Description
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Bandfinishen von Werkstücken, die während der Finishbearbeitung mit wechselnder Drehrichtung in Rotation versetzt werden.The invention relates to a method for band finishing of workpieces which are set in rotation during the finish machining with alternating direction of rotation.
Bei dem Verfahren, von dem die Erfindung ausgeht, wird ein Finishband von einer Bandrolle abgezogen, um eine drehbar gelagerte Druckrolle geführt und mittels einer Haspel auf eine Leerhülse aufgewickelt. Dabei wirkt ein um die Druckrolle geführter Bandabschnitt des Finishbandes auf das Werkstück und führt mit der Druckrolle oszillierende Bewegungen quer zur Bahnrichtung des Finishbandes aus. Das Verfahren kann zur Feinstbearbeitung von Umfangflächen an wellenförmigen bzw. rotationssymmetrischen Werkstücken eingesetzt werden. Dabei wird das Werkstück rotierend angetrieben und der Rotation des Werkstückes eine oszillierende Bewegung der durch das Finishband gebildeten Werkzeugfläche überlagert. Das Finishband wird an der Kontaktstelle mechanisch abgenutzt. Durch einen Bandvorschub wird für die Finishbearbeitung stets eine nicht abgenutzte Werkzeugfläche zur Verfügung gestellt. Im Unterschied zum Bandschleifen läuft das Finishband nicht als Endlosband kontinuierlich um, sondern wird von einer Bandrolle abgezogen und mittels einer Haspel aufgewickelt. Die Rotation des Werkstückes ist üblicherweise der Bewegungsrichtung des Finishbandes entgegengesetzt. Die entgegengesetzte Rotation vergrößert die in der Bearbeitungsstelle auf das Finishband wirkenden Zugspannung und stellt sicher, dass das Finishband fest an der Druckrolle anliegt. Bei der Finishbearbeitung von Nockenflächen und ähnlichen Werkstücken, die bei einer Drehbewegung eine auflaufende und wieder ablaufende Flanke aufweisen, wird die Drehrichtung des Werkstückes während der Finishbearbeitung gewechselt. Bei einer Drehrichtung, die gleichsinnig zur Bahnrichtung des Finishbandes ist, reduziert sich die Zugspannung an der Bearbeitungsstelle und besteht die Gefahr der Bildung einer Lose. Um diesem Effekt entgegenzuwirken, muss die Bremskraft des Abwicklers stark erhöht werden. Zum Antreiben der Haspel kann dabei ein Drehantrieb verwendet werden, der unabhängig von dem Durchmesser der aufgewickelten Bandrolle mit einer konstanten Drehzahl angetrieben wird, wobei die Drehzahl des Drehantriebes so festgelegt ist, dass die der Drehzahl des Drehantriebes entsprechende Aufwickelgeschwindigkeit zumindest der Abzugsgeschwindigkeit des Finishbandes entspricht. Zwischen dem Drehantrieb und der Haspel wird eine Rutschkupplung zum Ausgleich der Differenzgeschwindigkeit zwischen der durch den Drehantrieb vorgegebenen Aufwickelgeschwindigkeit und der Abzugsgeschwindigkeit angeordnet.
