Dimethylsulphone, Xylol, Phenol, Kresol, Keto- ne wie beispielsweise Aceton, Methylethylketon (MEK), Methylisobutylketon (MIBK), Aceto- phenon, weiterhin Mono- und Dichlorbenzol, Ethylenglykolmonoethyletheracetat, und Mischun- gen von zwei oder mehr der vorstehend genannten Lösungsmittel. Dabei können das oder die Lösungsmittel während der gesamten Dauer der Synthese oder nur während eines Teils der Synthese anwesend sein.
Man kann beispielsweise über einen Zeitraum von 10 Minuten bis 24 Stunden umsetzen.
In einer Variante des erfindungsgemäßen Syntheseverfahrens kann man NCO-Endgruppen von Polyimid (A) mit sekundärem Amin blocken, beispielsweise mit Dimethylamin, Di-n-butylamin oder mit Diethylamin. In einer Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung führt man das erfindungsgemäße Herstellungsverfahren ohne Zugabe eines Katalysators durch.
In einer anderen Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung führt man das erfindungsgemäße Herstellungsverfahren mit Hilfe eines Katalysators durch, beispielsweise durch Zumischen von mindestens einem in der Polyurethanchemie gebräuchlichen Katalysator.
Als Katalysatoren sind insbesondere Wasser und Bransted-Basen geeignet, beispielsweise Alkalimetallalkoholate, insbesondere Alkanolate von Natrium oder Kalium, beispielsweise Natri- ummethanolat, Natriumethanolat, Natriumphenolat, Kaliummethanolat, Kaliumethanolat, Kali- umphenolat, Lithiummethanolat, Lithiumethanolat und Lithiumphenolat.
Weiterhin als Katalysatoren sind tertiäre Amine, Amidine und/oder organische Metallverbindungen geeignet. Beispiele sind 2,3-Dimethyl-3,4,5,6-tetrahydropyrimidin, tertiäre Amine wie Triethylamin, Tributy- lamin, Dimethylbenzylamin, N-Methyl-, N-Ethyl-, N-Cyclohexylmorpholin, Ν,Ν,Ν',Ν'- Tetramethylethylendiamin, Ν,Ν,Ν',Ν'-Tetramethyl-butandiamin, Ν,Ν,Ν',Ν'-Tetramethyl-
hexandiamin, Pentamethyl-diethylentriamin, Tetramethyl-diaminoethylether, Bis- (dimethylaminopropyl)-harnstoff, Dimethylpiperazin, 1 ,2-Dimethylimidazol, 1 -Aza-bicyclo-(3,3,0)- octan und vorzugsweise 1 ,4-Diaza-bicyclo-(2,2,2)-octan und Alkanolaminverbindungen, wie Triethanolamin, Triisopropanolamin, N-Methyl- und N-Ethyl-diethanolamin und Dimethyletha- nolamin verwendet. Ebenso kommen als Katalysatoren Metallverbindungen in Betracht, vorzugsweise Zinnverbindungen wie Zinn-(ll)-salze von organischen Carbonsäuren, z.B. Zinn-(ll)- acetat, Zinn-(ll)-octoat, Zinn-(ll)-ethylhexoat und Zinn-(ll)-laurat und bevorzugt Organo- Zinnverbindungen, besonders bevorzugt Dialkylzinn-(IV)-salze von organischen Carbonsäuren, insbesondere insbesondere Di-n-Ci-Cio-Alkyl-zinnalkanoate, z. B. Di-n-butyl-zinndiacetat, Di-n- butylzinndilaurat, Di-n-butylzinn-maleat und Di-n-octylzinn-diacetat, sowie Bismutcarboxylate, wie Bismut(lll)-neodecanoat, Bismut-2-etyhlhexanoat und Bismut-octanoat oder Mischungen davon. Metallverbindungen bzw. Organometallverbindungen können allein oder in Kombination mit basischen Aminen eingesetzt werden. Als weiterer bevorzugter Katalysator wird Di-n-butylzinnmercaptid eingesetzt oder Di-n- Butylzinndioktanoat.
In einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung führt man das erfindungsgemäße Syntheseverfahren unter Inertgas durch, beispielsweise unter Argon oder unter Stick- Stoff.
Wenn man wasserempfindliche Bransted-Base als Katalysator verwendet, so ist es bevorzugt, Inertgas und Lösungsmittel zu trocknen. Wenn man Wasser als Katalysator verwendet, so kann man auf die Trocknung von Lösungsmittel und Inertgas verzichten.
