Dieser Klebstoff ist auch für schlechtere Papierqualität vorteilhaft einsetzbar, z.B. gestrichene Papiere, bei denen der Anteil der Strichbestandteile den für die Festigkeit erforderlichen Faseranteil überwiegt, und die sich auch schlechter aufrauen lassen, um die Faser für die Verklebung freizulegen.

Die zweite Kammer kann eine längliche Erstreckung aufweisen oder eine runde Ausgestaltung besitzen. Im Fall der länglichen Erstreckung kann der Schieber translatorisch in der Kammer bewegt werden. Im Fall der runden Ausgestaltung kann der Schieber rotatorisch bewegt werden. Die zweite Kammer stellt somit ein Reservoir mit veränderlichem Volumen dar, welches genutzt werden kann zur Aufnahme von überschüssigem Klebstoff wenn von einem Buchblock größerer Dicke auf einen Buchblock geringerer Dicke umgestellt wird bzw. zur Abgabe von zusätzlichem Klebstoff wenn von einem Buchblock geringerer Dicke auf einen Buchblock größerer Dicke umgestellt wird. Weiterhin ist ein Schieber vorgesehen zur Veränderung der Breite der Kammer. Wird beim Verschieben des Schiebers zur Reduzierung der Breite der Kammer Klebstoff verdrängt, so wird die Membran ausgedehnt und stellt einen Ausgleichsraum bereit, in welchem der verdrängte Klebstoff aufgenommen werden kann. Dazu ist die Membran aus einem elastischen Werkstoff gefertigt.
