Abstract

L'invention porte sur un tissu pare-balles et sur un procédé pour sa production, lesquels présentent une propriété anti-traumatique améliorée et réduisent au minimum une détérioration des propriétés pare-balles même après l'utilisation dans des conditions difficiles pendant une longue période de temps. Le tissu pare-balles comprend un tissu comprenant au moins une fibre de haute résistance choisie dans le groupe comprenant une fibre de polyéthylène de masse moléculaire élevée, une fibre d'aramide et une fibre de polybenzoxazole, et une couche hydrophobe disposée sur la fibre de haute résistance, la couche hydrophobe étant formée par traitement du tissu avec un agent hydrophobe comprenant un fluorocarbone et une résine de renforcement de dureté, et la résine de renforcement de dureté étant une résine de poly(acétate de vinyle), une résine polyester, une résine polyacrylate, une résine de mélamine ou un mélange de deux ou plus de deux de celles-ci.