Durch das erfindungsgemäße Herstellverfahren erhält man - gegebenenfalls nach einer Aufarbeitung, beispielsweise nach Entfernen von Lösungsmittel - erfindungsgemäßes polymeres Material. Die Erfindung wird durch Arbeitsbeispiele erläutert. Allgemeine Anmerkungen:
Polyisocyanat (a.1 ): 4,4'-Diphenylmethandiisocyanat
Anhydrid (b.1 ): 1 ,2,4,5-Benzoltetracarbonsäuredianhydrid
Die Molekulargewichte wurden durch Gelpermeationschromatographie (GPC) bestimmt. Als Standard diente Polystyrol (PS). Als Lösungsmittel diente Tetrahydrofuran (THF), wenn nicht ausdrücklich anders angegeben. Detektion erfolgte mit einem Differentialrefraktometer Agilent 1 100, bzw. einem UV-Photometer Agilent 1 100 VWD.
Der NCO-Gehalt wurde titrimetrisch nach DIN EN ISO 1 1 909 bestimmt und in Gew.-% angegeben.
Die Synthesen wurden unter Stickstoff durchgeführt, wenn nicht anders beschrieben.
Synthesebeispiele:
I. Herstellung von erfindungsgemäßen polymeren Materialien
1.1 Synthese von erfindungsgemäßem polymerem Material (PM.1 )
In einem 4-l-Vierhalskolben mit Tropftrichter, Rückflusskühler, Innenthermometer und Teflon- Rührer legte man 100 g (0,46 mol) Anhydrid (b.1 ) vor, gelöst in 1400 ml Aceton, welches vor der Reaktion nicht getrocknet wurde und daher Wasser enthielt. Dann gab man bei 20°C trop- fenweise 173 g (0,69 mol) Polyisocyanat (a.1 ) zu. Man erwärmte unter Rühren auf 55°C. Man rührte weitere sechs Stunden unter Rückfluss bei 55°C. Danach gab man 600 g Poly-THF mit einem mittleren Molekulargewicht Mn von 1.000 g/mol (0,6 mol) zu. Man erhöhte die Temperatur auf 60°C und destillierte dabei Aceton innerhalb von 4 Stunden bei Normaldruck ab. Danach erwärmte man auf 125°C und senkte den Druck auf 200 mbar. Danach wurde der Rückstand im Kolben mit Stickstoff gestrippt. Man erhielt erfindungsgemäßes polymeres Material (PM.1 ) als feste gelbe Masse.
Mn = 8360 g/mol, Mw= 21000 g/mol OH-Zahl: 22 mg KOH/g
Säurezahl: 88 mg KOH/g
1.2 Synthese von erfindungsgemäßem polymerem Material (PM.2) In einem 4-l-Vierhalskolben mit Tropftrichter, Rückflusskühler, Innenthermometer und Teflon- Rührer legte man 100 g (0,46 mol) Anhydrid (b.1 ) vor, gelöst in 1400 ml Aceton, welches vor der Reaktion nicht getrocknet wurde und daher Wasser enthielt. Dann gab man bei 20°C tropfenweise 1 15 g (0,46 mol) Polyisocyanat (a.1 ) zu. Man erwärmte unter Rühren auf 55°C. Man rührte weitere sechs Stunden unter Rückfluss bei 55°C. Danach gab man 1000 g Poly-THF mit einem mittleren Molekulargewicht Mn von 1.000 g/mol (1 ,0 mol) zu und rührte unter Rückfluss bei 55°C für 14 Stunden. Man erhöhte die Temperatur auf 60°C und destillierte dabei Aceton innerhalb von 4 Stunden bei Normaldruck ab. Danach erwärmte man auf 125°C und senkte den Druck auf 200 mbar. Danach wurde der Rückstand im Kolben mit Stickstoff gestrippt. Man erhielt erfindungsgemäßes polymeres Material (PM.2) als feste gelbe Masse.
Mn = 7.250 g/mol, Mw= 16.900 g/mol OH-Zahl: 26 mg KOH/g
Säurezahl: 40 mg KOH/g
1.3 Synthese von erfindungsgemäßem polymerem Material (PM.3)
In einem 4-l-Vierhalskolben mit Tropftrichter, Rückflusskühler, Innenthermometer und Teflon- Rührer legte man 100 g (0,46 mol) Anhydrid (b.1 ) vor, gelöst in 1400 ml Aceton, vor welches vor der Reaktion nicht getrocknet wurde und daher Wasser enthielt. Dann gab man bei 20°C tropfenweise 1 15 g (0,69 mol) Polyisocyanat (a.1 ) zu. Man erwärmte unter Rühren auf 55°C. Man rührte weitere sechs Stunden unter Rückfluss bei 55°C. Danach gab man 300 g Poly-THF mit einem mittleren Molekulargewicht Mn von 1.000 g/mol (0,3 mol) zu. Man rührte weitere sechs Stunden unter Rückfluss bei 55°C und erhöhte danach die Temperatur auf 60°C und destillierte dabei Aceton innerhalb von 4 Stunden bei Normaldruck ab. Danach erwärmte man auf 125°C und senkte den Druck auf 200 mbar. Danach wurde der Rückstand im Kolben mit Stick- stoff gestrippt. Man erhielt erfindungsgemäßes polymeres Material (PM.3) als feste gelbe Masse.
Mn =3670 g/mol, Mw= 1 1 .900 g/mol OH-Zahl: 37mg KOH/g
Säurezahl: 144 mg KOH/g
1.4 Synthese von erfindungsgemäßem polymerem Material (PM.4) In einem 4-l-Vierhalskolben mit Tropftrichter, Rückflusskühler, Innenthermometer und Teflon- Rührer legte man 100 g Anhydrid (b.1 ) (0,46 mol) vor, gelöst in 1400 ml Aceton, vor welches vor der Reaktion nicht getrocknet wurde und daher Wasser enthielt. Dann gab man bei 20°C tropfenweise 173 g (0,69 mol) Polyisocyanat (a.1 ) zu. Man erwärmte unter Rühren auf 55°C. Man rührte weitere fünf Stunden unter Rückfluss bei 55°C. Danach gab man 390 g Poly-THF mit einem mittleren Molekulargewicht Mn von 650 g/mol (0,6 mol) zu. Man erhöhte die Temperatur auf 60°C und destillierte dabei Aceton innerhalb von 7 Stunden bei Normaldruck ab. Danach erwärmte man auf 80°C und senkte den Druck auf 200 mbar. Danach wurde der Rückstand im Kolben mit Stickstoff gestrippt. Man erhielt erfindungsgemäßes polymeres Material (PM.4) als feste gelbe Masse.
Mn =5900 g/mol, Mw= 14000 g/mol OH-Zahl: 14 mg KOH/g
Säurezahl: 107 mg KOH/g
1.5 Synthese von erfindungsgemäßem polymerem Material (PM.5)
In einem 4-l-Vierhalskolben mit Tropftrichter, Rückflusskühler, Innenthermometer und Teflon- Rührer legte man 100 g (0,46 mol) Anhydrid (b.1 ) vor, gelöst in 1400 ml Aceton, vor welches vor der Reaktion nicht getrocknet wurde und daher Wasser enthielt. Dann gab man bei 20°C tropfenweise 173 g (0,69 mol) Polyisocyanat (a.1 ) zu. Man erwärmte unter Rühren auf 55°C. Man rührte weitere fünf Stunden unter Rückfluss bei 55°C. Danach gab man 173 g Poly-THF
mit einem mittleren Molekulargewicht Mn von 250 g/mol (0,6 mol) zu. Man erhöhte die Temperatur auf 60°C und destillierte dabei Aceton innerhalb von 7 Stunden bei Normaldruck ab. Danach erwärmte man auf 80°C und senkte den Druck auf 200 mbar. Danach wurde der Rückstand im Kolben mit Stickstoff gestrippt. Man erhielt erfindungsgemäßes polymeres Material (PM.5) als feste gelbe Masse.
Mn =4360 g/mol, Mw= 8370 g/mol
OH-Zahl: 12 mg KOH/g
Säurezahl: 151 mg KOH/g
II. Herstellung einer erfindungsgemäßen Membran aus (PM.1 ) oder (PM.3), allgemeine Vorschrift In einem Becherglas wog man erfindungsgemäßes polymeres Material gemäß Tabelle 1 ein und gab 1 ,3-Dioxolan als Lösungsmittel zu. Man rührte über einen Zeitraum von 30 Minuten mit einem Magnetrührer und erhielt eine durchsichtige Lösung. Anschließend gab man Vernetzer (CL.1 ) gemäß Tabelle 1 zu und rührte 5 Minuten lang weiter. Danach wurde mit einer Laborrakel eine Membran hergestellt. Dazu wurde ein Rakeltisch (Erichsen, Coatmaster 509 MC-1 ) auf 80°C eingestellt und die vorstehend beschriebene Lösung auf eine Glasplatte mit einer Nassfilmdicke von 100 μηη gegossen. Dann zog man aus der Lösung einen Film auf eine Glasplatte, der eine Nassfilmdicke von 100 μηη aufwies. Man ließ den nassen Film 15 Minuten an der Luft trocknen und gab ihn dann für 24 Stunden in ein Was- serbad, das Zimmertemperatur hatte. Anschließend trocknete man 24 Stunden in einem Vaku- umtrockenschrank bei 80°C. Man erhielt erfindungsgemäße Membranen.
Eingesetzte Vernetzer: (CL.1 ): Polymeres 4,4'-Diphenylmethandiisocyanat mit Funktionalität von 2,7, NCO: 31 ,5%

Der MWCO der erfindungsgemäßen Membranen MEMB.1 bzw. MEMB.3 war etwa 6,5 kg/mol, ermittelt durch Bestimmung der Retention einer 10 Gew.-% Lösung von Polyethylenglykol (Mw 400 g/mol) und eines Polyethylenglykol/Polypropylenglykol-Blockcopolymers (mit Mw = 6500 g/mol) in THF.
Claims
Patentansprüche
Polymeres Material, erhältlich durch Umsetzung von
(A) mindestens einem Polyimid, gewählt aus Kondensationsprodukten von
(a) mindestens einem Polyisocyanat mit im Mittel mindestens zwei Isocyanatgrup- pen pro Molekül und
(b) mindestens einer Polycarbonsäure mit mindestens 3 COOH-Gruppen pro Molekül oder ihrem Anhydrid, mit
(B) mindestens einem Diol oder Triol.
Polymeres Material nach Anspruch 1 , dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man Polyimid (A) wählt aus solchen Polyimiden, die ein Molekulargewicht Mw von mindestens 1 .000 g/mol aufweisen.
Polymeres Material nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man als Polycarbonsäure (b) eine Polycarbonsäure mit mindestens 4 COOH-Gruppen pro Molekül oder das betreffende Anhydrid wählt.
Polymeres Material nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man Polyisocyanat (a) wählt aus Hexamethylendiisocyanat, Tetramethylendiisocyanat, Isophorondiisocyanat, 4,4'-Diphenylmethandiisocyanat, 2,4'-Diphenylmethandiisocyanat, Toluylendiisocyanat und Mischungen von mindestens zwei der vorstehend genannten Po- lyisocyanate (a).
Polymeres Material nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man Polyisocyanat (a) wählt aus oligomerem Hexamethylendiisocyanat, oligomerem Tetramethylendiisocyanat, oligomerem Isophorondiisocyanat, oligomerem Diphenylmet- handiisocyanat, trimerem Toluylendiisocyanat und Mischungen von mindestens zwei der vorstehend genannten Polyisocyanate (a).
Polymeres Material nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man Diol (B) wählt aus Diolen mit einem Molekulargewicht Mw im Bereich von 250 bis 5.000 g/mol.
Polymeres Material nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man Diol (B) wählt aus Polyethylenglykolen, Polypropylenglykolen, Polyesterdiolen, Poly- carbonatdiolen und Polytetrahydrofuran.
Polymeres Material nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es eine Säurezahl im Bereich von null bis 300 mg KOH/g aufweist.
9. Polymeres Material nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es eine Hydroxylzahl im Bereich von null bis 300 mg KOH/g aufweist.
10. Verwendung von polymerem Material nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 9 als oder zur Herstellung von Membranen.
1 1 . Verfahren zur Herstellung von Membranen unter Verwendung von mindestens einem polymeren Material nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 9. 12. Membran, enthaltend oder hergestellt unter Verwendung von mindestens einem polymeren Material nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 9.
13. Verwendung von Membranen nach Anspruch 12 in Membrantrennungsverfahren. 14. Verwendung von polymeren Materialien nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 9 als stationäre Phase bei der Chromatographie.
15. Verfahren zur Herstellung von polymeren Materialien nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man ein Polyimid (A), erhältlich durch Kondensation von
(a) mindestens einem Polyisocyanat mit im Mittel mindestens zwei Isocyanatgrup- pen pro Molekül und
(b) mindestens einer Polycarbonsäure mit mindestens 3 COOH-Gruppen pro Molekül oder ihr Anhydrid
umsetzt mit
(B) mindestens einem Diol oder Triol.
Verfahren nach Anspruch 15, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man Polyimid (A) mit Diol (B) mit Hilfe eines Katalysators umsetzt.
Verfahren nach Anspruch 16, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man den Katalysator wählt aus Di-n-Ci-Cio-Alkyl-zinnalkanoaten.
